Smallville Redux

Chapter 04

AN: Hello all it's been a while. Firstly thanks to every one of you who reviewed and asked for chapter updates. I couldn't answer because I honestly didn't know, but I will say that this chapter practically wrote itself. Anyway as big of a fan of Smallville as I am there was a lot to the show that looking back on I don't like or I missed the first time through, but there was also a lot of good. Michael Rosenbaum is the definitive young Lex Luthor and I think CW missed the mark by not bringing him back for the Crisis event for Supergirl's lesser version. Also I'm not a fan of the current arrow-verse so don't expect me to reference Batwoman, Supergirl or any other newer shows as I don't watch them and never have passed the premiers, pilots or in Batwoman's case the backdoor pilot.

Also I went back and edited an earlier chapter referencing the JSA, I forgot Hawkgirl and the JSA were taken out before Clark even arrived on Earth in Smallville and had to fix that. Anyway with that said here is the new chapter.

Start Now:

When awareness came to him Clark Kent found himself both in stunned awe and deeply concerned. He was standing on a circular platform somewhere deep in space as all he could see surrounding him was a sea of stars. He was still dressed in his sleepwear which for one he was thankful he actually wore the pajama pants when he went to bed and more importantly someone had managed to snatch him out of his bed and bring him wherever it was he currently stood.

"Welcome Kal-El."

The voice had him snapping around where he found the speaker who'd been standing behind him. The speaker was a tall black man who stood just over six feet tall and wore a strange set of bulky blue armor witch gold accents and a red cape. He was mostly bald with the exception of a few strips of what he thinks is hair.

"How do you know that name?" questioned Clark eyes narrowed.

"I know a great many things. It is my job, self-appointed as the task may be." Stated the man causing the young Kryptonian to frown.

"I am known as the Monitor; I oversee the multiverse." Stated the man.

"So what do you want from me?" questioned Clark

He knew the multiverse existed, it was one of the things he had recently learned in his studies with Jor-El and Kara. Kryptonian scientist had discovered the multiverse centuries back and had studied it for a time before it was outlawed, like many other things had been towards the end.

"I called you here to explain your current situation. There was recently an incident, and while it worked itself out for the time being many universes were destroyed including your own. You should have never died, and it only occurred due to my hubris allowing someone to rewrite your destiny along with many others. When the situation resolved and while the multiverse was resetting I merged several of the universes together resulting in the world you currently reside in. I also manipulated the Book of Rao and transferred the memories of the 24-year-old Clark Kent to you."

"I take it you also messed with certain laws as well while you worked?" questioned Clark, as his memories showed polygamy had been illegal, but his recent research showed it to be not only legal but practiced since the times of the Ancient Greeks.

"Indeed, nothing on a universal scale but certain laws that would help you and others in the fullness of time." Said the Monitor.

"I'm guessing that's also the reason behind why time is different. It should be 2001 yet I'm living in 2009." Said Clark.

"Indeed that was one of the changes I made. There were also others made, Oliver Queen's parents did not die when he was a child as you remember. Instead as you have discovered he lived into his adult life with them and only two years ago did he disappear. While he was only gone for 2 years in your past on this earth he will be away for a few more years. Victor Stone is at this moment barely four years old, Bart Allen will not be born for several more decades and the Arthur Curry you will come to know will not be the same as you once knew." Explained the Monitor

At this Clark visibly winced, while he hadn't really thought too much about it he had been looking forward to the day when his friends would all come together again. Yet now he knew that would never happen not like it had been before. As it was the only ones he'd have a chance of meeting up with AC and Oliver would both be basically different people and he'd have to get to know them all over again.

"Anything else?" questioned Clark warily.

"There will be many changes, but you may discover those on your own in time, life should be experienced. All I will say is do not rely too much on your prior knowledge instead pay attention to your current life and those surrounding you."

With that he made a motion of his hand and Clark vanished as if he'd never been there. Once he was gone the Monitor allowed himself to relax as a chair materialized for him to sit on. The Crisis had been horribly mismanaged but this time he would see to it that the heroes would make it through it. There would be difficulties, but the correct Paragons would be there this time, including the true paragons of Hope and Courage.

When Clark returned to awareness it was as if he'd never left as he was returned directly to his bed. Glancing at his clock he found it was only 4:15. Immediately climbing out of bed he went through his mourning routine at superspeed and was out of the house in less than five minutes. Speeding to the cave and into the alter room he immediately informed Jor-El of what had happened. The Monitor as it turned out was a known entity one who lived at the edge of the universe. In the end Jor-El advised him to ignore the Monitor for the time being as he hadn't asked him to perform any tasks and accept the man's apology and his actions in the vein that they'd been given.

Leaving the alter room Clark found himself both relieved and also anxious as both he and Jor-El had realized that there was something unsaid in what the Monitor had told them. Now more than ever he wished he had access to the Fortress, more than the knowledge therein he needed Jor-El at 100% capacity. The Stones of Power however were scattered all over the world and while he knew where they all were they were impossible to retrieve at his current level, hell at this point he'd need to be able to fly! As the thought came to him he stopped in place, why couldn't he fly, Kara could it was the first ability she expressed upon emerging from her ship.

As he thought of that he remembered the incident where he woke up floating and going through the memories of his 24-year-old self, there had been several instances where he'd thought he had flown even if only for a little while. So that meant he had the ability, but what was stopping it. He knew he had the energy; he'd been absorbing yellow sun energy for over a decade and Kara and other Kryptonians who'd come later had demonstrated the ability with much less exposure. So did that mean he was stopping it himself? He knew he'd been afraid of heights, falling and breaking an arm could do that to a kid, but once again he could remember falling from crazy heights and getting up easily with not even a scratch to show for it so that couldn't be it.

Delving deep into the memories and he analyzed all of them for an answer, trying to discover what was holding him back. It was only after much introspection that he came upon a possible reason. For all of his feats and abilities there had always been a part of him, even at 24 that had a deep desire to simply be human. Clark Kent couldn't fly because humans couldn't fly! Yet Kal-El could fly, because Kal-El was of Krypton, the Last Son of Krypton, both the last child to be born and the youngest of the survivors. He was both Clark Kent and Kal-El yet he'd never allowed them to be the same person. He'd been scared of Kal-El and what he was capable of, at least what the version Jor-El had programmed him to be was capable of.

But once again he was Kal-El, the real one. Yes he was the son of Jor-El and Lara-El, but he was also the son of Jonathan and Martha Kent and they were the ones who raised him. Kal-El was Clark Kent, just as Clark Kent was Kal-El, they were not two separate individuals but one person with the same likes, dislikes and abilities. Kal-El had a grand destiny ahead of him but Clark Kent allowed him a reprieve and the ability to live truly, he could go to school, make friends, find love and be loved in return in ways that Kal-El couldn't' be seen to do.

"I don't have to choose." Breathed Clark aloud in realization.

The spoken words removed from him a weight that until that moment he hadn't realized he'd been carrying yet the removal of that burden was clearly felt. The feeling was as if chains that had bound him to the earth had been broken freeing both his body and his soul. For the first time as the realization set in he felt truly free and with that feeling fueling him he stood to his feet, having slid to a seated position along the cave walls and exited the caves.

As he emerged from the caves the early morning light of the sun could be seen as it began its rise. Ignoring it for the moment he sunk down into a crouched position where he stayed for several long moments before suddenly he was in motion launching himself up and into the air. This was no leap however as he soon found himself hovering over the clouds and allowed himself to take in the sensation and the sights for several long moments in amazement.

Tilting himself forward he shot forward in a blur before he tilted himself again shooting up and into a loop. For a while he luxuriated in the feeling and the freedom that the open air gave him sending himself through loops, twists and dives yet finding himself to be in complete control and allowing himself the freedom to whoop, holler and cheer the entire time. All of his other powers had required time and training to get handle on, flight however was almost instinctual to the point that he couldn't believe he'd denied himself such an experience for so long. Eventually however he came back to himself and after taking some time to orient himself took off in a blur cutting through the clouds breaking the sound barrier easily in the process as he set his destination.

Chloe Sullivan had something of a permanent smile on her face. Her life had changed significantly since she found out her best friend was in fact an alien. Thankfully he wasn't like a xenomorph or a predator which most people thought of when they thought of aliens. Instead he was from a planet called Krypton and with the exception of his powers could and did pass off as human as anyone else. His cousin Kara, also Kryptonian and recently arrived had convinced her that they should form a harem for him, if not in those words.

She would be honest enough if only to herself that it hadn't taken her much convincing, she'd even been relieved as she didn't think she could compete with Lana let alone Kara who she thought was even more beautiful. She would admit if only to herself she had something of a crush on Clark since she'd first come to Smallville which had been the main reason she'd kissed him those few short years ago as she'd just wanted out of her system.

They had formed a solid friendship in time, but she'd never really gotten over her crush which had only deepened when he revealed his secret to her. As such Kara's offer had been something like a lifeline to her at the time and resulted in her learning even more about Clark. Learning that he had memories from the future had thrown her for a loop but learning that they had never gotten together had been something of a body blow to her and while she had apparently gone on to marry twice, once to Oliver Queen of all people it wasn't Clark and to her seemed more like settling. Clark had however gone through multiple relationships including an on an off relationship with Lana and had apparently even been dancing around her cousin Lois.

Thankfully Clark had said yes to forming such a polygamous relationship and she knew that while it was acceptable and even legal it was not the norm for most people. Apparently they were similar enough to Kryptonians who had only had those relationships in the upper-class noble families such as the House of El. Though even on Krypton not everyone in those circles had those types of relationships it had been a normal part of their civilization until about a century before Clark's father Jor-El was born.

On Earth it was something from the times of the Ancient Greeks and Egyptians, the Romans had adopted it as something of a status symbol, as had the Brits and then the Americans after them. The biggest harem in American history was of course well known and still celebrated as they were the Playboy Bunnies, the mistresses of Hugh Hefner.

Regardless she knew this was her path forward in life and she'd even convinced her dad to get Lois and her sister Lucy to come live with them. Being that her uncle Sam was an active-duty General in the Army her cousins were always on the move, and she had reasoned that the two girls could use the stability. Thankfully the school year was only just beginning, and the General had seen the sense in it so had allowed it.

Of course it had probably helped that she had reached out to Lois beforehand and explained her plan to her via email and the two sisters had apparently been eager to get away from the army lifestyle and come live with her. The difficult part she knew would be convincing Lois to join a group relationship, she was just hopeful that once she got to know Clark she would go for it even if it meant pushing her pride to the side. Still they wouldn't be arriving for another week, so it wasn't something she had to worry about immediately.

Her immediate concern was Pete, Clark had confided in her what had happened between them the last time through, and she was determined to save their friendship. Kara had said the boy was most likely envious which she could understand, but Pete was special in his own way. She had already seen some signs from Pete and had taken to talking with him as had Clark and even Kara all of them determined to help him through the tough times he was going through right now with his parents constantly fighting.

She knew the last time it had ended in divorce, but they couldn't do anything about his parents and instead focused on giving Pete an escape from the pressure. Just the previous weekend the four of them had gone and spent Saturday at Miami Beach. Clark had revealed it wasn't something he usually did but had decided it would be a good idea if only to give Pete a break from the house. Thankfully their efforts were working as Pete was opening up more easily now.

"Chloe you're going to be late!" came the call of her father breaking her from her thoughts

"Coming!"

When Clark arrived at school that day he was clearly in a good mood. After figuring out how to fly he'd gone to Egypt and returned with the Crystal of Fire. It had been hidden in one of the pyramids encased within the statue of an Egyptian God. Superspeed, plus x-ray and telescopic vision, plus flight had gotten everything including his return done within 30 minutes. He'd found an already available entrance, remained in flight and taken the entire statue just to ensure that there was no evidence of his presence. Upon his return he'd headed immediately back into the caves and after breaking the statue placed the crystal on the pedestal in the alter room. He'd had no time to revel in the accomplishment however as he'd quickly sped back to the farm, shut off his alarm and had a quick shower before making his way to school.

He and Chloe were still on the good side of the student populace which as a result saw them amongst the most popular people in the school. Classes seemed to fly by in a breeze and before he knew it he was sitting in his desk in the Torch office. Chloe was there as well however today neither of them was working as instead they were focused on enjoying their lunch break before they had to head back to class.

"You know Clark anyone else and I wouldn't have believed any of what you just told me." Said Chloe shaking her head but smiling after learning what Clark had been up to that morning.

"Well my life is weird." Said Clark

"Still that's one stone down, I'm betting Jor-El was happy." Said Chloe.

"Yeah, both that I've gotten over my mental block and that I've recovered one of the stones." Said Clark.

"Well I guess that's one more thing the Monitor did you a favor with. Those memories seems to have help you get over that."

"True, granted I can't rely on them for much else going forward." Said Clark

"But that would be boring anyway, knowing exactly what would happen. The memories are helping to give you a more mature outlook and notice things you would have otherwise overlooked.

"And the whole harem thing?" questioned Clark.

"Well sounds to me like your other-self went through a lot and you most likely will too. Just accept that it's happening and that you'll have a lot of support." Said Chloe.

"Speaking of are you still supposed to be meeting up with Kara?" questioned Clark.

"Yeah, she's meeting me at my house. Apparently I have a lot to work on if I'm to be a proper mistress of the House, what about you." Said Chloe.

"I have a few chores to get through at the house. Then I think I'm going to go after the last two stones, once I have the second one it will lead me to the third." Said Clark

"You sure it will be that easy" questioned Chloe frowning.

"Normally it wouldn't be. People have been searching for them for centuries. It's only thanks to the memories that I know exactly where to look. Plus I'm going three years early, by the time those other parties figure it out they wont even be an issue anymore." Said Clark grabbing his bag as the bell rung signaling the end of lunch.

"Clark." Called Chloe causing him to stop.

"Be careful." Said the girl getting him to smile before he walked out.

Clarks plans to go after the stones where put on hold after he received call from Virgil Swann's assistant while he was doing his chores at the farm. As soon as he was cleaned up he found himself rushing out and to New York where the reclusive doctor lived. Unlike his previous visit and the memories of his other self he was not directed to the observatory, instead being escorted to the living area. His escort was Dr. Bridgett Crosby who was Dr. Swann's chief assistant, which pretty much meant she ran his life. The living area was actually a huge penthouse with a view overlooking the New York skyline which wasn't much of a surprise considering how high up they were. They found Dr. Swann in the living sitting on the couch with a newspaper in hand that he placed down upon their entry.

"Clark thank you for coming so quickly." Said the man.

"Of course, I came as soon as a could." Said Clark taking a seat on the couch once invited while Dr. Crosby sat beside him.

"Lionel's trial is combing up and after everything you showed me I've had my people doing some digging on the other Veritas members." Said Dr. Swann.

"You didn't have to, honestly I just wanted Lionel out of the way." Said Clark.

"No Clark, in my zeal to learn I dragged these people into your orbit. The least I could do is protect you from the snakes." Said Dr. Swann.

"Veritas as you know consisted of myself, the Teague's, the Queens, Lionel Luthor and unknown to them Bridgett here." Said the man getting a nod from Clark.

"First the Teague's. Edward Teague is a lawyer, and a powerful one. He is at this point also an honest man as much as a lawyer can be. He is also prideful and stubborn, but he is also devoted to the cause and could be a good ally for you going forward." Explained Dr. Swann before Dr. Crosby took over.

"His wife Genevieve however is a problem. We found the evidence linking her to a 17th century French Duchess named Gertrude who was apparently a witch of some power. She like many of her ancestors and her descendants had been searching for the Stones of Power. While she never found them she did find a map leading to one of them and in an act of betrayal had another which Countess Margaret Isobel Thoreaux and two of her companions burnt at the stake to keep that secret. Isobel in her dying moments placed a curse on Gertrude's line stating that she would return and take vengeance on her and her descendants." Said Dr. Crosby.

"I guess that explains how Isobel return." Mused Clark

"Indeed, your friend Lana is a direct descendant of the countess. After consulting with another magic user we were informed that it is possible for a descendant to have their own magic even if they haven't accessed it." Said Dr. Crosby.

"Aside from that is a snake big enough to match Lionel. While she has never gotten her own hands dirty we've linked her to plenty of people who have on her behalf." Explained Dr. Swann.

"Well she can look for the stones as long as she likes. I already have that one, I'll have the others by the end of the week." Said Clark frowning.

"Actually we were thinking of turning the information on her over to the authorities. We'll let Edward know first of course. He'll be devastated but he'll do the right thing." Said Dr. Crosby.

"The man your other-self met was one torn apart by grief and loss. Edward Teague is a good man, allow him the chance to prove it." Said Dr. Swann.

"Well you know him best, so I'll leave him to you." Said Clark getting a grateful nod from the man.

"Next the Queens. Robert Queen as you know was lost at sea two years ago with his son Oliver. Aside from Oliver we found he has an illegitimate daughter named Emiko Adachi and an adoptive daughter named Thea. Robert founded and ran Queen Consolidated until his disappearance and truly wanted nothing but the best for both his city and our planet. His hope was that the Traveler would show us how to be a better people, and that we would be worthy of that aid." Said Dr. Crosby.

"Unfortunately he made mistakes. Before his ill-fated trip he informed me that he and a group of like-minded individuals had created a society that working together would help to save Starling City from behind the scenes. However he discovered that the group had lost its way and he wanted out but feared for his safety. After his ship went down I received this in the mail." Said Dr. Swann handing him a book.

"It's a list of names written in ghost ink. A lot of them are wealthy, all of them corrupt in some fashion and benefitting from the corruption in Starling City." Said Dr. Swann causing Clark to frown as he tucked it away for later pursual.

"Well I know Oliver will be fine and I've met Thea, what of Emiko I've never heard of her?" questioned Clark.

"Emiko is troubled. Robert had a long affair with her mother Kazumi but broke it off when Emiko was 11. After that she fell in with bad company, she worked as a courier for the Bertinelli Crime Family and has associations with a group called the Ninth Circle." Said Dr. Crosby.

"Is there any way to reach out to her? I'd hope that she isn't so far gone that she would be beyond our help." Said Clark.

"I'll take care of it." Said Dr. Crosby getting a grateful nod from Clark.

"Next is Robert's wife Moira. She was never as dedicated as Robert, and I believe she truly only humored us because of our social stature. Regardless Moira and Robert weren't a good match and were distant for much of their marriage which explain Robert's tendency to cheat, there was no love in the relationship. What love she did have was focused on her children but judging by how Oliver acted neither of his parents actually bothered to do any parenting when it came to disciplinary action. Moira is the type of parent that believes in giving her children space to act out." Said Dr. Crosby not able to hide her negative feelings about the woman too much from Clark.

"Moira had one affair that we know of with Malcom Merlyn which resulted in Thea. Despite this Robert loved Thea like his own and accepted her whereas Moira was threatened by Emiko." Said Dr. Crosby.

"So why didn't they divorce if it was that bad?" questioned Clark.

"They couldn't. Their marriage was arranged with no clause for a divorce or separation. They were both basically trapped." Said Dr. Swann.

"I think I'd like to meet Mrs. Queen. Oliver, the old one did a lot for me I think I owe it to him to at least make sure his family is fine until he comes back." Said Clark.

"I'll arrange the meeting." Said Dr. Crosby.

"That just leaves Bridgett." Said Dr. Swann.

"Who is here, and you trust, which means so do I." said Clark.

"Thank you." Said the woman not hiding the gratefulness in her tone.

"Anything else." Said Clark after a moment.

"Lionel. Our sources finally finished digging with his trail coming up. We've tracked down Lucas and while he is certainly rough around the edges we think he can be salvaged. He's a smart kid but jaded especially after Lionel abandoned him. He's currently working for the company part time and going to a local junior college to enough earn his high school credits. Now we've also discovered a Luthor that your other-self didn't know about." Said Dr. Crosby causing Clark to shake his head wondering how he could be surprised.

"The woman he knew as Tess Mercer was born Lutessa Lena Luthor out of an affair that Lionel had with Lex's nanny Pamela Jenkins. After Lillian died Lionel not only fired Pamela but took Lutessa from her and put the girl up for adoption. Pamela is currently suffering from cancer that we have helped her get treatment for." Said Dr. Swann.

"Well I actually know Tess now, I met her shortly after I first came here. She just started her first year at Harvard." Said Clark

"Well all the information is here on this drive." Said Dr. Crosby handing him a flash drive which he pocketed.

"What next?" questioned Clark.

"Kara told us of her idea for you to have polygamous marriage." Said Dr. Crosby.

"Yeah, I'm still not sure how they plan to make that work. I don't really qualify for that." Said Clark.

"We'd like to help." Said Dr. Swann surprising him.

"Based on the memories you showed me I am aware my death left my family vulnerable. My trust in the Teague's and the Luthor's saw both Bridgett and Patricia killed. I know even before you received these memories you showed an aptitude for science and engineering. We would like to help you bolster than knowledge and ability and help it flourish. I know you went on to become a respected reporter but you and I know print media is dying. While we would understand if you still felt the need for journalism we would like to offer you this which would perhaps give you even more freedom to move as being a reporter did and prove more lucrative allowing you into the percentile of people afforded polygamous marriages." Said Dr. Crosby

"And in exchange?" questioned Clark.

"I'd ask only that you allow Patricia into this marriage should you both be agreeable." Said Dr. Swann.

"Honestly I'd be happy to befriend and protect her. A relationship between us isn't necessary for that. Plus I think something like that needs to grow naturally." Said Clark getting a smile from the man while Dr. Crosby looked surprised.

"I told you he'd say that. I'd not offer just anyone the hand of our only child, especially for a multiple marriage." Said Dr. Swann.

"You are a remarkable young man Clark. Not many people man or woman would turn down such a proposition." Said Dr. Crosby.

"You two are together?" questioned Clark in surprise.

"Married for 25 years now. My name is actually Bridgett Swann, however I kept use of my maiden name for business." Said Bridgett.

"Still Clark we'd truly like it if you let us help you out." Said Dr. Swann.

"Let me talk to my parents and I'll let you know." Said Clark.

"Excellent, we look forward to meeting them as well." Said Bridgett standing.

"Now that business is done, would either of you like something to eat, I'm famished." Said the woman.

"Well I was actually thinking of going to Mexico for a burrito." Said Clark stunning both of them.

"I like him." Said Bridgett.

That night as they sat for dinner Clark was enjoying the look on his parents faces. When he'd returned they'd been astonished to see him actually flying and he'd taken pure joy in taking his mom up and letting her see the view from up high. He hadn't taken her too high up as he was conscious of the fact that air got thinner and so settled for taking her about 5,000 feet up and then did the same for his dad. He had explained that while he couldn't share much of his power with them, he could at least share a bit of the new view he discovered. That had led to the discussion on how he had discovered the ability and how he'd overcome his mental block, something that both his parents had been proud of.

It was while they were eating that he brought up the conversation he'd had with Dr. Swann and their offer. His parents were untrusting with him and had guarded him very well throughout his life, but both of them knew who Virgil Swann was. Clark had been open with them both regarding his moves since the first night when things had changed. In the end both of them were agreeable on him learning from them provided they meet the couple before anything like that began. Following that he informed them about his trip that morning to retrieve the stone and why he was making such moves now. While neither had liked him doing such a thing on what seemed to be a whim both admitted that they'd rather avoid a second meteor shower, and especially avoid what came down with it in the memories.

"Now, about this multiple marriage business." Said Jonathan bringing Clark back down.

"Kara's idea." Said Clark immediately.

"We know. But we need you to understand marriage is serious business Clark. It is an endeavor that requires constant attention and not just physically but emotionally. It's hard work with just one spouse, with multiple you open yourself up even more especially to jealousy and envy." Said Martha.

"We just want to make sure you don't go into this lightly. There is no hiding in marriage Clark, you'll need to trust all of these girls with who you are or none of you will be happy." Said Jonathan.

Clark went to his loft with much to think on that night. In truth he hadn't really been trying to think much on the whole polygamy thing but as Chloe said earlier it was happening. He and Chloe were already pretty much dating for as much as they were together and she'd already told him Kara was teaching her what it meant to be a mistress in the House of El. She was fully devoted to the idea, so much so that she'd already arranged for Lois to come to Smallville three years early with the sole intention of them eventually being together. Kara hadn't been idle either as his conversation with the Swann's proved earlier when they broached the subject of Patricia. Then there was Lana and he would be damned if he allowed her to marry Lex of all people, that's one mistake he was adamant to avoid and it wasn't like his feelings for her had evaporated, in fact they'd only deepened.

Out of curiosity he'd subtly looked into Alicia only to discover that she was gone, having been sent to Star Labs by her parents which meant he'd probably never meet her this time. Then there was Tess who memories showed there had been attraction for though put at bay due to her mentality. There was also Thea who he had made fast friends with and spoke to daily either through text or by call and he could admit something could grow from that down the line as well. All told there were multiple women he could see a future with and he'd have to take this whole harem thing much more seriously from now on.

Unfortunately as he settled himself down to relax he found himself once more standing on the platform looking out at the starry expanse that was the Monitors domain.

"What now?" questioned the teen groaning and turning to face him.

"I am aware of the list you received from Virgil Swann. While you are free to act as you wish for the most part you must not interfere much with Starling City. That is Oliver Queens trial and he will not become the Green Arrow he is meant to without going through it." Said the Monitor.

"So you want me to do nothing about any of it." Said Clark the idea not sitting right with him.

"Starling City is his, as Metropolis is yours. That said your idea to help his family while he is gone holds merit, so long as Malcom Merlyn does not find out about Thea Queen for the time being. She could use the support of her other brother though." Said the Monitor.

"Is that it?" questioned Clark.

"Indeed, I wish you luck in the times ahead Kal-El." Said the Monitor before Clark vanished and found himself back in his loft.

AN: That's it, chapters down. There was no action or anything but this was how the chapter came to me. Also I won't be doing to whole freak of the week thing from the show because that's repetitive. I'll use some things obviously but aside from offering Clark training I feel like those things are mostly useless especially for this story. Anyway I'm going to try to form to harem slowly and more naturally and while there will be lemons this isn't a smut story. Anyway thanks for reading, please review. Till next time, LATER.
