Author Note: This is a revised repost of my original first two chapter. I've decided to pick this story back up but with a little bit more length. There's additional context and depth, with the same fiery love triangle you all couldn't get enough of. So with much anticipation (maybe more on my end) I'm happy to share this first glimpse back into the story we love. Enjoy!
"Form Seven." Suki's voice rang over the group of kyoshi warriors who stood in groups of two maintaining defensive and offensive positions. Though none of the young warriors would say it, Suki could see the hidden exhaust in their forms.
"Alright girls, perform the technique again. We don't have room to be weak, not in a man's world." She walked down the line of sparring warriors, stopping only as she reached on particular girl with a signature braid.
"Ty lee follow me; I have some pointers for your technique." Suki gestured towards the young acrobat whose head lifted at the sound of her name. The rest of the girls paused for a moment but without skipping a beat obeyed and rehearsed their routine as told. Ty Lee without question followed her captain into the sleeping hall. As soon as the two were inside Suki pulled the door shut behind them.
"My form wasn't that bad, was it?" Ty Lee asked teasingly with her head cocked slightly to the side and her left hand on her hip.
"I mean, I did catch you contorting your body during practice yesterday." Suki chuckled.
Ty Lee put an index finger to her chin in thought. "One would say you should always stretch before an intense training session, captain." She remarked with a goofy smile.
"All jokes aside, I am glad I could steal you away for a little bit." Suki took her fan and seductively scooped Ty Lee's chin up for their eyes to fully meet.
Ty Lee leaned against a beam structure and smiled, this time more teasingly. "Don't you think sooner or later the other girls will find all this sneaking off during regimen suspicious?" There was an exciting sparkle in her brown eyes. Suki could identify Ty Lee in an instant. Not only her braid which she hardly ever cartwheeled around Kyoshi without, but her face as well. Though it was covered in traditional Kyoshi face paint her whole personality was much more animated than the others. Ty Lee also had a defined acrobatic figure compared to the other girls.
Suki shrugged with a sly smile. "They trust their captain. What can I say? Besides they still think I'm waiting for Sokka." Even through her best efforts her smile faltered at saying his name.
After Aang defeated Lord Ozai with the group faithfully supporting him as they battled fire nation forces; Sokka mad the decision to return to the Southern Water Tribe. Though Suki had asked him to stay, Sokka was adamant on returning to train the younger warriors. He was so hard headed, Suki knew there was not swaying his decision.
'Don't worry! I'll be back before you even have the chance to miss me.'
However that was over a year ago. Suki waited, desperately hoping for the return of her beloved Water Tribe warrior. Little did Suki know that on the other side, Sokka had little memory of who was waiting for him back on Kyoshi Island. Ty Lee on the othe rhand faced another situation entirely. Her dear fire princess was locked away in the highest security mental asylum that Zuko could manage to find. Though he intended to do so out of compassion to spare his sister the same fate as their father; Azula was facing insanity alone. At the facility Ty Lee had visited the girl she had loved and once followed into battle; But was heartbroken by the cold animalistic behavior Azula had towards her. For Ty Lee, Zuko had spared Azula from a lifetime of punishment for her crimes. The former princess however did not share the feeling. For her, Zuko may as well have taken her life. Not long after the war did Suki take the quirky acrobat under her wing. Suki, befriending her new recruit and developing a desire for the young beauty she had once fought on the opposite side of. As time passed the two girls found themselves sneaking off whenever the time seemed fit and when they pleased, no hesitation on Ty Lee's end. The pair had found comfort in each other, though they rarely spoke of their past relations these days.
Suki was brought out of her daze as she felt a gentle kiss along her neck. Thoughts of Sokka fleeted her mind as Ty Lee's lips continued to make a pleasureful trail across Suki's skin. As armor upon armor fell from the pair's bodies so did Ty Lee's breast bindings. Ty Lee wrapped her arms around Suki's neck, following with her legs around the older girl's waist. As Ty Lee's lips met Suki's in a whirl of lust, Suki slid her hands with gentle force and control down to the acrobat's thighs. Taking her shot of opportunity Suki lightly pinched the girl's skin, making Ty Lee gasp and allowing Suki to gain entry to Ty Lee's mouth. The tasted of her was intoxicating to the Kyoshi leader. Not long after did Suki's breast binding from her own toned physique, joining Ty Lee's. As Suki's lips left Ty Lee's, the Kyoshi leader traced her way down Ty Lee's chest to her supple breasts. Suki with a strategically gentle graze from her teeth, one she knew had driven Ty Lee mad, time and time again. Like clockwork Ty Lee's head tilted back in awe as she gasped and moaned at her captain's skill.
Finally reaching one of the flat beds, Suki laid Ty Lee down with ease. As she did so Suki noticed Ty Lee's kisses grew more intense than before. Not in a fierce way but sweeter, gentler and more passionate. Suki admitted that her little secret left her in absolute awe at times, making it very hard to deny they were anything more than beneficial. With a mischievous grin Ty Lee lowered her hand between the other girl's thighs. As Ty Lee expected, Suki was already soaked by this time. Like a puppeteer who'd mastered the strings of their characteristic instrument, Ty Lee worked her magic with Suki responding in an intense set of moans. The Kyoshi leader clenched the sheets of the bed at her climax, only releasing her grip when they had finished.
Ty Lee would never let Suki repay the favor. Something that had once frustrated her captain. Instead she always insisted on pleasing her captain's entire body and mind. Never once in the many times they had snuck off had Ty Lee let her. Suki shrugged off the thought and the two finished redressing themselves. As they walked out, Suki called to the still sparring warriors.
"Alright girls, you can all get washed up. We'll continue this tomorrow." With that the girls all started toward the shore to wash up and refresh their bodies. Ty Lee melded her way back into the group of warriors as they set off toward the shore side.
As the other girls finished washing themselves they made their way back to the village, talking and laughing as they walked; Leaving Ty Lee to her own thoughts. She had grown used to the odd looks and whispers the other girls shared about her when they thought she wasn't within hearing distance.
Ty Lee made her way over to the monument of Kyoshi and sat in front of it. Thoughts began to flood her mind, most in particular, thoughts of her old lover. In many ways Suki and Azula were alike. They both had pride they held high. Both were dedicated to the survival of their people. Both practically stone, except for one weakness, Ty Lee.
She threw a stone across the dirt path. "By now 'Zula is already dead." She closed her eyes and clenched her fists, trying to keep the tears from forming.
'No one understood her or even took the time to really see there was so so much more to her than just heartless. I was the only one who cared and she probably thought I wanted to abandon her. I just wanted to save her but she would never see it that way.' The tears she fought so hard to keep back began falling silently down her cheeks.
"Ty Lee, are you crying?" A voice asked.
Ty Lee let out a weak laugh as she looked up to find Suki standing in front of her, The older girl's face was free of the war paint making her features much more gentle and warm than before.
"I'm just thinking about her, Suki." Ty Lee fixated her gaze across the sunset water.
Suki felt a stabbing pain in her gut. "you're usually so cheerful. You've got to accept she's gone, Ty Lee. I had to with Sokka a long time ago. You deserve more than being her loyal dog."
"But I love her Suki..." Ty Lee's voice cracked barely audible but just enough for Suki to hear.
Suki's fists clenched at Ty Lee's words. The subject of the former fire nation princess never came up as to save the hassle of Ty Lee getting upset. Sometimes even with all the tiptoeing it was as if the acrobat wanted to hold on to the memories that pained her. Suki felt the words in her throat like a lump of forbidden knowledge not ready to be revealed. Before she knew it, she felt the words escape her lips.
"Yeah? And I love you, Ty." Suki froze dead in her tracks, realizing the weight of what she'd just said. Now was not the time. The acrobat looked up at her with more tears forming in her brown eyes.
"You what?" Ty Lee stood and began backing away from Suki in shock.
"Not like that! I just don't want to see you hurt by her mistakes or in this pain anymore. You deserve so much more, Ty Lee." Suki felt the guilt eating her away by lying to Ty Lee like this. Jealousy was disturbing the composure the Kyoshi leader hung to. There was nothing that she could do or say at this point. Not right now at least.
"It's good to have a friend like you, Suki." Ty Lee said with a forced smile.
"It's time to let go, Ty Lee. We all know it except for you." With that Suki began her trek back, leaving Ty Lee to ponder her own thoughts before walking back after nightfall.
The moon sat high illuminating the night sky as Ty Lee began her walk to the sleeping hall. Her mind was swarming with what Suki had told her.
"I know she caused more harm than good to a lot of people. But I can't shut my heart off." Ty Lee's voice cracked as she looked up at the moon, hoping maybe Azula was looking at it with her. Silently Ty Lee tiptoed her way into the sleeping quarters as to not wake the other slumbering girls. The young acrobat climbed into her bed and slowly drifted off into a deep sleep.
No dreams would visit her that night. The girl was too mentally worn to dream. Instead, it was the constant nightmares of her former lover that left her in a cold sweat each time she awoke. The nightmares had been almost every night since the last she saw Azula. It was a nightmare in which Ty Lee went to visit Azula before moving to Kyoshi. The exact day she had said her last goodbye to the former princess. Every time she would walkd down the cell hall and to the back as the amount of light grew dimmer and the terribly animalistic screams grew closer and louder. It was a woman's scream, as if there was only one person in the whole facility. Ty Lee would flinch as the screams grew so loud; she thought her ear drums would burst. Every time she always considered turning back around but knew that wasn't and option for her. Ty Lee would finally reach the darkest depths of the asylum where Azula was held. She would call out from the other side of the bars as she stood looking frightfully at the hunched over shadow of a figure in the darkest corner. A loud maniacal laugh arose and Azula would slowly walk into view, laying her forehead against the cold iron bars that held her. A specially designed flame resistant straightjacket bound her arms to her side as to be of no use to her. Ty Lee would always reach out to her lover and then soft brown terrified brown eyes would meet those golden ones of a cold-blooded killer. Like clockwork the whole situation would change. A swarm of raging blue flames would surround them in an all-consuming frenzy and then, Ty Lee would wake with a jolt. The bittersweet reminder of the last and final memory she had of her beloved princess.
