Chapter 7
The day had arrived. Goku, Krillin, and I were floating in the sky above the central city. According to Bulma, the planet is set to collide with earth in 5 minutes.
"Remember try to change its course. We're not trying to destroy it." Krillin and I looked at Goku sideways. "That Is what we shouldn't be doing."
Goku and Krillin turned to me. "If my assumption is correct then this might be lord slugs Mothership. He's a notorious evil Namekian Pirate. He's caused a lot of trouble for the PTO in the past. It got so bad once that father and uncle tried to get rid of him because he was disturbing profit margins too much and sent their elites after him." I gave them a serious look "He was even able to defeat the Ginyu force and coolers armored squadron at the same time." That got krillins attention. Since Goku never fought the Ginyu force because of me he doesn't know how strong they were or how good their teamwork was together. "If we're doing this to save the planet then it's shoot to kill got it?" Krillin nodded while Goku looked a little reluctant.
'let's hope he listens to me.'
The planet finally broke through the atmosphere destroying the buildings in the central city with strong winds and earthquakes. We all fired our beams approaching doomsday object but the blast just blew off of the planet.
"WHAT!"
"Oh I forget about that……" they turn towards me "he has anti ki shields. We should've used a drilling technique." The wind started to pick up speed throwing us out of the sky with the approaching planet getting closer and closer to the surface. Before it collided with earth the planet suddenly changed course and exploded sending Chunks of rocks flying everywhere. "If we die here I'm blaming you Kuriza!!!!" Krillin yelled. I only got to see lord slugs ship land before everything went to black.
When I came to I found a fat guy with a sword standing over me. "That seems to have done the trick." I sat up and began to rub my head "did anyone get the number of that bus that hit me?" I was laying in city rubble. Goku was staring at the now frozen water while Krillin was begging the fat guy for a bean.
"Ice in the tropics?" He turned towards me probably sensing my energy. "You know what's going on Kuriza?"
I looked up at the smog in the sky. I narrow my eyes to see a machine in the atmosphere spewing out a fog substance. "So that's how he does it…"
"Huh?" They follow my line of sight "I don't see anything."
"There's a machine in the atmosphere spewing out the black fog and if it's what I think it is the earth is on borrowed time." This was a tactic that the PTO used to employ when we were short-staffed. We sent out drones to observe the ecosystem and after gathering data that it was either a warmer or cooler climate we sent out machines that either spew out a coolant or carbon dioxide into the atmosphere effectively killing all life on the planet because of the sudden climate shift. It was reversible but would generally bring the price of the planet down.
"We better hurry and find the others." Goku and Krillin blasted off towards Piccolo's and Gohan's ki. "Wow, the whole planet is frozen over…" Krillin said unsettled by the frozen landscape full of dead animals. We arrived in time to see piccolo getting kicked off of Gohan. When the green alien tried to finish off Gohan he was interrupted by our ki blast. We landed between the aliens and our friends.
"Coming here was a mistake, my friend. Freezing to death would have been better just ask your friends over there." Goku ignored the small green alien and walked towards Gohan "hey nobody walks away from me when I'm talking!" He kneeled and held Gohan in his arms "I'm sorry dad…"Gohan muttered, "Don't be, your one brave little guy Gohan I'm proud of you." Gohan smiled then fell unconscious. Piccolo struggled to sit up "glad you could make it."
"Don't worry you'll be joining them soon." The green alien taunted. Goku gently sat Gohan back on the ground and walked out of the crater. "I'm only gonna say this once. Remove this fog and get off my planet otherwise, you leave me no choice but to destroy you.." the small green alien started laughing. "You hear that Angela? He says he's gonna destroy us isn't he a clown." The blue alien Angela crossed his arms "got any other strong words to throw at us, little man?"
"Words won't win this battle." The green and blue alien sprung at Goku intent on jumping him. I intercepted the green alien and smacked him aside with my tail. Angela went through Goku's afterimage causing the alien to look around confused. Not seeing the Saiyan anywhere he turned towards me "F-freeza?!" He stuttered taking a step back "not quite." After a few minutes, he mustered up the courage to attack me. He shoved his hands into the ground stretching them out to grab my ankles. "Now medamatcha!!" The green alien recovered from my tail lashing and grew 4 bodies from its back launching them at me. They would have grabbed me if Goku hadn't smacked them out of the air. "You know I could've handled that right." I flex my ki making Angela let go of my ankles. "I could say the same to you." He replied.
We stood back to back facing off against our foes "what's one of Freezas people doing on this planet?" Angela asked slightly unnerved "This is my new home and I'll be damned if I let some circus freaks ruin it." Angela took a step back but then smirked "this development might please lord slug, it will give him the chance to try out his new product." He flew towards me and threw a punch at my head I dodged it with my arms crossed and floated backward. He eventually got tired of my dodging and went for his grappling arms again. " I got you now AHHHH!" He launched a ki blast from his mouth it looked like it hit me and drew up some dust. The dust eventually cleared revealing me to not be harmed at all.
"Is that all? How disappointing. Well, no use dragging this out." I disappeared severing angilas arms while at It. causing him to scream in pain. He started to step back until he felt a hand on his back he looked behind himself and saw me. "Tell king Yama I said hi." I fired a ki blast point-blank eviscerating the blue alien. I shook off his severed hands from my ankles and looked at Goku's fight.
'calling it a fight would be a disservice'
It was completely one-sided with Goku finishing off the alien with the same kaioken combo he did on Nappa in the show. Slug's men that were standing around ran back towards the ship. "You guys think it's over?" Krillin asked "I highly doubt it krillin." I said just in time for the soldiers that ran towards the ship to be blasted out by lord slug.
"Can't find good help anywhere nowadays…" slug looked at Goku and me "if you're here to apply for the soldier job use the side entrance"
"Thanks but no, we're both self-employed." Slug crossed his arms "oh I see well I already staked my claim here so don't interfere." Krillin walked up towards me and Goku "man this bozo is asking for it. Relax guys I got this one." Krillin rushed towards slug "NOOO!!" Goku yelled sensing the the the lslugslslug'sergy knowing Krillin can't win. Lord slug smacked him away sending him a few hundred miles south.
'man I know krillin get's owned is a meme but to see it in real life is kinda sad…..'
We both flew towards lord slug. He teleported before we could hit him we saw him in the sky so Goku fired a ki blast while I tried to approach him again. I attacked a mixture of kame-style kicks and punches with my mix of tail attacks. Right as Goku fired his ki blast slug tried to dodge but he was grabbed by me. "Where do you think you're going? "The ki blast washed over us leaving lord slug slightly damaged with me a little worse for wear. "Wow, I thought we were fighting the mighty Lord slug. Thought he would have been a challenge." I tilt my head to the side in a mocking manner "guess all those reports were wrong."
"Grrr, you won't be saying that for long." Goku joined us in the air "give up your outnumbered"
We attack lord slug in unison. In a flurry of punches, he was pummeled into a mess. I was prepared to finish him off disappointed that slug was so weak. That was until he pulled something from his back pocket.
'wait you can't be serious is that…….'
The slug took a bite out of the spiky red fruit causing his muscles to bulge and his power to spike. He crushed the fruit in his hand then disappeared. "How the hell did he get his hands on that!" Goku turns to me confused "was that fruit supposed to be special?" I was about to tell Goku about the tree of might before I got rocked in the face blasting me a good distance away. Goku and slug started to clash soon after "wow your way stronger than before! What was that fruit?" slug smirked happily at this development "it's a gift from an old business partner." He punched Goku in the gut then the meteor smashed him towards the ground. "Now that I think about it you two look similar." He fired a ki blast at Goku's downed form.
Goku sensing the approaching attack barely rolls out of the way in time only being hit by the explosion. Goku using the shockwave of the explosion backflipped back onto his feet just in time for him to catch slugs kick and throw him a good distance away. I recovered and approached the fight again. Spitting out a couple of teeth along the way. "That bastard got me good." Suddenly I saw slugs body flying towards me from Goku's throw from earlier
'time for some payback
I drilled him in the back with a punch "Rock!" Then I palmed his chin to the sky "Paper!
And for the finale, I fired multiple death beams at him "Gun!"
……...What do you think I was gonna poke his eyes out? That wouldn't do as much damage as a rapid barrage of ki blast would so why bother?
"Take that, you bastard." I huffed out. I put a lot of power into those beams. The dust cleared to reveal a barely damaged slug with another fruit in his hands.
"Goddammit, how many of those do you have!!" He smirked "three but I don't plan to use the last one on your worms." He began to attack me again but I still wanted a few questions answered
"WAIT!!!" He stopped his punch right in my face. "What forgot to say your last words?" I gulped "who gave you those fruits?"
"I don't see why I should tell you but you're a Deadman anyway so why not. I got it from an old business partner. We used to go way back. We disagreed on a certain topic so we split to do our things but We kept in contact with each other." Oh, so slug and turtles were partners at one point. That would probably explain why they worked so well together in XenoVerse 2.
"Welp no use dragging out your death." He rushed me to finish the job but I was saved by Goku dropkicking him from the sky. "Thanks for the save. We got to work together to take him down he ate another fruit from the tree of might." Goku nodded
We rushed him with a double kick which did absolutely nothing. Lord slug grabbed us by our feet and slung us away into a street with bright neon lights illuminating the area. We got back up to our feet watching lord slug walk up to us slowly like he was the terminator or something. I turned to Goku "kaioken barrage?" He nodded and we both got into a horse-riding stance "Kaioken!" We both in unison rushed lord slug. We tried to land a solid hit on him but all our hits were either deflected or straight up dodged. "Kick it up a gear!" "Kaioken times 3!" this time he looked like he had to concentrate on our strikes now. "Kick it up to maximum shift Goku!" "Kaioken times 20!!!!" We started to damage slug now. He was forced to attack us now. "Enough!! He blew us back by flexing his ki. Goku's kaioken flickered off. His body already spazzing out from the strain.
"GOKU!" I ran up beside him "do you need to tag out buddy?" He shook his head and got his muscle spasms under control. "Let's hurry and deal with lord slug. You can worry about me later." Lord slug then appeared out of nowhere grabbed Goku by the scalp and threw him through a couple of buildings. "Oh, shit-" then proceeded to drag me through a couple of buildings. In the middle of slug stomping on my head over and over again I heard an angry yell and saw Goku with a yellow aura around him smash slug through a couple of buildings. The last thing I felt before I blacked out was a feeling of disappointment. I let my early success go towards my head thinking that since I know Canon I could take on anything before the cell saga.
Try as I might I got into that mindset of contentment again. I didn't strive to push myself further and look at where that has gotten me. Saved like some side character. When I came too I was in an alleyway illuminated by neon store signs.
"I-i refuse to be * cough a side character." I tried to get up but to no avail. 'come on push!' my body wouldn't budge.
'come on why won't you listen to me!' I used all of my willpower to try and power up enough to get up. 'i refuse to quit here!'
"AHHHHHH" I finally was able to get onto my feet. I quickly tried to walk out of the alleyway but tripped. Quickly catching myself on a wall is started walking towards Goku's and lord slugs ki signature using the wall as support.
'i refuse to be tossed aside and forgotten!'
And that's a wrap folks. 1 more chapter then lord slug is finished. I was planning on Kuriza transforming into his 5th form but Frost demon transformations work differently from Saiyan's. In my head Canon, they don't need strong emotions to transform just the training and knowledge on how it could be done. That's why cooler turned golden in dragon ball heroes, he had the training due to his 5th form and he just acquired the knowledge.
