Naruto ran to his mother. All that mattered to him now was to know that she was okay. The rest didn't matter. He ran up to her and checked her wounds. But everything was fine. Not a single bullet hit her. But the same could not be said of her interlocutor. Thea soon ran up to them. Naruto told her to stay with her mom while he called an ambulance.
In the evening. Hospital
In the evening, Moira was in the hospital room and was examined by a doctor. Naruto and Thea were standing next to each other.
"Doctor, is she all right?" - There was a lot of excitement in Naruto's voice.

"Not. But your mother wasn't the target. And the one she dated." - Lance's partner replied. After a short conversation, Naruto left the hospital.
Naruto's lair.
"So what do we have to sacrifice?" - Naruto asked Lyla.
"His name is Paul Copani. He came to negotiate a deal with your mom. But the most interesting thing is who he works for. Frank Bertinelli." - Lyla replied.
"Mafia leader?" - Naruto stated.
"Yes. Lately, several of Bertinelli's men have been killed, but no one knows by whom." - Lyla added. Naruto sat and considered the information. It was good that someone got rid of the mafia, but his mother suffered, and now he was ready to tear apart the one who did it.
Bertinelli mansion.
Naruto was standing near the door of the Bertinelli house when the owner of the house himself opened it. In appearance, he was an ordinary person; no one would say that he was the leader of the mafia.
"Mr. Bertinelli." - Naruto greeted him, after which they shook hands and Naruto entered the house.
"Call me Frank." - Frank told him with a smile.
"Then call me Naruto." - Naruto replied the same way.
"Thank you for coming to my house." - Frank said, Naruto noticed that he was dismayed by the recent events.
"My father always said that the best conference room is the living room." - said to dig, to relax the situation a little.

"Is there something on my face?" - Helena asked, Naruto just couldn't take his eyes off her face.

They sat like this until late in the evening, when there was no one left in the restaurant except them and the chairs were removed.
"People always ask me what did I miss the most?" - Naruto said. - "Air conditioner. Satellite television. But these are the answers I give people because these are the answers they expect."
"So why don't you tell them the truth?" - Helena asked.
"What should I tell them? They still won't understand what I've been through." - Naruto confessed.

"It's nice to be with someone who knows how hard it can be." - Helena replied just as sincerely.
Suddenly, Naruto's phone rang.
"Sorry, I need to answer." - he said, pouting and took out his phone.
"This is Lyla. Something is happening. Go outside and call me back." - Naruto sighed and hung up the phone. He looked sadly at Helena, regretting that the night was over.
"Helena, I have to go. This is about my mother, otherwise I would... I would have stayed." - Naruto explained in an apologetic tone. He honestly didn't want to leave. Helena was the first girl with whom he wanted to continue communicating.
"And I would be glad." - she admitted. Naruto smiled at her and pulled out a wad of cash. He put them on the table, but suddenly her hand covered his hand.
"My father will kill me if I let you pay." - He just smiled, removing his hand, but leaving the money.
"I want to confess." - Naruto said, standing up and buttoning his jacket. "Initially, I didn't want to meet you tonight.

"And I'm glad too." - Also admitted Helena. Naruto started to leave, but Helena stopped him. - "Naruto. Be careful with my father."

In the alley.
Naruto called Lila back from the car.
"What happened?" - he asked.
"Do you know Bertinelli's bodyguard, Nick Salvati?" - Lyla started.
"Yes. We drank whiskey together. He looks like a real mafia." - Naruto said sarcastically.
"He pays visits to anyone who owes money to protect the mafia." - Lyla continued.
"Lyla, I'm trying to figure out who shot my mother, not take on the Italian mafia." - Naruto objected.
"Naruto, Solvati and his thugs have already sent 4 people to the hospital tonight." - Lyla retorted. - "If someone doesn't stop them, Russo will be next."
"Wait, wait." - Naruto said stopping Lyla. - "Did you say Russo?"
"It's on the corner of Adams and..."
"I know where it is, Lila. I'm already here."
This silenced Lyla.
"Well, that was fast." - Lyla replied.
"I had dinner with Bertinelli's daughter." - Naruto replied, knowing what was about to happen.
"Naruto, the whole point of your undercover work was to find out who shot your mom, not to drag his daughter into your bed." - Lyla cursed.
"At first, I had no choice. And secondly, who said that I want to drag her into bed? I don't sleep with a girl on a first date." - Naruto replied.
"Sure? Weren't you the one who tried to get me into bed the day after we met? And I saw her photo on the Internet. You have made a great sacrifice." - Lyla snapped.
Naruto wanted to reply to Lyla, but saw a car pull up to the parking lot and people get out of it.
"Salvati is here." - Naruto said and hung up.
At the restaurant.
At the restaurant, Mr. Russo recalculated the day's receipts while his daughter finished cleaning. She was about to lock the doors when Nick Salvati and his staff entered.
"Sorry, we are closed." - the girl said timidly. Solvati simply looked at her and then walked over to Rousseau.
"Oh, Mr. Solvati. Buona sera." - said Mr Russo nervously. - "I have freshly cooked lasagna." - he tried, but Nick cut him off.
"We're not here to eat, mr. Russo." - he said sharply. - "And for the money."
"I've already paid for this month." - Russo objected.
"You need to pay again." - Nick said coldly.
"You are welcome. I can't afford to make another payment if I'm going to..."
"Where are you going? Fill up your bar?" - he asked pitilessly. He swept the wine bottles off the counter and they fell to the ground, scattering wine and broken glass all over the place. Then he looked at one of his thugs. - "Break his fingers."
"Leave him alone!" - Russo shouted at him, tugging at the bandit.
"And her too." - Nick said. Another bandit grabbed the girl.
"Not! Don't touch her!" - Russo yelled. Suddenly, an arrow hit the fuse box, plunging the restaurant into darkness. And then Naruto in the suit was among them, breaking the arm of the goon holding Russo's daughter, and hit the thug from behind with his elbow, yelling to Russo, - "Run!" - They did just that.
Suddenly, a morning biker entered the restaurant, opened fire and killed another thug. He took aim at Nick, but he hid. Naruto threw a Shuriken, disarming him, and moved to attack, at which time Nick escaped. The two masked vigilantes traded blows furiously; Naruto saw that his opponent was well trained in hand-to-hand combat. Now it was important for him to find out who it was and get answers. Naruto puts more power into the punch and pierced through the helmet's visor. It was a good opportunity to rip off the helmet, which he took advantage of. Except he didn't expect to see Helena underneath.
Naruto was shocked and tried to understand what had just happened, at which time Helena managed to escape.
Naruto hideout.
A frustrated Naruto paced the room while Lila sat at her computer.
"I do not understand. Why did she target her family?" - he asked.
"I do not know. You are an expert on family issues." - Lyla joked.

Helena was sitting in front of a headstone in the cemetery near the church. Naruto, dressed in simple jeans, a sweatshirt, jacket and boots, quietly approached her from behind, stopping at a respectful distance.
"Helena." - he called her.
"How did you find me here?" - she asked without even turning around.
"I followed you from your house." - Naruto replied. He looked at the tombstone with the inscription: "Michael Staton.". - "Is this your fiancé?"
"Yes." - she replied, placing the rose at the foot of the headstone before standing up and meeting Naruto's gaze.
"You said losing him changed you." - Naruto said. - "But you never mentioned how."
"When you love someone as much as I loved them, with all my heart, you can't just turn those emotions off when they're taken from you. You still feel things just as deeply. And if that can't be the love you feel, then…" - she took a calming breath. - "Then it becomes hate."
"Naruto, I like you, but you really should stay away from me." - she said sadly as she left.
"Helena." - Naruto called as he followed her.
They both came to a sudden halt when a van pulled up next to the church. Nick Salvati stepped out, his gun aimed at Helena's head.
"Get in." - he demanded, and two other bandits led Helena and Nathan into the van.
Docks. Abandoned Warehouse
Helena and Naruto sat on chairs, their hands cuffed behind their backs.
"My father will kill you for this." - Helena said boldly and looked at Nick with disgust. Nick smiled, and then punched her in the face, causing her and the chair to fall. Naruto tried to contain his anger and assessed the situation.
"I've wanted to do this for years, you fucked up bitch." - Nick confessed, and then directed his men to pick her up again. - "I knew that someone from within was waging war against your father and me. I just never thought it would be like this inside." - He held out his hand, and Helena's silver cross-hung from his fingers. - "You dropped it at Russo."
"And you're smarter than I thought, Nicky." - Helena replied, grinning at the bandit.
"You're not like that." - answered Nick and raised his hand to hit her again.
"Hey!" - Naruto yelled, getting his attention and trying to free himself from the handcuffs. - "You are a businessman, right? So let's talk business."
"It's not about the money, Richie Rich. It's about loyalty." - Nick looked at him with disgust.
"He has nothing to do with this." - Helena objected. Nick turned to face her.
"Then what the hell is the matter?" - he demanded.
"My father ordered Michael killed." - Helena growled and Nick chuckled.
"Of course he did it. He didn't want you to know the truth." - He leaned over her, grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back. - "Your rat fiancé was collecting evidence. And snitched on your father at the FBI!" - Nick let go of her hair and stood up. - "The love of your life should have destroyed your father."
"This is not true." Helena denied it.
"I found a laptop in Michael's bag, Helena." - Nick said, standing in front of Helena. - "There was everything that could send your father and me to jail for the rest of our lives. This computer...
"Was mine." - she said, making Nick stop talking in surprise. - "Michael wasn't the one who spoke to the FBI. It was me." - boldly admitted Helena.
Naruto was surprised by this turn of events.
"You?" - Nick stated.
"My father is a monster." - She spat. - "He doesn't care who he hurts to keep his money and power, and I wanted it to stop."
"Then you yourself are to blame for his death. Not your father who gave the order. Neither I, who completed the task." - Nick said. - "And you."
"Did you shoot Michael?" - Helena stated.
"Right on point. So that he knows it's me." - he boasted, putting the cross around her neck. He stood up and moved back slightly, drawing his pistol and pointing it at Helena. - "Like this."
At that moment, Naruto removed the handcuffs and knocked Nick to the ground. His pistol went flying. One thug tried to grab Naruto, but he punched him in the face before flipping him over when he saw another thug point a gun at him. Helena also freed herself and rushed after Solvati, throwing away his gun as he tried to reach him, and the two began to fight. The gun thug fired at Naruto while he used the other thug as a meat shield, maneuvering closer to the shooter before throwing the dead body at the shooter. Naruto grabbed the thug's arm and broke it, causing him to scream in pain before Naruto snapped his neck.
Helena dominated her fight with Salvati before forcing Nick to back up against the loader with her hand around his throat.
"You will burn in hell for what you did!" - Nick gasped.
"It's worth it." - she replied, and then broke his neck.
"Helena." - Naruto said.
"I didn't have a choice, Naruto." she said, breathing heavily after the struggle. "No one must know my secret."
Bertinelli mansion.
Helena came out of the bathroom in a dressing gown and with wet hair, but stopped when she saw a man standing by the window.
"I would ask how you got here," - she said. - "But the Starling-City vigilante can get in anywhere."
"How did you know?" - Naruto asked, standing with his back to her and looking at the leaves on the tree.
"I saw you fight. And how did you react to what I did." - Helena replied, crossing her arms over her chest. - "This island has changed you in a way that only I can understand."
"Maybe you're right about that." - Naruto admitted. - "But what you're doing is injustice, it's revenge."
"Sometimes revenge is justice." - Helena stated.
"Your father killed your fiancé."
"And what did your father do for you?" she asked. "Isn't the hooded man fighting for justice? What is your vendetta, better than mine? You and I are the same."
"No, it's not."
"Hiding in front of everyone. We hide our anger behind smiles and lies. Pretending to be the people we are no longer." - Helena said with tears in her eyes. "Don't lie to me, Naruto."
"Why are you crying?"
"I do not know. Maybe it's because I've hated my world for so long, and I feel so…"
