A Star system in Republic Space.
The Resolute was doing a patrol along the borders of Separatist space and Republic space. Anakin was bored out of his mind, he would rather be on the frontlines than patrolling an area where Separatist rarely use, if at all. He attempted to mediate to pass the time, but to no avail as his restlessness prevented him from clearing his mind. He hasn't heard from his Master Obi-wan in a few days which is understandable due to him being on frontlines. "You're a lucky man, master." Anakin thought. When Anakin stood up the whole ship shook, causing alarms to go throughout the ship to go off. Anakin went out of his quarters to see clone troopers running around to get to their battle stations. Anakin grabbed the closest clone to him and asked "Clone, do you know what is happening?" All the clone could say was "No general, I'm afraid that you'll have to ask the Admiral for that." So Anakin ran to the Bridge.
Coruscant, Jedi Council Room
Grand Master Yoda, Master Mace Windu, Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, and other Masters had come together for a very important meeting: What Anakin had discovered. After a few minutes Anakin showed up on the holo-comm. "Hello Masters, the reason why I requested for a meeting is because it is very important" Mace interjected "Does this have to do anything with the war Skywalker?" The Knight answered "No, but I have a feeling this is just as important to the war, it might even help us win it!" As expected this caught the attention of all the council. Yoda stated "Knight Skywalker please speak of what you have found." Skywalker continued "Well master while my fleet was doing a routine patrol by the borders of Separatist space, everything was proceeding as usual until alarms start going off, I ran to the bridge and went to talk to Admiral Yularen and he said that suddenly a wormhole opened in front of us and a small satellite came out-" Windu interrupted "Skywalker I don't see how a small satellite that came out of this wormhole can help us win the war much less why this is important enough to call for a council meeting." Anakin became frustrated that Windu not only continued to interrupt his explanation but also dismissed his report when he hadn't even gotten to the point for the meeting. Before Anakin could say anything Yoda said "Master Windu please let Knight Skywalker fully explain for you do not know" Windu showed a flash of annoyance and anger before going back to normal "...Very well " Anakin showed a slight smirk before continuing and showing the small Satellite that he was talking about. " As you can see this satellite looks like nothing that we have and it looks primitive. But I found something even more interesting than the satellite, if you look there is this golden disk with unknown symbols. I ordered an analyst to find out what it was. He came back with this." Sounds are all that they heard and it sounded something like animals. After a few minutes of animal sounds it switched abruptly to what sounded like languages that none of them understood until "Greetings to you, whoever you are; we have good will towards you and bring peace across space" Everyone expect Anakin was nonetheless shocked that someone out there is speaking Galactic Basic despite it coming from something so primitive. "That's not all masters" Anakin said "There was also a note that came with the disk, the language was hard to understand but after doing some translating it turns out it was the same language that you just heard now. We translated it to Galactic Basic so this is what it said:
This Voyager spacecraft was constructed by the United States of America. We are a community of 240 million human beings among the more than 4 billion who inhabit the planet Earth. We human beings are still divided into nation states, but these states are rapidly becoming a single global civilization.
We cast this message into the cosmos. It is likely to survive a billion years into our future, when our civilization is profoundly altered and the surface of the Earth may be vastly changed. Of the 200 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy, some–perhaps many–may have inhabited planets and space faring civilizations. If one such civilization intercepts Voyager and can understand these recorded contents, here is our message:
This is a present from a small distant world, a token of our sounds, our science, our images, our music, our thoughts, and our feelings. We are attempting to survive our time so we may live into yours. We hope someday, having solved the problems we face, to join a community of galactic civilizations. This record represents our hope and our determination, and our good will in a vast and awesome universe.
After hearing this message from these "Humans" from a planet that they called Earth, galactic history and Earth's history are now binded in a fate both sides would never expect.
