Chapter 22
WELCOME BACK TRUE BELIEVERS AND LOYAL MARVELITES! IT IS I, ZAYDEN STORMVOID, COMMITTING UTTER BLASPHEMY BY IMITATING THE TRUE ONE ABOVE ALL! I WELCOME YOU ALL TO ANOTHER CHAPTER OF WELCOME TO THE MCU!
In all honesty, I wanted to post this sooner for New Years, because 22nd chapter of this story to commemorate 2022, but I was hold back for reasons, both professional and familial. But anyways, Happy New Year's everybody!
And now onto some sad news. Like many have already known, this story was also on the other fanfic website, Archive of Our Own, until I was forced to removed it from said website after copyright allegations from a complaint, whether by the site itself or by some snitching douche I don't know. But with this unfortunate incident, Welcome to the MCU will now be exclusively on FFN, and its sister series, MHA Watches Death Battle will be an AO3 exclusive.
Last time in the story, we had the group watching the Battle of the Helicarrier, with Jurota and the rest witnessing his counterpart's Other Guy, the Hulk, and his power for the first time, Izuku Rogers and Katsuki Stark mending fences by working together, much to the appreciation of the audience, especially Midoriya and Bakugou, the sad end to Agent Yamada and the group's reactions, the most heart-breaking of which was Midnight and Eraserhead's, and the Avengers starting to come together and Deku and All Might being inspired by it.
Now we head into the finale of Avengers and the Battle of New York. But first the reviews:
FShield96: Because I felt that I didn't try hard enough and felt slow and lazy for the most part, and it could have been better, but I'm glad that it was still well received. Appreciate the thoughts on the shows and movies of Phase 4. Will likely try Hawkeye and Shang-Chi, the latter mostly, but that's it. I honestly don't mind a black, gay character in the MCU, and I'm pleasantly surprised that they handled it well from what you say, but what does tick me off is when Hollywood does the same tired old shtick and use any character of race, gender, or LGBTQ as a shield from criticism. They did it with Captain Marvel. I also already watched What If, my favorites being Thor's episode, What if Ultron Won and What if the Watcher broke his oath.
Shadow-Proclamation8: When I referenced Cho, I believe I was talking about the comics not the MCU, but I at least hope they do Jen right. They actually changed She-Hulk in the comics back to her original She-Hulk appearance, instead of the monstrosity that she turned into, because of her joining the MCU through her show and they recognize that people liked She-Hulk as she was before. I heard about that thing with Iron Heart too, although I thought it was a series, not a movie, but either way, I'm not sticking around for discount Iron Man, unless it's Pepper who continues being Rescue or Morgan grows up and becomes Iron Woman.
Yarheeguy: Technically, One Punch Man has a similar ranking and commission system for Heroes, and they explore it a bit with their additional Class system, thought not so much as to lose focus of its more comedic nature. Also, the Heroes do have teams like the Lurkers team of Edgeshot, Kamui Woods, and Mount Lady, and Heroes do have Team Ups and joint operations, like Nighteye recruiting Fat Gum, Ryukyu, and others for the Hassaikai raid, though the later was temporary. And yeah I agree that the word 'Hero' has lost meaning in their world but I don't think the Villains winning is the right response, since, in the end, the society that will be brought up will just be All For One world domination. Also I don't think they are trying to save Hero society at this point as much as just simply taking down All For One, stop the Villains, and restore peace.
Black cross0: Honestly, Stars and Stripes does pretty much seem like the appropriate choice, I think about it. My honest thoughts are that I am worried that things are being rushed too fast. Horikoshi said that he didn't want My Hero Academia to be like Naruto or One Piece and just keep on going and going. But then again I believe the reason for this rush is because Horikoshi has been getting sick a lot lately. I'm not saying the man's dying but it is worrying how frequently he is getting ill and maybe he wishes to end it as quickly as possible in case the worst may occur and then we either have the story be given to someone else or never get closure and have Highschool of the Dead, an unfinished, great story, all over again. So I'm worried that the rush can hurt will hurt the story, but I can at least understand why. All I hope is that it still ends on a good, satisfying note.
tacktician: ...*takes out notebook to write that down.*
Villain soul16: Now that it is officially confirmed, I might put something down to hint or tease at it, though it will be as subtle as possible since I still have anime only's on here despite the warnings. Also apology not necessary, I kinda expect for at 10 people to comment about the same thing as a typical.
MadTitan9: I actually liked WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier too, when I watched them. My only gripes were how Wanda got off mostly scot free and how they removed Doctor Strange because, and they admitted even, he was a white male that would admonish Wanda for what she did, and that final 'Do Better' speech that felt a bit much. Haven't seen Loki, but from the clips I saw and from what I heard, I won't argue about Agent Mobius. My thoughts exactly about Taskmaster in Black Widow, and fun fact, the person behind the Taskmaster suit and mask for most of the movie, not just the stunts, was a guy that would have been a good Anthony Masters. Liking Eternals is a bit of an unpopular opinion but you do you, all I will take from this movie is that it made Thanos apparently right. And I might give Hawkeye a try. And a possible Daredevil Season 4 seems even more likely with him in No Way Home.

Now, LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!
Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Third POV
Iron Man flew upwards to the sky and towards the massive blue portal and the dozens of descending Chitauri. The Chitauri descended, their appearances in the sunlight fully displaying their forms. They were mostly hunched but as tall as the average human and their figures slightly humanoid, and that was where the similarities ended. Pale grey skin covered in bone grey and faded gold armor, claws for hands and feet, horrible screeches coming from their ravenous, razor-sharp toothed mouths. They flew, standing, on futuristic gliders and most wielded alien blasters on their arms, which they pointed and fired them at Stark, unleashing blue bolts of energy.
"Jesus Christ!" Kaminari exclaimed, terrified.
The reactions of the group towards the Chitauri were either of horror and terror, general worry, or glared eyes of anger. Eri and Kouta were part of the first, clinging onto Deku at the sight of their growling, razor sharp mouths. Ibara found herself in the second category, clasping her hands in prayer as fear rose up at seeing Bakugou fly out towards the aliens. Bakugou was among the last category, at how he was unable to stop these aliens from crossing over and having to fight all of them by himself, for now.
The inventors of the group narrowed their eyes and inspected the alien technology of the Chitauri.
"Such advance technology." David whispered, rubbing his goatee. "Hover technology, energy blasters, even their armor, despite its fadedness, is impressive."
Stark barrel-rolled from their blasts, firing back with his repulsors as he ascended towards them. He destroyed a few, barrel-rolling out of the field of smoke and debris as he kept firing, stunned and hit back momentarily by Chitauri passing by him. Katsuki's hud showed him highlighting and targeting several bogies, his shoulder plates opening up to reveal and launch several dozen missiles that tracked and exploded onto several of the Chitauri.
"Yeah! Go Bakubro! Blast Their Unmanly Butts To Kingdom Come!" Kirishima cheered.
"He's actually doing good against them." Rin said.
"No, he's not." Snipe interjected. "There's too many of them for him to handle alone. The rest are passing by him towards the city."
Bakugou growled, hating to admit that one of his teacher was right.
While Iron Man fought as many as he could in the sky, more and more escaped and descended onto the city of New York. Civilians got out of their cars, looking up to the descending aliens in fright. A few Chitauri flew down towards them and began to fire. Crowds of citizens clamored and ran in terror and safety from the bolt of energy that destroyed and cleaved through cars, ground, and people alike.
"Oh no." Ochaco whispered, hand over her mouth at the ensuing destruction and death.
The sight of the people in danger and dying caused for many in the audience to clench their fists in anger, most especially All Might and Izuku, both pleading for their counterparts to hurry and help stop this madness.
As civilians, old to young, ran in terror, a blonde waitress helped lead the people around her to safety inside a restaurant. Inside, the waitress looked out in horror at the destruction and war brought by the alien invaders.
"Man, that must be terrifying for them to see alien come down and rain fire on them." Kosei hummed, shivering. "I'm not even there and I'm terrified."
At Stark Tower, Loki walked up the top pathway to overlook the city and his conquest, his golden armor, poison green cape and curved horned helmet magically appearing on him, the Scepter transforming and growing in size and deadliness by its longer spear point.
"Brother." All Might growled, angrily.
Monoma lowered his head once more in shame at his actions, only taking solace in that perhaps he is being brainwashed as much as his victims.
"Loki!" Thor roared, landing on the terrace, his arms fully armored and his red cape re-appeared. Loki looked down in surprise to see his brother alive. "Turn off the Tesseract, or I'll destroy it."
"Can they even destroy it?" Mina asked.
"It's an object of possibly unlimited power." Momo answered. "Even if there was a way to destroy it, I'd imagine that it would take all of New York along with it."
"You can't!" Loki declared, pointing his Scepter Thor. "There is no stopping it. There is only...the war!"
"So be it." Thor declared back.
'I'm putting an end to this madness, brother, and taking you home.' All Might thought. 'Even if I have to break every bone in your body to do so.'
Loki let out a snarling yell, jumping from the upper ground, slamming the Scepter down onto his brother. Thor sidestepped away, swinging his hammer in a backhand, the God of Mischief raising the Scepter and blocking the magical hammer with the long golden handle. Thor stepped back, moving readily to attack and defend. Thor ducked from a horizontal slash from Loki, the warmonger spinning with his weapon till he held it behind him, over his shoulders, firing a bolt of energy which the God of Thunder blocked and deflected away with Mjolnir. Loki swung the Scepter down and upwards in a rising slash while Thor swung Mjolnir in a downward swing. The two godly weapons met, Mjolnir's greater weight pushing the Scpeter down as it blasted another bolt of energy, crashing through and destroying the last two letters of the Stark name, their remains falling to the ground.
"Their fighting styles are very unique and complementary to their skills and weapons." Nezu spoke up. "Thor's fighting style has become for reactionary and careful, striking at the opportune moment, and Loki's fighting style clearly shows both his flair of theatrics and utilizing the momentum of his Scepter."
While unapproving of Loki's actions, Momo asked for Izuku to write down some of Loki's attacks and skills, wishing to see if she can utilize some of it for her own combat training, especially for when she creates her bo staffs. She would ask for Thor's skills with his hammer but she felt she lacked the arm strength to properly copy Thor.
Civilians continued running for their lives, police cars driving up and pulling to a stop. Police officers got out of their cars to look up in horror at the sight before them. Katsuki flew through the sky, being tailed by a couple of Chitauri on their gliders.
The Quinjet flew towards the city and the Stark building with the blue beam raised to the sky. "Stark, we're on your three, headed northwest." Romanoff voiced through the coms.
"And We are Here!" Uraraka exclaimed in her best All Might voice, which drew some chuckles from the group, All Might included. "Right, Deku?"
"Yes, We Are!" Deku replied, his face and voice morphing into a perfect copy of All Might's, which drew shrieks of horror from most of the girls, disconcerted looks from some, and even more laughter. Even Eri playfully gagged at her Papa's impression of her Grandpa Might.
"Took you assholes long enough!" Bakugou yelled angrily, ignoring Deku's All Might face, that has already seen and disgusted by many times before. "Did you guys stop at a fucking drive-through or something?!"
"What? Did you stop for drive-through?" Katsuki retorted, staring at Romanoff's face in the hud.
"Sometimes the way you and your counterpart mimic each other is actually quite freaky, Bakugou." Sero sweatdropped.
"Shut up!" A red-faced Bakugou roared out.
"Swing up Park. I'm gonna lay 'em out for you." Stark said as he flew down faster, several Chitauri chasing after and firing on him while Thor and Loki clashed on the terrace, Thor batting Loki's swings from his Scepter, defensively.
Iron Man flew down and turned left, the tight turn down the corner causing one of the following Chitauri to crash into the building in front.
"Ooh, that one was unlucky." Sen said, cringing at the self-imposed death.
"At least they are taking themselves out. Saves them some of the hassle." Setsuna shrugged.
Romanoff sat in the gunner seat, pressing a few buttons as the bottom of the Quinjet opened to reveal its rail gun. Hawkeye flew the jet towards Grand Central Terminal, Iron Man flew past down the street, Romanoff firing the rail gun and unleashing its bullets right onto the Chitauri chasing Katsuki. Destroying most of them, the Quinjet flew up towards Stark Tower.
"He lured the Chitauri to the Quinjet so that they could be mowed down easily." Ryukyu summarized, nodding her head. "Nice teamwork, even better improvisation."
"Sir, we have more incoming." Jarvis warned.
"Fine." Katsuki replied. "Let's keep them occupied."
"So Bakugou's going to keep as many of those Chitauri flying around focused on him instead of the civilians." Tetsutetsu analyzed. "Manly."
"Yes, quite the heroic action from your counterpart, Bakugou." Iida nodded, pleased. "I hope you take inspiration from yourself, as you seem to do."
"Don't tell me what to do, Glasses!" Bakugou yelled at Iida, despite going to do exactly what Iida said.
The Quinjet rose steadily around Stark Tower, firing on approaching Chitauri, a stray blast scratching the side of their wing. Thor and Loki struggled against the other. Thor swung Mjolnir in a horizontal backswipe, Loki ducked backwards, grabbed Thor by his shoulder and slammed him down onto the glass railing, smashing it.
"They're equally as strong." Hagakure said, worried.
"Although, Thor could still be holding back, otherwise he could have flung Loki across the city by now or used his lightning." Asui croaked out.
Hitoshi and Ochaco stared out the window to see the two clash. "'Chaco?" Hitoshi questioned.
"I see him." Ochaco replied, the Quinjet swerving and straightening towards Loki.
Despite his villainous actions, the members of Class 1-B, and All Might, couldn't help the tense fear at seeing the rail gun aiming towards Monoma's counterpart.
Loki tossed Thor off of him and, as the Quinjet began firing on him, Loki fired back with a blue bolt, blasting and destroying the left wing's propeller engine.
"No!" Setsuna yelled, her worry over Midoriya rising.
Romanoff and Barton braced the impact, the Quinjet swerving unsteadily in the air. Thor got up and rammed onto Loki, hammering onto Loki's body with jab after jab. Izuku grabbed onto the handles atop as the Quinjet began falling to the ground. Izuku hung onto dear life, Hawkeye attempting to steer and glide the falling jet from buildings, the tip of the right wing clipping from a building. They braced for impact as the Quinjet landed roughly and slid down to the ground, stopping by a building.
"Phew, okay, they're okay." Mirio sighed in relief that Midoriya and the others were alright.
Ochaco and Hitoshi got out from their seats, the two and Izuku walking out from the opening hanger.
The two got out and ran through destroyed cars and city blocks. "We got to get back up there!" Rogers ordered, Barton and Romanoff following him.
They arrived in front of Gran Central Terminal before stopping upon the sound of a monstrous noise. They looked up to the blue portal in the, mouths agape. Flying out, along with a few Chitauri was what they, and the audience, could only describe as a monster. The creature was massive, easily the size of a medium sized New York building in length from head to tail of its serpentine body and over few stories tall in width. Bladed armored stuck out of its sides like fins, it upper side covered in armor like an elongated tortoise, with armored spines jutting out down its body, and its head was mostly a massive mouth full of large, sharp fangs. It flew down towards the city, slithering through the sky as if like an eel swimming through the sea.
Shocked slack jaws dropped to the floor and eyes widened with absolute horror at the sight of the monster before them. Eri buried her head again in Izuku's chest and Kouta reached for his hand, Izuku doing his best to comfort them despite his own shock and fear. The rest of his class were not any better. Kaminari and Mineta were shaking like leaves in the wind, Koda looked absolutely horrified, and Sato, Sero, and Aoyama paled drastically. Ojiro sweated in terror, Shoji's and Tokoyami's normally stoic appearances were shattered by their widened eyes, and even Dark Shadow looked scared, hiding more inside Tokoyami. Kirishima shivered in fear, the monstrous creature bring up a fear he hadn't felt since the cloaked giant before U.A., and Tetsutetsu, beside him, wasn't any better. Iida gaped in both horror at the monstrosity and disbelief at its sheer size and how it could be flying. Todoroki was shocked was well, and even Bakugou couldn't stop his eyes from widening.
The other guys held similar reactions. Monoma felt horrified at what he had helped unleash, Jurota wiped his glasses multiple times to check if he wasn't seeing things, and Shinsou started to feel very self-conscious about how effective his counterpart, despite his skills, could do against that. Mirio and Amajiki, despite all their Hero training and horrors they've seen, were still wide-eyed and terrified of the monster from space. Sen, Awase, and Kosei were slack-jawed, Manga's text bubble held triple exclamation marks, Rin, Shoda, and Honenuki were wide-eyed and wide jaws too, and even Kamakiri looked terrified of the creature. "R-Revelry in the Dark." Kuroiro muttered, himself horrified and impressed at the monstrosity that appeared out of the darkness of space.
The girls were the same, too. Ochaco paled horribly in fear at what her counterpart had to face, Setsuna and Ibara following her with their fears focused more on Izuku and Katsuki, and even Yui felt worried for Shinsou, which surprised the normally quiet girl. Momo froze in horror and felt stumped on how a creature that large could a) exist and b) fly through the air like it was water. Melissa and Mei were of a similar mindset, as well as analyzing its armor. Mina, Hagakure, Pony, and Kinoko quivered and shook in terror as it roared and showed its massive teeth and mouth, while Itsuka, Reiko, and Kyouka just sat their dumbfound and horrified, even Asui sat there, eyes as wide as dinner plates, croaking terrified. "Zuzu." Nejire whimpered in worry over Izuku as he would face against such a monster.
The adults were not so different from their students. "T-That thing shouldn't exist. T-there's no way that something like that could exist." Pixie-Bob shook in terror, her brain trying to deny what she was seeing. Mandalay, Tiger, and Ragdoll couldn't blame their teammate, they themselves trying desperately to believe a creature such as that was possible. Mic's glasses went crooked over his shocked face, Midnight, beside him, covering her agape mouth, and Eraserhead's eyes went wide and disbelieving. Fat Gum was so shocked his dropped his half-eaten pretzel to the ground.
"Not sure whether or not I would want to fight that thing." Miruko admitted, a single beat of sweat running down her brow, unsure whether to feel excited over something so monstrous to fight or to think otherwise. Ryukyu and Mount Lady nodded, the two size-changers of the group unsure whether to fight the giant, flying beast. Thirteen was certain that should she ever fight something like that, she wouldn't give a damn and just unleash Black Hole on it. Some of the Heroes were of a similar mind, including Endeavor, wishing to burn the thing to a crisp, Edgeshot, no arguments in his mind to just pierce the creature's mind, if it had one, and instantly kill it, and even All Might, if he still had One For All.
David Shield and Power Loader were left gawking at the alien monster and even Nezu's tail went straight out of instinctual, predatory fear.
"What...the hell...is that?" Rin managed to say after a few pauses.
F.R.I.D.A.Y. responded with a holographic imaging of the large creature. "A Chitauri Leviathan." F.R.I.D.A.Y. answered.
Rogers and the others stared in agape horror as it flew over them, its sides above its pale grey, fleshy underside, yet below its bladed fins, popped out more Chitauri, foot soldiers ejecting out of its armor in bungie cords and landing on the sides of buildings, their claws slowly and stopping their fall. Izuku watched as they ejected out into the buildings through windows, civilians inside running from the Chitauri foot soldiers as they landed and pulled out from their back alien Scepter-like weapons, aiming them onto civilians and firing bolts of blue energy.
"Shit, its depositing foot soldiers." Fat Gum cursed. "And they're attacking the civilians."
"This is bad." Edgeshot said. "They have an army consisting of aviary threats from the Chitauri on their vehicles and this Leviathan creature, and now surface threats of these Chitauri foots soldiers."
"And what's worse is that every second, more and more of this Chitauri are sure to come." Hawks added. "If they have any chance of ending this quickly, they have to find a way to close that portal."
Cap looked around at the invasion and monstrous creature before him. "Stark, are you seeing this?" Rogers asked.
"Seeing. Still working on believing." Stark replied, flying towards the serpentine monster as it flew through New York, its bladed fins smashing through the sides of buildings.
"You and me both, other Bakugou." Mina nodded in agreement.
"Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?" Stark asked.
"Banner?" Rogers questioned, answering Stark's question.
Jurota perked up at the mention of his counterpart.
"Just keep me posted." Katsuki said.
"Bakugou thinks that Jurota is coming to help?" Sen questioned. Quickly, he turned to Jurota and quickly said "Not that you or your counterpart wouldn't, Jurota!"
"I know, it is fine to have doubts." Jurota eased his classmate. "I myself would have doubts to aid given my counterpart's...transformation being more a threat than ally the previous time."
Katsuki flew parallel to the creature a few streets away. "Jarvis, find me a soft spot." Stark ordered.
"Does this thing even Have a weak spot?" Hagakure questioned, gesturing her invisible hands to the large Leviathan, the only indicators of her action being the sleeves of her shirt.
"Well while its body is large and does appear mostly armored, there are gaps and areas of its body that are exposed." Izuku replied. "If they strike from there, they could damage or even kill it. Maybe with Mjolnir or one of Kacchan's many weapons like his lasers."
"But the hide of his body could be just as durable as its armor, if not, slightly less." Melissa argued. "A creature large as this would likely possess a lot of muscle and tough skin if it can also survive that vacuum of space."
"Look at this!" Thor yelled to Loki as they grappled back on the Stark Tower terrace. Loki looked down to see the city engulfed in flames, destruction, and chaos. Loki's face was full of terrified shock and panicked uncertainty. "Look around you! You think this Madness will end with your rule?!"
Monoma and All Might perked up at the sight of Loki's uncertainty and terror plastered in his face, hope rising in the two.
"Its too late." Loki protested, panting rapidly, eyes full of panic and fear. "Its too late to stop it."
"He...he looks so scared." Pony said, saddened.
"No." Thor disagreed, eyes full of hope and certainty. "We can. Together."
'Please, brother, help me stop this madness and redeem yourself!' Toshinori pleaded, hope also in his eyes.
'Please, you idiot, listen to him!' Itsuka also pleaded, clinging to her armrests, desperately.
'Please, listen to our brother!' Monoma yelled in his mind, eyes pleading with his counterpart.
Loki panted, afraid and frowning. Then the frown turned to smile, and afraid eyes turned to blue deviousness.
Shinsou's eyes widened, recognizing that blue hue. "Wait-!" He started to yell.
A second later, Loki stabbed a weirdly-shaped knife onto Thor's side.
"NO!" The students yelled in horror, the most vocal being Izuku, Melissa, Bakugou, and Monoma.
The God of Thunder groaned in sudden pain, Mjolnir falling from his grasp as he fell to his knees, holding his side stabbed.
All Might gritted his teeth, cursing under his breath, whether at whatever was brainwashing Loki or at himself for getting stabbed, the Symbol of Peace could not tell.
"Sentiment." Loki whispered almost zealously.
"Fuck!" Monoma cursed openly, slamming his fist into the armrest.
Thor roared, rising from his feet and charging Loki. The Asgardian grabbed him by the shoulder before kicking him down onto the glass railing, shattering it. Quickly, Thor grabbed Loki again, picking and lifting him up high over his head to then slam him down to the ground.
"Oof, Thor's not messing around anymore." Kaminari winced at the rough slam.
Before Thor could attack further, Loki rolled away and fell off the terrace. Thor looked down, seeing Loki land in the backseat of a Chitauri glider, steading himself as the glider flew away from the tower, leading a formation of other gliders.
"Shit, he's escaped." Pixie Bob swore. "And Thor could have taken him out of commission with a few more of those slams."
"He would likely have replaced himself with a clone or several." Mandalay argued.
Thor removed the knife from his side and tossed it to the ground, panting tiredly.
"Okay, he's alright." Izuku let out a sigh of relief. "A little tired and stabbed but if he's anything like All Might, he's not going down easily."
"Of course he wouldn't!" Bakugou yelled out. "There's no way that All Might would get taken out by such a tiny weak-ass dagger! He's the best!"
"For once, something that I can agree with him." Melissa snickered. "You can do it, Uncle Might!"
All Might smiled, touched by the praise and trust the three teenagers had in him, which would be mimicked by their fellow youth.
Cap ducked and hid between two New York taxi cabs with Black Widow and Hawkeye. "We've got civilians still trapped up here." Barton reported.
Barton was interrupted by Chitauri gliders flying over them, firing down on the city. Rogers looked and spotted who was leading them in the front. "Loki." He said.
Loki flew down the street full of cars, he and his forces raining blue bolts of destruction down and engulfing the street in fire and smoke, police and civilians running from both and flipped cars.
Growls of anger and glared eyes, either of frustration or hatred, were among the group. Monoma, All Might, and Itsuka filled the former category, frustrated of Loki continued, likely brainwashed, warpath that was costing innocent lives.
Izuku looked down at the chaos down in the street. "They're fish in a barrel down there." Rogers said. The window in front of him shattered from a blaster bolt, the super soldier ducking from more. Romanoff rose up and fired onto the Chitauri firing on them with her handguns. Hawkeye sneaked closer, seeing multiple Chitauri landing onto their street and firing on them.
"We got this. It's good." Ochaco said to Izuku. "Go."
Izuku looked to Ochaco and Hitoshi. "You think you can hold them off?" He asked.
"Captain," Barton said, looking to Cap while flipping a switch on his bow, his quiver rotating in response, an arrow attaching itself to an arrowhead. "It would be my genuine pleasure."
The mechanism of the quiver and arrows perked up many in the audience, most especially Shinsou, Mei, Melissa, and Momo.
Hawkeye stood up from his cover, blast bolts firing off beside him, pulling out the same arrow and firing it. It landed in the eye of one of the Chitauri, the arrowhead opening up and firing a few bullets out from it, striking and kill the other Chitauri next to it.
"Woah! That was awesome!" Kouta exclaimed, excited.
Shinsou flashed a proud grin at how badass he looked.
"The arrowhead seemed to have miniature bullets or pellets that upon the arrowhead's impact, it must activate a mechanism that fires the bullets on any enemy around the arrow." Mei analyzed, writing down plans and schematics for 'Baby Making' time.
"And the bow has switches that equips the shafts with the appropriate arrowhead." Melissa added, launching towards Mei and helped her write down more, somehow keeping pace with Mei's frantic drawing, which amazed and terrified the students near her.
"Such versatility and combat options." Momo mused, cupping her chin as she thought about how it could apply to her. 'I could easily produce the arrowheads and extra features easily, and the arrow shafts and bow easier. Though it could take a while to make all in such a short time before a fight or crises situation, so perhaps I should make or commission one beforehand.'
As if knowing exactly what she was thinking about, Izuku looked away from Momo and proceeded to add another section to his notebook, this one with the title: Momo as Hawkeye?
Black Widow rose up from her cover and fired on the enemy again, Izuku rushing out from cover and jumping down towards the street. He landed onto a bus in a roll, Chitauri gliders firing on him and fire exploding behind him. Captain America jumped out of the bus, explosions igniting behind him, landing onto a car that was flipping and vaulting off of it, performing a mid-air flip and landing on the ground in a roll before taking off.
"That was a nice vault and flip, Midoriya." Asui complimented. "You used the momentum of the flipping car to vault yourself forward and corrected your landing with a flip. Impressive."
"T-Thank, Asui." Izuku blushed.
"I told you to call me Tsu." Asui said for the bajillion time in a row, or at least what Asui felt like it was.
Romanoff continued firing on the Chitauri while Barton helped of trapped civilians off a bus, helping them out the windows before prying the doors open to let the rest out quicker.
"Good." Aizawa nodded, pleased. "Uraraka's faster-firing guns provide a better cover fire against the Chitauri while Shinsou's greater physical and arm strength works better with prying the doors and windows of the bus open."
Uraraka and Shinsou fist-bumped each other again, proud of the praise from their teacher.
Ochaco fired and struck a Chitauri in the head, crying out in death, blue blood spraying out from its head.
Eri squeaked in frightful surprise, Izuku quickly fixing his mistake by covering her eyes.
"Eww." Mina gagged, rubbing her head as if she was struck. "Right in the head."
Hitoshi joined her behind the cab and fired on the Chitauri again with his arrows.
"Just like Budapest all over again." Romanoff shouted over the gunfire and havoc.
"You and I remember Budapest very differently." Barton replied as he fired arrow after arrow.
"Is that some kind of previous mission that they were on?" Sero asked.
"Probably." Shoji shrugged.
"But what the heck happened in Budapest that an alien invasion would remind her of?" Ojiro scratched his head at his own question.
Rogers ran through and jumped over destroyed cars, dodging energy bolts from above. A squad of police cars huddled up, police firing on the air forces of the aliens. One officer ran up to the chief officer, yelling into his ear "Its going to be an hour before they can scrabble the National Guard."
"National Guard?" The chief questioned, the two ducking from bolts that struck the car behind them. "Does the army know what's happening here?"
"Do we?" The officer replied.
"I would think alien coming out of portal and attacking pretty much screams what's happening." Awase said.
Rogers landed in front of them, atop a police car to their surprise. "You need men in these buildings." Rogers told them, pointing to the buildings around them. "There are people inside and they're going to be running right into the line of fire." He looked back to the chief. "You can take them to the basements or through the subway. You keep them off the streets." The chief looked at him in bewilderment. "I need a perimeter as far back as 39th."
"A splendid show of analysis and rescue work!" Nezu praised.
"Indeed." Tsukauchi nodded, impressed. "He's right that in the chaos, people will try to get out of the buildings into the line of fire, especially since there are Chitauri also jumping into the buildings. Taking into the subway and basements is a smart way to keep them out of danger."
"Why the hell should I take orders from you?" The chief questioned, skeptically.
"Does this guy not even know about Captain America?" Kaminari asked, bewildered.
"We all didn't even know about Captain America hours ago." Mineta retorted. "Also, even if he did, the whole world thought he died in WWII. Also, in a world without Heroes, who would follow the orders of a man in a spangled outfit?"
Before he could reply, explosions of fire occurred behind Izuku. Rogers stood back up, blocking a bolt of energy, as two Chitauri soldiers jumped down beside him and attacked. Captain America bashed the Chitauri to his left away with backhand from his shield, turning swiftly to block a energy blast from the one behind him. The Chitauri tried vainly to scratch the shield only for Cap to punch it back. Cap once more backhanded the previous Chitauri across the face, grabbing its left arm, pulling it back and slamming the face of the shield into its gut knocking it down to the ground. Turning back to face the second one, Rogers grabbed the alien's gun-for-an-arm and slashed the arm off with his shield, the Chitauri screeching in pain.
Captain America silently ended it with by smacking the dead alien away without looking.
And cue the rising blushes of half the female population in the room.
"That was so sick!" Kirishima high-fived Tetsutetsu.
"And Manly!" Tetsutetsu added.
"I need men in those buildings." The Chief quickly turned around and relayed Cap's orders to his men. "Lead the people down and away from the streets. We're going to set up a perimeter all the way down to 39th Street."
The audience exploded into laughter and chuckles. Mina and Hagakure were practically hugging theirs sides, Kaminari and Mineta were shaking their heads with smirks on their faces while they slow clapped. Hawks and Mic were slapping their knees at the hilarity, Endeavor and Aizawa rolling their eyes and cringing at the loud laughs blasting in their ears.
"Oh! That was hilarious!" Setsuna wheezed from her laughter. "I...I can't breathe!"
"That was pretty funny." Itsuka chuckled. "And I liked how Izuku didn't have to say anything to anything, just show why they should listen to him."
"Actions speak louder than words." Yui quoted in agreement.
Iron Man flew around a building to come face to face with the large Leviathan. Multiple flares fired off his armor, the Leviathan roaring in acknowledgement, turning around and destroying buildings in the process to chase after Bakugou's counterpart, the rubble falling near some civilians and destroying a hot dog stand.
"NO!" Fat Gum yelled in absolute horror. "WHY?! Why The Hot Dogs?!"
Chuckling a bit from Fat Gum's exaggerated horror, Mirio said "That was smart of Stark. Now he must be trying to lead the Leviathan away from overly crowded areas."
"Well, we got its attention." Stark said. "What the hell was Step 2?" He asked before flying off with the Leviathan in pursuit.
"Or he could just be making it up as he goes." Nejire responded. More laughter and chuckles went off, with even Mirio chuckling embarrassed, as emphasized by his neck rubbing. Bakugou meanwhile grumbled at once more being laughed at.
Hawkeye swung his bow and swept the opposing Chitauri off his feet to the ground, grabbing an arrow from his quiver and stabbing it in his exposed gut. Black Widow straddled the backside of a Chitauri, jamming her electrified gloves into its neck, the alien snarling in pain till it fell dead. Hawkeye was then tackled to the ground by another Chitauri.
"Shinsou!" Deku and Uraraka yelled.
Black Widow, now armed with one of the alien staff weapons spun it and knocked away the Chitauri's gun arms from her before pointing at the both of them and firing the two with their own weapon. Hawkeye stabbed the Chitauri on top of him with another arrow, while Black Widow swung the weapon again at two more Chitauri, backing them away.
"Damn, those two kick ass." Sen said, impressed.
"And they are both Quirkless." Awase pointed out, impressed too. "Like Bakugou in here is too but at least he's in a suit of armor that can fly and shoot lasers. They are just two assassins fighting against an army of aliens, which is even more badass."
While Shinsou and Uraraka were pleased with the praise, impressed themselves with their counterparts, it was Izuku and Melissa that smiled the most at Awase's praise of the two Quirkless Heroes. Izuku felt many of the taunts thrown at him for wanting to be a Quirkless Hero now seem even more like a waste of air, to his pleasure. Melissa smiled too, returning to write down in Deku's notebook, the flames of her old dream reigniting with a passion.
Down the street, more Chitauri landed and fired on them. While Hawkeye slid under the blaster fire and a swipe from a Chitauri and firing at arrow at the latter's backside, Captain America jumped into the fray, dropkicking the two Ochaco fought to the ground, back handed with his shield on a third, and jabbed a fourth in the stomach, the shield spilling black blood.
"Thanks for the help, Deku." Uraraka thanked the green haired teen. Shinsou nodded, likewise offering his thanks, though more stoically.
"No problem." Izuku rubbed his neck, a slight blush on his cheeks.
The other Chitauri advanced on them until bolts of white lightning came down from the sky and electrocuted them to a crisp, Thor landing right after.
"Oh, and thank you too, All Might." Uraraka thanked this time the Symbol of Peace.
"Anytime." All Might nodded with a smile.
"What's the story upstairs?" Izuku asked.
"The power surrounding the Cube is impenetrable." All Might's counterpart replied.
"Thor's right." Katsuki jumped in through the coms. "We got to deal with these guys."
"How do we do this?" Ochaco asked.
"As a team." Rogers answered.
Deku smiled and looked at his team from another world. Uraraka nodded and gave a cheery grin and thumbs up, while Shinsou smirked and nodded. While still unsure his counterpart would make it, Jurota met Izuku's expectant stare with an affirmative nod and smile. All Might nodded and saluted to his protégé. And finally, Bakugou met Deku's eyes for second before rolling them in exasperation, though the Green Bean picked up the 'Of course, you damn nerd,' that he meant to say.
"I have unfinished business with Loki." Thor told them.
"Yeah? Well get in line." Barton retorted, fixing up his arrowheads.
"Careful Shinsou." Aizawa warned to both Shinsou's. "On the job, you must focus on the mission at hand and leave all personal priorities behind."
"Understood." Shinsou gave his mentor an affirmative nod.
"Save it." Cap jumped in, walking up to be in front of them. "Loki's going to keep this fight focused on us, and that's what we need. Without him, these things could run wild."
"True." Kamui Woods nodded. "Left to their own devices, the Chitauri would cause more death and destruction."
"But with that gold horned prick so focused on pride and drama, he's at least keeping them in check." Mount Lady continued with Kamui's thoughts. "Better a showdown with the Heroes than on the innocents."
Rogers pointed to the sky and continued with "We got Stark up top. He's going to need us to-"
Rogers was interrupted by the motor of a bike. Izuku turned around the rest stared at Bruce Banner, dressed in a purple dress shirt and brown pants, driving up to them on a bike.
"Jurota! Its your counterpart!" Pony pointed excitedly. "You came to help!"
Jurota sighed, relieved, and smiled, happy to see that he has come to make amends and fight against this evil. The nods and smiles from his team from another world only made the beastly classmate smile wider and grateful.
Walking up to them, Bruce said "So, this all seems horrible."
"That's an understatement." Rin snickered.
"I've seen worse." Romanoff replied.
Of course, still feeling guilty from his recent rampage, Jurota flinched in shame.
"Sorry." Banner apologized.
"No, we could use a little worse." Ochaco corrected herself. Banner smirked at Romanoff.
Jurota looked to Uraraka who gave a smile and nod, to which Shishida responded in kind.
"Stark, we got him." Rogers radioed in.
"Banner?" Stark questioned.
"Just like you said." Cap said.
"Guess you were right, Bakugou." Sero said.
"Of course I am!" Bakugou proclaimed. "I'm never wrong!"
"Even with what you said to Mido-" Was all Kaminari could say before Nejire slammed a hand over his mouth to shut him up. Bakugou still heard and flinched.
"Then tell him to suit up." Stark responded. "I'm bringing the party to you."
Turning around the corner and flying them was Iron Man, followed, and destroying the building behind him, by the Leviathan.
The group of Heroes looked up to see the incoming monster, Thor snarling as he readied Mjolnir. "I-I don't see how that's a party." Romanoff retorted.
"You and me both, sister." Mina nodded, wide eyed and worried.
Iron Man flew towards them closer to the ground, the Leviathan following suit and sliding down on the ground, slithering through cars.
"He wants Banner to face That?!" Kinoko questioned, worried.
"If there is anyone on this team that I would want to face that thing its Banner." Sen said. "And Thor."
Bruce walked towards the Leviathan. "Dr. Banner." Cap spoke up. "Now might be a really good time for you to get angry."
"That's my secret, Captain." Bruce replied, looking over his shoulder, the Leviathan nearing him as the triumphant, iconic music began playing. "I'm always angry."
Blinked eyes of surprise came from the group. Jirou's eyes then widened and smiled at the sound of the music. "Its the music." Jirou said.
"Oh boy, here we go." Mirio rubbed his hands, excited.
Swiftly, Bruce grew, turned green and ripped through his new shirt, the Hulk roaring as he struck his fist into the head of the Leviathan, the alien monster slowing and his skull bending and cracking to its death as the iconic music burst out.
"Holy Shit!" Mineta cursed out loud. "He just murdered its Face!"
"Yes, yes he did." Jurota grinned, for once happy to see his counterpart's green counterpart.
"He can turn into the Hulk at any time?!" Hagakure exclaimed.
"It seems so." Itsuka said, smiling.
Its body flipped over, the metal of its body cracking and breaking apart, its over upper side flipping and beginning to fall over them. "Hold on!" Iron Man yelled, firing an anti-tank missile into its fleshy side. Black Widow hid underneath Cap's shield, the two ducking from the fire and debris, while Thor simply withstood it easily and Hawkeye hid behind a cab.
The remains of the dead Leviathan crashed on the lower street level. The Chitauri noticed and looked to the them, one of them removing his face mask to screech.
The music played as Hulk roared back in challenge, the screen panning and circling to Hawkeye withdrawing and arrow and aiming, to Thor readying Mjolnir in hand, to Black Widow cocking her gun, and finally to Captain America, who readied his shield, and Iron Man, who descended and joined the circle.
The Avengers stood together as the Chitauri around the city screeched in challenge and war.
"SO EPIC!" Kaminari and Mineta screamed out.
"AWESOME!/YAY!" Kouta and Eri cheered, pumping their hands into the air.
"SO MANLY!" Kirishima and Tetsutetsu screamed to the heavens, streams of crocodile tears flowing from their eyes.
Wolf whistles and 'Who-ho's' of cheers exclaimed from the students and some of the adults, like Hawks and Mic, the latter smiling to see his counterpart's wish come true.
Aizawa and Midnight smiled proudly, the latter showing it more, wishing their support to their students and colleague from another world.
Setsuna grinned wide, sending out her hand to rub Izuku's shoulder in support. 'Go get him, Soldier Boy.' Setsuna said in her mind.
'Be careful and may the Lord watch over you, Katsuki.' Ibara thought out, sending her vine to wrap around Bakugou's shoulder in support, as well.
Jurota grinned again, showing off his large incisors, feeling his inner beast pumped up.
Shinsou smirked and grinned, arms crossed.
All Might buffed up and flashed his famous smile wide.
Uraraka, her clenched fists raised to her sides, smiled and nodded, a determined stare on her face.
Bakugou, feeling Ibara's supporting vine, grinned maliciously and slammed a fist over his open palm, creating a mini-explosion.
Izuku rubbed Setsuna's hand on his shoulder, smiling and determined, the emerald green in his eyes flashing bright.
Loki looked down on his glider, unimpressed. "Send the rest." He ordered.
Out from the portal above, two more Leviathans emerged out with more Chitauri reinforcements.
"Oh come on!" Kaminari whined loudly. "There are more of them! How is that fair?!"
"Its never about fairness, Kaminari," Deku replied, memories of his experiences flashing in his eyes. "Its about standing up and doing what needs to be done."
"Guys." Romanoff spoke up.
"Call it, Captain." Stark said.
The Bakuquad looked over at their unofficial leader with a teasing smile, while said ash-blonde teen gained a tick mark for allowing the 'Shitty nerd' to give him orders.
"Alright, listen up." Captain America raised his voice, walking up and turning to face them. "Until we can close that portal, our priority is containment."
The Heroes nodded in silent agreement and approval at the Captain's decision making and priority assessment.
"Barton, I want you on that roof. Eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays." Cap ordered to Hawkeye, before turning to Iron Man. "Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or you turn it to ash."
"Nice." Snipe nodded, approving. "Hawkeye, with his impressive eyesight and a high vantage point, can see everything on the battlefield and where the enemy is are where they are going."
Shinsou noticed the looks from Jirou, Shoji, Hagakure, and Koda, Class 1-A's own scouts and recon experts, as well as Class 1-B's, which were Setsuna, Jurota, and Kuroiro. They offered him a series of thumbs ups, smiles, and nods, as if welcoming them to their unofficial club.
"And with Stark as their fastest guy who can fly and maneuver through the city, he's the perfect guy to coral those alien bastards from getting too far." Hawks added.
Bakugou grinned at the praise, not even bothering to look when raising his fist to fist bump Kirishima, Sero, and Kaminari.
"Can you give me a lift?" Hawkeye asked the armored billionaire.
"Right." Iron Man nodded. "Better clench up, Legolas."
Grabbing the clenching master archer, Stark flew into the air with Barton in hand.
"Pfftt, sorry, Shinsou, but you look so scared and worried for a minute there." Hagakure couldn't stop the snickers.
Shinsou didn't take it personally, especially when he heard the faintest sound of giggle coming from Yui. After that, the purple-haired teen didn't seem to mind at all.
"Thor, you got to try and bottleneck that portal." Rogers ordered to Thor. "Slow them down. You got the lightning. Light the bastards up."
Thor spun his hammer and flew to the sky, leaving Romanoff and Banner with Rogers.
"A wise decision." Iida nodded. "If too many of those Chitauri come through, they could be over-whelmed. Having Thor and his powerful, magical lightning seem the best deterrent for slowing the enemy down."
All Might smiled wider, a swell of pride rising at seeing his successor give out orders and act like a wise leader.
"You and me, we stay here on the ground." Cap said to Black Widow. "We keep the fighting here."
"Another wise choice." Midnight said. "Since Midoriya and Uraraka's counterparts aren't exactly as mobile as the others, it's better to stay near the area, to both lure in the Chitauri and to be in close proximity to Stark Tower in case they figure out what they need to do to close the portal."
Izuku and Uraraka looked to each other and nodded, before Deku raised his open hand out. Uraraka grabbed the hand and clasped it tight, Deku gripping back, expressing their trust in each other.
The moment was however ruined by Uraraka accidentally making Deku weightless and Uraraka profusely apologizing and canceling her Quirk.
"And Hulk." Hulk snarled and turned to the super soldier. Izuku pointed his finger to the sky and said one thing: "Smash."
Class 1-A and All Might grinned at hearing another version of Izuku say his now signature 'Smash'.
Izuku and Jurota looked at each other, before giving each other a thumbs up.
Hulk smiled, pleased. The Green Goliath leapt into the air, roaring as he landed onto the side of building, and an unlucky Chitauri. The squashed remains of it in hand, Hulk leapt to another building and smashed it again into the building's side. Barely feeling the bolts of energy from a Chitauri next to him, Hulk smashed it into the building and throwing another one away, before leaping to another building, tossing a fourth one through a window, and finally jumping out towards a fleet of gliders, crashing through one and smashing another.
"Jesus, he's tearing through them!" Rin exclaimed.
"While I have concerns, it is best to simply unleash the Hulk onto the Chitauri then fail and waste time trying to control him." Edgeshot commented.
Jurota nodded at Edgeshot's comment and smirked at the Hulk tearing through the Chitauri like flies. 'If to stop this army means to let the Beast run wild and tear them down swiftly, then that is what must be done.' Jurota thought.
Thor flew straight towards the Empire State Building, landing upon the side of its needle. Looking up, Thor raised his hammer to the sky, thunder rumbling and clouds gathering, electricity sparking around Mjolnir. A bolt of white lightning crashed onto Thor's hammer, the massive amounts of electricity shooting and spreading along the needle of the building. Looking to the portal and with a mighty yell, Thor launched the massive bluish white lightning towards the portal, stray bolts of lightning easily destroying multiple Chitauri in fiery explosions, and striking and quickly exploding two more Leviathans that tried to come through, the two roaring as they exploded.
"Holy Shit!" Kaminari yelled, sparkles of awe within his astonished eyes. "That was an Awesome lightning blast!"
"He used the Empire State Building as a lightning rod to further draw in and gather more of that lightning before unleashing it one giant blast." Gran Torino snickered. "Seems you and your equally muscle-headed counterpart actually have a brain."
"And with that big of a blast it not only destroyed all those stray, smaller Chitauri but the explosions and deaths of those Leviathans will clog the portal up for a bit to slow down their progression." David added. "Nice job, Toshi."
"Thank you, sir, David." All Might thanked his teacher and friend.
Back on the Helicarrier, Aizawa was watching the events unfold on his console through news networks and satellite imaging.
"Sir," Kayama walked up to him urgently. "The Council is on."
Aizawa frowned in displeasure, shutting off the news.
"Why do I get the feeling that that's not a good thing?" Nejire asked.
"'Cause nothing's more annoying and a waste of time than a bunch of desk jockeys whining about what's already happening and trying to interfere in our work." Miruko ranted, remembering the many meetings and annoying voices of the Heroic Public Safety Commission trying to control and tell her what to do, like be more gentler with the Villains she beats up or the damage of property her fights cause.
Hawks frowned, also displeased with the mention of Council and their, more than likely, counterparts in the HPSC, feeling a rather ominous feeling in the back of his mind.
"Stark, you got a lot of strays sniffing your tail." Hitoshi reported at the top of the building's roof, drawing an arrow and firing it.
True to his word, several Chitauri were following the flying Armored Avenger. "I'm just trying to keep them off the streets." Katsuki reported back.
"Well, they can't bank worth a damn." Barton informed, drawing another arrow and firing, without looking, striking and exploding a Chitauri flying behind him. "So find a tight corner."
"So cool!" Kouta cheered, eyes bright and shining.
"Wow, just wow." Itsuka said, stunned by the impressive marksmanship and timing.
"Hawkeye's analysis on the Chitauri is also very useful and helpful." Momo said. "They are flying at rather high speeds all around the city and the tight corners and buildings will assuredly lead to them crashing and exploding into several buildings."
"Yeah, like those Chitauri that chased after Bakugou in the beginning and one of them crashed into a building." Kyouka remembered.
"I will roger that." Stark replied.
Iron Man flew around with the Chitauri pursuing him. Hawkeye aimed at the as they flew past him, still looking at them as he fired his arrow. It sailed through the air and struck the bridge connecting the two parts of the Chitauri spacecraft, the arrow heating the metal rapidly. The glider split in two and crashed and exploded onto two buildings as Stark pulled back, letting the Chitauri right behind him pass him and fire a repulsor blast on it, causing it to crash onto the side of the street and explode.
"Damn, every time I see Iron Man flying around like that pretty much makes sense why he and Bakugou are counterparts." Sato said.
Bakugou smirked, appreciative that his combat skills were shared with his other self.
"Also, what happened with that arrow that Hitoshi shot?" Uraraka asked. "It looked like it melted through the glider in half."
"It may have either hit some kind of power source connecting the two parts of the glider or the arrow must have produced some kind of thermal signature that superheated and melted the metal." Izuku replied, writing down the battle and skills of the Heroes, as well as the Chitauri capabilities and maneuvers, in his notebook so fast his hands looked like blurs.
Stark continued flying through the city with the rest on him and firing on him, one accidentally ramming into debris from another's blast, before flying into a tunnel, the lead Chitauri's backup hitting the top of the tunnel and falling out dead.
"BAHAHAHAHAHA!" Mina burst out laughing. "That was hilarious! HAHA! He didn't even try to duck!"
"AHAHAHAHA! Yeah, it was like some Loony Toons cartoon!" Setsuna laughed along, hugging her sides.
Katsuki flew out and made a quick and tight turn to the left, another Chitauri crashing into the building while the last two chased after him.
"Oh boy." Katsuki muttered, searching for a tight spot. Finding it, he flew into a tight path, stray bolt's explosion knocking Katsuki the opposite wall for a split second before he continued flying, going underneath into a smaller path, the lead Chitauri crashing into the top and with its ally. Iron Man flew out out tight pathway as the two Chitauri ships crashed behind him in a ball of fire.
"Impressive." Endeavor nodded. "He led them into a tunnel where the lead Chitauri crashed and led to his partner unable to dodge in such a tight area."
"Nice call." Katsuki thanked. "What else you got?"
"Well, Thor is taking on a squadron down on Sixth." Hitoshi informed him.
Stark pouted childishly. "And he didn't invite me." He pouted, jokingly.
"Aww! What's the matter, Kacchan? Sad that you don't get to fight with your idol?" Mina asked teasingly.
"Shut Up, Weird Eyes!" Bakugou roared, red face.
A Leviathan flew down above a street, roaring as it looked towards and slithered towards a building, with people inside screaming at its approach. Suddenly, they looked back and screamed, diving out of the way as the Hulk barreled through the office space and out the window towards the Leviathan. Landing on its lower jaw, the unjolly green giant pulled back with its strength, the Leviathan pulled away from the building, its bladed fins crashing through its windows.
"He saved them!" Kinoko applauded. "That was so shroomtastic!"
"Still think he's just a curse?" Itsuka asked towards Jurota.
Jurota picked up that Itsuka wasn't just talking about the Hulk, but also about himself and his own Quirk. Jurota smiled, appreciate. "Yes, but a blessing, as well."
Black Widow fell on her back on the hood of cab, moving away from a Chitauri soldier who tried stabbing her with his weapon. The master assassin quickly straddled the creature's upper body, jamming her gloves into his neck, her Widow Bites shocking the creature. With it stunned, Romanoff grabbed the alien's staff weapon and fired on it's face, blue blood splattering out.
Ochaco whirled around and aimed the weapon behind her, stopping as she saw that it was Izuku. Rogers made his way to her as she sat on the cab, panting tiredly. "Captain, none of this is going to mean a damn thing if we don't close that portal." Romanoff told him.
"True, and there are still more of them coming through." Asui said.
"Wait, but I thought Thor was suppose to keep blocking the portal?" Hagakure asked.
"Perhaps he is keeping his attention out for the large Leviathans more than the Chitauri." Todoroki suggested.
The two stared up to the portal, more Chitauri coming through, and the blue beam powering it from atop Stark Tower. "Our biggest guns couldn't touch it." Rogers pointed out.
"Well, maybe it's not about guns." Black Widow replied.
Chitauri flew overhead while a group of them landed by Gran Central Terminal, making their way towards the two. "If you want to get up there, you're going to need a ride." Cap said.
"I got a ride." Romanoff said, looking up above her to see the flying by Chitauri. Dropping the weapon, she walked away from Izuku. "I could use a boost, though."
"Wait, is she doing what I think she's doing?" Kyouka asked, her eyebrows raising.
"I believe so." Momo nodded, her own eyebrows raising, too.
The super soldier stared up at the passing Chitauri gliders and caught on to her plan. Readying his shield up and backing up, Izuku asked "Are you sure about this?"
"Yeah. It's gonna be fun." Ochaco assured him, turning to face him and stare at her target.
Black Widow ran up to Rogers, jumping onto the car's hood before jumping onto Cap's shield. With Cap lifting the shield and her upwards, Black Widow sprung up into the air, reaching out and grabbing onto one of the gliders. Izuku watched her fly off with an impressed smile.
"That was so cool!" Kouta said, continuously amazed.
"Yes, she is really cool." Izuku rubbed the kid's head affectionately, unaware of the burning red face that Uraraka was experiencing from the praise.
"But rather risky." Iida argued. "If she had miscalculated even a second, Uraraka would have been smashed into-"
"Just give her and the kids this one, Iida, before you make them cry." Asui cut the blue-haired teen off.
The Captain was cut off from his awe by the Chitauri firing and advancing on him. Meanwhile with Ochaco, she climbed up onto the glider, the co-pilot unaware of her presence. Taking advantage, Romanoff took out a knife and cut off the metal chain tethering the co-pilot before kicking him off the alien vehicle. Climbing up to her feet and steadying herself on the fast moving vehicle, Romanoff jumped forwards and straddled the alien driver's backside, jamming her knives into his back.
"Okay, turn, turn!" She pleaded hurryingly, shifting the alien to turn the vehicle. It drifted in the air and barely escaped crashing into another building, knocking only slightly on its roof. "Less! Less!" She repeated her action of steering the alien and the alien ship as Chitauri followed after her.
"Wait, how is she steering this thing?" Sato questioned. "By the knives?"
"Where the knives landed appear to be right below the shoulder." Recovery Girl responded. "With the those knives, she could have slightly paralyzed its arms enough to where by the jerk of her movements she could direct and steer the vehicle through its arms, but just barely enough given she nearly crashed at that point."
The iconic music began playing again.
"Oh its the music again!" Kaminari pointed out, rubbing his hands. "Something epic is going to happen."
"Way to point out the obvious." Mineta rolled his eyes.
"Aren't we all just pointing out the obvious?" Ojiro asked.
Black Widow steered the Chitauri through the city. A Chitauri ship gained on her and aimed to fired on her, only to be blasted away and exploded by Iron Man flying in. As Romanoff flew off, Stark turned his body to fire at Chitauri behind him. Iron Man turned back forwards, making his way to the ground and plowing through multiple Chitauri making their way to Captain America. Stark slowed and landed, punching and firing on Chitauri behind Cap, who roundhouse kicked one away, Katsuki then firing on another. Izuku raised his shield and Katsuki fired on it, the repulsor blast reflecting off the Vibranium shield and cutting through Chitauri to their side.
Cheers and yells of excitement and awe were sounded off by the students yet again at the awesomeness of the scene and fight.
Setsuna and Ibara smiled, happy to see their individual crushes working together, especially after being at each other's throats earlier the same. They both also appreciated how rather hot the two were, or rather Setsuna was the only one openly acknowledging it, Ibara simply blushed yet chose to keep those thoughts to herself.
Izuku smiled brightly at seeing himself fight against these alien invaders with Kacchan, something that he remembered wanting for the two of them since they were little kids. Well before the bullying.
Bakugou smirked at seeing him flying and and blasting and smashing through the Chitauri like a badass. But when he saw him fighting alongside Deku, a memory flashed in his head.
"When we both become Heroes, let's do a team up and fight bad guys and save people!" A young Deku proclaimed, a goofy smile on his small, freckled face.
"Yeah, you can be my sidekick and fight under my command!" Bakugou remembered his little, younger self responding arrogantly.
"Ba, no fair Kacchan!" Little Deku whined. "Why can't we just be partners and not make it about who's the sidekick?"
'Heh, guess little you got his wish, in a way, huh Deku?' Bakugou thought as he saw their counterparts perform the rather cool reflecting move there.
The move done, Rogers went back to fighting the crowd of Chitauri while Stark flew up the building nearby, firing and punching on the Chitauri climbing up the side. He flew past the roof where Hawkeye fired an arrow point blank on a Chitauri's face. Barton ducked a couple of energy bolts from flying Chitauri, before getting up, taking out and aiming an arrow and letting it loose.
The screen followed the arrow soar through the air and land on the pilot's head, causing the ship to veer and crash into the head of a Leviathan, where Hulk clashed and ripped through Chitauri on its back. Thor landed on the Leviathan's back, helping his former foe by swinging and slamming Mjolnir onto the Chitauri, launching them away.
"THIS IS SO EPIC!" Sero yelled out.
"This is one of the coolest things that I ever witnessed in my life." Sen grinned.
"What about All Might's last fight against that All For One dude?" Awase asked.
"I said One of the coolest things, didn't I?" Sen questioned back. "That one was too."
Hulk ripped out a piece of the Leviathan's armor and stabbed it through its body. Thor noticed, raised his hammer high, sparking with lightning and hammered the makeshift nail further into the creature's body. The creature roared in pain, slowing and crashing through and inside a history museum, the crowd inside screaming as they ran away. The creature slowed and laid limp on the ground dead.
Claps and cheers were sounded for Hulk and Thor's victory against the giant monster. Jurota smiled, pleased still to see his formerly rampaging counterpart to be fighting for good and slaying this monster. Meanwhile, All Might smiled heartwarmingly, unable to feel a swell of pride and fondness for the same cheers and rounds of applause he would get from the crowds of onlookers when he was still a Hero.
Hulk and Thor stand upon the fallen beast they slew together, silently admiring their feat. They looked at each other briefly before childishly looking away.
"Aww, they look so cute, being such grumpy gusses!" Midnight cooed, motherly. "Working together yet acting so macho-y!"
"I'm honored to be fighting with your counterpart, Jurota." All Might spoke up, choosing to ignore Midnight's motherly coos. "This time on the same side."
"The feeling is mutual, Sir All Might." Jurota respectfully bowed.
"It is really nice to see these two work together, you know after the last time." Itsuka said, remembering the two's fight on the Helicarrier.
Suddenly, Hulk, without looking, punched Thor with his left fist, the God of Thunder flying away, while the green giant smirked, pleased.
"AHAHAHAHAHA!" Laughter burst out of the students and even the adults, with even Endeavor and Aizawa cracking a small smile.
"Spoke too soon, huh?" Itsuka sweatdropped, embarrassed at the poor, or rather perfect, timing.
"Pretty much." Yui said, a small chuckle breaking free from her thin, smirking mouth.
Izuku looked positively horrified at what occurred, while Uraraka and Melissa couldn't help but guffaw and laugh. Iida looked appalled and was ranting about 'how unbelievably rude and uncalled for what Hulk did', and Shinsou sigh and shook his head, a small chuckle breaking free from his façade. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu were confused on whether to laugh or rant about how 'Unmanly' it was, while Bakugou was hugging his sides in roaring laughter.
Nezu chuckled and Gran Torino burst out laughing too, while All Might between them just had a sweatdrop over his head. And while his classmates were thanking him and his counterpart for a hilarious scene, Jurota just hung his head in shame and horror.
Back atop Stark Tower, David Selvig groggily woke up. He shook his head, the daze and the blue hue of his eyes wearing off. He gasped in horror as the battle raging below clicked in his mind, looking up in more horror at the portal above. He laid by the structure and gasped and panted at the destruction he helped, unwillingly, create.
Melissa's eyes widened.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about him for a second." Sen said. "Wait is that blue hue fading?"
"Loki's brainwashing." Shinsou spoke up. "Mr. Selvig's hit in the head must have knocked the brainwashing out of him, like me."
All Might sighed in relief, though noticed that while his own David was likewise relieved, he shared the same shame and horror in his eyes as his counterpart.
Squads of soldiers of the U.S. Army ran through the chaos of New York and rode in a mounted jeeps, firing on flying Chitauri and escorting running, screaming civilians to safety.
"Well at least they held off the Chitauri long enough for the U.S. army to arrive." Ryukyu said.
"No offense, but I don't know if they are going to be as useful as the Avengers." Mount Lady shrugged.
"Whether they make as big as an impact as the Avengers is not the point." Kamui argued. "The best they can do is hold the perimeter with Stark and keep the Chitauri from spreading further and get the civilians to safety. It is very much similar with us and the police."
"Took the words right out of my mouth." Death Arms nodded.
Rogers groaned as he vitally struggled against a Chitauri above him, his hands on both sides of the alien blade it tried stabbing him with. Quickly, he pulled and slammed the blade into the ground beside his head and arm, before backhanding the Chitauri and slamming his fist into its face.
"Phew, that was too close to my 'Zuzu's head." Nejire breathed out, relieved.
'Your Zuzu?!' The girls exclaimed in their heads, glaring at the unaware Nejire, while Izuku felt his face and ears burn up.
The Chitauri slumped and twitched on the ground, a mirror, beside it, reflected Cap's figure as he got. "Captain, the bank on 42nd past Madison." Hitoshi reported in. "They've cornered a lot of civilians in there."
"I'm on it." Izuku gasped out as ran towards said location.
A crowd of huddled, terrified civilians flinched and gasped as the Chitauri on the floor above them aimed their weapons at them. They whispered panicking among each other. In the middle of the crowd was the blonde waitress from before.
"Hey, its that hot waitress from before." Mineta pointed out. "The one who hid in that restaurant when the invasion began."
"Indeed, and they have cornered them in what looks like to be a perfect shooting gallery." Fat Gum growled angrily.
A Chitauri in a different helmet, the leader among them, pulled out a device and activated it, the device flashing and beeping.
"Is that a bomb?!" Manga yelled, a question mark and exclamation point on his speech bubble.
"Hurry, Greenie." Setsuna whispered, her feet tapping rapidly and worried.
Captain America jumped in through a broken window and tossed his shield at the leader. The shield slammed onto the Chitauri's face, knocking him to the floor and dropping the bomb. The two other Chitauri fired on the shield-less Cap who dived for cover under a desk. Hearing the beeping off the bomb, Rogers kicked the desk towards the Chitauri, one of them flipped over the table while the other was pinned against it and the railing.
"Yeah! Go Papa!" Eri cheered.
"Show those ugly aliens who they shouldn't mess with!" Kouta cheered on his idol/father-figure, too.
Izuku ran to the pinned Chitauri, dodging a wild punch and countering with a left jab to the chest. He then wrapped his right arm around his neck and tossed him down the balcony, the crowd gasping and parting from the falling, now unconscious alien. "Everyone! Clear Out!" Captain America ordered the crowd.
"While tossing the bodies of alien invaders isn't the safest for the civilians, who knows when they could wake up and attack them, I suppose that in the heat of the moment it is forgivable." Thirteen mused.
"Not to me." Eraserhead replied. "Midoriya, I better not catch you doing the same and think better, you hear?"
"Yes sir!" Midoriya replied. While the some of the group thought the 1-A teacher was being a bit harsh and unfair, Class 1-A, the teachers, and Izuku himself knew that it was just Aizawa's way of teaching and some tough love, which Izuku appreciated.
Suddenly, the other Chitauri jumped onto Rogers, wrapping his arms around him from behind. Cap struggled against the alien, as it pried off his mask. The lead Chitauri got up and aimed his arm gun at Cap. Rogers quickly flipped himself over the Chitauri holding him, the blue energy bolt striking it instead. The bomb began to beep faster and faster.
"Shit." Izuku cursed in a whisper.
"Oh shit!" Mirio cursed. "Its going to blow!"
Setsuna paled drastically.
"Deku!" Uraraka and Melissa yelled out
"Get out of there, you nerd!" Bakugou yelled, a hint of worry escaping his eyes.
Quickly, the lead Chitauri went for the bomb while Cap dived for his shield. The Chitauri lifted the bomb to toss it, Izuku jumped and hid behind the shield as the bomb exploded, the Chitauri with it. The crowd ducked as the energy sailed over them harmlessly, but Izuku flew out the window, crashing, stomach-first, onto the roof of a car.
"NO!" Many of the girls screamed.
"IZUKU!" Setsuna screamed.
"Midoriya!" Todoroki and Iida yelled, worried.
Toshinori gripped what remains of his seat, desperately.
Eri and Kouta gripped onto Deku, who comfortably hugged them back.
The civilians looked up as the energy ceased while Izuku, slowly and painfully, got up and jumped off the car. Firefighters and army men escorted the crowd outside the building. The blonde waitress was led away, looking towards Izuku Rogers, his green hair bellowing in the wind, standing tired and panting, looking out in the distance.
"Okay, he's alive." Kaminari sighed, relieved.
"Midobro, dude, that was one of the manliest things I've seen, but be careful next time." Kirishima said. "You're giving me a heart attack."
"He looks really injured." Aoyama said, his usual constant smile replaced by a worried frown. "Maybe he should sit the rest out and-"
"No." Izuku interrupted Aoyama with a determined voice that left no room for argument. "Injured or not, until the threat is done and the civilians are safe, I would never give up, and neither would Rogers. As long as she and the others are safe, that's good enough for me to go on."
Class 1-B and the Heroes were taken aback by the seriousness and words from Midoriya, equal parts amazed and impressed by his stubborn convictions. Setsuna smiled lovingly, despite knowing that is what he would say, she couldn't help but think he was so cool and amazing. Class 1-A and the teachers smiled, knowing to drop the issue, no point in trying to argue against the brick wall that was Izuku Midoriya.
Yuga Aoyama was the only one to still frown, a worried and guilty frown, fear and shame leaking from his eyes.
"Director Aizawa, the council has made a decision." The S.H.I.E.L.D. councilwoman's voice projected as the scene shifted to Aizawa speaking to the Council on his console on the bridge.
"I recognize the Council has made a decision." An angry Aizawa replied. "But given that it's a stupid-ass decision, I've elected to ignore it."
"Yep, that is definitely your counterpart, Shouta." Midnight chuckled.
"Superior or not, if I'm told to do something stupid then I'm not going to follow in their idiocy." Aizawa replied.
"Even if it was from me?" Nezu asked, the teachers instantly freezing at the dangerous question the principal just asked.
Aizawa was frozen and silent for few moments. "You don't make stupid decisions." Aizawa finally said. "That's why I agreed to work for you."
Nezu was silent for few moments as well before suddenly bursting into delightful laughter. The rest of the teachers sighed in relief.
"Director, you're closer than any of our subs." The main Councilman spoke up. "You scramble that jet-"
"That is the island of Manhattan, Councilman!" Aizawa roared back, Kayama standing their worried and horrified. "Until I'm certain my team can't hold it, I will Not order a Nuclear strike against a Civilian Population!"
"WHAT?!" The group roared out.
"A N-Nuclear strike?!" Mount Lady stuttered in confusion and worry. "I-Isn't that kind of an extreme response?!"
"Its not just extreme, its Insane!" Pixie Bob yelled in reply. "Are their brains short a marble?!"
"While I understand their fear given the unprecedented danger the Chitauri pose, this nuclear option is a poor one." Edgeshot spoke up.
"Right! They are just going to launch a Fucking NUKE on NEW YORK?!" Miruko ranted, outraged. "Millions of People! Just Dead! And the Avengers and Their Army Too!"
"Plus, that Nuke may kill all the Chitauri that are there, but what about the ones that are still on the other side of the portal?" Hawks asked. "I doubt that nuke would take most of them out."
"And then there is the portal." David pointed out. "While I doubt that Thor's Mjolnir has the same impact and power as a nuke, the device keeping the portal up is still protected by an energy shield powered by the Tesseract, and I am far more confident that the power of the Tesseract can withstand a nuclear explosion than not."
"If we don't hold them here, we lose everything." The Councilman tried reasoning.
"I send that bird out, we already have." Aizawa retorted, signing the Council members off.
"When he says that, does he mean that they lose the moral battle or something?" Kosei asked.
"I guess." Kamakiri shrugged. "Not much a victory if you kill millions of your own people in the process."
Ochaco flew through the city to Stark Tower still guiding the Chitauri ship. An explosion from the building behind her brought her attention backwards. "Oh, you." Romanoff said, dryly.
Loki and his ship chased after her, firing blue bolts of energy at her.
"Hawkeye." Black Widow voiced through her coms.
"'Chaco, what are you doing?" Barton questioned, watching them from afar.
"Uh, a little help?" Ochaco pleaded, one of Loki's blasts striking the side of her vehicle.
Pressing a button on his bow, his quiver rotating in response, Hawkeye drew the arrow from his quiver and aimed. He stared at Ochaco being chased by Loki. "I got him." Hitoshi smirked.
As Loki began to go upwards, Hawkeye let the arrow loose. The arrow flew towards Loki, the demigod grabbing the arrow, by the shaft, without looking.
"Okay, I'll admit, though he's doing some evil shit, that was cool." Sen said.
Monoma took what he could get and smiled at the compliment.
Staring at what he caught, he stared back at Barton amused. Then the arrow clicked open and beeped. Loki and his ship was engulfed in flames of the explosion, the on-fire warmonger falling onto the terrace of Stark Tower, while his vehicle's remains crashed into the first two remaining letters of the Stark name.
"Pride comes before the fall." Tokoyami sagely said.
"And in this case, that fall being an exploding arrow to his smug face." Sero smirked.
Ochaco steered carefully before flipping off the Chitauri glider and landing in a roll on the sandy top of Stark Tower.
"Nice landing, 'Chaco." Mina clapped and cheered.
"Heh, thanks." Uraraka rubbed the back of her neck from the enthusiastic praise from Mina.
Loki got up just as Hulk jumped towards him, roaring. Banner plowed Loki through the window and into the penthouse, Loki crashing onto the wall before falling off. He looked up to see the green monster crouching like a gorilla. He slammed his fists into the floor and made for the Asgardian.
"ENOUGH!" Loki yelled, rising to his feet. "You Are, All of You, Beneath Me!" Hulk stopped and looked at Loki. "I am a God, you Dull Creature! And I will not be bullied by-"
Hulk grabbed Loki by his legs and swung him into the floor repeatedly, the ground cracking at every swing. Hulk lifted and inspected the ragdolled 'god'...before slamming him down two more times and ended on a third. The flattened Loki gaped still and gawking on the cracked floor.
Laughter. That was all that could be heard for minutes and minutes. Bakugou laughed like a howler monkey from Hell, holding his sides like his life depended on it. Mineta laughed so hard he fell of his seat, only fueling Kaminari's own laughter. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu supported each other from falling down from their own laughter, half of Sero's face, covered by his hand, as he laughed, and Sato was pounding on his armrest in his laughing fit. Aoyama and Koda couldn't help the chuckles that broke out of them, Ojiro snickered and chuckled, trying to cover his mouth, even Todoroki, Shoji, and Tokoyami couldn't help but chuckle, the last of who's Quirk was instead cawing out full-blown laughter. And even Deku himself, try as he might to be respectful, couldn't help but join in chuckling, Kouta's own explosive laughter and Eri's giggling breaking him.
Only Iida had the decency to give the currently terrified and red embarrassed Monoma some respect by claiming that the action was a smidge too far. Even though inside the blue-haired teen was a damn of laughter almost bursting to break free.
Kamakiri was hugging his stomach, laughing so hard he found it hard to breathe. Rin, Sen, Awase, and Kosei followed in their classmate's footsteps, hugging either seats or themselves in support. Shoda and Bondo chuckled as well, while Manga was laughing hysterically, a crying, laughing emoticon on his speech bubble this time. Mirio was laughing loudly, and even Amajiki snickered and chuckled a bit.
Honenuki and Kuroiro patted Jurota on the shoulders, praising their classmate for the glorious hilarity they saw. Meanwhile the man of the hour was equal parts horrified for what he did to Monoma's counterpart, another part confident that said counterpart deserved it, and another part trying to respectfully keep his own laughter inside.
With the girls, they were no different. Mina was laughing so hard she was crying, and Hagakure looked to have fallen off her seat. Momo was at first horrified at the scene, but then joined in giggling, however her best friend in Kyouka was unfiltered with her roaring laughter. She was joined by Uraraka, Nejire, and Melissa, the three guffawing out laughter, two of whom were laughing so hard they were floating, Uraraka, in hugging her sides, accidentally canceled her gravity. Asui managed to catch her but only barely, breaking free from her own croaking laughter.
Setsuna was howling in laughter, once more splitting into pieces. Ibara tried praying for Loki's hopeful recovery, though found praying hard when she was struggling through her giggles. Pony was a smidge worried about Monoma, but was still giggling with Kinoko nonetheless. Even Reiko and Yui chuckled a bit with Itsuka not even bothering to reprimand them for laughing at their classmate, using all her strength to keep her laughter in tow.
Most of the adults laughed just like the children. Hawks laughed and kicked his feet in the air like he was pedaling an invisible bicycle, and Mic joined him, though the latter's laugh forced Aizawa to wrap his scarf over his mouth, less he and the laughing Midnight suffered ear damage. Endeavor and Edgeshot envied the 1-A teacher as their only alternative were burning their ears off or rendering Hawks unconscious, both very appealing offers to the two. Miruko's own roaring laughter only made things worse for them. Sadly, Ryukyu's attempts to calm Miruko down failed, herself chuckling at the hilarious scene.
Fatgum laughed so hard he sent his two popcorn bags flying, which ended up landing on Ectoplasm's chuckling head. That only made Power Loader, Cementoss, and Snipe laugh even harder and Thirteen's giggles to grow louder too. The other found its home over All Might's head, which made Gran Torino and Recovery Girl laugh like hyenas, until the former had to stop, coughing from hurting his lungs. David and Tsukauchi chuckled in pity and fondness for their friend's poor luck.
Hound Dog clapped for Hulk's raging display while laughing like a barking dog. Mount Lady and Death Arms hugged in each other as they laughed, Kamui in the middle, trying to 'Look professional' as he said, though he still chuckled a bit. The Pussycats all laughed, from Ragdoll's and Pixie Bob's exploding laughter, Mandalay's conservative giggles, and Tiger's middling chuckles.
Vlad King felt guilty for laughing at what was essentially his student...for only a few seconds before he broke down too.
And Nezu's rather sinister, over-the-top laughter helped to lower down the mood, his laugh giving some the feeling that they will be hearing it in their nightmares.
"Puny god." Hulk spoke, walking away.
"The Hulk can talk?" Ojiro asked.
"Appears so." Rin shrugged. "And it sounds more like your own voice Jurota, only more deeper."
Jurota nodded in agreement.
The flattened Loki could only let out a long, high-pitched weak whimper.
And the whimper only made the laughing return with a vengeance.
"Oh boy." Mirio stopped himself from laughing. "Now that was quite the SMASHING show, huh?"
Not even crickets sounded at Mirio's joke(especially after Asui ate it).
"And now you ruined it, Mirio." Nejire said, shaking her head, disappointed in one of his worst puns to date.
Romanoff walked towards the device powering the Tesseract. "The Scepter." Ochaco heard looking to see David Selvig laying by the edge of the roof.
Melissa was torn between sighing in relief over her father freed from Loki's brainwashing, or holding her breath with the man leaning over the edge of a building.
"Doctor." Ochaco acknowledged.
"Loki's Scepter. The energy." David continued as Ochaco walked up to him. "The Tesseract can't fight, but you can't protect against yourself."
"I know that look of yours, David." All Might said to his best friend from America. "It's the same look that you had after the I-Island incident. And I will say the same thing I said back them, it wasn't your fault. You had no way of knowing that they or Sam would double-cross you, just as our counterpart couldn't fight against Loki's brainwashing."
David was silent for minute before relenting, giving a small smile and nod towards All Might, attempting not to show the guilt that was still in his mind.
"It's not your fault." Ochaco comforted the guilty scientist. "You didn't know what you were doing."
"Actually, I think I did." Selvig revealed to Ochaco's surprise. "I built in a safety to cut their power source."
"So Mr. Shield's subconscious influenced himself, even at his brainwashed state, to stop Loki." Deku summarized. "That must have taken a lot of willpower. That is awesome! Right, Mr. Shield?"
David's stunned eyes looked down to Deku who smiled at him innocently and without any form of pity or sympathy, but genuine amazement and happiness. The kid's smile and, his own counterpart's revealed efforts, helped vanquish his guilt fully. David chuckled. "Yes, I suppose it is." David replied. "And please, call me David."
"U-Uh sure, Mr.-I mean David, sir!" Izuku stuttered.
David chuckled again. "We'll work on that." He replied.
Melissa looked back and forth between her father and her crush with watery eyes full of gratefulness and hope, the former for Deku helping to make her Dad feel better in his obvious guilt, and the later being if this newfound familiarity between the two would make it easier for her and Izuku to have her father's blessing to date and...other stuff. The daydreams that came from her thoughts made Melissa red-faced and drooling.
Romanoff's eyes widened, realizing what Selvig meant. "Loki's Scepter." She said.
"It may be able to close the portal." David nodded, looking down to the terrace below, where it laid. "And I'm looking right at it."
"So Loki's Scepter can seal the portal? How?" Mina asked.
"Do you recall Mina what Banner and Stark discussed back in the Helicarrier?" Momo asked Mina.
"Nope." Mina replied honestly.
Momo fought the urge to facepalm and continued. "Well Stark and Banner discussed how the Scepter and the Tesseract have similar energy signatures." Momo continued. "So perhaps what Mr. Selvig did was install a failsafe where an energy signature of similarity to the Tesseract's can shut down the device, like Loki's Scepter."
"Oh!" Mina gasped out, eyes alight with realization. "I get it! I get it!
"Thank God." Kyouka sighed. "If I have to listen to someone simplify things for Mina again, I'm going to bash my head on this armrest."
"Hey Yaomomo, I still don't get it." Hagakure retorted, snickering as she talked. "Mind explaining aga-"
Hagakure was forced to shut up, raising her invisible arms in surrender under the glowing red-eyed glare and pointed jacks of Kyouka Jirou.
Thor grunted as he struggled against a few Chitauri on their glider. Quickly killing two and going for the third, a Leviathan appeared out of a skyscraper and crashed into the alien vehicle, Thor jumping off it in time.
"Woah, that too close." Rin exclaimed. "That Leviathan just crashed through the freaking building."
As the Leviathan continued slithering through the city, Iron Man flew beside it, firing his red laser from his wrists on its armored side. "Sir, we will lose power before we penetrate that shell." Jarvis informed.
Stark complied and stopped the laser before flying faster, flying around several buildings till the Leviathan was in his path. "Jarvis, you ever hear the tale of Jonah?" Katsuki asked.
Ibara perked up at the mention of Jonah, the story from the Bible of the man who was swallowed by a wha-...Ibara's eyes shot up wide as she realized immediately what Bakugou was doing. As for Bakugou himself, he felt equally as opposed as he was rooting for what his counterpart was going to do.
"I wouldn't consider him a role model." Jarvis warned.
"Wait...is he really..." Hawks raised an eyebrow and then another in surprise.
Deku's eyes widened as well, gripping onto his armrest.
His knees opening up to reveal several missiles, Stark flew straight towards the Leviathan as it opened it large mouth to roar.
"He's Going inside the Belly of the Beast!" Mineta screeched.
"Bakubro!" Kirishima exclaimed.
As it opened its mouth fully, Iron Man flew into the mouth and into the belly of the beast. From outside, explosions shot out from the Leviathan's serpentine body as it convulsed. A final, larger explosion occurred by its end, Katsuki flying out from said explosion. The Leviathan collapsed to the ground dead while Katsuki was flung from the explosion and crashed through a newspaper stand before hitting a car and collapsing to the street.
"That was super, duper, stupidly reckless, but also really sick." Hawks simply said, befuddled by what he saw.
"You of all people would know." Edgeshot retorted.
"Touché." Hawks replied.
Katsuki groaned as he got up only to get blasted back down by two bolts of energy from advancing Chitauri.
"KATSUKI!" Ibara yelled, her worry levels rising through the charts.
"Shit." Bakugou growled.
Hitoshi quickly fired an arrow at a Chitauri who landed behind him, the arrow going through its face. As another climbed up to him, Hawkeye drew his hand back to pull out another arrow, to discover that the quiver held none.
"Oh no!" Hagakure yelped. "He has no more arrows!"
Improvising, Barton swung his bow across the alien's face twice sending the alien down the building while chipping his bow a bit. Hearing noises, Hitoshi turned to see a large amount of flying Chitauri coming his way.
Shinsou's eyes widened. "Oh crap." He cursed.
"Get out there, Shinsou/Hitoshi!" Midoriya and Uraraka yelled.
Quickly, Barton grabbed the arrow from the dead Chitauri behind him and placed it back into his quiver. Clicking a button, the arrow equipped a new arrowhead. Right as the Chitauri began firing on his building, Hawkeye ran and jumped off the rood as it exploded in fire. Turning his body and drawing the arrow, Hawkeye faced the building as he began to fall and fired, a cord attached to the arrow. The arrow head split and revealed to be a grappling hook, tethering itself to the building's side. Barton grunted as he reached the end of the rope of the grappling hook arrow and swung towards a window. Crashing through it, Hitoshi fumbled to the floor grunting and groaning in pain.
Uraraka and Midoriya both sighed, but still felt worried for their friend's counterpart, on the floor, no arrows, and hurt.
Itsuka noticed, curiously, that Yui's normally blank face now had hint traces of emotion, mostly worry. Itsuka would make a mental note to discuss this with her later.
Hulk slammed two Chitauri to the ground before swiping and tossing the others around him away. Struck by a bolt of blue energy, Hulk looked up to see a large group of Chitauri on their flying vehicles, the lead Chitauri raising his hand and thrusting it forward. A second later, all the Chitauri started firing on the Hulk, covering his form in smoke and fire, roaring in discomfort and pain.
"Oh no." Pony whimpered.
Jurota growled angrily.
The growing, dark, somber music, as well as the few scenes of the Avengers getting overwhelmed, served its purpose in making the members of the audience antsy and worried.
"Director Aizawa is no longer in command." The Councilwoman addressed a pilot in a jet, his jet rising up from the hanger of the Helicarrier. "Override order 7-Alpha-1-1."
"7-Alpha-1-1, confirmed." The pilot confirmed, the bay doors opening. "We're go for takeoff."
"WHAT?!" Mina screamed. "What's Going On?!"
"The S.H.I.E.L.D. council." Asui croaked, angrily. "They are taking matter in their own hands and ordering the nuke to be sent."
"But they can't do that!" Uraraka yelled, outraged and afraid. "All those people."
Hawks growled in anger, knuckles cracking at just how far this Council was willing to go to save their own hides at the drop of a dime, much like the Safety Commission he was forced to obey.
"Sir, we have a bird in motion!" Kayama exclaimed as she saw the jet come up. Aizawa quickly took off out the doors. "Anyone on the deck, we have a rogue bird. We need to shut it down! Repeat, takeoff is not authorized."
Aizawa stepped out the door to the deck of the Helicarrier, carrying a bazooka in hand.
"Woah, is that Mr. Aizawa with a bazooka?!" Kaminari exclaimed.
"Now I think I've seen everything." Mic said. "But anyways, go Shouta! Go stop that nuke!"
Aizawa rolled his eyes from the cheer, but not as much as usual.
Aiming at the jet running down the runway, Aizawa fired the rocket. The rocket struck the right wing of the jet, the flaming jet sliding down the rest of the runway and stopping just on the ledge.
"Nice." Snipe nodded, impressed. "He fired it perfectly on the wings instead of the jet itself, crippling it rather than exploding the whole Helicarrier with the nuke going off."
The group blinked as most missed the realization of firing a rocket at a jet holding a nuke.
Aizawa lowered the useless bazooka only to turn to see another jet running down the runway. Aizawa took out his gun to aim at it, but was too late, the jet flying off towards the city.
"Curses." Cementoss growled. "The jet Eraser fired at was a decoy."
"Now the real nuke is heading towards New York." Hound Dog growled. "Grrr, this makes me so mad!"
Aizawa reentered the Helicarrier, pressing on his earpiece. "Stark, do you hear me?" Aizawa asked. "You have a missile headed straight for the city."
"How long?" Katsuki asked, trying to get up only for a Chitauri to slam the blade of his weapon down onto his helmet, sending the billionaire genius back down to the ground.
Ibara flinched at the blow.
"Three minutes, max." Aizawa informed, somber music playing, Katsuki fighting off the horde of Chitauri on top of him. "The payload will wipeout Midtown."
"Get out of there, Bakubro!" Kirishima mocked jabbed the air. "There and there! Blast those aliens off!"
"Jarvis, put everything we got into the thrusters." Stark ordered.
"I just did." Jarvis replied, Iron Man rising up, knocking away the Chitauri trying to grab onto him, and flew off.
"Go, Bakugou, Go!" Mina cheered.
"Go Uncle Kacchan!" Eri cheered too.
The jet sailed over the water towards New York.
The pilot pressed the button on his stick, the white missile dropping off the jet, its engine igniting, flying towards New York. "Package is sent." The pilot informed, as he turned the jet around. "Detonation in 2 minutes, 30 seconds, mark."
Many of the group in unison flipped a middle finger onto the screen, not necessarily at the pilot, he was following orders, but mainly at the Council that wished for this.
The somber music picked up as a shot of the Battle of New York was shown. The scene changed to a slow-mo of Thor and Izuku and recalling their weapons before fighting the Chitauri around them. As Thor fought a couple and Cap finished another, a bolt of energy came in and struck Izuku's stomach, sending him to the ground.
"NO!" Setsuna yelled, tears leaking from her eyes.
"DEKU!/IZUKU!/MIDORIYA!" Many of the group yelled in horror, mainly the girls, Bakugou, Todoroki, Mirio, and more.
Melissa grabbed onto Izuku like a lifeline, her action mirrored by Eri and Kouta, and he hugged them back, his eyes hardened and determined, a message in them to himself 'Do not die, you idiot.'
All Might was filled with a rage as he buffed up, his bright blue blazing with fury at what the Chitauri had done.
The group of Chitauri continued firing on Thor, the God of Thunder blocking the blasts with Mjolnir, Cap slowing getting up to his hands and knees. Thor swung his magical hammer under a car, flipping and sending it flying onto the group, crashing through and crushing them in its path.
'Too quick.' All Might growled in his thoughts as he debuffed. 'A unforgiveable deed like that does not deserve a swift death.'
Thor tossed Mjolnir over to an unseen group of aliens. Thor lowered his hand to Rogers on his knees, the super soldier accepting the hand and was pulled up to his feet. "Are you ready for another bout?" Thor asked, Cap clutching his shot side, burnt and bloody.
"What, are you getting sleepy?" Izuku asked, sarcastically. Thor smirked as he recalled Mjolnir.
"What? Did you guys think that would stop either of us?" Deku questioned/smiled comfortingly at his friends, which worked at easing them. He squeezed his left hand tight in response to the detatched hand of Setsuna gripping on him so hard till it turned white.
"This kid, I swear, has the endurance and soul of a saint." Miruko shook her head, amusedly astounded. "And the courage and bod of Greek god."
At the top of Stark Tower, David open up the console connected to the device, Romanoff walking towards the device with Loki's staff in her hands. "Right at the crown!" David pointed.
"Yes! Yes! Close it! Close the portal!" Kinoko cheered.
Ochaco aimed and slowly thrust the Scepter towards the device, the Scepter slowly cleaving through the energy barrier and towards the Tesseract and device. "I can close it." Ochaco said over her coms. "Can anybody copy? I can shut the portal down."
"Do it!" Rogers responded.
"No, wait." Katsuki interrupted.
"Stark, these things are still coming." Cap said.
"I got a nuke coming in." Stark revealed, looking to see the white missile flying towards the city. "Its gonna blow in less than a minute" Iron Man flew up to and across a bridge before swiftly stopping and flying up, chasing after the missile. "And I know just where to put it." Stark continued, flying at full speeds towards the missile.
"Brilliant!" Momo gasped out. "He's going to redirect the missile through the portal!"
"That's ingenious!" Jurota agreed. "Not only will the nuke be safely rid of from Manhattan but it could strike and explode on Chitauri from whatever base or station they are coming from."
'That is truly Heroic and brave, something that Katsuki could do.' Ibara thought as the students and adults praised Stark's plan, but Ibara frowned with worry. 'But then...what about Katsuki himself?'
Her thoughts were mimicked by Midoriya who looked concerned, staring at Bakugou who, rather than bask in the praise like his old self would do, appeared fully serious.
Catching up to it, Stark grabbed the missile by its underside and continued flying towards Stark Tower and the portal.
"He's got the missile." Ryukyu nodded in approval. "Now all he has to do is angle and lead the missile...into the portal."
Just like Ryukyu, the rest of the audience fully realized the cost that would need to be payed in order for this plan to succeed. And they didn't like it.
"Stark, you know that's a one-way trip." Roger solemnly warned.
Kirishima sobered from the hype and what replaced it was worry and fear.
Izuku's eyes were shadowed by his hair, leaving only his unpleased, yet understanding frown to be seen. Midoriya absolutely hated what the plan called for, knowing the likely cost, but understood and accepted why it had to be done and who had to do it. 'Its what Heroes do.' Izuku somberly repeated, inwardly.
All Might shared in Midoriya's immense displeasure of Stark's plan, most of him roaring that it should be him that should lead the missile through the portal. 'But is has to be Young Bakugou.' All Might relented, internally. 'I-er-Thor is not as fast a flier as Stark and can't make as tight and quick turns necessary to divert the missile in time. And my strength could more than likely detonate the nuke early. No, it must be him. As much as I hate it, is has to.'
"Save the rest for the return, J." Stark ignored the captain and spoke to Jarvis.
'If there is a return.' Todoroki was tempted to say, but given the growing grimness, even a social inept like him knew better than to say it. Even Kaminari and Sero kept their lips shut, despite the former currently chewing through his fingernails.
"Sir...shall I try Miss Shiozaki?" Jarvis sadly asked, pulling up an image of Shiozaki.
The sniffles had already started, first with Mina, the added romantic drama of it already breaking the damn over her tears after the thought of her friend dying. Even Uraraka was feeling bad, her rivalry and petty anger towards Bakugou for his past and even current treatment of Deku not enough to make the Zero Gravity user unable to be worried and saddened.
Katsuki stared at her image and breathed deeply. "Might as well." Katsuki agreed.
On a plane, Ibara and a few others watched the news of the battle. "The streets of New York City have become a battleground." A reporter informed on the news. "The Army is here trying to contain the violence but clearly, it is outmatched. And I have to say, in all my years of reporting, I have never seen anything like this." A frightened and worried Ibara had her eyes glued to the screen that she didn't hear her phone ringing, Katsuki as the caller.
'Pick up the phone! Pick up the Phone!' Ibara screamed, mentally, at herself, tears already starting to leak. 'Please! Please.'
"We have limited information on the team, but we do know that billionaire Katsuki Stark's Iron Man-" The reporter continued, as Aizawa, Kayama, and all the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents on the bridge watched with baited breath.
Aizawa was among those who shared distaste for what he knew was to come, attempting to come up with many different alternatives to this plan and criticize Stark for choosing the most dangerous route. But Aizawa eventually relented, knowing his thoughts were lead by emotion, not logic, and logic called for a heroic sacrifice. Thoughts flashing of Shirakumo, Aizawa thought 'May the results not be the same.'
Flying straight towards Stark Tower, passing by Thor and Cap from below, Iron Man pushed the missile up with all his might, emphasized by his extensive grunt, all the thrusters of his suit pushing upwards with him as the missile angled upwards.
"He's using the thrusters and his own strength to angle the missile upwards." David said, nodding, both in respect and good fortune.
Hulk came out of the rubble he was in to look up as well. Stark pushed hard, the missile barely missing Stark Tower, Stark's suit grazed by the wall, and flew up, past Selvig and Black Widow.
The students were at the edge of their seats, leaning forwards towards the screen, anxiously.
"Godspeed be with you, Young Katsuki." All Might whispered.
Iron Man and the missile flew up along the beam of energy. Finally, the music picking up dramatically, Iron Man and the missile went through the portal.
"YES!" Erupted cheers went up from the group, with rounds of applause clapping and exclamations of joy.
Endeavor nodded in respect, lowering his head in honor and luck. Edgeshot and Kamui Woods followed suit, while other pros, like Death Arms, gave a large thumbs up.
The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents erupted in cheer, many of their reactions ranging from hugging each other to sighing relief. Kayama sighed too, looking to Aizawa who smiled sadly.
With Iron Man, he and the missile flew into the vast, star-filled darkness that was space, the portal behind him. Katsuki hitched his breath, eyes wide. "Sir..." Jarvis said before cutting out, the suit's power cutting out, Ibara's call failing and her image fading.
The cheers and elation quickly died and was replaced with grim horror and fear. Ibara had to cover her mouth to keep her gasps in, tears already flowing like a river, inwardly cursing herself for failing to pick up that phone. Setsuna could only place a hand on Shiozaki's shoulder to express comfort.
Izuku and Mirio were quick to cover Eri's eyes, the poor girl struggling to pry her Papa's and Uncle's hands from her face to see what was happening. Izuku's hands, much like his whole body, was as solid as a rock, silent and frozen as he watched his childhood friend start to suffocate.
The Iron Man suit began icing over and shutting down, the armored Avenger letting go of the missile as it continued sailing, Stark's body floating down towards the portal. Stark's eyes stared wide as the missile sailed past the whole rest of the Chitauri army and Leviathans towards a massive space station.
Eyes widened at the station and the number of Chitauri and Leviathans that were left in waiting.
'This army makes the one that they fought look small by comparison.' Hawks thought, bitterly. 'They were waiting in reserve.'
The missile struck the station, exploding with the station into a massive supernova that engulfed the ship and began engulfing the Chitauri ships and army.
Mei's eyes widened as she looked at, what she considered a majestic sight, her curiosity over what happens when a nuke explodes in space sated, leaving more room for her to actual sympathize, and feel a little ashamed for ignoring it up until now, Stark's sacrifice.
Bakugou, silent for the most part through all this, let out a tiny smirk and quiet chuckle. 'My best explosion yet.' Bakugou thought, bitterly. Quickly that bitterness turned to anger and rage, shaking off the sadness as he lowly growls. 'But now my last. You Hear Me, Me?! If you don't get into that portal and back to Her, I'll personally explode you more than nuke ever could!'
Back on Earth, the Chitauri's blue light on their armor turned off and Chitauri slumped to the ground, powering down. Thor and Cap staring bewildered at the foot soldiers falling around them. A Leviathan in the sky spasmed as it too shut down, flipping over in mid-air an landing on its back side on the top of a building.
"Why are they deactivating?" Awase questioned, confused. "Are they robots or something?"
"They may be something like cyborgs or androids." Power Loader replied. "Cybernetically enhanced most likely, and with the mothership gone, they're shutting down."
Katsuki Stark stared at the heavenly destruction in front of him with wide eyes and mouth, before closing his eyes.
"NO!" Ibara cave in and screamed.
"BAKUGOU!/KACCHAN!" Kirishima and Izuku yelled, too.
His body continued floating down towards the portal. Izuku looked up to the portal, expectantly. "Come on, Stark." Ochaco whispered, looking for any sign of the billionaire hero.
"For once in your idiotic life, Listen to Me!" Uraraka yelled to, a tear or two leaking from her eyes.
Bakugou didn't know whether to be shocked, touched, or angry at Uraraka's words, so he just chose to focus on the screen.
All they could see and hear was the muffled explosion of the nuke and space station, and the supernova forming and spreading towards the portal. Thor and Rogers looked to each other with grave reluctance. Rogers looked back up to the portal. "Close it." He ordered, solemnly.
"No, wait!" Ibara yelled again.
"I'm sorry, Ibara, but if they wait any longer that explosion will pass through the portal, and then Bakugou's sacrifice would be in vain." Itsuka said, lowering her head in acceptance.
With a grunt, Black Widow stabbed the Scepter further, the blade touching the crown of the device. Instantly, the Tesseract stopped spinning and glowing brightly, the pillar of energy cutting off entirely and the portal slowly starting to close. Rogers lowered his head in regret and sad acceptance.
As the portal started to fully close, Stark's body managed to slip through the portal before it closed, the supernova blasting past where the portal once was. Katsuki's body spiraled as he fell from the sky.
"YES! He Made it Through!" Kaminari exclaimed, joyfully.
Ibara's frown began to turn into a smile, similar to Izuku. Distracted, Eri pried off her Papa's hand to see her Uncle Kacchan falling through the sky.
Romanoff smiled in relief. "Son of gun." Izuku chuckled out, he and Thor looking up at the falling armored hero.
At realizing that Stark was not moving or slowing down, Thor said "He's not slowing down." He spun Mjolnir around, preparing to take off towards Stark.
Just as Stark's body reached the buildings, Hulk came out from nowhere and grabbed Stark's limp body, sliding roughly down the building with Stark in his large arm.
"YES!" Another exclamation of cheers resounded from the students.
Many of those around him patted, bumped their elbows and fists softly, and congratulated Jurota for his counterpart's actions. Jurota smiled, feeling the blessing/curse that was the Hulk looking less and less like curse. "Whatever it may be, depends on how I control it." Jurota mutter to himself, recalling his counterpart's conversation with Stark about controlling the Hulk.
Jurota looked up to Shiozaki who was giving him a heartfelt smile of gratitude. Jurota found her thanks truly heart warming. In his mind, he remembered the looks of fear from the children and adults in his youth after he let his rage wild. With her smile, the looks vanished and Jurota now pictured himself, both truly himself and his Hulk counterpart standing before a crowd of saved civilians looking at them the same way Ibara was.
The thought quickly cemented into a goal for the Young Shishida, now striving further to turn his rage and Quirk into truly a power meant to save people, just like Banner and Hulk.
Hulk jumped off the building, angling his body to land on his back, severely flattening a car on landing and sliding to a halt. Hulk then quickly tossed Stark's body off of him, landing roughly face-first.
A few snickered broke free from some of the guys at Hulk's action, while Iida began a rant at Hulk, who obviously couldn't hear him, about not being so rough and to be more gentler. Jurota sweatdropped. 'Uh...one step at a time.' Jurota thought.
All Might and Izuku's counterparts rushed towards Katsuki. Thor flipped Stark over onto his back, Izuku and Hulk also standing over the unmoving billionaire. "Is he breathing?" Izuku asked.
The dread and fear were brought back again, Ibara's, Izuku's, and Kirishima's joy quickly turning to ashes.
Thor ripped out Stark's face plate and tossed it away. Seeing his eyes closed, Rogers pressed his ear to his chest. Finding no heartbeat, Izuku stared at Katsuki's still body, his eyes and mouth closed. Cap, Thor, and Hulk stood around Iron Man's limp form, the first sighing sadly and Thor took a solemn silence.
Suddenly, Hulk roared loudly, Stark gasping awake. Rogers's eyes widened, Hulk roared again, pounding his chest victoriously.
"YES!" A final cheer of elation sounded again, for the final time. Ibara's dread and fear finally faded away and starting praying to the Lord for 'Bringing back her soon-to-be-beloved back from the grasp of Death'. Setsuna rolled her eyes but smiled for Ibara.
All Might sighed and slumped in his seat, relieved that it was all over and Bakugou was alright. He got up in time to catch sight of Eraser sitting up straight as well, and by evidence of Mic and Midnight cracking teasing smiles, Toshinori concluded that Eraser must have done the same as him. The former pro grinned at his fellow teacher's care for their student, and decided to not tease his colleague. Though Midnight and Mic did not give Aizawa the same courtesy.
"Yay! Uncle Kacchan is okay!" Eri cheered in joy.
"Yes, he is, Eri! Yes, he is!" Izuku grabbed Eri by her waist and lifted her up, much to her enjoyment, imitating Iron Man's flying. Izuku chuckled and looked to Bakugou. The teen was being praised and congratulated for his plan, and for not dying. Bakugou, while unhappy at the hugs that his squad was giving him, especially from Kaminari and Kirishima's tight one, the angry Pomeranian simmered down and just let it happen.
Bakugou noticed Deku looking at him and looked back. The two stared at each other silently for a moment. Izuku then smiled brightly at him. Bakugou was for a moment taken back, but scoffed and looked away just as quickly. Though, everyone could clearly see the smirk that he failed to hide.
Especially after Izuku dropped Eri down to the ground and the little girl ran up and hugged her 'Uncle Kacchan' tightly. That smirk became even wider when he saw Ibara tearfully looking at him.
"What the hell?" Katsuki cursed, his chest piece lighting back up. Thor looked down on the alive hero, smirking.
"What just happened?" Stark asked, looking around in a panic. "Please tell me nobody kissed me."
"Thankfully, not." Izuku muttered, relieved that he didn't try CPR, the imagined awkwardness between him and Kacchan would be immense.
Bakugou was likewise glad that no CPR was given to him. 'Though,' Bakugou sneaked a glance at Ibara, who was blushing at something Setsuna said. 'I...wouldn't mind a reward like that from her.'
Meanwhile, with Setsuna and Ibara, the former whispered in Ibara's ear, saying "I bet you wish you were there to do that, or give 'Katsuki' a kiss as a reward, right?"
Ibara's resulting blush looked like she was half a shade a way from exploding like nuke herself.
Izuku sighed in relief and looked around. "We won." He revealed.
"Yep, that we did, Deku." Uraraka said, looking to Deku and raising her open palm, Midoriya responding in call and high-fiving her.
Stark sighed in relief too. "Alright, yay!" Stark lowly exclaimed and groaned out, barely raising his arms in victory as he continued laying down. "Hurray. Good job, guys. Let's just not come in tomorrow. Let's just take a day."
"I think after this they deserve a whole month off." Mina joked.
"Nonsense, Mina!" Iida exclaimed, arms chopping at supersonic speeds. "No matter the circumstances, a Hero's time off from duty should only be as long as the required recovery process! Any exorbitant amount of time afterwards is unacceptable and shameful!"
"Guy can't take a joke, can he?" Itsuka asked Momo.
"That's Iida for you." Was Momo's reply.
"Have you ever tried shawarma?" Stark asked the three, Rogers breaking out a chuckle. "There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is, but I want to try it."
"Shawarma?" Amajiki questioned.
"Oh, Suneater, I am ashamed as a mentor that I never taken you to eat Shawarma!" Fat Gum despaired, dramatically. "Its this delicious Arab dish where they cut all kind of meat like beef, chicken, turkey, and they wrap it around bread and roast it on a spit." Fat Gum brought his fingers to his lips and kissed them. "Delicious."
"So...a taco?" Nejire questioned, innocently.
Fat Gum looked a mix of mock and actually offended. "Hado, I assure it is not just a 'taco'." Fat Gum replied, putting up air quotes. "It's roasted on a spit and rotated to be just crispy and with deliciously marinated meats."
"No offense, Fat Gum, but that just sounds like a roasted taco." Kirishima nervously chuckled.
"We're not finished yet." Thor pointed out, Rogers and Stark looking at him.
"And then shawarma after." Stark continued the joke/suggestion.
As Fat Gum was trying to express how shawarma was different, Nezu mentally wrote down a reminder to ask Lunch Rush to prepare them some shawarma for tomorrow's lunch.
Loki groaned as he crawled up the steps in the penthouse, trying to lift himself up. Groaning, he stopped and looked behind him, the iconic music playing again, and looked at those who stood above him. The Avengers stood over Loki. Iron Man on the far right, his helmet removed, Captain America and Thor in the middle, the former still without his helm, Hulk towering over them in the back, Black Widow, at the far left, with his Scepter and Hawkeye kneeling down, with an arrow pointed right at his face.
The students would be excused by the teachers and adults for many of them beginning to fanboy and fangirl out.
"They look so cool!" Kouta gazed upon the Hero group with awe bordering on reverence.
"Manly!" Kirishima and Tetsutetsu declared for the umpteenth time.
Of course, none of them fanboyed harder than the Green Bean himself, who looked to be vibrating, writing down on his notebook with blinding speeds and unsettling precision, given his starry eyes were practically glued to the screen. The sight was both unsettling and fond for the guys as it was a creepily adorable one for many of the girls.
Freezing slightly at the sight, Loki looked back to Stark. "If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now." Loki said in defeat.
Monoma felt that after all that his counterpart subjected others to, and being multiverse-ally related to him, that he should be the one in need of drink. A strong one at that.
A shot of New York City and Central Park was shown. "Despite the devastation of what has been confirmed as an extraterrestrial attack," A reporter was shown in a monitor along with other news footage of cleanup crews cleaning up the battle and civilians mourning the lost lives and praising the heroes. "The extraordinary heroics of the group known as the Avengers has been to many a cause of not only for comfort, but for celebration."
Said Avengers counterparts were smiling and taking in the smiles and praise from the civilians humbly. Though some among the group lowered their heads in silence for the lives lost in the battle.
Shinsou smiled upon seeing the memorabilia and merchandise relating to himself, or rather his counterpart, a warm feeling rising in his chest at finally having people see him like a Hero instead someone with a Villain-like Quirk. While it wasn't truly for him, Shinsou hoped for the same in is own world, where people can look at him at see a Hero.
"I-Its just really great knowing they're out there, you know." A civilian said in an interview with others, showing more images of paintings, memorabilia, merchandise, and clothing representing the Avengers. "That someone is watching over us."
Bakugou smirked at the sight of people getting the same beard style as his own counterpart, rubbing his chin and face, wondering if perhaps he should follow in his counterpart's footsteps. 'The extra hair could lead to more heat and sweat creation.' Katsuki thought.
Seeing him rubbing his chin, Ibara shivered in fear and momentary disgust, plans already brewing in her head to deny/dissuade Bakugou from gaining a beard or goatee. 'It might looked nice on Stark, but I can't picture My Katsuki with that style.' Ibara thought.
"I love you Thor!" Another civilian jumped into interview to say.
All Might smirked happily, seeing the civilians safe and the memories of civilians in his own world smiling at him with awe and reverence. He smiled more humbly when he remembered that he still received those smiles today in his skinny form.
"And these guys were like Pew Pew! And then the air goes POOOF! And this green guy walks up and he goes Raawwrr!" A little kid enthusiastically mimicked the battle and the Hulk.
Jurota smiled, pushing up his glasses, feeling proud in his other self, including the Hulk, for saving this little boy's life and for the boy to find him heroic.
"I don't know." Another civilian said with a woman beside him. "I don't exactly feel safer with those things out there."
"It just seems that there's a lot they're not telling us." The woman then spoke up.
"Fair." Hawks muttered and shrugged. "If I was one of them, I wouldn't exactly feel peachy knowing there are world-invading aliens out there."
"Where in times of catastrophe might rise the fires of hope, there will always be the lingering shadows of fear and paranoia." Edgeshot sagely said.
Endeavor frowned, thinking how true that statement was for them today. Though All Might defeated All For One for the, hopefully, final time and left the Villains, momentarily, leaderless, the repercussions of All Might's retirement and the struggling adjustment of Endeavor as the new leader for the Heroes were still being felt and worsening. Endeavor was no stranger to the constant criticism news channels spoke of him, being unable to compare him with All Might, Hawk's words and rumors of fearful whispers of the Nomus, which were only greatened after the powerful one that attacked him, and with the rising criminal activity, personal attacks against him and his family like from Ending, Hawk's omens and warnings of war with the Meta Liberation, Endeavor hoped that those fires of hope Edgeshot talked about may truly come to light, and soon.
"Superheroes in New York? Give me a break." The same old man from the other movies appeared and said.
"Okay this is the 5th goddamn time that we have seen this exact same old man." Ojiro threw his hands up in the air. "Are we just going to see him in ever single video?"
"I guess-wait didn't we already say this before?" Shoda questioned at the Deja vu.
"These so-called 'Heroes' have to be held responsible for the destruction done to this city." The New York Senator said. "This was their fight. Where are they now?"
"Woah woah woah, how is that fair?!" Setsuna yelled. "They didn't want for New York to be invaded or for so much destruction to happen, that was Loki's fault."
"In the aftermath of disaster, the rage and pain of the many seek a scapegoat to assign the blame, by whoever they feel is responsible, whether fair, true, or neither." Kuroiro replied, wisely.
"Tough questions are being asked about the Avengers themselves. Their sudden appearance and equally sudden disappearance-" A reporter continued as the Avengers in civilian attire, except for Thor, and with Loki held in chains and a muzzle.
"What, this is all somehow their fault?" A woman's voice spoke up, the next scene showing that it was the blonde waitress from before. "Captain America saved my life."
Izuku smiled happily, knowing she was safe and, for once, proud of himself and his counterpart.
The woman smiled thankfully. "Wherever he is, and wherever any of them are, I would just...I would want to say thank you." She continued.
'You're welcome.' Bakugou and Shinsou both thought.
'We thank you for speaking up for us.' Was what Uraraka and Jurota thought.
'Your safety is what matters most, miss.' All Might thought.
'It was nothing, miss.' Deku thought and smiled. 'Because that's what Heroes do.'
F.R.I.D.A.Y., aware of what the six were thinking, chuckled to herself. She found Midoriya's reaction to be rather amusing, given who the woman's counterpart was and how Midoriya would meet and save her in the future. F.R.I.D.A.Y. believed that her counterpart was a tall girl with a fox mutant Quirk by the name of Ms. Josei Ippan, or at least that is what her records Master Zayden gave her says.
"Where are the Avengers?" One of the Council members asked, the screen panning out to reveal Aizawa speaking to the Council.
Middle fingers were raised and pointed again towards the Council members. While the nuke ultimately proved beneficial in destroying the Chitauri through the portal, they knew that wasn't their intention.
"I'm not currently tracking their whereabouts." Aizawa answered, arms crossed before them. "I'd say they've earned a leave of absence."
'My thoughts exactly.' Aizawa thought.
"And the Tesseract?" The Councilwoman asked.
"The Tesseract is where it belongs." Aizawa replied, showing David Selvig holding a cylindrical device, Katsuki Stark and Bruce Banner revealing and placing the Tesseract into the container. "Out of our reach."
"Agreed." David and Power Loader both said with nods.
"That's not your call." The lead Councilman said.
"I didn't make it." Aizawa retorted. "I just didn't argue with the god that did."
"So you let him take it and the war criminal, Loki, who should be answering for his crimes" The Councilman summarized, showing Thor taking the device and patting David's arm gratefully and Loki muzzled and cuffed.
All Might looked to Aizawa and gave him an appreciative nod and smile. Aizawa simply replied with his own nod.
"Oh, I think he will be." Aizawa replied, Ochaco and Barton standing in front of Loki, Ochaco whispering something to Hitoshi, who smiled smugly.
Monoma expected to hear jabs and glares, especially from Uraraka and Shinsou and Class 1-A. He was surprised to find a gentle hand on his shoulder, Shinsou's hand. Monoma looked at the man he brainwashed in this other world give him a smile, eyes conveying that whatever occurred between them there meant nothing here. He looked down to see the message in Uraraka's eyes and smile.
Monoma shivered, attempting to hold back tears, but one escaped and leaked down his face as he smiled in grateful reply.
Thor looked to his brother, lifting the device with the Tesseract. Loki looked to his brother and silently gripped the vertical handle while Thor held the horizontal one at the other end. Thor looked to his friends and nodded in thanks before twisting his handle, the two gods and the Tesseract glowing in blue energy before vanishing in a blue light.
All Might smiled and looked to Monoma who smiled back at him sadly. 'We are coming home, brother.' All Might thought.
"I don't think you understand what you've started, letting the Avengers loose on this world." The Councilwoman warned, Izuku Rogers and Katsuki Stark shaking hands in amends, Ochaco Romanoff grabbing and giving Bruce Banner a bag he took with a smile, and Hitoshi Barton and Ochaco getting into a black car and driving off. "They're dangerous."
'That we are.' The Avengers counterparts thought, smirking and grinning.
"They surely are, and the whole world knows it." Aizawa said, practically smirking, Stark and Banner hopping into a fancy car and driving off too. "Every world knows it." Aizawa repeated, looking to the Council members.
"Was that the point of all this?" The Councilman asked. "A statement?"
Izuku Rogers rode off on his motorcycle, smirking. "A promise." Aizawa corrected.
Izuku and All Might smirked, too.
Aizawa turned off the monitors and walked out of the room, now walking with Kayama on the bridge. "Sir, how does it work now?" Nemuri Kayama asked. "They've gone their separate ways. Some, pretty extremely far. If we get into a situation like this again, what happens then?"
"They'll come back." Shouta Aizawa stated plainly.
"Are you really sure about that?" Nemuri asked again.
"I am." Shouta nodded.
"Why?" Kayama asked finally.
"Because we'll need them to." Aizawa answered finally, staring out into the vast sky below him.
'And we will.' Izuku thought, looking to not only his fellow Avengers counterparts, but everyone, from the Hero students, to the Pros, to even the Support gear inventors. Izuku looked down to Eri, who smiled at him brightly. Izuku smiled back. 'All of us.'
With some doubts still plain to see on her face, Kayama accepted her boss's answer and walked back while Aizawa continued staring out.
The triumphant music continued playing as a flexible console was rolled open. A file opened up to reveal multiple plans before one was selected. Ibara Shiozaki rose her hand and lifted the holographic designs of Stark Tower while Katsuki Stark drank beside her, an arm around her side. The two inspected the designs, while the screen paned slowly away, until they both swept the designs away, looked at each other and kissed.
The girls cooed once more, with Ibara and Bakugou both blushing madly, yet still smiling, pleased.
The screen paned out of the penthouse, looking at Stark Tower and the one remaining letter on the building: A.
"Its the Avenger's A!" Pony pointed out.
"Ah! Clever. Very clever." Setsuna grinned and nodded.
The credits rolled out, the Avengers theme playing as the credits appeared beside, over, and on several gear and items that represented the Avengers such as the Iron Man helmet and arc reactor, Captain America's mask and shield, The Hulk's broken glasses and torn shirt, Thor's armor and Mjolnir, Black Widow's insignia and Widow Bites, and Hawkeye's bow and quiver, and even a pistol for Director Aizawa.
"Oh man, its finally over!" Kaminari sighed, relieved. "That movie was a roller coaster!"
"I know man! It was so awesome!" Kirishima exclaimed. "My favorite one yet!"
"Shame you weren't there to help, man." Tetsutetsu patted Kirishima's shoulder.
"Oh yeah!" Mina perked up. "Kirishima also had an Iron Man suit, that War Machine one. Why didn't you help them, Kiri?"
"Hey! Don't start shaming Shitty Hair just because he didn't show up!" Bakugou roared back. "Kirishima could have just not been near New York or had the suit ready to go help! Lay off him!"
Kirishima smiled, grateful and touched. "Thanks, Bakubro." Kirishima said, sincerely.
"Your thanks isn't needed, Shitty Hair!" Bakugou scoffed and looked away. "I just find whiny comments like that annoying as Hell!"
Mina flinched guiltily. "He's right." Mina grumbled, guilty. "Sorry, Kiri."
"Hey, hey, hey, no need to apologize, Mina." Kirishima waved at her to stop. "You were just curious, Mina, that's all. I didn't feel offended or anything."
While Kirishima, with the added, asked help of Izuku, working on calming Mina down before she started crying, Ibara looked down at Bakugou with a wide smile, proud for standing up for his innocent friend against criticism.
The credits finished with a look over Stark's glowing chest piece that flashed bright blue before it turned into a moon.
"Oh wait, guys, its another post-credit scene!" Mirio yelled out and got everybody to quit their conversations with each other to pay attention.
The screen paned over across space, passing by the remains of asteroids and dead Chitauri, till it landed on a singular platform with the black cloaked alien and the throne and its unknown occupant.
"Wait, They're alive?!" Hagakure exclaimed.
"But how?" Momo questioned, wide-eyed and incredibly alarmed. "The dead Chitauri are evidence that they were where the nuke exploded and created that supernova-like event. How are they alive?"
"Force field?" Kyouka suggested.
"Or maybe those two, or maybe just the one in the throne, is powerful enough to withstand a nuclear explosion and its station exploding." Melissa replied, likewise alarmed by their survival.
"Humans." The Other growled out, the screen moving closer to the Other kneeling before the throne and its master. "They are not the cowering wretches we were promised. They stand. They are unruly, and therefore cannot be ruled."
The throne' occupant pressed his purple hands onto the armrest of the throne and stood up, the back of his head had turned away from the screen and audience, only showing his golden armor and helmet.
Izuku suddenly shivered, uneasy feeling welling up in him.
The Other quickly bowed his head in reverence. "To challenge them" He continued. "Is to court...Death."
The mysterious master turned for half of his face to be shown. Purple, his chin large and wrinkled, his eyes blazing indigo with amusement and excitement. He smiled in delight.
A massive surge of uneasiness sprung out and invaded the minds of the audience. Eri and Kouta whimpered and shivered in horror of the what they could only describe as a Monster before them.
The ones who felt the most uneasy however were seven individuals.
All Might's eyes widen exponentially in complete horror and realization. 'Those eyes...' All Might gasped in thought. While different in color, the emotions and evil they showed was all too familiar. 'That smile...' The smile was all too recognizable, the same smile that taunted him in their final clash and his nightmares.
'This presence...' The other six individuals of Izuku, Todoroki, Momo, Iida, Kirishima, and Bakugou thought, their eyes widening to the size of dinner plates. The first five suddenly felt the same survival instinct to not breathe as before, their self-made vision of their bloody, dead bodies sprung again from their minds. Bakugou remembered his capture from the League of Villains, his recapture after his initial rescue, and standing face to face before Him.
Izuku recalled his vision from within the Vestige World, the Origin of One For All and the one who created the Quirk himself. He gripped his rapidly-beating heart desperately, his eyes open wide in terror, rage, and denial, emotions he felt weren't all entirely his own.
'It couldn't be...?!' Both Izuku and All Might thought, before...
"MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART DETECTED!" F.R.I.D.A.Y. announced, pulling up three images alongside the purple alien's smiling face. "THANOS! MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART: ERROR ERROR! RESTRICTED INFORMATION! CALIBRATING!" There in the screen pulled up three images, all different, but each no doubt His smiling visage. "MULTIVERSAL COUNTERPART: ALL FOR ONE!"
The screen cut to black.
The scene left the group in silence.
Kirishima felt sweat roll of his body, just like back then, when he formed and lead four of his friends to help rescue Bakugou on their own. They instead found All For One's warehouse and hid in complete terror when the monstrous Villain annihilated the Heroes sent there, in an instant. He cowered in fear, his life and a hallucination of death flashing before his eyes. He recalled how every fiber of his being was screaming at him to run away as quietly as possible, but only Bakugou appearing and the drive to save him kept the unnatural redhead from continuing on and ultimately saving Bakugou. Kirishima felt it was one of his biggest trials against fear and cowardice he had ever faced, to go against a man-no-a monster that could end his life with a Single Snap of his fingers. Looking at the purple alien smiling at him, Kirishima felt he had found anther monster just as, if not more terrifying than All For One or the cloaked giant from before U.A.
Momo and Iida shook in their seats, shivering at the memory of the sheer fear and terror they felt when they encountered the King of the Villain Underworld. Iida recalled how the five of the Bakugou Hero Rescue Squad, including Todoroki, all held their breath desperately, in fear that a single sharp breath or exhale would alert the Villain to their direction and end their lives. He recalled how when Todoroki made the ramp of ice, when he, Midoriya, and Kirishima rocked upwards to get Bakugou, Iida saw the a glimpse of All For One, almost cutting off the power in his engines from pure fear, his very presence suffocating, exactly how he felt now with the sight of this purple alien Villain by the name of Thanos.
Momo never saw All For One like Iida, but the Villain Underworld King left a presence that made her think of him as if he were Death itself, the Grim Reaper in the flesh. She remembered how when All For One appeared and defeated all those Heroes in an instant, how Momo held onto her breath for dear life. In her mind, at the time and afterwards in her dreams, saw a daydream or rather nightmarish vision of her, Izuku, Todoroki, Iida, and Kirishima laying down in pools of their own blood, what she feared would have happened if the Villain had spotted or heard them. She recalled how desperate she was to grab onto Deku's shoulder, only to have grabbed onto Kirishima by mistake. And while she felt it was selfish of her to think so, she felt a guilty sense of relief that she wouldn't have to face to monster herself. Now seeing this purple alien, she couldn't help but see a Harbinger of Death in front of her, the same as All For One. In her terror, she didn't miss the rather ironic sense of this Thanos's name, being similar to that of Thanatos, the Greek god of Death, himself.
Todoroki had never been one to be afraid ever since his mother poured boiling water over the left side of his face. The fear he had for his fathered back then was drowned in his anger and fury. All For One rekindled in his mind what true fear was. The fear of Death. And the monster that was All For One felt to him an agent of it. His very voice brought him a hallucination of drenched in blood, dead on the ground alongside his friends. Todoroki never thought that he would see a more horrifying sign of death to him than his Own death, his counterpart Shoto Barnes, and the near death of Izuku. Seeing this purple alien in gold with that sinister smile disproved him.
Bakugou felt his hands shake as they gripped his seat. He remembered the his capture from the League of Villains, the voice that spoke to Shigaraki through the T.V., black liquid shooting out of his mouth, warping him away from All Might and in the middle of a crater full of rubble and fallen Heroes...and Him. All Might's greatest arch nemesis in his black tux, his black helmet that made him look like Death, his mocking voice that was filled with dark humor only pure evil could portray. Bakugou remembered fighting for his life against all of the League, save the unconscious Dabi and Kurogiri, while All Might clashed with the main boss and how he sent the unstoppable Symbol of Peace flying like a ragdoll. Whenever he thought back on him, Bakugou would shiver in anger and fear, the Villain who pulled the strings of League of Villains, who orchestrated his kidnapping which led to All Might's retirement, a heavy source of anger and shame to the blonde. Knowing the truth about All For One and One For All later didn't help much with Bakugou's anger, and finding out that his own counterpart was the mastermind behind this whole invasion that he nearly died from only served to make Bakugou shake in anger.
Izuku looked at the three images of All For One shown. The one in the middle was All For One in his black mask, the one he wore against his battle with All Might, one he still saw in his nightmares reaching out towards him to steal One For All, and to bring Death and Destruction onto everyone he held dear, just like in that hallucination when he hid from him. Seeing how the alien's name was Thanos, a shortened version of the name Thanatos, Deku could see the horrifying similarities. The one on the bottom was the man behind the mask, his face scarred and wrinkled, his eyes missing like he was blinded, his head scarred and bald, and his smile wide, sinister, and evil, the smile looking very similar to this Thanos's smile. The one on the top gave him pause out of sheer shock and horror. Where his head was bald now held a mop of short, spiky, and messy white hair, his eyes were still unseen, this time obscured by shadows with only faintest of his red eyes peeking out from shadows, and finally wisps of black, red highlighted smoke hissing out of his body. It was the All For One he saw in his dream! The Dream where he saw the creation of One For All!
'H-H-H-How?!' Deku thought, almost paralyzed in fear of how it was showing an image of All For One from his dreams. He felt a mixture of emotions swirl inside him and he knew it belonged to the Vestiges of One For All. Deku could feel their anger, their sheer hatred, but he also felt...sadness and regret? 'The First?' Deku assumed whom he was sensing such emotions from, concluding that only All For One's very own little brother possible feel sadness and regret for the 200 year old Villain.
All Might's eyes were wide in absolute horror...then narrowed and blazed with a fire of untold anger. His anger only magnified with each passing thought. His Master Shimura's death. All For One's laugh as he gouged out his stomach before All Might squashed his head and gouged, in return, AFO's eyes, eyes that now stared at him through his own counterpart in Thanos. All For One mockingly revealing Shigaraki's true identity as his Master's grandson, Tenko Shimura. Mocking his master's smile with his own that flashed at him now by Thanos. Toshinori's hatred then grew to new heights at the knowledge that it was Him that found Loki, his brother from another world, took him in, brainwashed and likely tortured His brother, and then sent him out to cause all this madness and war, including Hizashi's death and David's brainwashing.
The students and adults around them were quick to join them in their terror and anger. Endeavor and Edgeshot remembered as they fought against this monster with All Might at Kamino, barely doing anything against him as he dodged and blew them away with ease. Gran Torino seethed and growled in hatred as he bared witness again to the monster that murdered Shimura. Mount Lady shook with pure fear at the monster that annihilated her, Best Jeanist, and the rest of their team with one attack when they raided his warehouse full of Nomus. Tiger and Pussy Cats growled in pure hatred at the man who stole Ragdoll's Quirk, while Ragdoll herself whimpered and shook in fear at the sight of the man, and the overwhelming pain of losing her Quirk to him. The students were shivering in fear at All For One's very smile and truce faces, both old and new, remembering the Kamino Incident from the T.V. and the horror and destruction this one monster of a man caused. Eri and Kouta practically clung onto Deku like a lifeline.
The screen came back to life again. The Avengers, still dirtied and injured from the Battle of New York, were sitting silently around a table in a restaurant, eating shawarma while two of the workers cleaned up the mess from the battle. Bruce nodded his head, liking the food, Thor and Stark looking at his reaction. The scene ended with Ochaco and Thor lifting another shawarma, cutting to black as Thor took a bite.
The light moment of levity and comedy in that scene brought some light and humor back into the audience, shaking out of their terror of the Villain, for the moment, to chuckle.
"Is that actually Shawarma?" Kaminari asked.
"Y-Yep sure is kid!" Fat Gum said, shaking free of his stupor. "Guess they did go and eat Shawarma after the apprehending Loki."
"Sorry Fat, but that still looks like a taco." Nejire giggled.
The students started chuckling as they saw Fat bring some more levity by ranting on all the deliciousness and differences of Shawarma to Tacos.
Finally, after some stretches and quick clean up, Nezu declared "Alright students, honored guest, thank you for returning to witness these videos again. My apologies if this ran a little longer due to witnessing a extra video. For now, let us retire for the night, and resume tomorrow."
With Nezu's speech, the gym was quickly cleared and the audience going their separate ways. As the students left the gym, Deku looked back to see All Might. The two nodded, knowing that All For One and his counterpart was a discussion for another time, but for now, All Might went towards the U.A. building with Aizawa, Nezu, and Gran Torino, while Deku went with the students, occasionally throwing a glance towards Setsuna.
Suddenly, Deku felt a hand tug on his shirt to see that it was Eri. "What is it, Eri?" Deku asked.
"Papa, I am confused and have questions about something." Eri revealed, her eyes wide and puppy-dog-like. "C-Can we talk for a moment?"
AAAAAAAANNNNNNNNDDDDDDD SCENE! Phew, finally, Avengers and Phase 1 is Over!...And now we head into Phase 2 with two of my least favorite MCU movies...*sigh*. But anyways, LATE HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYBODY! And Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day too!
Anyways, I hope you guys loved the chapter and this finale to the Avengers. Again, to my surge of AO3 followers migrating here after the unfortunate circumstance, AO3 will now be exclusive FFN, for now, and, for those who don't know, updates to the story can be notified to you if you leave a review and follow the story.
As for the story, now with Avengers over, the next chapter will be an interlude chapter focusing on plot and character developments of the story and will not be a reaction. But in the chapter afterwards, we will be diving into Phase 2 with Iron Man 3 and later Thor the Dark World. I know, I know, not the best two movies of the MCU and definitely not pleasing to watch back to back, but these two movies, as explained before, are necessary for the greater story of the MCU, especially Thor: the Dark World.
Now getting into the Multiverse Counterpart explanations, hear me out on my choice for good old Thanos before you start spamming 'Its should have been Overhaul or Nine' comments. My reasoning for All For One and Thanos should be pretty clear upon the character's reactions, if the fact that both AFO and Thanos are the main big bads of My Hero Academia and the Infinity Saga weren't clear enough. All For One is a terrifying and powerful force, who's first appearance in his suit and mask literally caused the Bakugou Rescue Squad to have hallucinations of their deaths and AFO's mask definitely looks like the face or mask the Grim Reaper would have, while Thanos is literally named after the Greek god of Death and who's comic counterpart fell in love and wished to impress Lady Death herself. All For One can do practically anything with his thousands of Quirks he obtained and single-handedly took out Best Jeanist, Mount Lady, Tiger, and Gang Orca, two of which were part of the Top 10 Heroes of Japan, like they were flies, and Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet, could do pretty much anything, even with just four he took on Iron Man, Spider-Man, all of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Sorcerer Supreme himself and won in the end, and it helps that he was only defeated with all 6 and then later killed by Thor who's counterpart is All Might.
The two are imposing, powerful, and intelligent masterminds, All For One plotting and planning things out and predicted many of what was to come after his incarceration, his escape from prison, and predicting Deku going rogue and out on his own and hiring assassins to capture him, and break him, either physically and/or emotionally, like with Lady Nagant. Meanwhile, Thanos didn't start his quest for the Infinity Stones until all of them, or at least the means to get them, were in his reach and powerful foes like Hela, Odin, and Ego were out of commission, he predicted that Gamora, his key to the Soul Stone's location and later obtainment, would come to Knowhere to face him after the news of Xandar's decimation and his obtainment of the Power and Space Stones reached her, and predicted and foresaw the destruction of his planet and many others, which now we know thanks to Eternals was because of the Celestials. Both of their motivations were seen as genuine at first until they went full evil mode, like All For One disguising his original intent being to give the powerless power to defend themselves and free those pained by their new Quirks in the Dawn of Quirks before revealing him to just want to be an all-powerful evil demon king, and where Thanos wanted to save all life by only cutting the universe's population by half, which came from a mad, yet understandable place, but then in Endgame decided to just destroy the whole universe and remake it in his image.
Both are also manipulative and cunning without remorse. One manipulated Tenko Shimura into becoming Shigaraki and using him as a tool to become an All For One puppet and (SPOILERS) manipulated Aoyama to be his mole by threatening his parents, while Thanos manipulated Gamora into revealing the Soul Stone's location by torturing Nebula, and then later sacrificed Gamora, and torturing, brainwashing, and manipulating Loki into conquering Earth to get the Space Stone. And just as All For One got his revenge on Lady Nagant for betraying him by blowing her up, Thanos similarly gotten even with Loki by snapping his neck. Plus, the two are very tall, large, and powerful men with bald heads and rather hideous faces, like All For One's potato face and Thanos's, as Quill put it, nut-sack of a chin. Plus they are both just terrible adopted fathers, and if All For One is Midoriya's dad, then both are also horrible biological dads, since Thanos has a kid himself in the comics named Thane, who tried to kill him and then he later destroyed him back.
And while Overhaul and Eri have a similar relationship to that of Thanos, Gamora, and Nebula, All For One did the same with Shigaraki and Kurogiri, experimenting on them and turning them into lethal weapons, Nebula mostly. And I can go on and on about why this feels like the right choice, but I have already made my case on this hill and I will on die on this hill.
But with that said and done, I hope you all liked this chapter and let's hope this story continues on for as long as it can. Next time will be the interlude chapter. What will talk about with Izuku? What is All Might going to talk about with Nezu, Eraserhead, and Gran Torino? And what will happen with Setsuna and Melissa as they are invited to meet with the rest of the girls? Find out next time, and until then comment your thoughts in the reviews, stay safe and healthy in these trying times, check out my other stories if want, and keep being awesome my loyal readers.
Oh and before I go, I have an important question to ask: Should I end this story on the interlude chapter and then make a new, sequel story focusing on the Phase 2 movies? I ask this questioning which option is safest for his story to continue: to risk putting all the reaction in this one story or to spread them out into three stories with this one being Phase 1, the next story to be Phase 2, and then Phase 3 with another story? Leave my your thoughts and I will decide which path to go proceed by the next chapter.
Until then, I am Zayden StormVoid and I'll catch you guys later! Up, up, and Away!
