So hiii. I'm writing this story as a kind of birthday gift to my country. So this story will have 2 chapters updated throughout the day. This first chapter is just an introduction to my hetalia OC.

So, let us start with just some basic information about my country, things that don't really focus on the person but instead, the state of the country itself.

Country Information-

The appearance of the country: The main island looks like an alligator.

Country Name:

Jamaica, formally known as the Commonwealth of Jamaica, Yaad, or Jam-down by her citizens and sometimes jokingly called the United Islands of Jamaica since in actuality the country is made up of an archipelago of 36 islands. Most of them are no larger than a football field.

Country Age:

In terms of Independence, as of today, she is 58 years old but she has been around since 800 A. D so in actuality she is 1, 110 years.

National Anthem:

The anthem is titled 'Jamaica Land We Love.' It is basically a prayer to God asking for protection and guidance from Him. It, like the design of our flag, was chosen by a national competition which was held a few months before the country declared it's independence.

Capital: Kingston

Largest City: Kingston

Demonym: Jamaican

Government: Constitutional Monarchy and Unitary Parliamentary.

Flag:

A gold X with green at the top and black at the sides. It is currently the only national flag that does not contain the colours of red, white or blue, this is a fact that she is actually very proud of. The gold represents the wealth of the country and the golden sunshine, the green represents the lush vegetation and hope and the black represents the strength and creativity of the people which has allowed them to overcome difficulties.

Bosses:

Monarch: Queen Elizabeth II

Governor General: Sir Patrick Allen

Prime Minister: The Honourable Andrew Holness (he has been the Prime Minister for the last 4 years and is also the youngest Prime Minister to be reelected)

Religion:

Christianity, specifically Protestant. Fun fact, we are very religious. having the most churches per square mile in the world. Honestly you can find like 5 churches on one street.

Gained Independence from Britain on August 6, 1962.

Human Information-

Huma Name: Gabrielle Gordon-Sharpe

Age: 17

Birthday: August 6

Current Residence:

Her main residence is in a townhouse in Kingston near to her boss' office because of work. She also has a plantation in St. Ann where she does a bit of farming and sometimes helps to house her citizens there in times of disaster.

Languages Spoken:

I have a headcanon where the nations can understand each other once they have relations with that country so... I mean, there is the language that the nations have for themselves so, yeah. It's also that the stronger the relations, the more fluent they are so mainly because of the Caribbean she would be fluent in English(of course), Dutch, French and Spanish. Portugese because of close relations with Brazil and the you have the main trading par. Iceland is a main one for exports so you have Icelandic and Norway is another major one for exports so you also have Norwegian. She is also very close with the EU so she would be able to understand quite a few of the European languages but not fully fluent in them. She would be fluent in Russian too because of the very good relationship they've had.

Likes:

Running, sports, hanging out with friends and family, helping people, smoking weed, tea, drinking rum, pepper, and seasoning, (can actually stand British food once it's pastries and not cooked by England) and cooking, Brazil.

Dislikes:

Being bossed around, J P S(the power service in the country, literally nobody likes them especially with the impossibly high electricity bills), practicing magic, dry food, tasteless food and people who skip lines even though she does that quite often herself along with anywhere that is colder than 13 degrees Celsius.

Hobbies:

Gardening, writing, playing and listening to music and doing magic.

Quirks:

She is the only one who can hear the narrator and as such, everyone puts her in the same boat as England. She also has the ghost of her first boss from England, the famous pirate captain Henry Morgan, following her around ever since the Port Royal earthquake when his body was lost. She, just like the other magical nations, have magical friends following her around but hers are mostly ghosts.

Fears:

Natural disasters. Even though they are quite common, she still fears the damage, loss of life and pain that it will bring. She also fears getting to a state where she has to be depending on another country too much as she is a very independent person.

Weapons;

Normally carries around a cutlass or a machete and in terms of firearms prefers to use a sub machine gun or a small handgun depending on the situation.

Personality:

Swears like a sailor, lively, very cheerful and friendly (to the point where it can come off as insincere), inquisitive about any and everything, can be very aggressive when provoked but is normally a very peaceful and calm person who prefers to stay out of fights unless it is friendly or concerns her and the rest of the Caribbean.

Flaws:

Very judgemental but is trying to work on that.

Height: 5' 3"

Weight: 110lbs

Body type:

Lithe and athletic. Has an average sized C cup but has big butt.

Hair colour: Light Brown

Eye Colour: Medium Brown

Skin tone: Medium Brown

Face:

Round cheeks with high cheek bones, full brown and pink lips,a wide nose with a slightly upturned tip and wide eyes. has a very flat forehead, reminiscent of her indigenous people, the Tainos, who had a practice of flattening the foreheads of babies.

Hair Style:

Normally worn down or in a ponytail. Oftentimes will also be in either dreadlocks or braids.

Outfits:

Always has on a braided bracelet with the colours of her flag and a pair of black, half framed glasses which represent Kingston and the tendency of the Jamaican people to only look at the short term effects and fail to ignore what will happen in the long run. Very short sighted if I may say. Also normally wears a pair of short white gloves.

Casual Outfit:

Sky blue cotton shirt, black Jean's shorts that are very short and black sponge slippers.

Outfit for Meetings and important events:

A yellow dress shirt underneath a light green tunic and black sandals with a small heel.

Sleepwear:

A black oversized t shirt and white leggings.

Formal outfit:

Her national dress, the bandana, in the form of a strapless dress with a white top half and the bandana pattern on the bottom half, black heels and a piece of the bandana cloth tied around her head.

Military Outfit:

Full camouflage, back, steel tipped combat boots and will normally be seen wearing either a black beret or a green sun hat. For military ceremonies, she will wear a top similar to the British guards with a black pencil skirt, stockings and low heels. For both military outfits she will have her hair in a bone.

Scars:

Has many from natural disasters over the years but there are two main ones. The first is a wide scar that runs along the length of her back. This is from the 1692 Port Royal earthquake where a falling beam fell on her. She also has a long burn scar on her right thigh which is from the 1907 earthquake which destroyed the entire capital. She also walks with a slight limp which gets worse when anything happens to the capital city, again from 1907. The scars are there to represent the hardships that she and her people have gone through and that they have survived them. Also has many scars on her hands representing slavery, the fight for independence which the country played a major role in and the many battles that came after for right. It is the main reason as to why she wears gloves.

Other: Has small freckles on her knuckles and on her neck along with her back because she is in the sun a lot.

Crush: Brazil

Good Relations:

Has good relations with most of the nations of the world barring a few Asian and African countries. Of note is that she is very good friends with Russia, has been since 1972 and is also very good friends with Iceland as he is one of the main countries that she exports to.

Bad Relations:

Has a strained relationship with Grenada because of her helping the U S invade the island in 1983. She is also rivals with Trinidad and Tobago in almost everything.

Siblings:

She is the second youngest sibling of the Greater Antillean countries i. e Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. I did this because they were all settled by the same indigenous people also known as the Arawaks.

Mother:

Arawak. Just consider her Native Caribbean.

Former Caretakers:

England and Spain. She retains a very good relationship with both of them and look up to them as parental figures.

America and Canada think of her as their little sister and they help each other in any way they can. She also remembers Canada.

As a part of CARICOM, she tries to help other nations as much as possible even if it is Trinidad, though she will be less eager to help him when it's not something too important. She is always ready to give a helping hand and seeks to unify the Caribbean.

Fun fact: She was once one of the most renowned pirates of the new world after Spain and England. The city that sunk was actually once known as the wickedest place on Earth.

Well, that is the first chapter. I hope you like it and as always, constructive criticism is welcomed with open arms. I will be updating my other story soon but I just wanted to get this out of the way since today is Jamaica's birthday.
