Hi everyone! Hope you had a good Christmas and if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you had a good holiday season. This is first ever fanfic so sorry if there are any mistakes.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters in Genshin Impact or RWBY.

Chapter 1: Magnus Opus

Albedo looks down to see a familiar sword run straight through his heart. The Festering Desire…the sword that he had gifted to the Traveler. Forged from Durin's tenacious life force. It seemed to beat like a heart as the alchemist's blood coated the exterior of the blade. Fitting that this is the weapon to end him.

The Kreideprinz looked back to see Lumine's face…her expression seemed…distraught; tears were streaming down her face and Dragonspine's harsh winds had blown her golden hair over her eyes. Despite the pain Albedo smiled and spoke.

"Thank you Traveler … I knew I could trust in you."

Just uttering those words had drained Albedo of his remaining life force causing him to drop to his knees as Lumine quickly pulled Festering Desire from Albedo's chest."I'm sorry Mother…that I could not discover…the truth…" thought the alchemist as he looked up into Dragonspine's dark and cloudy sky. Albedo let out his last breath, consciousness drifted away and the fresh snow began to fall atop the melancholy mountain.

A bright light forced Albedo's eyes to open. He observed his surroundings which seemed to be some sort of city in the sky. Albedo's teal eyes meticulously examined the pristine white arches and walkways with golden highlights. Kreideprinz could feel the divine energy that flowed out from every corner of the city. Though, strangely enough, Albedo was the only living being that could be seen. Albedo then touched the center of his collar to find that his geo vision remained.

"Fascinating, I have knowledge of an afterlife from my visit to Liyue… I was able to explore the realm of the departed with assistance from the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Though where I am now seems to be the complete antithesis of the place I visited." Thought Albedo.

Kreideprinz attempted to use his geo vision to bring forth a flower. He felt the surge of celestial power course through his being, typical of what vision holders usually feel when tapping into their ambition; However, nothing came into existence. Albedo quickly discarded the notion at another attempt and decided to use Khemia, the lost art of Khaenri'ah, to change the flawless stone that he stood on. Nothing. The genius reasoned that because he had no knowledge of what he was trying to change alchemy was of no use. The only way forward was to walk, concluded Kreideprinz.

Albedo walked for what seemed an eternity, and most interestingly, the scenery never seemed to be the exact same as when he arrived. The alchemist had to admit, this place was starting to get on his nerves. He was used to discarding things whenever boredom had overtaken him. Until finally he reached a magnificent double door. This door followed the same design as the surrounding structure, that is to say immaculate masonry with golden highlights. Albedo observed that the door did not actually seem to lead anywhere.

"In design it seems similar to the domain entrances that are scattered around Teyvat. However, this door is much smaller in size… I can sense that the divine presence emanating from it is much more concentrated than the surrounding architecture." Mused the Kreideprinz.

With no other option, Albedo pushed open the door and was immediately engulfed in a blinding light.

"One more push Mrs. Schnee!" encouraged a nurse. Willow Schnee, the matriarch of the most esteemed family in Remnant, lay on a king sized bed inside of a large, but mostly empty and dim, room. Aside from the bed, the only detail of note were the medical instruments that surrounded Willow and a five year old girl who waited nervously on an ornate yet uncomfortable chair. Of course, Willow's husband was nowhere to be seen. The only source of light came from a high chandelier that exuded a small glow that just seemed just enough to see clearly.

Two cries sounded out through the Schnee Manor halls. Doctors and nurses hurriedly attended to the newborns and Willow Schnee, who had just collapsed onto the bed from the strains of childbirth.

"Mrs. Schnee, what will you name your son and daughter?" a doctor asks. Willow turned to look at her children; who lay in each of her arms wrapped in a warm cloth. One had snow white hair and to be quite honest looked exactly how a newborn Schnee should. The other had tuffs of ashy light brown hair, no doubt a trait from Jacques thought Willow. "I think Wiess is a good name for my daughter" ... "Winter? What do you think is a good name for your little brother?"

Winter hurriedly jumped from her seat and rushed to her mother's side. "I don't know…but his eyes kind of remind me of how pure the sky looks on a clear day." Said the little Schnee. "Pure…hmmm…how about Albedo then?' Replied Willow. "Yes, Wiess and Albedo, welcome to the world."

Albedo P.O.V

"I'm alive?...this feeling…it feels like the moment Rhinedottr created me…but it's warmer, more natural…what an odd sensation. I can't seem to see clearly, but I think I see a woman. I believe I heard her call me 'son'? It appears that I was reborn…but where? I suppose the question to be asking is how…I think I also see another body across from me…perhaps a sibling?"

Hope you enjoyed! I plan on writing the next chapter soon. I am just debating on whether Albedo is able to the use the Schnee glyphs.
