Here is a new story. Our fav couple start as teenagers in this story and then it goes from there. I know where I want to go with this so bear with me.

Mistakes are mine

"Wait… What did you say?" Alvez asked.

"I'm pregnant," Penelope whispered not even looking at him.

"You're pregnant? What do you mean you're pregnant?" Alvez asked obviously having a panic attack at the moment.

"As in I'm with child?" she said annoyed.

"No. You can't be pregnant. It was just that one time and I don't even remember much." He said defensively.

"It only takes one time," she huffed.

"Why the fuck did we do this?" Alvez asked more to himself and then looked at her stomach. "We're only 17, we're not ready to be parents."

"Don't you think I know that?" Penelope glared at him. "You think I want to have a kid with your immature ass?"

He glared at her. "This is your fault."

Her eyes widened. "How the fuck is it my fault? You're the one who couldn't hold on enough to pull out."

"Oh please Penelope you know I fucked you good. Made you come multiple times." He glared at her this time. "You were the one who said it was fine to have sex without protection."

"Oh, so you remember that, but you don't remember coming inside me. You're such an asshole." She almost yelled she was so frustrated.

"Of course, I remember coming inside you. It felt fucking good. What the fuck do you want me to do?" he asked frustrated as well.

She was seeing red. "Grow some fucking balls and take responsibility." She crossed her arms.

"Penelope we just graduated, I got accepted to one of the best colleges in the world. I start this summer. This is a mistake. I can't have a kid right now."

"Then you shouldn't have fucked me." She yelled as she started walking away from him.

"Hey, don't blame all of this on me." He yelled at her defensively and when she didn't say anything, he spoke. "Where are you going?" he asked.

"As far away from you as possible." She said without looking at him.

"Shit," Alvez said as he watched her walk away.

,,,,,,,,,,

Penelope had tears in her eyes. What the hell was she going to do? She never planned on going to college because she was going to build her own business, but she didn't plan on a kid either. In eight months, she was going to be a mother.

She was going to be a mother at 18.

What a Fucking High School Cliché.

,,,,,,,,,,

Alvez had packed his room and organized as much as he could in his childhood home so that his mother could use this room for something else. He brought the boxes and everything else he wasn't taking with him down to the basement. It had been two weeks since he had found out his best friend, (now ex best friend he figured) since she didn't want to talk to him anymore, told him he was going to be a dad at 18 years old. She was crazy if she thought he would drop everything for her just because they messed up big time. No way. He worked his butt off in high school so he could get into (and succeeded) to one of the best colleges in the world.

As he looked at the dorm online, he was going to stay his first year, he thought about her and their soon to be born baby. He didn't want to think about them, but his mind didn't listen to him. He wondered what their baby would look like when he or she was born. He wondered how his (ex) best friend would look when she would start showing. He wondered if she would have weird cravings, or a strong sexual drive or a normal relaxed pregnancy.

Shut up.

He has read some info on the situation he was in since he got the news.

He looked at the other types of dorms and noticed family ones that caught his eyes. Was he really considering growing a pair and taking them with him? Was he ready to be a dad at such a young age? Would she even agree on going with him? Would she even hear his idea on raising their unborn child together? He had to look for more information about this before even going to talk to her.

,,,,,,,,,

Penelope was getting dressed because she was going to meet a few colleagues for lunch and talk about a business opportunity when she heard a knock on her door. She turned around when she saw him walk into her room. She crossed her arms and glared at him. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"I came to talk about us and the baby," he said softly.

"There is no us." She spit back.

He sighed. "Will you hear me out?"

She was closed off but sat on her chair and waited for him to speak. "I don't have all night." She said rudely. She had missed him so much but at the same time she had been hurt when he told her he didn't want to be a dad and that this was a mistake.

"Right," he sighed. "Well I know you're mad at me for being such a dick, but you have to understand, you caught me off guard. I didn't expect this at all." He noticed she was going to speak but he cut her off. "These past three weeks I've been getting ready to go to college and as I did that, I couldn't help but think about you and our unborn child." He said with a small child.

Her eyes widened and whispered. "Luke."

Fuck she definitely didn't see that coming.

"Please let me finish. I started thinking that yes, we're young but so what? We've been best friends since I can remember and after everything we've been through, this would be just another challenge."

Tears started to form in her eyes.

"I called the school and asked if they had any available housing for families and they told me they had. If it's all right with you, would you consider coming with me? The school can help us while I study, and we wouldn't have to worry about a roof over our heads or starve to death."

Tears ran down her eyes as she listened to him speak.

"Pen I am so sorry that I freaked the fuck out but if you let me, I can take care of you and our baby." He smiled proudly.

She shook her head. "How? Your schedule is very hectic."

"I can cut down on some classes."

She interrupted him. "Then it'll take longer for you to graduate."

"It's worth it," he smiled.

She shook her head as more tears ran down her cheeks.

"Why are you crying? I thought you would like the idea." He frowned.

She sniffled. "I lost it."

"What?" he asked while his heart beat faster.

"I'm not pregnant anymore." She whispered.

"Oh my God Penny," he rushed to her and kneeled on the floor between her legs and hugged her tight. "I'm so sorry." He whispered against her ear and then looked at her broken soul and lightly kissed her lips. "I'm so sorry baby."

"I'm sorry too." She whispered as a sob escaped her lips.

"When did it happen? Are you okay?" he asked after pulling away from the hug.

"A couple of days ago." She said.

He had tears in his eyes and wiped hers away from her cheeks. "I'm so sorry Pen."

"Me too," she whispered not being able to look at him.

They were silent for a few seconds until he spoke.

"Penelope if you want… the offer still stands." He said softly.

Her teary eyes widened. "What?"

"You can still come with me."

She shook her head. "No. I think it will be better if you go alone and focus on school."

"Pen…"

"Please don't make this harder than it already is." She said with tears in her eyes and her lips barely trembling from holding back from crying. "Just go and focus on school. I'll be here when you come back."

"We'll still see each other, right?" he asked.

"Of course." She smiled but it didn't reach her eyes.

He sighed unsure but at the same time realized that she wouldn't change her mind at the moment.

One month later

Alvez started school and went head in and focused full throttle. The first semester he started with six classes two hour long each. At first it was a challenge for him, but he got used to it after a couple of months. During the times he was free, he tried to reach Penelope, but he would always get her voicemail, and his texts and emails always went unanswered. He figured she was probably upset after losing their baby so early in the pregnancy. In a way he felt responsible and guilty for being such an asshole and not being there for her when she needed him.

When his first semester was getting close to the end, he tried even harder to reach her but had no such luck. Two of his teachers had said that he had so much potential and that if he was as smart as they thought he was that he should continue his schooling through the summer. At first Alvez was hesitant but since he couldn't reach her at all, he decided to go for it. Summer school was a blast and he was proud of making that decision.

Before he started second year, he went to Penelope's parents' house looking for her. He was saddening and disappointed when her parents told him she was in Puerto Rico building her business. Don't get him wrong, he was happy she was doing what she loved but at the same time he couldn't see her.

When he started his second year, he still hadn't heard from her. He became worried and had to contact others through the grapevine and was disappointed when he learned she was avoiding him on purpose and didn't want to talk to him at all. So, after hearing that, he focused on his schooling even more. He was hurt but would never admit and decided to push her to the back of his mind and forget about her. The second year he took six classes as well but this time they were three hours long. Luckily, they were spread throughout the week. By the end, of his second year he met someone named Alice and they started dating that summer.

Alvez's third year, he had gotten an apartment only a block away from school and things looked serious between Alice and him. He felt that Alice was the one because even though they barely saw each other, due to his schedule, Alice always made sure to be available when he had free time unlike someone else, he used to know. He knew it wasn't fair to Alice, but it was that or nothing at all. When the third year was over, he once again took summer classes.

Fourth year, Alice moved in with him. They were serious even though Alvez always put school first. Alice understood. He made sure to always have good grades because that's how he kept his scholarships since that was the only way he could afford that school.

The first four years were good for Alvez, he was happy with the way things were going and he was ready to start his master's degree. That would take another four years and then his doctorate another four. He knew it wouldn't be easy but with Alice by his side he knew he could do anything.

Yet he would always have that special someone that got away in the back of his mind and the baby they lost.

,,,,,,,,,,,

Penelope had saved all of his emails and kept his texts but could never find the guts to talk to him. She tried but failed miserably. After she heard he was doing good and decided to go to summer school after the first year, she sighed in relief and focused on working hard on building her business. She knew it wasn't easy, but she had goals and dreams, so nothing was stopping her from making it happen.

Even though she worked hard and focused on helping other people change their lives, she always had in the back of her mind on the one she let go years ago.

Years passed and she had ups and down while building her successful business and she was now where she wanted to be. She was 35 years old and making more than $1,000,000 a year. She had a five-bedroom four-bathroom house by the beach she loved. She was also traveling due to her business as well. She was always invited to speak at different events and she always accepted because she was good at what she did. She was a motivational speaker.

,,,,,,,,,,

Alvez also 35 years old and Alice were happily married now for five years. They lived in the city on a luxurious penthouse. Alvez was a full-time lawyer making also more than 1,000,000 dollars a year and had made a name for himself. Everyone in the city knew who he was and knew not to mess with him. Alice was a teacher and was proud of both her work and her husband's work.

They had a routine and it worked for them very well.

Alvez was running late for work, when he heard the doorbell ring. Alice had already left for work so he hoped whoever it was would be quick. When he opened the door, he saw a young man who looked nervous. "Yes, how can I help you?"

"Um hi uh my name is Kaden and I believe you are my biological dad."

There you have it!
