Two short HTTYD Hicstrid drabbles I came up with watching soldier homecoming videos for memorial day. So this is my tribute to it. One story with two chapters but each chapter is for a different HTTYD verse. Chap 1 is modern au, chap 2 is regular verse. Basically the summary is the Hiccup is a soldier and leaves for duty leaving a worried Astrid behind. You get the picture. Enjoy!

After two years of dating, Hiccup Haddock and Astrid Hofferson decide to take their next relationship to the next level. When people start getting suspicious, the two young lovers come up with a cover story. However, by accident, Stoick learns the truth and end up arranging for them to marry. Afterward; Stoick tells the teens he knew, and it remains their secret forever.

Wanting to protect the people he cared for, Harrison Haddock joins the Arc Isle Military Forces; Army Branch after bonding with his Night Fury, Toothless. Despite the dangers of war, Harrison finds love&starts a family until tragedy strikes. Harrison struggles to cope with all the ups and downs, can his friends and family help him feel like himself again? HiccupXOC Pairing!

After being cast out and becoming friends with a Night Fury, it's two years later and Hiccup returns to Berk for revenge for how he was treated. Unable to fight against his allies and dragon army, they submit under Hiccup's rule. To flee an arranged marriage, Hiccup fakes his death and leaves Berk with Toothless. Time passes and he joins the raids as Drake Riddari. In desperation, daughters are offered to win his favor but all rejected except one who is saved from being abused. Hunter was given a second chance to turn his life around after 3 years of utter hell and falling into bad habits and doing illegal things. To expunge his record, he only has to graduate without being arrested again. He moves to Berk to try and start over-but he struggles to keep his past behind him. Can a girl as broken as him heal his heart, and in turn, he heals hers?

After he shows her the truth about dragons, and she learns of being forced into an arranged marriage-Hiccup and Astrid leave Berk with their dragons. Forging a future together on their own sounds great but anything easy when the past catches up with them and they are forced to return to the place it began. Can they bring something new, or will the old remain? Rated M!

Modern HTTYD: Fresh off breakups when they met at the bar, get wasted, and had sex. What happens when Astrid realizes that she slept with the lead singer of her favorite band, and ends up pregnant? They try to make it work but a jealous ex interferes and tears them apart. How far is Hiccup willing to go and give up to get back the love of his life and have their family?

HTTYD Modern Military AU! Sick of being told that his life was going nowhere and he was a nobody, seventeen year old Hector Haddock the Third joins the Archipelago Islands Military-Berk Army division without telling anyone. All he leaves is a note to his family saying not to worry. Time passes as he returns, shocking everyone-but there is more to it than what they see. Rated M!

Modern HTTYD Military AU. Hayden 'Hiccup' Haddock signed up for the Barbaric Archipelago Army at 16 to prove to himself and everyone else that he wasn't useless and could do great things despite his size. Six years later, Lieutenant Colonel Haddock returns to Berk a changed man and war hero. But at what cost, has the price been too high? Rated M for various reasons.

When Hiccup stumbles on an object of his mother's, he realizes that it's a link to the past he's never known. Having enough of his mother's neglect, Hiccup leaves with Toothless to find who he is and ends up on Berk where they start anew and where he learns that everything his mother ever told him was a lie. Including that Berk was his home and his father is chief of the island.

After meeting Toothless and learning the truth about dragons, Hiccup felt he had no choice but to leave. The only one who knows is Astrid, who Hiccup promised to one day return too. Ten years can change a lot, including people. When Berk becomes desperate, they request help from the Dragon Conqueror. How do they react when he turns out to be the heir they thought they lost?

MODERN AU! Hunter Haddock disappeared 2 years ago, but now he's back and different than he used to be. His friends start getting suspicious about his recent behavior and actions. Just what happened that summer? Why did he vanish without a trace? Secrets are revealed! Will things work out for him or will be it just be him and his hope? Idea from Supersandman86!

Refusing to live by his father's rules any longer, Hiccup exiles himself from the tribe, the island, and being the heir. He leaves with his best friend, Toothless and is only known by one person who Hiccup trusts. Years later with a new life, love, and family now. Can Hiccup recover after his past catches up with him and things take a turn for the worst when enemies resurface?

MODERN AU! Hiccup is depressed. Astrid goes by Angel for the hotline she works for. When Hiccup calls wanting to kill himself, he calls himself Ryder. Ashamed to tell who he really is. Angel becomes his voice of reason. When Astrid discovers that Ryder is Hiccup, how long can she help him over the phone before she has to tell him who she really is after he tries to end his life.

Modern HTTYD AU! After meeting a guy she believed was amazing, she drops out of high school to be with him. Allison Hofferson soon finds out that it was a huge mistake when he turns out to be abusive. She goes home, only to end up pregnant and kicked out again. Now on her own, will an old friend from the past become so much more and turn hers and her son's lives around? Enjoy! :)

Modern HTTYD! Toothless is the new student at Berkian Academy, having been adopted in to the Fury family. Toothless meets Hiccup who becomes his first friend there. What happens when things change because Toothless develops a crush on Hiccup who happens to of just lost his parents? Will the two make it through all the challenges thrown their way and end up together and be happy? :)
