Hello, all! I've got a story for you! I just recently watched as far as Hulu will let me and let me tell you that as a person who disliked superheroes (DC/Marvel), I can't believe how much I liked the series. I literally put it on for background noise and Oh. My. Gosh. Saying that I was on the edge of my seat during the whole thing is an understatement. Anyway, I have never been one that liked Bakugo's character profile/personality but I find myself favoring him over the others! Crazy, right?! I had a thought though: Bakugo has Kirishima as his closest and Deku as his main rival…what if there was someone else? I don't own rights to MHA!

Preview: "What the hell?!" He flinched back from the window as the raven that had been staring at him through the curtains flew towards the crack that was between the panes and successfully entered the room. "Hey! Get out of here, you feathered flying piece of-" His eyes widened as it morphed until a girl clad in a plain black hospital gown fell in a heap against the wall beside his bed with a sob. Hands shaking, he slowly crossed the space until he was inches from making contact with her sweat covered being and felt a muscle in his neck strain when he found her covered in wounds. "Fucking hell…"

"And why the hell would I do that?!"

"Come on, Kaachan, everyone has to pick a partner for the project!"

A blonde stomped his way through the UA dorm, bag and jacket both shed the moment he'd entered the building. His temper, known throughout the campus and hero world, was especially short today. During class he'd been even more unattached than normal then whenever he was called upon by a teacher or asked a question by one of his classmates he either responded by setting off sparks in the palms of his hands with a scoff or complete explosion of attitude that somehow hadn't earned him detention. "Shut up, nerd!" He called over his shoulder, refusing to turn around even when the forest haired youth attempted to catch up with him. "Everybody's got their own little niche so why even bother? You're obviously gonna be with Round Face so just quit beatin' 'round the bush and just do it!" One of his hands rose to rake through his light hued hair as sputters sounded from behind. "Gah, I swear, it's like you're in second grade, Deku! Grow a fucking pair already!"

A hand lashed out, taking hold of his wrist that caused his blood to boil as it forced him to stop walking and turn in their direction. Without even looking he knew it was the red haired classmate who had the quirk that was known as "hardening". "Dude, chill." Kirishima tightened his hold when the blonde scoffed. "What the heck is going on with you today?"

"Leave me the fuck alone."

"Are you feeling ill?"

"No one asked for your damn opinion, IcyHot!" Bakugo seethed, shooting a glare at the duo haired Todoroki who spoke from his place next to the banister.

Mina, the pink curly haired female, quirked then smirked. "Maybe he's lovesick finally. Whose the lucky girl?"

Anger radiated from his gaze as he locked on her from over his shoulder. "Do you wish to die?!"

"Maybe he's worried about that big test coming up, ribbit." A girl with long hair and wide eyes croaked, quickly taking shelter behind Mina when faced with his scorching glare.

"If you're that worried about it, we can have another study session at my house." Momo offered, her hands instantly rising when the aura around the blonde intensified. "O-or not!"

"What the hell is up with you people?! It's none of your fucking businesses!" Wrenching free of his grip, the young man continued the trek towards his room.

"Hold on just a moment!" Tenya, their elected class representative, who spoke up this time and remained outwardly unfazed when that blazing gaze of twin infernos fell on him. It was clear to everyone though that he too was affected when his stiff hand rose to adjust his glasses that were honed on the quick tempered youth. "It's your turn to cook dinner tonight. Do not forget, Bakugo!"

"I heard ya the first fucking time this morning, Four Eyes, now all of you lame asses leave me the hell alone!" Without breaking stride, the blonde explosionist merely grunted then disappeared behind his bedroom door with a slam, uncaring of the disapproving and concerned looks that the class shared with one another. He fell onto the bed with a huff after tossing the bag and jacket towards the closet, the tightness within his muscles and sparking of his nerves that has been constant for the whole day causing his being to twitch every few seconds. The idea of sparring was quickly dismissed, it wouldn't help him one bit, and instead shifted while pulling out the phone from his pocket with a flick of his wrist and pressed the button that would bring up the gallery. Beeps filled the air that corresponded with each press until silence rang like a bell when the picture of two children filled the screen.

They weren't older than four at the time that his mom had taken it. Heck, he hadn't even known about it until his high school graduation when she sent it to him out of the blue to tell him that the reason the navy haired girl in the photo hadn't really moved away like they had suspected. In the picture they were smiling at one another; her lips raised into a radiant sun-like smile while his was the wide goofy but confident grin as he stood victorious over the sorry-looking sandcastle that he'd defended from the sand villains.

"Damnit," he grumbled, shifting onto his side that was facing away from the door so that his stare rose from the photo to the window. "You'd fit in better here than me. Everyone is so fucking pushy and touchy that it's annoying."

Even as the words left his mouth the image of her shaking her head filled his mind as if to disagree.

"Yeah, well, guess there's nothing I can do about it now since you're…" The screen of his cell dimmed then went dark as he fell into silence for several minutes. "…you know…"

Outside the sunset was staining the horizon with ruby red clouds that were accompanied by fluffy looking lavender that gave way to the coming navy of night. The humidity in the air had told him that a storm was coming, making him antsy all day on top of whatever this was that caused his skin to itch, sitting up with a huff as the sounds of his classmates came from below. Any minute now they would come barreling through his door in demands of food.

Might as well go and get it over with.

A knock sounded as he rose to his feet while slipping the device into its designated pocket, his brow twitching as he marched across the carpet to wrench it open to find every classmate on the other side and felt heat fill his face when the girls in particular asked in unison if he was alright. "Get the fuck away from me door! All of ya!" He blew past the crowd, slamming the door behind him so hard that the walls shook, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he began stomping his way to the kitchen. Carpet gave way to cold tile beneath his sock covered feet after a few strides. "Bunch of loud long nosed gossip sniffing hyenas! I'll make your damn dinner so you'll get off my fucking back already!"

"Kaachan-"

"What?!" He whirled on the freckled boy who had appeared beside the kitchen counter, palms meeting the granite surface with loud impacts that sent flares of pain up his arms which were ignored when their gazes met. "What the hell do you want, Deku?!"

Izuku Midoriya, the inheritor of One for All, tilted his head to the side as his expression became full of concern while taking a seat at the bar. "You can talk to me if you need to get something off your chest."

"And why the hell would I talk to you, you damn nerd?!" With a huff, he grabbed the nearby apron off the hook and furiously tied it around himself as he turned his back. "Just go wait in the dining area like the others."

The freckled boy was surprised at how soft the last sentence had come out. He'd known Kaachan ever since they were children, knowing full well just how the blonde was as expressive as he was competitive, so for him to use such a tone was very unlike the once be bully. "Sure you don't want any help?"

"Get the hell out of here so I can cook in peace!" He practically roared, earning the boy to quickly disappear with a shrieked apology, a shadow falling over his face as he turned to face the stove. "Damnit all…" Red eyes clenched shut for several seconds then opened as he steeled his spine.

Better to get this over with so he could go back to his room.

"Hey, Bakugo?"

"What the hell do you want now?! The blonde whirled again, expecting to find the same classmate as before or the red haired one, but bristled when instead he found a female student with short bob-styled brown hair. "And what the hell do you want, Round Face?" he grumbled, turning back to the workspace he'd begun to prep. Why the fuck can't anyone leave me alone, he inwardly cursed while averting his gaze from her to focus upon the vegetables he tossed into the sink as the faucet turned on, and why the hell do you gotta remind me so much of her? With a shake, of his head, he tossed the greens a bit then turned off the water with a twist of the knob. "Can't you see I'm fucking busy?"

She hummed softly. "Just curious as to what you're making."

"Something extra spicy, duh."

"Ew, you know that not all of us want to nurse our flaming tongues and mouths for the next week, right?"

"Chef's choice, Round Face, so suck it." Heat flooded his being when she giggled, using her quirk of zero gravity to levitate then seat herself on the counter few feet away from where he was working. "Oi oi oi! Counter's are for cookin' food not cushion for a tooshie!" He bristled visibly when she giggled. "Shut up and get lost!"

For a moment it seemed that she pondered getting down but then scooted backwards so that her back met the wall. "Think I'll stay here."

The vein in his forehead twitched, signaling that it was beginning to grow in size as the tendon in his jaw grew tight. "Don't push me, Round Face, you may just find yourself faced with a nuclear explosion!"

"Oooh, scary." She stuck out her tongue playfully but was sent wailing into the next room as he took the opportunity to stuff one of the peppers he'd selected between her lips.

"Don't say I didn't warn ya!" He howled with laughter, careful to not touch his eyes directly with the finger's he'd just used. Even though he'd kept them a safe distance from his eyes, a tear still somehow managed to squeeze out from the corner of the left that was quickly brushed away by the swipe of his arm. Damnit, keep it together! What are you, a fucking crybaby like Deku?! With a huff, he straightened his shoulder and buried himself within the work ahead of him.

True to his threat dinner had been a buffet of near apocalyptic nuclear level spiced up dishes ranging from sushi to curry and Western dishes such as burritos and chili. He had filled up a plate of his personal favorites and had disappeared back into his room before anyone had a chance to complain or ask if this was some sort of revenge. The door was locked, the sky outside had long since darkened, a flip of a switch turning on the bedside lamp that cast the room in a pale yellow light as he settled at the desk with a huff. It took a bit longer than normal for him to make supper, what with his vigorous knife dicing and shaking of the spices that will probably earn him an earful in the morning, but the output of the condensed energy left him feeling just a little better.

It wasn't long before the room was saturated with the scent of the ignored plate of food but it wasn't enough to earn his gaze as he stared out the window. "You couldn't handle that much either." He grumbled, crossing his arms while leaning backwards so the chair balanced on its hind legs. "So sensitive and timid that you would start crying the second anyone even brought up peppers. I thought you were such a baby back then until my mom shoved a whole bottle of Tabasco sauce, Sriracha, and plopped a big blob of wasabi on my tongue did I understand." The shadow appeared over his eyes once more as a twitch appeared in his lip. "It was just supposed to be a joke…" The plate was shoved away as he drug a hand down his face as the memory of that fateful day rose. "How was I supposed to know that my quirk would activate…"

"C'mon, don't be such a baby! Eat it!" He took firm hold of her shoulder when she shook her head and tried to move away. "It ain't gonna kill you or nothin'! It's really good!" Tears were falling down her cheeks but the smile on her face led me to believe she was just trying to get me to stop even as she bit her lips closed to prevent my fingers from parting them. The pepper he was holding was bright red against her olive skin as she puckered in attempts to angle her face away from him that only succeeded in the tip of it pressing against her clenched teeth. "Just open up already-" They were rocketed apart as an explosion erupted between them. Sirens wailed in the distance as he slowly sat up, eyes widening with horror as the place where she'd just been had become a crater with an unconscious figure who looked as though someone had shoved them into an oven. Screams joined the sirens, hands pulling him away from the scene as medics arrived but there was no sign of her parents in the crowd that had gathered.

"…they didn't have to tell me that I was responsible for killing you. I knew it the second I saw you lying in that crater yet they still had the fucking nerve to lie and say that you moved away to find a better hospital." The chair fell with a thump so that all four legs were back on the floor as he he rose to his feet to stand in front of the window. It slid open with a flick of the latch and swipe of his hand, stealthily moving through the pane and climbing the side of the building until he reached the rooftop where he took a stable stance.

Stars were barely visible thanks to the coming storm, the humidity making the breeze feel heavy against his being as his hand rose to the sky, sparks appearing within its palm despite the heavy condensation that was threatening to prevent his quirk from activating. The clouds above his head were beginning to form a thunderhead that promised a doozy of a storm that just might cancel classes tomorrow. No doubt his classmate that had the electrical quirk was feeling a bit overcharged due to the forking lightning that had inched closer to the dorms.

The shadow on his face gave way to reveal moisture filled eyes that blinked furiously to prevent the salty droplets from falling. "Your favorite thing to do was look at the stupid stars, though I never could understand why you would sit on the roof for hours just staring up at them as if they were the greatest thing in the fucking world." His arms rose so that both palms were upwards. "Can't see a single damn one with all these clouds. Let's fix that!"

From his palms exploded twin pillars of flame that rose high up into the dark sky. The sheer heat from them caused the clouds to billow then fold in on themselves, creating a near vortex like eye of a hurricane or tornado that revealed the glittering stars that had been hidden. There, in the very center, shone a star that had twelve points that seemed to shine brighter than the diamond his mom bragged about on her ring finger. Unbeknownst to him, the class of 1-A had heard the footsteps on the roof and rushed outside to see who was crazy enough to venture atop of the building, risking the wrath of their teacher and charge Aizawa, to find themselves rooted in awe as the coming storm was fended off by the explosions of their classmate who stood upon the roof's apex as if he were some legendary being who had stemmed off a threat to the planet.

"There." He croaked around the ball of tangled emotions within his throat as he plopped down on the roof's shingles completely ignoring the bites of pain that erupted across his skin. "Now you can see them all you want…" A fierce bite was given to his bottom lip when it quivered as the image of her that had appeared beside him gazed up in wonderment. "D-don't think I like you or nothin', ya hear? I'm just being nice cause it's your birthday."

She turned towards him, lips rising into that smile that warmed his insides, and rested her head against his shoulder as he sniffled.

Hope to see you next time!
