Marineford, Navy Headquarters

"Ahhhh… BORINGG!" is how the day of 19-year-old Monkey D. Luffy goes. Ever since his Ceremony of becoming an admiral of Navy, His travels got very less and Paper works got more. Not that he does them anyway.

His promotion to a marine admiral is quite different from others. He didn't work for years to get to this position, rather he did so much work in his 8 years' service at Navy has gotten him this position Along with his sworn brothers – Admiral Portgas D. Ace and Admiral Sabo. Though the two brothers are well known in outside world, Luffy's position and his achievements are kept really secretive, known only to high-ranking officers and Five elders. His achievements were primarily based on his works in CP9 and more stealthy missions. He enjoyed them, but he also wanted to go out and enjoy the sea.

He was eagerly waiting to turn 18. When he worked with CP9, he was known by the name "Scarlet demon" Due to his signature red mask. It has been announced to the world that there are 3 new admirals, But Luffy's name wasn't announced to public. Instead, he was announced by his epithet to the world. It has been a rumor for a long time on who could be behind the name "Scarlet demon". Luffy made a deal with Fleet admiral Sengoku that once he turns 18, he would be allowed to go on voyages and would be allowed to publicly announce him as an admiral.

Luffy requested Sengoku for a 6-month break, before he gets officially announced/revealed as an Admiral. He wanted to visit East blue and go for a Patrol around east blue while he is there.

"Seennnngoku-sannnn, please let me go alone for 6-months, I don't want so many guys around me while I visit east blue. You know I am strong enough to protect myself. " Luffy whined.

"I know you are strong, but you are very irresponsible when it comes to other stuff." Sengoku replied.

"But I have gotten my basics on Navigation and Cooking. I could manage myself. Also, while I am in east blue, I could recruit some promising members and make a crew for myself" Luffy said.

"Ughhhh... Alright fine. But you have to report to headquarters often and don't forget 'DO NOT GET INTO TROUBLE' ". Sengoku said.

Luffy gulped and nodded. "Thank you senku-sann".

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL THAT DAMN BRAT" Sengoku yelled.

East blue, Fusha village

"I assume you will be on your own from here sir" A marine commander said.

"Yess... Thank you for dropping me here. If I need anything ill request from nearest marine base." Luffy replied.

'Ah, it's been so long since I went to Makino Chan's bar. Let me go and see her. I also gotta pay for my enormous meals back when I was 7. Shishishi'

Luffy requested a captain's coat since he is not announced to the public as an admiral yet. Luffy removed his Admiral Coat and kept it under the bed in a small boat provided to him.

Makino's bar

Luffy entered the bar and sat on one of the bar stools. Makino couldn't recognize who that was. But She could guess it was a marine due to the captain's coat.

"Welcome sir, what can I make for you?" Makino asked.

"Orange juice"

'Orange juice? I thought he would drink some sake' Makino thought.

"Don't you recognize me Makino-Chan?" Luffy asked.

Makino observed his face closely. "Lu-Luffy?" She couldn't believe it. She saw Luffy when he was 7 years old before Garp took them to marine HQ for training. She had tears in her eyes. She jumped and hugged him tightly.

"Shishishi, it's been a long time since I saw you Makino-Chan, how are you?" Luffy asked.

Makino broke the hug and replied, "I am fine Luffy, how are you? You look so strong now. "

"Yep, I'm fine. I've been wanting to come to east blue for a long time but I wasn't allowed to go out till I was 18" Luffy replied.

"So, how long will you be staying here?"

"Probably not for long, I have to go and patrol East blue, then return to HQ for the public announcement of me becoming an Admiral." Luffy said.

"Ad-Admiral? You're an admiral?"

"Shishishi, yep"

"Looks like you have surpassed your grandpa in ranks" Makino said.

They both talked for a while. Catching up on stuff and talking about Ace and Sabo. Then someone very unlucky decided to enter the bar.

"Ohh, looks like we are the only customers now apart from that Marine boy" Said Higuma the bandit. Makino looked him with concern but Luffy continued drinking his 3rd glass of orange juice (He doesn't want to drink sake yet).

"Don't worry, we are not here to cause trouble. We just want 10 Barrels of Sake and we will be on our way out" Bandit said.

"Oh, I am so sorry sir, we are fresh out of sake, we only have 2 bottles now" Makino said.

"Ohh? Then what is that boy drinking? Juice?" Bandit asked. (They kinda look the same color…. Right? Or just assume Bandit is color blind.)

"Yes" Makino replied.

Bandit felt slightly Insulted and embarrassed. He drew his sword out and broke the sake bottles in anger, Spilling it all over the floor. Luffy was watching this calmly.

"You know, when you see a high-ranking marine officer sitting in the bar, you should run back to where you came from immediately." Luffy said

"Ohh, what could a brat like you do to me? I am Higuma and I have a bounty of 8 million belis. You should be afraid of me"

'Ohh he is one of that type. Well 8 million belis. That should be enough to pay off Makino-Chan's debt' Luffy thought.

Without replying anything, Luffy used Conqueror's Haki and made all the bandits faint. Only Higuruma was conscious and was panting kneeing on the floor.

"Wh-what did you do?" Higuma asked.

"None of your concern. Higuma the bandit. You are under arrest for Disturbing innocent people and creating nuisance"

Luffy punched him the face and Higuma went flying into the wall and became unconscious. Luffy took his den-den Mushi from his pocket and called a number.

"Hello commander, did you set sail from Dawn Island?"

"No sir, we are stocking up now. Is there something I could help you with?"

"I have subdued Higuma the bandit in Makino's bar in Fusha village. He has a bounty of 8 million belis. Could you come here and take him? Also give the bounty to the bar owner" Luffy said.

"Yes sir, Ill arrest him and give the bounty to owner."

"Thank you, commander." Luffy ended the call and tied the bandits with a rope.

"Ill be going now Makino-chan. I have to finish patrolling east blue and get to HQ" Luffy said.

"Ohh. Couldn't you stay a bit longer.? You were here only for 2 hours" Makino said.

"I am sorry Makino-chan. Ill visit you some other time" Luffy said.

"Ok Luffy, take care of yourself and be careful"

"Sure Makino-chan. You too take care"

Luffy set sail in his small boat which had a Cabin stocked with food for 3 days (Based on normal people's appetite.)
