𝗢𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, the residents of the planet earth used to dream about space. For many many years, the human population had fantasized about living in outer space due to the growing hostility among different nations across the globe. The military services throughout the earth were prepared for a war that would be like no other ever witnessed. The scientists were busy making an explosive that would be capable of destroying their enemy and wiping out their entire existence. And the war did come. On 10 May 2052, NUCLEAR APOCALYPSE took place. And just like predicted, the explosives named as nuclear weapons were successful in clearing out entire civilizations. But the war did not end there. Just like previous world wars, this war had consequences as well. Due to excess use of the nuclear weapons, radiation had covered all of the major countries and the countries that were not able to seek help were wiped clean. The earth had finally become a mere piece of land where survival was impossible. Most of the earth population had died in the war and those who survived were able to find refuge in outer space when 12 nations floated through space all alone. Then one day, Mir floated by Shenzhen, and they realized life would be better together. The other stations saw this, and they wanted to be together, too. When all the stations came together to form an alliance and with their combined resources, they were able to develop a spaceship that was named 'ARK' and with that, the left over human population took shelter in the space where the people of the ark worked together to make sure that one day the human population would finally return home where it belonged.

97 year had passed since the day the humans abandoned their home, their planet. The ark was formed with about 400 inhabitants. But as the years went, the population started rising and by 2149, the Ark's original population of about 400 had grown to 2,659. Harsh yet necessary steps were taken in order to ensure the survival of the human race. As the years passed by, the laws became more and more cruel like forcing people to only have one child per couple and punishing each and every crime done after the age of 18 with death. No matter how small the crime was, the punishment was death and death alone. Crimes committed by the minors were to be reviewed when they turned 18 and till that day, the prisoners of the Ark were imprisoned in B-dock where the Delinquents were placed.

For decades, humans survived on the Ark where there was no trace of flora and fauna. The last tree of the earth was taken onto The Ark. It was the symbol of their beliefs, representing life on Earth. Believers cultivated and cared for the tree, donating some of their rationed water in order to keep it alive. The only living creatures present on the Ark were humans. Humans finally found a way to survive. People on the Ark had to choose between cannibalism or starving to death. Those who chose to eat had to watch those who chose not to eat slowly die. After a long struggle of killing their own, the Arkers finally found the way to live on nutritions packets and limited resources.

The Ark was divided into 12 sectors and just like every other civilization, it had its own hierarchy. The outer sectors like Agro station and Arrow station of the Ark were given to the factory workers that included people working for the inner sectors like Earth Monitoring station and Alpha Station. It was almost impossible to move up in the social hierarchy unless one was chosen to train as a guard, and that selection process was very stringent.

The Ark was governed by a Chancellor and his Council. The Chancellor was elected by the people and the council.

Acting-Chancellors were appointed by the official Chancellor as substitutes. Under the Council and Chancellor were the Ark Guard who were the main security and law enforcement force on the 12 stations. The Guard was led by high ranking Guardsmen who resided in Alpha Station and other privileged stations. Council members were specifically chosen by the people to guide the citizens of the Ark back to the ground. The ship was currently under the rule of Chancellor Jaha.

The Ark was intended to sustain survivors for 200 years, after which it was believed that Earth would once again be survivable and the inhabitants could return to the ground. However, less than a century after unification, life support began to fail on the Ark. By 2148, even the best repair estimates had the work taking longer than the system could keep the population alive.

And this was the reason that brings us towards today. The day when The Ark is sending 100 juvenile delinquents on earth to lessen the load on the system and to test the survivability of Earth.

And this is the story of the lives of the 1001 who had no clue of the upcoming dangers disguised in adventures.

The story of survival.
