Chapter 5:End game part 1

It was cold, so cold.

Stanley could barely keep his eyes open as he sank to the bottom of the freezing lake, he was so sleepy.

His eyelids felt heavy. He would just rest his eyes then swim back up after a little nap.

Splash!

Before his eyes closed, he saw a figure swimming towards him then nothing but darkness.

(Two hours later)

"Stanley...Stanley...wake up."

"That's not working, let me try. WAKE UP ASSHOLE!"

The first thing the dark-haired boy felt was a hard smack to his right cheek!

"Ow!" Stanley shouted as shot up from his bed and covers his now throbbing cheek. He looked around the room and noticed he was in a hospital room, his friends, Jacob, Herman, Dani and Alfred all gathered around his bed.

"Ack! Stanley, thank God your ok." Alfred said as tried to hug Stanley but stopped in place when they all heard a familiar voice

"Let him be,Alfred."

The voice belonged to None other then Cat Greene.

Cat walked into the room and looked expectantly at Stanley.

"Well?" Cat asked.

"Well what?" Stanley replied.

"Aren't you going to thank me for saving your sorry ass?"

"W-wait,you saved me? How did you even know where we were?"

"After you left my house I followed you guys to the town hall just in case you needed a little help then afterwords I was going to go home but noticed you guys chasing after Dani so I decided to follow you all the way to Tegrady farms and its a good thing I did too, otherwise you would have frozen to death at the bottom of the lake."

after she finished talking, she smiled and took Stanley by the hand.

"I'm glad your ok,Stanley."

Before Stanley could answerher, cat got onto his hospital bed and pulled him into a loving embrace.

"Stanley!"

Stanley turned his head and Saw Patty standing in the doorway.

"Patty, it's not what you think." Stanley said.

As soon as cat noticed Patty, she began to shiver and look fearfully at the blond girl.

"Don't let her hurt me,again,Stanley." Cat said as clung to Stanley evan harder.

"Oh give it a rest, Cat. No one is buying your Babe in the woods routine."

Stanley glared at Patty.

"Leave her alone, Patty! You've done enough to her today!"

Stanley's words cut patty like a knife! Twice already today he had sided with cat over his own girlfriend.

"Stanley,your Seriously taking her side?"

Stanley didn't evan answer her, Instead Alfred did.

"Patty, go home. You've caused enough trouble today!"

Now patty was hurting evan worse. First her boyfriend didn't believe her, now her own Twin brother, the only other person she trusted more then anyone else didn't believe her either.

"Alfred..you too?"

Alfred turned away from his sister.

Patty looked at Stanley, hoping for some shred of sympathy from her boyfriend but he only gave her an angry scowl before Turing away from her while comforting cat.

Patty then began to walk out of the hospital room and as she did she noticed Stan Marsh Sr, His wife, Wendy Testaburgur Marsh ran past her and into Stanley's Room.

As she was walking back down to the lobby, she found her friends,Nancy, Claudia,Theodora and Bertha all waiting in the lobby.

"What happened?!" Nancy asked.

"Are the boys ok?" Claudia asked.

"Is Dani still high or has he sobered up?" Bertha asked.

Patty didn't answer her friends questions, instead she just continued to walk to the exit.

Nancy followed her outside.

"Patty, patty, just stop, will you?"

Luckily for Nancy, patty stopped at a busy crosswalk and she was able to catch up to her best friend.

"Patty,what happened up there?"

Patty didn't turn around for a moment and when she finally did she embraced her best friend and began to sob onto her shoulder.

"I'm losing him, Nancy. Whenever he looks at me now, he looks angry and it's not just him, Alfred thinks im a bully now too."

Nancy comforted her friend and while she did, she noticed her boyfriend, Jacob walking out of the hospital, and right beside him was Jessica Malkinson!

"I don't believe it," Nancy said.

"What?" Patty asked as she whipped the last of her tears onto her jacket sleeve.

Nancy pointed out Jacob and Jessica walking out of the hospital together.

"This has to stop. Cat and her goons are taking our men right out from under our noses."

Patty's face then changed from one of sadness to one of determination.

"I have been doing this all wrong, Nancy. For too long iv been trying to solve this problem the good girl way but that has gotten me nowhere. It's time we play this the way Cat has been playing, the dirty way."

{Stanley's hospital room}

"Your grounded," Wendy said.

"But why?" Stanley asked.

"You know why. I almost had a hart attack today when i saw the news story about you and your friends trying taking down a gang of skinheads and for what?! The save Butters?"

"Well you don't know for sure it was me. The new toolshed just looks like me, that's all."

"O really, so a kid who looks exactly like you got into our attic and took my old toolshed costume?" Stan sr asked his son.

"ugh well ya that could happen. I mean if it happened in an old teen titans episode then why couldn't it happen in real life?"

Neither Stan nor wendy looked convinced.

"Can i at least go to the founders day fair tomorrow? Me and the guys and already made plans."

Stan and Wendy looked at each other for a moment then back at their son.

"You can go but your coming with your Father and me.Your cousin james is visiting tomorrow and we promised your aunt leslie that we would show him around town until she gets off work."

stanley sighed, He had wanted to spend some time with his friends and maybe patch things up with patty but it wouldn't be too bad,he loved his cousin james, since neither of them had any siblings, they were more like brothers then cousins

"Ok."

"Good, now come here."

Stanley sighed.

"C'mon mom. Do I really have to do this?"

"Do what your mother says, Buddy." Stan said.

Stanley got off of his hospital bed and was embraced by both his parents.

(Tegridy Farms)

The creature slowly pulled itself out of the lake.

As soon as it's body was completely out of the cold water, it cought its breath and looked up at the night sky. It felt so weak now. Being submerged in the cold water had nearly destroyed it, that was why Mephesto had kept him as well as his other brothers and sisters encased on water so that they would be too weak to harm him but it was strong, stronger then any of its now dead siblings. It would survive.

As the feeling of exhaustion began to leave its body it now became hungry again. It sniffed the night air and the scent of two human females was picked up. It slowly crawled up a hill and saw two adult females getting out of their police car. They would be delicious.

(Below the hill)

Nelly closed the car door before yawning.

"Do we really have to do this now, Leslie? This could have waited till morning." Nelly said before Turing on the flashlight on her phone.

"I know it's inconvenient Nelly but I want to examine the crime scene again. A family of squatters were brutally murdered the other day not that far from here, I just want to see if that has anything to do with Terrence's murder."

Nelly rolled her eyes.

"I still think my theory about Black Bear aggression is correct. I mean your own nephew was nearly killed here earlier today by a black bear and you still haven't thanked me for that by the way."

Leslie turned around and looked skeptically at her partner/Best friend.

" Why would I thank you for my Nephew's safety? " Leslie asked.

"Because it was my daughter who saved him and without me giving birth to her, your nephew would be Bear food."

Now it was Leslie's turn to roll her eyes.

"Your right, Nelly. Your daughter did save Stanley. I'll make sure to thank her at the town fair."

The two then heard a twig break. Nelly shined her flashlight towards the area where they heard the sound and to their horror saw an enormous Black bear charging towards them!

(Broflofsky Residence)

Kyle's car drove into the driveway. Before getting out Bebe looked into the back seat at her son and Jessica Malkinson.

"Jessica, are you sure you don't want us to drop you off at your house?" Bebe asked.

"No thanks, Mrs. Broflofsky. I don't live that far from here besides I could use the exercise." Jessica replied.

"In that case, Jacob should walk you home. Shouldn't you son?" Kyle said.

Jacob shrugged then got out of the car with Jessica.

As the two kids were walking down the street, Jacob noticed Jessica looking up at the stares.

"Beautiful night, isn't it Jacob?" Jessica said without taking her eyes away from the night sky.

Jacob looked up and noticed the way Jessica was looking up at, the constellation Scorpio.

"Wow, I didn't know you could see Scorpio in winter," Jacob said.

"Usually you can't but astronomers say this is a once-in-a-lifetime rarity."

Jacob then looked back at Jessica.

"I didn't know you were into astronomy."

Jessica shrugged.

" I dabble in it. you're a fan of astronomy too?"

"Oh ya, every night I-Ow!"

Jacob turned his head and saw Jessica's hand firmly clasping onto his right buttock.

"Jessica let go!" Jacob said

Jessica reluctantly did so then giggled.

"Geez, Jacob, overreact much?"

"Overreact?! You grabbed my ass!"

"Jacob, you can't have an ass that perfect and not expect a girl not to want to take a peek at it."

Jacob blushed. Now Jessica was acting like his mom whenever his dad wore bike shorts.

"Jacob, are you blushing?"

Now Jacob's face got even redder.

"No, it's just cold tonight, that's all."

"It's not that cold."

"Well whatever, you shouldn't be touching my ass!"

"Oh please, don't act all holier than thou on me, Jacob. You loved it and you know why because you secretly want a bad girl like me in your life. Deep down I know you're probably sick of being stuck with Sally soap water or whatever her name is."

"Her name is Nancy."

"Whatever, thanks for escorting me home, Jacob. You're a real gentleman...i like that in my prey."

" Excuse me? What are you talking about?"

"I'm not gonna lie, Jacob, I'm a girl who takes what she wants and I want you. One way or another you'll end up my man whether you like it or not."

Now Jacob got mad.

"Leave me alone, Jessica. I already have a girlfriend and unlike you, she's not a freak!"

Jacob immediately regretted his words and tried to apologize.

"Jessica, I'm so sorry, i didn't mean to"

"You're a sexist jerk, Jacob! Whenever a man shows interest in a woman and makes it known that he wants to be with her, that's seen as normal but when a woman shows interest in a man that must make her a freak or some man-hungry slut, is that what you're saying, Jacob?! "

" Wha-No, of course not. Jessica I'm sorry for what I said,i honestly didn't mean it."

"Apology not accepted, Good night!"

Jessica then slammed the door in Jacob's face!

"Rats." Jacob said before slowly walking home.

(Marsh Residence)

Stanley was getting ready for bed and noticed his Dad walking by.

"Ugh Dad, can we talk?"

Stan walked into his son's bed room and was about to sit next to his son but then Stanley said.

"Could you close the door? I don't want mom to be snooping."

Stan Sr closed the door then sat next to his son.

"Everything ok, Buddy?" Stan Sr asked.

"Dad...when you were with mom, Did you ever...well feel like she wasn't the person you like liked anymore?"

Stan sighed.

"People change Buddy, that's a big part of growing up. Sometimes people change drastically while others change only in minor ways but in one way or other they always change. I didn't like it when your mother became super political but I stayed with her anyway."

" Why?"

" Because I love her. You see, Stanley,if you really love someone then you'll love them no matter what..unless they become a white supremacist, Drug Dealer or one of those Q freaks. Does any of this help? "

"Sort of, it's just, Patty seems to be becoming a bully and I don't think I like that. Earlier today she tried to beat up poor Cat in the park."

"Really, why would she do that?"

"I have no idea. The only reason I can think of is because Cat kissed me when we were on Tv but she didn't mean anything by it. It was just one of her usual pranks, that's all."

Stan then began put everything together and began to worry as he remembered what Wendy had done to any other girl who had tried to get Close to him during their many break ups, Evan his platonic female friends had been scared off by Wendy and now it seemed Patty was doing the same thing with his son.

"Stanley, listen very carefully. If I'm right, you need to keep Cat and patty as far away as possible. If Patty beat up Cat today, she might do something worse tomorrow."

"Why do you think that?"

"Your mom was that way throughout our entire relationship. Even when we were broken up she still scared off any girlfriend or female friend I had. Your grandma and aunt Leslie are the only women your mom will let me be around."

"But what about Mom's Sisters, Auntie Angelica, and Peggy, mom lets you be around them?"

"Only when she's around. I'm not allowed to be in a room with them without your mother being there."

"Y-you think Patty is like that?"

"It's best to be prepared, Buddy. Tomorrow I don't want you to leave cat's side."

"But what about me being grounded and everything?"

"I will make an excuse. Your mom and I will show around your cousin James while you keep the cat safe."

The door to the room opened and Wendy stood in the doorway.

"What are you boys talking about?"

"Nothing." The father and son both said.
