Even after her promise to not mess with time, Max did not hesitate for a moment to fight against fate once more, grappling against destiny with nothing but her tiny, human hands. My attempt to avoid contradicting canon as much as possible while providing a better ending. Everybody Lives! T for violence/Injury.

Chloe has seen many things throughout her police career; but when she kicks open the door, there's a scene splayed out in front of her that she's never seen before. Something about Max's desperate cries for help made her want to dedicate her entire life to this case. But will they ever bring justice?

Max had gone through hell and back for Chloe. And she would do it again, even if it means sacrificing another town and allowing more people to die.
