It takes Beck and Jade a bit longer to get married than they had originally expected.

After the end of Cloverfield Isle, while she was still pregnant with Jake, Jade had started working on a new project. A movie this time, something she expected to take her three or four years to complete that really only ended up taking about eight months because the ideas just kept coming and she had the free time. She submitted it to her studio for consideration not long after Jake was born, and they had picked it up by the end of the year and she was given the opportunity to direct her first feature film. She and Beck both decided the wedding planning could wait.

Of course, she needed a male lead she knew she could trust to play the role authentically. Beck still had to audition, but it he was the obvious best choice. The movie was a hit and justified a sequel, which Jade is currently in the middle of writing along with the help of a few trusted advisors she knows from her days working on her very first TV show. In the meantime, Beck has had offers coming in left and right, so many that he's had to turn some down. He's done a romance movie, a comedy, and just made his debut as Marvel's newest super hero. They guaranteed him at least a trilogy of films, but he made sure his contract stated filming Jade's new sequel will take priority over everything else.

While they're both living their dreams, there have still been plenty of ups and downs. For a majority of the start of their relationship, the couple had been used to working together. When the time came for them to start working on separate projects, sometimes in separate places, it was hard. They argued some, it was frustrating...but they always found their way back to each other. At the end of the day, they each always knew that the other was the one they wanted to be with...that they were meant to be with.

"You look so pretty, Mama!" Jake gasps, appearing at Jade's side

"Thank you, Jake..." Jade chuckles, kneeling down beside him "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be with your dad."

"I wanteda see your pretty dress." Drew smiles, knowing that his mother can't be mad at a response like that "It's very pretty."

He's three now, and will be starting preschool in the fall. His features are a perfect mix of his parents, Jade's fair skin and smile with Beck's dark and fluffy hair and brown eyes. His demeanor is a mix as well; there are moments where he can be mischievous like his mother...but he usually displays his father's calm and collected attitude. Jacob Oliver has absolutely stolen his parents hearts. Little do Beck and Jade know, however, he'll one day steal the hearts of the whole world...when he grows up to become a famous and beloved actor just like his father.

"Thank you, Jake." Jade smirks, kissing the tip of her son's nose before she stands up "Are you all ready?"

"Uh huh!"

"Jake!" Drew exclaims, entering the room "You're not supposed to be in here!"

"I wanteda see Mama!" Jake repeats, his tone implying that he thought that fact was very obvious "Lookit how pretty she is!"

"You look great, Mom." Drew smiles, stepping further into the dressing room

"Thank you, baby." Jade tells him as she straightens his tie "So do you."

"Beck says I look handsome."

Although his relationship with his soon-to-be step-father is stronger than ever, the eight year-old still prefers to call him 'Beck' rather than switching over to 'Dad' like his older sister had, and will continue to call him 'Beck' for the rest of his life. Drew's relationship with his birth father will be good for a few more years still before it begins to turn rocky and unfortunately, they'll have a falling out when he turns sixteen over the way Andrew has treated Drew's mother and older sister. They'll stop speaking altogether once Drew goes away to college. He'll keep the name Powell, but will come to see Beck as the true father-figure in his life. Beck will be the one he runs to hug when he's twenty-two and wins an olympic silver medal in the 400m sprint. Beck will be the one he turns to when he's nervous about proposing to his girlfriend, and he will also be the man that he and his wife Natalie Jade Powell (neé Valentine-Shapiro) name their first son after.

"You certainly do." Jade assures him "Both of my boys do."

"Alright you two, get out of here." Cat shoos the two boys back into the hallway "Go make sure Beck is ready, we can't delay this wedding because his hair isn't done."

"Okay, okay, we're going!"

"Bye Mama!" Jake blows a kiss to Jade as Drew drags him out of the room "I love you!"

"I love you too, baby!" Jade calls after him "They look so grown up. I could cry, Cat."

"Don't look at Harper then." Cat chuckles

Jade turns over her shoulder to look at her daughter, whose hair and, just the slightest bit of, makeup Cat had just recently completed. There is not hypothetical this time, Jade really does tear up. Standing there in her flower girl dress styled to look similar to Jade's own gown, her daughter looks nine-going-on-nineteen. It feels like only yesterday she was holding a pink and screaming infant on her chest in the delivery room, trying to convince herself that everything was going to be okay. She blinked and Harper grew up before her eyes, and now she finds herself wishing time would just slow down.

"Alright, alright..." Cat laughs, fanning her hand in front of Jade's face to help the tears stop "Don't wreck your makeup!"

"You look very pretty, Harper Bug." Jade smiles a bit, looking at her daughter "Very grown up."

"Thanks, Mom." Harper grins "But no one is going to look at pretty as you today."

Harper will follow in her mother's footsteps, although not to quite the same extent. English is her best subject, and she'll make a career out of it, but as a high school English teacher turned college professor. When she turns eighteen, she'll ask Beck to adopt her and of course he'll say yes, because she's a legal adult and they won't need Andrew's permission. She'll legally change her last name to Oliver, because it has always felt more natural to her anyways. Her life won't be as glamorous as that of her two younger brothers' but she'll be happy, settling down in Pasadena with her husband and their two daughters. She and Beck will always be close but her strongest relationship will forever be with her mother, who she recognizes and appreciates for loving her unconditionally from the very moment she knew she existed.

"Thank you, baby."

"So?" Cat gives her friend a look of anxious excitement "Are you ready to get married?"

"Yeah." Jade nods, biting her lip as she smiles "I am."

The ceremony takes place on a private beach near the Marina Peninsula just south of Venice Beach. Only twenty guests, their closest friends and family, are present, but the reception will take place in a much bigger banquet hall with close to two hundred more people. Love is definitely something to be celebrated, and Beck and Jade have plenty of people to celebrate with, but the ceremony itself is much more private and intimate.

Beck cries happy tears as Jade's father walks her down the aisle. Jake and Drew stand at his side and although Jake is too young to really understand the concept of a wedding, Drew finally realizes in that moment just how special this wedding is for his mother and step-father.

"You look amazing..." Beck whispers to her as she takes her place beside him "I'm so fucking lucky."

"I'm the lucky one." She assures him, reaching over to take his hand

The ceremony isn't denominational, neither Beck or Jade have ever been very religious, so it doesn't take long for the moment for them to say their vows to arrive. Beck asks if he can go first because he knows Jade has a way with words, her whole career literally rides on her ability to make an audience feel a rollercoaster of emotions, and he's afraid he'll become too emotional if he allows her to go first.

"Jade, when you first came back into my life I had no idea how important of a role you were going to one day be playing in it." Beck begins "And even as we became acquainted again, I never imagined that one day we would be standing here...dedicating ourselves to one another in front of our closest friends and family, and our children. I had never really been one to believe that fate actually had any control over our lives, until it brought you and I back together. The universe has given us a second chance at love. I come today to give you my heart and my hope for our future together. I promise to bring you joy, to be at home with your spirit and to learn to love you, and our family, more each day, through all the days of our lives. My love for you is endless and eternal. I promise to wipe away your tears with laughter and your pain with caring and compassion. Together we will wipe clean the old canvases of our lives, and fill them with new color, harmony and beauty. I give myself to you completely, and I promise to love you always, from this day forward."

"You did great, babe." Jade assures him, knowing he had been a bit nervous about writing his own vows

"Thanks." He smirks "Your turn."

"Beck, I think it's safe to say that our love story is a bit atypical..." Jade says, causing both Beck and their guests to laugh "We were high school sweethearts who grew apart but somehow...grew back together again when we least expected it. I want so badly to be able to explain all the love I have for you. Not the love of butterflies and stomach knots, but more the blurring of self and the entanglement with another soul. Love is a word that is much too soft and used far too often to ever describe the fierce, infinite and blazing passion that I have in my heart for you. You are a million dreams and a million prayers of a little girl come true. You are kind. You are funny. You are intelligent. You are the world's greatest father and step-father. You acknowledge my strengths and accept my faults. You make me want to be a better person every day. I take you as you are now, tomorrow and for eternity to come, to be my husband. Even when the day comes that we're old and gray, I promise to always see you with the same eyes and the same heart that I see you with at this exact moment, that I saw you with when we were sixteen. So today, I vow to honor you and respect you, support you and encourage you. I promise to dream with you, celebrate with you, and walk beside you through whatever life brings. I vow to laugh with you and comfort you during times of joy and times of sorrow. I promise to always pursue you, to fight for you, and love you unconditionally and wholeheartedly for the rest of my life. You are my best friend and I'm the luckiest person on Earth to call you mine."

She's tearing up as she finishes speaking, and just as he had expected...Beck is crying too. They collect themselves a bit as the officiant continues with the ceremony, exchanging their rings with grins so large they feel dumb. Before long they're being pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Oliver and sharing their long-anticipated first kiss as husband and wife.

"You were worth the wait." Jade tells him as they break away, just loud enough that only he can hear

"So were you." He grins "Actually, you were more than worth it."

"You're a cheesy idiot..." Jade chuckles "But I love you."

"I love you too." He smiles, taking her hand "Shall we?"

"Lead the way."

They spend the rest of the night dancing and celebrating with friends and family, still overcome with absolute disbelief that they had somehow managed to find themselves in the place that they are in. Little do Beck and Jade know...this place is always where they were meant to end up. Their lives played out much differently because Beck chose to open the door rather than stay and play poker at Tori's that night, but he and Jade still ended up together. They're married, with three children. Both of them have made big names for themselves in the entertainment industry by doing what they do best, and Beck is starring in projects that Jade has written.

Their lives might not have lead them down the paths they thought that they would, but those paths led them to exactly to the place where they're meant to be.

The end!

Publishing a story's last chapter always feels so bittersweet; I'm proud of myself for finishing but so sad to see the storyline come to an end! This is the longest story I've ever written chapter-wise, and I feel sad saying goodbye to it. Thank you all who have been reading and who have left reviews! I really appreciate all of the support! I'm not sure what's next for me story-wise, but hopefully I'll be interacting with all of you again sometime soon! On behalf of Beck, Jade, Harper, Drew, and Jake, thank you again!
