So, after carefully reanalyzing this story, I've come to a rather unfortunate decision.
From this point on, this story is now canceled.
But for those of you who enjoyed this story, or it's premise, don't worry, I'm not done with it.
Instead, I'm rewriting it.
After rereading the story myself, I realized that the story had a lot of flaws. The pacing was awful, the character development was too good, the characters personalities conflicted way too much, the dialogue definitely wasn't the best...
Honestly, after rereading instead of simply writing, I realized that I was simply jumping to the bits I wanted to do. I wasn't planning enough. And what I did plan usually fell flat because 90% had no set up.
But, as I said, I'm not giving up on the premise. Just reworking it a bit.
I think the biggest changes are going to be their personalities. I'm going to make a guideline of their personalities, how they change, what they would and wouldn't do, etc.
Also, the Christa/Historia dynamic. There aren't really enough fics that focus on the Christa side of the dynamic. Most of it's Historia, and they usually treat the Christa side as a facade. But that just doesn't match up to me.
The way she acted as a child lined up a whole lot more with Christa than Historia, so I feel that contrary to belief, the Historia side wasn't the real her, but her changing due to all the events that had happened.
1. Two people she saw as comrades having betrayed her.
2. Her lover attempting to kidnap her
3. That same lover also leaving her behind for those same traitors
4. Refusal to go retrieve her
5. Forced to become queen
6. Kidnapped by her father to kill one she sees as a friend
And this is off the top of my head.
I just feel like Christa is a bigger part of the character than most realize, and I want to do more with that side.
Anyway, this version of the fic is cancelled, but I am rewriting. However, this fic will stay up for anyone who wants to enjoy it.
