Beck hadn't realized how strong Bianca's presence was in his trailer until he returned to it for the first time after their break from filming.

He takes a deep breath before flipping the light on and looking around the small space. To anyone else, it would just look like a trailer. Nothing special. But Beck sees nothing but memories. Their wedding photo sits on the small table beside his couch, a strip of pictures they took in a photo booth at a charity event last year are taped to his mirror, love notes that she would slip into his bag every so often sit piled up on the vanity. It feels like Bianca is standing right there with him, and Beck immediately sets to work trying to change that.

It feels wrong to throw these things away, things that had once meant so much to him and hold so many memories, but it feels wrong to keep them as well. Bianca isn't his wife anymore, she's already dropped the 'Oliver' off of the end of her name and is going by Bianca Thompson again professionally. They do not want the same things out of life, Beck reminds himself. They're not getting back together, there is no hope for them anymore. He ends up shoving everything in a plastic bag and throwing it in the corner where he can't see it, he'll figure out what to do with all of it later.

There's a knock at the trailer's door, startling him a bit. Normally he leaves the door propped open when he's inside, unless he's changing, a subtle invitation for anyone passing by to stop in if they want to. Today he had closed it though, wanting to be alone when he sorted through everything. It's also early, close to an hour before his call time, so he isn't sure who would be knocking if no one would be expecting him here yet.

"You can come in!" He calls out to the person on the other side of the door

If someone is looking for him already, he figures it must be important. It's their first day back to filming season two, it cold very well be something dire.

"Hey..."

He's surprised, if not shocked, to see Jade West make her way up the steps and enter the trailer.

"Hey." He greets her "You're...you're here early."

"So are you."

"I just wanted to get some things in order before we got the day started." He tells her "Haven't been here in a few months, y'know?"

"I don't know, actually." Jade chuckles "I've still been here writing this whole time."

"Really?"

"You guys can't come back to work until I get the scripts written." Jade shrugs "Otherwise we'd have nothing to shoot."

"Fair enough." Beck chuckles, then feels his expression become serious again "So, uh...what's up?"

He's thankful for her distracting him from his thoughts, but it's not like her to just pop in...at least to pop in on him. They're friends...or at least they're friendly...but their relationship isn't really like that.

"I just, uh..." Jade hesitates, sitting down on the arm of the couch "Look, I'm just going to be blunt here, okay?"

"That's your usual style, isn't it?" Beck smirks "Blunt?"

"I guess so." Jade nods "Anyway, I know that you've been through some shit since I saw you at the wrap party, and I'm sorry that you had to go through it so publicly. Divorce fucking sucks and I wanted to make sure that you're okay, both as your boss and...well, as your friend...I guess."

"Thanks, Jade."

"You didn't answer the question." She says "Are you okay, Beck?"

"S'kinda a loaded question, isn't it?" Beck sighs

He plops down on the couch with a heavy grunt, and Jade slides off of the arm to sit beside him. They've been alone, just the two of them, before, but the conversation has never been this serious. They're always talking about a script, or where the storyline is going to take Beck's character, or making small talk about the other's family in an attempt to be polite. Jade will admit, she's here as his friend, but mostly as a showrunner. He's the lead, and she needs to make sure that he's going to be able to do his job, despite everything.

"I know it is." She admits "There's just really no other way to ask it."

"I'm fine." He tells her, although Jade can't tell if it's the truth "It's for the best."

"I didn't even realize that you were having problems..."

Not that she really paid that close attention. She had been dealing with the fallout from her own breakup when they were filming last season, maybe it was obvious and she had just been too distracted to see it. Not to mention she never saw Beck outside of work, and had only met Bianca once. She seemed plenty nice, exactly the type of girl she figured Beck would end up with, but between her own failed relationships and watching her parents...she knows better than to take what she sees at face-value.

"Neither did we." Beck shrugs "Well, maybe she did...but I didn't. I had been ready to have kids for...well, for a while. And when I brought it up most recently she told me that she didn't want to have kids at all. We wanted different futures for ourselves and something like that is too major to compromise on."

Jade has to stop herself from laughing so that she doesn't seem insensitive. It's not that she finds what he's saying to be funny, it's just that it feels all too familiar. Sometimes she wonders if Andrew ever wanted to have kids, if that was the future he saw for himself. She knows that if he did see children in his future, he only saw sons...that is something he's made quite clear over the past three years or so.

"I'm going to be able to do my job, if that's your next question." Beck adds "I can separate my personal life from work, that won't be a problem. I actually think work will be a great distraction."

"That was going to be the very last thing I asked you." Jade tells him "I...I know that breakups can be brutal, I went through something very similar last year and as great as my support system was...I didn't have anyone who had been through something like I was going through. So if you ever want to talk about it...or if you ever need someone to listen while you vent about it...you know where my office is."

"Thanks, Jade."

She reaches out and touches his shoulder, and he looks up at her. They make eye contact and for a moment, something lingers between them...something that feels familiar.

"So listen." Beck clears his throat and stands up, severing whatever the connection has been "I, uh...I just moved, and I was thinking about having everyone over sometime soon. You and Tori and Andre and Cat and Robbie...the kids. I know we've all seen each other around and everything, obviously you and Cat are still close, but I don't think we've all been together in the same place since before we left for college. I thought it might be nice to get us all together again, especially since uh, well Tori and Andre have a son that's about your daughter's age...maybe they'll like playing together."

"Sure." Jade nods "That sounds nice, Beck."

"Good." He nods as well "Okay good, I'll...uh, I'll let you know."

"Great." Jade stands up, sensing the awkwardness now "I'm going to go make sure that our stage manager has the right sets ready to go for us. I'll see you over there eventually."

"See you."
