Lexie had managed to wake up before the morning call. Infact, she hardly got any sleep. Today was her kinda date with El Kabong. She was so afraid of being seen with him. What if Jabberjaw sees and gets jealous? Or what if El Kabong's students see them? It was a weekend after all.

Lexie decided that she has to wear the most casual outfit ever. Something that people won't immediately recognize. She can dye her hair to make her longer unfortunately so she has to stick to her short brown bob cut.

Lexie rummages through her closet until she finds the perfect outfit: A black and white striped tank top with a light blue light coat, a light blue skirt to match, black sneakers and circle sunglasses.

She exits the hotel where she is immediately recognized by Boo Boo, Yogi, and Cindy.

"Whoa, looking good Princess" Boo Boo said.

"You look just like a normal civilian," Yogi said. "What's the occasion?"

"Have you decided to drop your royal status and now want to live a normal life in Jellystone?" Cindy asked.

"Just trying something new, that's all" Lexie said. "I'm meeting up with a friend"

"Is it El Kabong by any chance?" Yogi said. "I saw him yesterday playing a guitar at your window"

Lexie shoots up.

"OK THANKS GUYS I'M RUNNING LATE BYE" Lexie says as she shoves through the three and runs off.

"What's with her? Did she fall for the town hero or something?" Boo Boo said.

"It's the classic Princess falls for the Hero story" Cindy said. "I've seen it a hundred times in the books we read for book club"

Lexie runs through the town, shoving a few people on the way. Not noticing that people can still recognize her.

"Woah, Lexie looks like a regular citizen," Shagg said.

"Is she not a princess anymore?" Yakky said.

Lexie finally makes it to the spot where El Kabong told her to wait, which was a hill by a lake. She sees a white horse with a cowboy hat and a buckle.

"El Kabong?" Lexie said. The horse turns around.

"Heh…. I guess we were both thinking the same thing" El Kabong said. "I dressed up like this so my students don't recognize me"

"Same here," Lexie said. "I've been so used to wearing big dresses. I feel embarrassed wearing this short one"

"You shouldn't be," El Kabong said. "You look great in everything you wear"

Lexie goes red and chuckles. They take a seat on the grass.

"So, what brought you here to Jellystone, your majesty?" EL Kabong said.

"Well, I come from A Faraway Kingdom," Lexie said. "I wanted to speak to your mayor about… some things. I wanted to get to know my allies and the citizens in it's town. I know a lot of monarchs/mayors/presidents. Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Princess Elise, Mayor Dewey, President of Duckburg…. Ok that last one was a lie I haven't met him yet"

"Sounds like being a princess isn't all that easy," El Kabong said.

"We already made the Sonic 06 reference in the first chapter" Lexie said. "But you're right it isn't easy. But I do it for my people because they are all counting on me"

"I've come to love this town and it's people," Lexie said. "Everyone in this town is so nice, even the children. Even you El Kabong"

Silence.

"I said too much," Lexie said. A rose is suddenly pushed in front of her face.

"I feel the same way too," El Kabong said. "There is just something about a princess that captivates me. I fell in love with you the moment your slipper fell off and I caught it."

It was now time for El Kabong to steal a kiss. He kisses Lexie and she falls over and down the hill. El Kabong chuckles as he chases after her.

"No fair! I wasn't ready!" Lexie said. They both chuckled. Then suddenly they hear an explosion from the town.

"What was that?" El Kabong said.

"They're here!" Lexie said before getting up and running.

"Wait, who are they?" El Kabong said, chasing after her.

In a flash, Lexie and El Kabong were back in their regular outfits. They see the town is on fire and buildings are being destroyed. Mayor Huckleberry runs to Lexie.

"Oh Lexie, it's terrible!" Huck said. "Your army was wiped out by the forces. We need to get out of here!"

"Gather everyone!" Lexie said. Huck runs back into town to get everyone.

Following Lexie's orders, everyone is gathered and are now running to the back of the town to avoid the missiles being fired.

"Daddy, I don't wanna die!" Augie cried while running.

"I don't want to either!" Doggy Daddy cried.

"Don't worry everyone" Lexie said. "The exit is up ahead. We should be out in-"

Suddenly a white light flashes, blinding everyone. The horrible thoughts were starting to fill everyone's head. There was murder, death, destruction, despair….

Lexie falls to her knees, tears filling her eyes.

"Stop it!" Lexie said. "Why are you doing this?"

In her act of sadness and pain, she didn't notice the man approaching her from behind. He raises his weapon, and then.
