So heres a note before I begin writing or you begin reading, I know that this Story will be based off of after Ash's adventure in the Alola region and that they're already making a new series but bear with me- My plan is to create new Pokemon as the Story goes on, I finished with the starter ones, as always Ash will have nothing but Pikachu when he comes to the Tokata region and Team Rocket (AKA Jessie, James and Meowth will only have Meowth and wobbuffet). There will also be a lot of OCs for this story- well you get the idea. I also do not own any characters that belong to the Pokemon series themselves, I only own my OCs and PokeOCs.
Another thing before we begin, I'll be posting this story on Wattpad as well.
Now Onto the story now!
Episode one: A whole new region!
Ash couldn't quite keep his excitement as he watched the trees pass in a blurr. "Oooh wow!" he pointed to a Pokèmon he didnt recognize, grinning when it waved as they pasted. It was a bipedal Pokemon, standing on two legs, looked like a wingless Charizard with longer arms and legs, and ice colored scales along with some kind of feathers on its forehead. "What Pokemon is that?" Ash pointed curiously, his partner, Pikachu jumped onto his head and peered at the Pokémon as they passed it. "Pika?"
"I don't know Ash" Professor Oak replied. "This is my first time being invited to this region, I'm as excited as you are!" he kept his eye on the road. Ash's mom smiled knowingly, she wasn't as excited as they were but coming to a new place always was like this, it was natural to her.
"Professor Oak where are we going?" Ash leaned forward to the front seat, grinning still. "And how come you brought us along again?" The Professor looked back at Ash and smiled.
"Well Ash, for one I thought I would need company and two" he looked forward. "I thought you'd like to come somewhere new, we are also heading up to Professor Griffin lab" Ash tilted his head to the side, and his Pokemon partner copied him. "Pika?"
"Ah looks like we've arrived in Maya Town" Oak mused after a moment of silence. Ash perked up at the remark, practically bouncing in his seat, Pikachu jumped off his shoulder and sat in the empty seat besides him, the town was a bit like his home in pallet town, except this was a lot bigger, and just as peaceful.
Ash immediately hopped out of the car, nearly tripping over a ditto. "Woah! They have Ditto's here too?" he avoided stepping on the Pokémon, Pikachu leapt onto his shoulder and waved at the other Pokèmon. "Pika!" "Ditto!" Ash smiled, looking over as the two adults got out of the car.
"Of course!" A man walked out of the building, frizzy brown hair and bright green eyes along with a bit of hair on his chin. "Howdy! Welcome to the Tokata region! My is is Griffin Armstrong- Or just Professor Griffin if you prefer" he did a 90 degree bow before standing straight, his accent sounded Texan, he held out his hand.
"Howdy to you too Professor Griffin!" Oak bowed as well, flinching when his back popped. "Ow-" Griffin laughed in amusement and helped Oak stand, patting him on the back.
"Lets go inside" Griffin suggested, he motioned them to follow and the trio did, following the Professor into the lab doors. "Again welcome to Tokata! I already know your name Oak but what about your friends" he eyes trailed over to Ash and Delia, along with Mr Mime who had been with them the entire time. He was curious.
Having realized he hadn't introduced himself the boy spoke. "Oh! My name is Ash from Pallet town in yhe Kanto region!" He motioned to Pikachu on his shoulder. "And this is my buddy Pikachu" "Pika!"
"And my name is Deila, Ashs mother, and right here is Mr. Mime" The Pokémon waved with a twirl. "Mime!" It cheered. Griffin chuckled.
"How nice!" At this point Ash was getting pretty bored, glancing around a lab that kinda looked similars to Processor Oaks back in Kanto. he watched as the adult exchanged words with one another.
"Mom I'm gonna go explore!" Ash announced, waving goodbye he ran out the door without getting permission. Delia wasn't at all surprised, simply yelling at him to not get lost and then turn back to the conversation at hand.
Meanwhile with Ash, he dodged left and right to avoid people while running down the street. "Excuse me!" "Coming through!" "Watch out!" "Pikachu!" He continued running until he noticed something cool. "Woah! Check it out Pikachu" He pointed to a dog like Pokemon, but instead of fur there's feathers and replacing the ears is a small white puff, floating above it's head.
"Be!" The Pokémon chirped, tilting it's head ay him. "Beba!" it said, Pikachu waved. "Chaaa" the two Pokemon had a conversation, while watching them converse he heard something, a soft humming Melody, standing straight he started walking towards the sound, peeking over a fence to a backyard. "Huh?" He saw a girl, possibly around the age of sixteen with long black hair in a ponytail, and a basic outfit, a T-Shirt with a cross on it and some jeans, besides her was the same creature they saw while driving here. A bipedal, wingless Charizard with ice like scales and feathers on the head, longer arms and legs. Its much more prettier up close.
"Oh Siren" Ash perked up when he heard her sing, Pikachu did too when the dragon like Pokèmon let out a similar melodic sound.
"Let me hear your calls so I ma-" she softly pulled some fingers through the guitar she was holding then paused an groaned. "No no!" she put it down. "Its all wrong, doesn't even rhyme..." she sighed and looked up, noticing Ash. "Ya need somethin' pal?" she raised an eyebrow.
Ash blinked. "I heard you singing" he started climbing over the fence into the large backyard. "You have a nice voice?" he shook his head. "Nevermind, Hi! My name is Ash from Pallet down and this is my buddy Pikachu" "Pika!" "We're visiting from the Kanto region"
"Well let me be, probably not the first to welcome you to the Tokata region Ash, my name is Aaliyah, pleasure to meet you." Aaiyah smiled a bit then motioned to the Pokémon beside her. "And this is Frost, he's a Icifri"
"Icifri?" Ash questioned, tilting his head. Aaliyah smiled and motioned to the bipedal Pokémon beside her.
"This dude, is an Icifri, its their Pokèmon mame. His nickname is Frost since its sometimes hard to pronounce" Frost made a noise, but instead of it being a normal dragon type sound it was a melodic sound, almost like it was singing a small song. "Yeah they do that"
"Awesome!" Ash got closer to Frost, making the Pokèmon back up a bit. "You're so cool! Can I pet him?" He got a nod from Aaliyah. "Sweet!" he ran his fingers down the smooth scales then took his hand away, rubbing them together. "Cold!" But smooth.
"You bet" Aaliyah leaned back. "Frosts scales temp change due to the weather, so when its sunny and hot" she pointed up to the sky. "The scales are cool and cold, vise versa for winter" she patted the Pokémon on the head. "He can also willingly change the temp of his scares, a quirk I like about him" Another melodic sound from the Pokèmon.
Aaliyah stood up, putting her guitar in a case she zipped it up and then slung the strap onto her shoulder. "Since you're new here why don't I take you to Professor Griffin, he'll show you around town"
"I already met the Professor" Ash explained. "Professor Oak came here to meet him, Me and My mom just tagged along" he looked up. "But this place is soo awesome! So many new Pokèmon to meet"
Aaliyah smiled and smoothed out her hair a bit. "Then I'm guessing he's busy at the moment" she turned and then returned Frost to his Pokeball. "I'll show you around Town"
"Really? But I just met you though." Ash tilted his head to the side. Pikachu did the same but a bit more cuter.
Aaliyah smiled. "Don't forget the part where you kinda trespassed in my backyard" she responded, Ash cringed about to say a word but was cut off. "C'mon, daylight is wasting my friend!"
Meanwhile...
At the docks near the ocean, A familiar trio walked off the boat wearing civilian clothes Team Rocket basically fit in with the rest. Reaching the wooden Dock Jessie stretched. "As much fun as that boat was" she turned to James and Meowth. "Next time we take the plane"
"Hear hear" James replied tiredly in agreement, the boat ride was a bit too long in their opinion even Meowth agreed with the small nod he was giving. James glanced around as Meowth climbed onto his head.
"So dis is the Tokata Region?" He got a nod from James. "Nice place to be catchin' Pokemons" he jumped down and stood next to Jessie. "And no Twerp gettin' in da way"
James nodded. "Mm! And I believe my Uncle lives nearby, perhaps we could go pay him a visit?" He got a look from the two in front of him.
"Not to rain on your parade James" Jessie said. "But wouldn't your Uncle call your parents off the bat once he sees you?" she leaned forward tapping her foot. "And with your parent will come-"
"Jessiebelle" James shuddered at the name then shook his head. "No- This Uncle is different. He wouldn't do that to me unless I give him my consent" The way he spoke about said Uncle told Jessie and Meowth that this was the type of man James looksd up too. But visiting family isn't on their agenda.
"We're getting off topic" Jessie sighed. "We should go catch Pokèmon, not stall around her" she turned and started walking. "Let's get a map and find the nearest Pokèmon center and start from there"
"Ya mean we're pulling a heist on the Center?" Meowth caught up to Jessie as she began moving. "Not a bad idea but shouldn't we wait?" James followed after.
"It's now or never Meowth, if we wait we won't be able to catch any Pokèmon" Jessie replied. "If we do it now and get the boss some rare Pokèmon then we could get a pay raise or even Better-"
"A promotion!"
"Then let's get going!"
Back with Ash and Aaliyah
"Woah!"
Aaliyah raised an eyebrow at his enthusiasm, her Pokémon tilted their head to side curiously. "Its just a Pokémon center dude" she said. "Why so excited?" Frost chattered their own question but that fell on deaf ears.
"But the design is so cool!" He exclaimed. "This Region is so cool!" Pikachu couldn't help but agree. "C'mon let's go inside buddy!" "Pika!" The young man ran inside the building. Aaliyah couldn't help but smile at the overuse word he used. Apparently everything here was cool.
She went to catch up.
The Nurse Joy at the counter greeted them when they walked in with a bright smile. "Good evening, how may I help you?" she asked curiously, a Pokémon that walked on all fours, the color pink quite skinny, a long tail more fluffier then the other fur on its body, and a halo floating above it's head perked up and looked at the two, cat like features. pretty big Pokémon. "Haaloo?"
"Woah! What kind of Pokémon is that?" Ash rushed over, leaning on the counter to get a better look, his eyes sparkling with curiously and interested. Instead of being surprise the Nurse Joy smiled at the boy.
"This is my helper, Haalo. She's rather cute Pokémon isn't she?" Nurse Joy asked, petting the Pokémon on the head, making sure to avoid the halo floating above it's head. "I'm guessing you aren't from around here?" she asked Ash.
The boy nodded. "Yeah!" He replied with even more enthusiasm. "I'm Ash and this is my buddy Pikachu" "Pika!" "We come from Pallet Town in the Kanto Region" He pointed to himself proudly.
"Oh my" The Nurse smiled at him. "That's a long ways from here, I bet the trip was very fun" The Pokemon besides her perked up and made a sound. "Haal!"
"You bet it was" Ash agreed. "This place is soooo cool" The boy looked at Pikachu. "I might consider staying here and traveling what do you think bud?" "Pika!"
Aaliyah smiled, waving awkwardly at the Nurse. Joy waved back but then turned when she heard a crash coming from the backroom. "Oh my I wonder what that could be?" That was where all the injured Pokémon would be resting, she backed up. "I'll be right back you two" Then she left to go check.
Aailyah watched the woman walk off, glancing back at Ash the musical girl spoke. "So? How do you like the town so far?" she asked.
Ash looked over with the biggest grin. "Its awesome! There's so much to see and do its the best!" His Pokémon nodded as he continued. "I want to see everything thats here! It'll be so cool" "Chu!"
"Glad you're enjoying your time here Ash" Aaliyah said, she only met the guy today. He had intruded into her backyard and she already felt like they were fast friends. She smiled. "Well lets-"
A scream cut her off. "Thiefs!" It was Nurse Joy. Ash and Aaliyah looked at each other before rushing to the backroom having been the only trainers in the building with Healthy Pokémon they took it upon theirselves to help Nurse Joy with whatever trouvles she needed. Ash just hoped it wasn't who he thought it was. As as they reached their designation the area was covered in smoke.
When it cleared A familiar Red head stepped into view, smiling triumphantly "Prepare for trouble, we always show up when the time is right" Jessie began.
"And make it double, doing it alone is never the right way in a fight!" James stepped into view, holding a rose up to his nose with a smile.
"To protect this world from devastation!" The woman continued, outstretching her hand alongside the other.
"To unite all peoples within this nation." The blue haired male added with a wink and the two twirled.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars far far above!"
"Jessie,"
"James,"
"And Meowth"
"Team Rocket, we blast off at the speed of light and we always win!"
"Surrender now, or prepare for a perilous fight!"
Jessie and James turned to face them, arms crossed and leaning into each other. "Dats right!" Meowth appeared, jumping on their shoulders with a grin.
"Waaabafffet!"
"Team Rocket!" Ash seethed with anger, noticing the wriggling bag Jessie had over her shoulder. "I knew it was you, Let those Pokémon go!" he pointed at the trio.
"Great it's the twerp" Jessie mumbled. "How dumb of us to think we wouldn't run into him again" she looked down at Meowth. "Meowth do something"
The talking Pokémon blinked and stared up at Jessie with a ridiculous look. "What do ya expect me ta do Jess? Scratch dey're faces? Like that'll work"
Aaliyah blinked. "It can talk" she mumbled. "That Meowth can really talk" she shook her head in confusion. "The hell? I can't comprehend this situation" she mumbled.
"How about we just make a break for it?" James suggested looking over at Jessie. "We can fight the twerp another day" If they did see him another day. It was absolutely likely.
"Don't talk as if we aren't here!" Ash yelled out, pointing at the trio. "Pikachu use thunderbolt!" "Pika" The lightning Pokémons cheeks sparked with electricity before sending the attack towards the rather calm trio.
"Wabbufett use Counter."
"Waaa!" The Blue blob of a Pokémon sent the attack flying back towards Pikachu. The mouse Pokémon saw it coming and quickly dodged, making the stronger counter attack hit and ruin the wall. "Ash wait" Aaliyah said. "Don't just attack randomly like that, it'll end up tiring out your Pokémon" she warned. "Let me and Frost deal with this then you can take the finishing blow" Ash gave her a look and then nodded.
"Alright then let's show then what we can do" Aaliyah said, pointing at Wabbufett she continued. "Frost use Sirens song!" The Icifri lifted their head and opened her mouth. The rocket gang got ready for the attack, Jessie getting ready to say counter again. Aaliyah suggested for Ash and Nurse Joy to cover their ears, they did as told and so did Pikachu. Instead of sending out an attack the Pokémon let out a melodic tune. Jessie and James looked at each other in confusion for a moment before glancing at the Pokémon.
Soon the group froze in place, looking at the singing Pokémon in a daze. Quickly snapping out of it when Aaliyah gave Ash a nod and Frost stopped singing. "Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" "PIKKKKAAAAAACHU!"
The attack managed to send them through the roof yelling "We're blasting off once again!" While the trio flew through the air a conversation was held between them.
"Y'know that motto was a mix of old and new"
"You're right, we should come up with a better one later"
"Who cares about the motto! That Pikachu is as strong as ever" Jessie announced, the other two knew what she was saying. Including what it meant and unfortunately agreed with her.
"So I'm guessing we're going back to the original plan huh?" James said with a sigh. Chase Pikachu around, fail everytime and being blasted off into the sky the best plan in the world but if they could get that Pikachu it would all be worth it.
"Yep"
Back on the ground Aaliyah and Ash bowed to Nurse Joy in apologies. "We're sorry for all the trouble Nurse Joy" the two said at once. "I'll help pay for the damage done" Aaliyah added.
"No it's quite all right" Nurse Joy replied. "I should be awarding you both for your heroic behavior in saving all the injured Pokémon!" She walked off. "Give me a moment I'll be right back" Aaliyah and Ash looked at each other in confusion before Nurse Joy came back in a few minutes. "I hope this is okay" She held up a Pokèmons egg to Ash, spotted with pink dots in a round incubator. "It's a Haalo egg"
"I'm not sure we deserve this Nurse Joy" Ash replied, waving his hands. "What we did was just..."
"Community Service?" Aaliyah asked, trying to think of a term. Unfortunately for ten minutes this Nurse Joy had been very persistent in giving them this special gift that Ash decided to take it to make her happy, and then left with cheerful goodbyes. "Let's go by the lab" Aaliyah said. "That's where Professor Oak and your mom is right?"
"Right!"
"Then let's go there" The walk back to the Pokémon lab was a bit longer then they expected, mostly due to Ash stopping to look at every new creature he saw and being absolutely amazed by it, the trip consisted of Ash going. "Woah!" "Awesome" "What Pokémon is that?" "Pika!" When they finally reached the lab Ash rushed right up to his mom to ask the big question.
"Mom can I-"
"Of course you can stay here" His mother replied, she already knew what he was going to ask which surprised Ash for a moment. "It's not a big surprise, I knew as soon as you went out those doors you would want to stay so I had Professor Griffin get the supplies you needed ready"
Said Professor walked over, holding out a small container full of shrunken Pokèballs and a blue Pokédex. "Here you go Ash" The man said. Ash put the egg he got down on the table and took the items, studying the Pokédex he got.
"Thank you so much!" Ash said grinning at the Professor who nodded at his enthusiasm with a quick "You're welcome" Ash turned and pointed the Pokédex at Frost and immediately got a description.
"Icifri, the siren Pokémon. Also known as the temperature Pokémon, because of this Icifri are commonly both fire and ice type Pokémon due to the ability to change the temperature of their scales"
"Too cold and they can use Ice moves" Aaliyah continued for the Pokédex. "Too hot and they can use fire moves"
"I've never seen a fire and ice type before" Professor Oak made his way over. "This Icifri is an incredible creature, lovely looking as well" he pet the Pokémon on the about and Frost let him. He turned to Ash. "Well Ash good luck! I'm rooting for you my boy"
"And you always know I'm here for you too Ash" His mother added with a sweet smile. "And don't forget to call! That's always important, oh and make sure to wash your clothes and-"
"I get it mom" Ash pocketed the items and looked at the two, picking up the egg in the incubator. "Thank you so much!" he hugged his mom and then gave the Professor a sideways one before running to the door. The three waving goodbye to him. They had six hours of daylight and what better way to start an adventure the right now? "Ready to go Pikachu?" "Pika!"
"Hey Ash!" Aaliyah ran to catch up with him, he paused to wait for her. "Mind if I tag along? Been wanting to get out of this town for awhile"
Ash stared at her for a little bit, he had only known Aaliyah for a day and he already felt like they were best friends. So how could he say no? "Yeah! Of course you can come along!" Besides, travelling along is always a bore.
