Chapter Thirty Two:

If there ever was a place that just about everyone who's been there at least once would always think back on with inevitable fondness, it was the appily named Familiar Forest in the Underworld. A place where any party of people who knows how to get there may try to find a companion for life, with the only thing people complain about being that only one party of people can enter the forest during the full moon. And as luck would have it, Enuma Gremory's Peerage had managed to secure a visit to the forest during the full moon of July, having been unable to go during the previous month due to either hellish training and studying or essentially mandatory attendance at a formal gathering amongst the various Devil-Clans that was hellishly BORING occupying their time, though the latter of the two only applied to Enuma and Shalltear whereas the other three members of Enuma's Peerage were being put through the wringer, either physically, magically, mentally or two (if not all three) of the areas at the same time.

While the level of training (and sped up education in the twins case) that Hermione Granger, Aura and Mare were put through was exhausting, all three of them did agree that it was worthwhile. Especially since they actually felt not only stronger but also grateful in the case of the twins for their sped up education when the two decided to borrow a couple of books that they could finally read and properly understand it's content instead of just looking at the pictures. The books being books about the various creatures and plants of the Supernatural World for the Beast Tamer and Nature Mage respectively. So when the three got word that they were gonna do something different than what had become something of a routine, they actually got excited at the news that they'd be visiting the Familiar Forest in order for the twins to find their Familiars, which would definitely be interesting. And that was a statement that proved itself to be appropriate as the three Devils that already had Familiars lost track of the twins, who rushed into the forest, quite quickly. Or rather, Aura rushed into the forest, using her skills in tree climbing, free running and her new weapon like a grappling hook to rapidly move through the trees with Mare rather futilely running after her on the ground in a state of slight panic.

"Aura! Wait for me!" Shouted Mare as he ran after his sister, only for the Nature Mage's plea to befall on deaf ears because his sister was too excited about the various animals and creatures residing in the Familiar Forest to listen to her little brother (by a few seconds).

"Wow. Look at them go." Muttered Hermione, who had tried and failed to keep track of Aura in the trees, mainly just to herself.

"How long do you think it'll take the two to find a Familiar each?" Asked Shalltear her King. "My money's on… half an hour."

"Sounds like a reasonable time… for Aura. Mare? An hour." Replied Enuma.

"Are we really doing this?" Asked Hermione.

"Yes." Answered both Enuma and Shalltear in unison.

"Okay then. Aura finds her Familiar after half an hour and Mare basically gets adopted by his Familiar after an hour."

"That's oddly specific, but also quite likely to happen… knowing Mare."

"Indeed, Enuma. All we need to do now is wait."

"That's true, Shalltear. But it'd be rather boring to just sit around and wait. Any suggestions on what to do in the meantime, Hermione?"

"I dunno, Battleship?"

"…"

"…"

"…"

"Meh. Why not? It's something that oughta kill some time at least."

"Agreed, Shalltear. Hermione Granger."

"Yes?"

"Prepare to have your fleet sunk!"

"Right back at ya! Enuma Gremory!"
