The Shinsengumi
Gazing up at the beautiful blue sky, I wonder when the time will be when I won't be able to see to that distance. Sighing, I close my eyes before jumping off the tree branch I was sitting on. Looking around, I continue my search as it's been more than a year since their disappearance. My opened eyes look sadly to the ground as I miss them. Sighing, I continue my search as I head to the last place that they can be. Edo.
Looking around, I find people passing by not giving me even a glance as I blend in easily. My white kimono with a beautiful red design should be able to catch people's attention, but since it's being cover by my brown robe, they don't notice. The same goes along with my swords and my mask. As everything of me was hidden, worry just continues to fill me by every minute. Night was coming soon, and I need to find a place to stay soon so I can continue my search tomorrow. Exhaling loudly, I look around for an inn not noticing myself acudentally bumping into someone.
"Sorry." I apologize quickly before walking off.
But the person I bumped into didn't allow me. Looking back to them, I frown finding drunk men there. This has to be the worst timing ever.
"Hey now. That's not how you apologize. Now get down on the floor and fully apologize!" He demands swaying side to side as his drunk friends were laughing.
People just walk past the night is finally here. Clicking my tongue, I pull my hood down to cover my face more.
"I'm sorry. But I'm in a hurry. And it's not like you're hurt. If you are, then you must truly be weak." I reply before regretting what I said.
"What did you say?!" He shouts getting me to sigh for my stupid decision to back talk.
"I'm sorry. Now please excuse me." I apologize once again wanting to leave here as soon as possible as I'll never bow to someone as lowly as him.
"Hey!" He grabs my wrist getting me to slap it away.
Seeing his anger with his friends, I know this won't end so peacefully. Not wanting to fight right now or here, I run. It's not in my nature to run from a fight. But right now I don't have time. As they follow me to beat me up, I head towards an alley just running randomly not knowing the map around here. Looking around, I hide behind a few boxes. Hearing the drunken men look around shouting orders to find me, I keep quiet.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a loud scream fills the air as the smell of blood enters my nose. Frowning, I get my mask to cover my mouth and nose from the smell. More screams were appearing along with wicked laughs. Memories flash in my mind as I then cover my ears from hearing this.
My breathing slowly becomes unnormal as I can't take the images out of my head. Closing my eyes hoping it will help, it does getting me to open them again to look down to a pair of feet in front of me. Looking up, my eyes widen from the man standing there. His eyes were glowing red as his hair was all white. He wore a blue jacket as his skin was too pale.
What the..?!
As it smiles down wickedly at me, my hands go over to my sword ready to defend myself. But before I could do that, the abnormal man screams in pain with a sword being stabbed in his heart. Falling down, I find my vision having another man there.
Long indigo hair that's hides the right side if his face as it's tied loosely in a ponytail to the side. His ocean blue eyes stare coldly at me.
"Ah. Once again you're as fast as always." A voice sighs also getting into my vision to find another man.
He had reddish brown hair that was placed into a top knot and charming sadistic emerald eyes.
"Oh. What's this? Is the same thing happening again? But this time with a real boy?" He asks as I can see the glint in his eyes.

"We should take him back to the headquarters then." The dark indigo hair man states.
"Or just kill him now to save trouble." The reddish brown hair man suggests.
What is wrong with him? What kind of person will kill someone without reason?
"Shut it Souji. We're bringing him with us." Another voice joins making me realize the man at the side.
He has long black hair that's tied into a ponytail at the back as his narrow dark purple eyes look straight down at me.
"Aw. But wouldn't it be for fun to just kill him?" The man I believe name, Souji, pouts.
"It's not for you to decide." The black hair man replies before walking away, "Let's go."
My heart beats in a fast pace as I want to just run off, but seeing this, my curiousity takes over me. As I allow them to take me away, I have already begun making a plan for me to escape.

My hands stick together tightly as a rope was tied around my wrists. The pain was bearable as I just sit there still with my cloak on and everything. I sit silently in front of a small group of men who also silently look back at me. After I was brought to here, I was kept in a room for a while with a patrol before being here. Judging by the coats that the three men I met before were wearing, I could already guess where I am. The Shinsengumi Headquarters.
"So... How shall we start this? I'm Kondou Isami. The Commander of the Shinsengumi." The man with spiked back bangs and a topknot light brown hair matching his light brown eyes say.
Wondering why he introduced himself despite them going to kill me, I just keep quiet.
"Kondou-san. You don't need to introduce yourself to someone we're going to kill." The reddish brown hair man states.
Before the Commander could talk, I interrupt quickly wanting to get this over with easily.
"If you're going to kill me, hurry up." I demand as I have finally talked.
"Well, aren't you willing to die so soon." A man with auburn hair and dark auburn eyes state.
It just means that I can escape sooner.
"Wait a moment. First, let's talk about the situation that happened." Kondou immediately states before looking over to the dark indigo hair man, "Saito."
The calm man closes his eyes before answering, "We were our killing a few rogues and he just stumbled to be there."
"Doesn't this sound quite familiar?" A man with a green bandana around his brown hair and blue eyes ask.
"Yes, but this time it's a guy." The reddish brown hair boy points out.
"So what should we do?" A boy looking around my age asks.
He has long brown hair tied into a ponytail too and blue-green eyes.
"Just kill him. He wants it too." The reddish brown hair boy shrugs.
"Souji!" Kondou frowns strictly, "We can't kill him without reason!"
"Just joking." The reddish brown hair boy reassures sarcastically.
"Anyways, for now," Kondou looks towards me, "we'll be discussing what to do with you. Saito, please bring him to the room."
The silent dark indigo hair man nods before standing up. Heading towards me, he takes the rope restraining me before pulling me along. Exiting the room, I find myself heading back to the room I once was at before. Being thrown back in there, the door closes as I'm silently in here. Closing my eyes, I hear his footsteps walking away until I can barley hear it anymore. Opening them again, I stand up before loosening my ropes easily. Smirking, I find them not that smart as they didn't even check under my cloak. Exiting the room, I look around before heading down the halls. Remembering the path to the exit, I let my guard down as I thought I had victory. But I didn't.
"Eh?" I hear a voice behind me getting to look back to Kondou.
And behind him were the other men. Just great. This was the perfect opportunity.
"How dare you try to escape." The black hair man frowns before taking out his sword, "Kondou-san, we can't let him live after him trying to escape!"
"True...but..." Kondou-san tries to resist but it was already too late as the reddish brown hair boy has already attacked.
Seeing so many openings from his attack, I take out my sword but I still kept it in its sheath as I block the man's attack with ease.
"You ain't that strong to be honest." I state only angering him as his attacks are now more vicious.
Dodging his attack with a flip above him, I place my harmless sword to his neck as the other men also take their weapons out ready to attack.
As the black hair man comes dashing towards us, I was about to block it before a familiar voice interrupts.
"Tomoki?!"
