Hey, everybody. Here we go. The sequel to "A Different Quell" begins!

So, to explain why this is a crossover instead of just a Hunger Games fanfiction. Originally, it was meant to just be Hunger Games. But, I have a love of writing crossovers, and as I was thinking up the plot, I had the idea to base one of the main characters off a Marvel character. Now, that, at the moment, is the only part of this that will really be based off of Marvel. I hope you don't mind that I'm making it a crossover. And I hope you like what I do with it.

Now, this, as the story summary says, takes place sixteen years after the end of the last story. I will be doing first person POV from both Willow and Katniss' POV, and I'll generally specify whose POV I'm writing in, though it will usually be obvious.

Also, FYI, if you haven't read the first story, A Different Quell, you need to go read that first. It's not a crossover. it's a normal Hunger Games fanfiction. You can go onto my profile and find it.

Let's get to it.

Chapter 1

I watch across the lake, taking in the setting sun. I've been in the woods for several hours now, and have already managed to get a few rabbits and collect some wild strawberries. I decided to stop here at the lake just to watch the water as it reflects the changing colors in the sky.

"I can't believe Mom hasn't come out here as much the last few years. It's so beautiful out here," I whisper to myself.

Right then, I hear something. I slowly turn my head and see some wild turkeys walking up towards the lake. I smile as I shift my position so that I'm less visible, and slowly draw an arrow from my quiver. I draw the arrow back, aim it carefully at one of the turkeys, and release it. The arrow hits the turkey right in the head, killing it instantly. I smile as I walk over to the dead turkey as the other turkeys run away. I remove the arrow and clean it off before I sling the turkey over my back. The two rabbits I scored today are hanging from my belt.

I make my way back over to my spot to collect the container of strawberries. I place my bow on my back before I pick up the strawberries. I look back up at the sky and look at where the sun is. It has to be nearing seven by now. I need to get home. I don't want to miss dinner tonight.

I love the woods. I don't spend quite as much time in the woods as my mom did when she was my age, because there's not as much need for me to hunt, as we can easily afford enough food, and I admittedly have more friends than my mom did at my age. However, I love the peace and tranquility of the woods, and it feels good to practice with my bow. I'm about as good as my mother was at my age, even though I've had a little less practice. And thanks to dad having me exercise with me, I'm also fast and one of the strongest girls in the district for my age.

I slowly make my way back to the fence and climb through the gap. Since that Head Peacekeeper Thread was transferred back out of 12 when I was 2, the fence has gone back to being electrified only a portion of the time. Our Head Peacekeeper now is still strict, but much more relaxed than Thread.

Once I get through the fence, I make my way back home to the Victor's Village. I try to keep out of view, as it's still not the best idea to flaunt my catch in the Peacekeepers faces, even though the Peacekeepers in 12 now are like the ones from when my mom was my age, and actually buy from those of us who hunt.

As I walk through the front door, I call out, "Mom! I'm home!"

A few moments later, my mom appears from the kitchen and smiles at me. "How was your hunt, honey?" she asks.

"Pretty good. Two rabbits, a turkey, and plenty of strawberries," I say.

My mom smiles and says, "Take them into the kitchen and give 'em to your dad."

"Okay," I say simply before heading to the kitchen.

(Katniss POV)

I smile as I watch Willow walk into the kitchen with her catch for the day. It makes me feel happy to see her take after me so much. Even though she looks more like Peeta than me, everyone who knows her says she's a clone of me in almost every other way, although some people tease me that she's a bit more sensitive and open than I was at her age.

When Willow first asked me to teach her how to use a bow when she was 11, I was hesitant, because I didn't want her life to be affected by violence. However, after lots of pleading, I agreed. And she was born to it. Over the last two or so years, she's actually spent more time in the woods than me.

"Mom!" I turn around and see my son, Robin, come walking in. He looks at me and asks, "I can't find my math book. Have you seen it?"

"I think I saw it in the kitchen," I say.

'Thanks," he responds simply before he walks into the kitchen.

I smile after him. Despite the threat of Snow hanging over us, life has been good the last sixteen years.

When we came back to District 12, I threw myself into being a mother to distract myself from the threat of Snow. And I loved it. I loved being able to raise Willow. I spent so much time taking care of Willow I started going into the woods less and less.

Peeta had brought up the possibility of more children when Willow as six. At the time, I said no, because I wasn't sure about having more kids, nor was I eager to go through the trauma I endured through my pregnancy with Willow and her birth, even though I knew exactly the Quell was the source of that trauma. But, when Willow turned 3, I realized how much I missed having a baby in the house. So, I finally agreed to have another child, and nine months later, Robin was born.

My pregnancy with him was much easier, as was his birth. I fell in love with him the moment I first saw him. And it became clear throughout his early years that he was what some people called a "momma's boy".

Unlike his sister, Robin resembles me in almost every way. The only thing about him that bears resemblance to Peeta is his blue eyes that are the exact same shade as Peeta's. However, while Willow is like me in almost every way, Robin is just like Peeta in almost every way.

Robin is another reason Willow asked me to teach her how to hunt. From the time she was little, she has always been fiercely protective of her little brother. I still chuckle whenever I hear her say out loud that she is territorial over him, and no girl will ever good enough for him. When she was 11, she told me she wanted to keep Robin as far from a life of violence, so she told me she wanted me to teach her how to hunt so he didn't have to. While I have taught Robin some tricks in the woods, I've never taught him how to shoot.

I loved having two kids. For the longest time, I debated over whether or not I should have another. For the longest time, I was satisfied with two. But, eventually I felt like I should have at least one more. And, I got more than I bargained for, I reflect on as I feel a kick inside my stomach, and look down at it stomach and rub it. My stomach is huge, far bigger than it ever was with Willow or Robin, enough that my mom thinks I'm having twins. I'm currently about 35 weeks, and I'm very ready to meet the baby, or babies as the case may be.

As I'm standing there, gently rubbing my stomach, I feel arms wrap around me from behind, and I smile. I turn around and look right into Peeta's face. After 16 years, he's more handsome than ever.

"I love you," I whisper and lean in for a kiss. It's a little awkward, as many of our kisses are these days. My belly is so big by this point that we can't just face each other and kiss.

"I love you, too," Peeta whispers back at me.

Right then, there's a knock on the door. Peeta smiles and says, "And our guests are here." He then walks over to the door and opens it.

As he opens the door, two little kids stampede into the house, followed by a third, older than the first two, chasing after them and yelling, "Come back here, you two! You need to behave in Aunt Katniss' house!"

I smile as Prim walks in, laughing at the sight of her children. "Still as rambunctious as ever?" I ask my sister.

"Always," Prim says, walking up and giving me as good a hug as she can.

As we separate, I smile as her husband walks in. "Good to see you, Rory," I say.

"You as well," Rory says with a smile as he walks up and takes Prim's hand.

I smile at the two of them. Prim and Rory are the cutest couple I've ever seen. Prim confessed to me when she was 14 that she had a crush on Rory. I suspected that Rory reciprocated those feelings, but I didn't know for sure. That is, until 2 years later when I walked to my mom and Prim's house, and found her and Rory kissing in the living room. I was happy for them, but threatened Rory that if he hurt my sister in any way, I wouldn't hesitate to murder him.

Needless to say, Rory never came close to hurting my sister. He always treated her as a queen, and when they were 18, he proposed. They were married shortly after her 19th birthday. They lived with my mom in the other house, and now have their 3 kids as well, a daughter named Lily who's 9, a son named Oliver who's 6, and a daughter named Azalea who's 4. They're definitely rambunctious kids, but they're the sweetest kids ever. And they adore their older cousins.

"Well, why don't you guys come on into the kitchen? Dinner's ready," Peeta says.

"Yes! Let's eat!" Rory says, and we all laugh before walking into the kitchen.

As dinner gets underway, I look around the table at my family, and smile. This…this is what happiness feels like.

And, I'll end the chapter there. Hope you liked that one.

I hope this first chapter turned out alright. So, Willow is now approaching her 16th birthday, and she's not an only child. Hope you like the name Robin. I also hope you like that I paired Prim with Rory. I've noticed any fanfics that pair Prim with anyone generally pair her with Rory, so I decided to go with it.

Obviously, we have a lot more characters who have 16 years of history we have to catch up on. I'll try and catch you guys up on everybody over the next few chapters.

So, next chapter is where the story will really start to get exciting, as well as when the character based on a Marvel character will make his debut. I'll try and have it up tomorrow. Until then, leave a review, and stay tuned!
