Third Person POV
She ran. That was the only thing she could do, so she ran. She was very exhausted, and the thoughts of giving up and death constantly circled her head. It would be easier right? It would be painful but quick right? Somehow, however, her instinct to live pulled through, so she ran. Hundreds of monsters chased her. Why did she have to be that smelly? She took dozens of baths, but nothing worked.
A grunt pulled her attention. She twisted to look, still running. Damn it. The minotaur just wouldn't quit would it? She'd already killed that thing 13 times in a month. Still running like Thanatos was behind her, (which he was, in a way) she summoned the wind and sharpened it, almost like a blade of air. She checked the edge. As sharp as hell. She winced. Gods that was a bad thought. Twisting, she careened to a stop.
The minotaur roared, apparently excited that she was stopping. She smirked, despite the amount of pain she was in.
"You're going down. And this time, stay there!!!" She yelled. When the monster was about, 2 feet away, she made a neat, slicing motion with her hand. The blade of wind smashed into the Minotaur, cutting it in half. It disentigrated in a shower of golden dust.
She turned and ran, hearing the stampede of monsters that were following her.
"Have to..get there..." She panted. She was too weak to continue, but she did anyway. She couldn't die, even if she wanted to. That blade took more out of her than she thought it would.
A pinprick of hope entered her being as she spotted the camp. She ran faster, willing her tired and injured legs to continue. Something smashed into her back, causing her to crumple and fall. A groan of pain escaped her lips as the last thing she saw was a blonde, handsome guy with electric blue eyes standing in front of her in shock.
"Please...Help..." She whispered, before succumbing to darkness.
Percy POV
It was a month after defeating Gaia. Gods, I never wanted another quest. I was sitting by the lake with Wise Girl next to me.
"Its perfect isn't it?" I asked her, smiling softly at the setting sun.
"Yes..It would be more perfect if.." Annabeth stopped, a silent tear running down her face.
"Leo was here, yeah I know. I should have done something, I should have been there, I should have" Annabeth stopped me with a kiss
"Seaweed Brain, he chose to do this. The only thing we can do now is search for him as hard as we can"
I sighed. Wise Girl always knew how to cheer me up and lift the mood. I was about to lie down on her lap when someone shouted.
"PERCY!!!!" Jason. I scrambled up and dashed towards his voice. Gods what if something bad happened? What if a monster got passed the barrier? What if...
I screeched to a halt, gasping. Annabeth stopped behind me and let out a little shriek. A girl, around my age, was sprawled on the ground. Her clothes were in tatters. Blood covered her entire body, and her hair was sticky with blood. She was almost bone thin, but I could see the muscle.
"Gods...what happened to her?" Annabeth asked.
"I don't know. I was walking and then heard a crash. I ran here and saw her." Jason rambled.
"Get Will and the others" I said. Her state, what had she been through?
Jason nodded, and sprinted towards the Apollo Cabin.
"Do you think she's a demigod?" I asked Annabeth. She scoffed.
"Of course Seaweed Brain. She must have heard about Camp and rushed here."
She knelt down, and pulled the girl onto her lap. Many of her wounds were serious, and blood was still flowing from them.
I heard a distant roar, and looked towards the sound. Oh gods...
"Ugh..Annabeth?"
"Yeah Seaweed Brain?"
"You might want to look up"
She looked up, and paled a lot. And by a lot, I mean A LOT. At least an army of monsters were rushing towards Camp. Dracaena, hell hounds, you name it.
"CAMP HALF-BLOOD!!! MONSTER ALERT!!!" I screamed. Had this girl been running from all these monsters? Or did she lead them here?
The horn sounded. All the campers rushed to the edge on Camp, armed.
"Fish face...where are the...?" Thalia started. Oh right I forgot to mention. Thalia and there hunters were at camp for a few days.
Thalia stopped mid-way. Everyone gasped at the hurricane of monsters approaching, slowly but steadily.
"How did they get here? And why so much?" Piper asked. I pointed to the unconscious girl.
"After she fainted, a few minutes later I saw those. She must be extremely powerful to have attracted so many" I said.
Everyone gasped at the depressing state of the girl. Will marched forward.
"I'll take her and do my best" he said. He had to do his best. The girl was at the brink of death.
As soon as Will touched the girl, she let out a scream. It was the most horrifying, painful scream I had ever heard. It held more pain than Annabeth's screams at night because of Tartarus.
Everyone winced and stepped back. I scrambled back, pulling Annie with me
"What happened?" Nico shouted over her scream. It was barely heard.
He got his answer. I looked around. The sky darkened and rumbled. Thunder and lightning shook the sky. Lightning struck anywhere and everywhere. The winds churned and roiled.
"SPARKY!!! ARE YOU DOING THIS???" I shouted.
"NO!!! THIS IS MUCH TOO POWERFUL FOR ME!!!" Jason screamed. Great then...was it Zeus? Could be..
"PERCY!!!LOOK!!!" Annabeth pointed at the lake. I gasped. The lake had risen, and was churning. It flooded the surrounded area, thankfully not Camp. It was like a storm. The girl's scream rose in pitch, and she started thrashing. The ground shook. I stumbled. An earth quake. It was the strongest earth quake I had ever faced. Everyone stumbled and fell to the ground, unable to keep balance. Rocks started jutting out, and Nico scrambled back, narrowly avoiding getting pierced by rock.
"EVERYONE!!!! BACK TO CAMP!!! NOW!!!" I screamed.
Will crawled towards me, and pointed at the girl and then to the monsters.
"What about???" He shouted over the wind and her scream.
"I'll take care of it!!!" I shouted back. Were the gods mad?
Just then, a burst of lightning erupted in fire. The fire burnt everything in its path, which just happened to be the monsters. Only the cyclopes were left, everything else burnt.
At least something good came out of this.
The seven...sorry...six and Nico stayed back.
"HOW DO WE STOP THIS!!!! THIS IS A DISASTER!!" Hazel shouted, trying to dodge rocks while staying upright.
Jason POV
This turned from bad to worse to calamity in a few seconds. Percy was trying to figure out what to do. I tried controlling the wind, but something much more powerful was controlling it.
The poor girl was still thrashing and screaming, tormented by something far worse than what we had been through. At least, I think.
A flash of bright light blinded all of us. I opened my eyes and gaped at Poseidon, god of the sea. We immediately knelt, well, except Percy
"DAD!!! WHATS HAPPENING?" Percy shouted over the scream.
Poseidon looked down at the girl, sadness filled in his eyes. Is she...his daughter? I'm so confused
"Percy, my boy. She's causing this. She's been through as much as you, if not more. Only Annabeth and you can wake her up. That's the only way to stop all this"
She's been through as much as Percy? I don't think so. Tartarus is pretty hard to beat.
Poseidon turned his eyes towards me. I stiffened. Crap, he obviously knew what I was thinking.
"Jason, don't be so hard on her. She's been through Tartarus, three times." He said softly.
Everyone gasped. How is she still sane and alive? Percy and Annabeth and Nico made it out, barely.
Poseidon vanished, leaving us gaping.
Percy and Annabeth exchanged glances, and knelt down near the girl. Percy gently shook her shoulder, while Annabeth started whispering something. I only heard,
"Safe...don't... Wake...nightmare..."
They took turns shaking her and whispering. Slowly, the girl stopped writhing, and her scream slowly became a moan.
"Its working!!!!!" Hazel exclaimed. I looked around. It was working. The ground stopped shaking, and the fire vanished. The lake recedded, and the storm cleared up.
Piper ran up to me and threw her arms around me.
"They did it Sparky"
"Yeah...they did"
Amy POV
Nightmares. Nightmares of Tartarus, of darkness. I was falling down, and I fell in the River of sorrow. I couldn't remember the name. Whispers of giving up. I wanted to. But my boyfriend...I had to save him. The nightmare then whirled to my boyfriend stabbing me. The pain. Why did he? Why? What did I do? I was saving him...and did he have to betray me? I screamed, tears flooding down my face.
Someone was shaking my shoulder. Monsters!!! They were back!!! They were going to kill me!!! I thrashed more. Someone was whispering. A girl
"You're at Camp Half blood. You're safe. Don't worry. You're having a nightmare. Wake up"
I...was at Camp? Then I remembered fainting in front of that blonde dude. I then heard thunder, water and fire. Crap. I let my emotions get the better of me. I willed my nightmare to get over. Gods, I didn't want to sleep ever again. My eyes snapped open and I sat up, hitting something.
"Oww!!! You hit hard!!!" A male voice said.
I slowly took in the sight. Oops. My powers went out of control...again. A tall, handsome guy was kneeling next to me. He had raven-black windswept hair and sea-green eyes. Was he...a son of Poseidon?
I turned to my left, and saw a pretty blonde girl, with intelligent gray eyes. Athena's daughter.
I got up, and walked away from them. They looked confused and, for the most part, concerned.
"Hey wait!! Where are you going?" The electric-blue eyed guy asked. A son of Zeus.
"I..can't stay here. You'll only get in..." I paused. Crap. The cyclopes were closing in.
The 8 demigods stood up, and took out their weapons, standing at the ready. They really didn't have to. I am still there. I waved my arm at them.
"Don't bother. I can finish this." I said.
The soft, brown haired girl with kaleidoscope eyes looked very concerned. Child of Aphrodite.
"You can't take down all of them!!" She exclaimed.
"Piper's right!!! You're already very injured!!!" The bushy haired, golden eyed girl told. Her aura was...magical. But she also had a sort of...underworld sense. She must be a Hades child, but with the blessing of Hecate.
"No.. I can deal with them. Watch" I said. Same thing that I did with that stupid Minotaur, only bigger.
I closed my eyes in concentration. The wind swirled around me, and I sharpened it, making it a blade. I could hear the Zeus kid gasp. I smiled. He could sense what I was doing.
I touched it. Much more sharp than before. Awesome.
The cyclopes closed in. The demigods stiffened, but did not attack. The Poseidon kid however, was impatient. Or worried. Yeah that was it. He was worried.
My eyes snapped open. I whirled, and made a strong slicing motion with my arm. The blade of wind chopped the Cyclopes into half. With a final scream, they disentigrated.
I stumbled forward, dizzy with fatigue. The Poseidon kid caught me before I could fall.
"Gods...how did you do that??!" The Zeus kid asked. Ok... I definitely needed to know their names. I couldn't keep thinking about them like so and so god's kid blah blah.
"You can do it to.." I said, trying to steady myself.
"What's your name...ugh?" The goth boy asked. Definitely a son of Hades.
"Amy" I finished.
"Come on...Let's get you to the Infirmary" the Poseidon kid said. I shrugged. I could have healed myself, but I was too weak to use that amount of power.
"Yeah thanks.." I mumbled, fighting the exhaustion.
Piper POV
Poor Amy. She looked just terrible. Percy and Annabeth were carrying her by the shoulder. Her Aura..gods it was so powerful I could feel it a mile away from her. I was sure the others could feel it too.
"Jason...do you think she'll be OK?" I asked him. I was so scared for her, she just looked so broken
"I don't know Pipes. I hope so" He said. He looked worried to.
"I also want to know how she did that." He continued.
"Did what?" I know Amy did something to the Cyclopes, but Jason seemed to know more than I did.
"She made the wind into a long, sharp blade" he said, a hint of awe in his voice. Wow!! She did that? Amy was seriously powerful.
"That's...wow" I said. Jason nodded.
"You wanna go check on her?" He asked. I nodded. She could use the company. Jason and I walked hand in hand towards the Infirmary. We looked inside and everyone were just staring at Amy. She looked a little uncomfortable with all the attention.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"She... " Will was stammering, so I turned to Percy, who was also staring with his mouth open.
"Perce?? What's wrong??" Jason asked.
"Will stitched the biggest wound, and then she... Healed herself completely" He said.
I stared like an idiot at Amy. She cleared her throat.
"Umm.. If you don't mind... Could I have some new clothes? I... Don't have a spare" She muttered.
Annabeth shook herself out of shock and nodded.
"Of course... Boys.. Outside! Now!" She said.
The guys blinked, and walked out. Annabeth went into her cabin to get some clothes. I sat near her.
"Hello.. I'm Piper" I said, smiling gently. She gave a small smile back.
"Amy. Though you already know. Nice camp."
My smile grew wider. She had Percy's character. Sweet.
"Thanks. Are you a...?" I wasn't sure if she knew what was happening. But by what she did back there, she probably did.
"A demigod? Yeah. Was pretty obvious to be honest."
"Oh yes. Usually we get... Campers that don't know much about the Greek and Roman demigod stuff"
She laughed a... Bitter laugh. Weird.
"I'm not your usual camper"
Annabeth came back with an old off white tee and some jeans.
"Sorry, I'm not sure if they would fit you" She said.
"Oh don't worry. They'll fit me"
Hazel, all the while silent, raised an eye brow.
"Those are too big for you"
Amy smirked. She took the clothes, and changed into them. They were big. How would they...? Oh.
The clothes shrunk, and fit her perfectly in a matter of seconds.
"Not now they're not" She said.
I felt my jaw hanging open, and I was sure it was for the others too.
"How did you..?" Annabeth asked. She shrugged.
"I need to go now" She said.
"Go... Where?" Hazel asked.
Her sea-blue eyes darkened.. Wait.. She had eyes similar to Percy. Except where Percy's eyes were sea-green, hers were sea-blue. Come to think of it, she was as beautiful and pretty as an Aphrodite child. Maybe a bit more. Ok fine I admit it, she was much more pretty than your average Aphrodite kid. She had pretty features, sea-blue eyes, long, soft black hair. She was as tall as Percy.
Amy walked out of the Infirmary. I followed her, and so did Annabeth and Hazel. The guys immediately surrounded her.
"Are you ok?" Percy asked, still looking concerned.
"Yeah I'm fine. I need to leave though" Amy said.
"No you can't. This is Camp Half-Blood. You'll be safe here" Jason said.
She shook her head.
"There is no place in the universe that is safe for me. The sooner you guys realise it.. The sooner you will be safe" She said, not a hint of emotion in her voice.
Frank and Percy blocked her path. She raised an eye brow.
"Listen Amy... I know it's hard for you to trust us.. But seriously, it'll be safer here"
"No it will not. You saw what I did didn't you? When I was unconscious. That's not even the worst. So you'll be better off without me" Amy spoke.
"Why do you want us to hate you?" Percy asked, looking really hurt and concerned at the same time.
"Let's see.. One, you don't know me... Two, I literally know only Piper's name because she told me... Three, I bring destruction wherever I go, so your Camp is in danger. Four, the only way you can get out of danger is if I leave now" Amy snapped.
Gods, either that girl is over reacting, which seems unlikely considering what she did back there, or she has been betrayed more than us. That's saying something.
Percy chuckled.
"Fine. I'm Percy Jackson, That's Jason, Nico, Thalia, Annabeth, Frank, and Hazel"
"Amy... No last name... Just Amy" She said.
"Look.. Amy.. You know what it is like to have friends right..? So.. " Percy started.
"No... I've never had friends" Amy whispered. She was at the brink of tears. She never had friends? Even I've had friends... She doesn't?
"Let us be your first group of friends then" I said. She needed friends. Annabeth and Hazel showed me what true friendship was like, so I was going to do the same.
"I... I don't want you all to get hurt because of me... " She whispered. Just like Percy.
"We won't... Percy and Annabeth are the best. And apparently, you're pretty strong. " Frank said.
Amy nodded, and the smallest hint of a smile danced on her lips.
"Ok... But I have to tell you all something I... " She started.
A blinding flash of light burst out from Amy. I shielded my eyes. It was much stronger than what she did before.
Chiron trotted up to us... His eyes wide and for the first time I saw, his jaw hanging open.
The campers gathered around Amy, some gasping and some almost shrieking.
I looked at Amy. I jumped and backed away. Others did as well.
"All hail Amy!! Daughter of... All the gods???!!!!" Chiron shouted.
