Chapter 5: The Tour

(Rosa's POV)

A/N: In case anyone forgot, last chapter was Casey's POV, this one is Rosa's POV. Both are happening around the same time.

Piper smiled, "Well Rosa, here are the cabins. We'll come back over here later and get you settled in."

Piper's heart wasn't in the tour. She didn't seem happy about having to show me around. She kept looking at the sky, and whenever the name Zeus or Thalia came up, she hesitated and looked sad.

Finally, once we finished the tour, I said, "Piper, is everything alright? You seemed sad throughout most of the tour."

Piper smiled weakly, "This is my first time back at camp in a while, and last time I was here…" She trailed off.

Piper sat down on a log and put her face in her hands. I sat down next to her and put my hand on her shoulder, "You can tell me."

Piper looked up at me, "It's about my ex boyfriend Jason Grace, a Son of Jupiter (A/N: Piper explained to Rose during the tour about Romans). He made a promise to honor every god. He would go back and forth between camps and build shrines. A few months ago, he…" She faltered and started crying. I immediately understood.

"The gods didn't help. They sit on the sidelines and watch while their children sacrifice themselves for their cause. And then they wonder why some demigods go against them."

I hugged her. She melted into the hug and cried silently. A few minutes later, and a boy ran over, "Hey Pipes, you gonna show the new kid to her cabin or what, sis?"

Piper let go, "Be quiet Mitchell." The boy, Mitchell, smiled and ran off.

Piper stood up and held out her hand, "Well enough moping around. Time to get you to the Hermes cabin." I took her hand and stood up.

The Hermes cabin looked most like a cabin to me. Its dull brown paint is chipped off and there is a caduceus overhanging the door. There were lots of voices and movement inside.

Piper walked up to the door and knocked. Two boys that looked like twins opened the door, "Hey Piper what's up?"

Piper pulled me next to her, "Connor, Travis, this is Rosaleen Walker. She's an unclaimed demigod. Rosa, this is Connor and Travis Stoll, twin sons of Hermes and your head councilors until you get claimed."

Then she whispered into my ear, "The taller one is Travis."

I nodded and the Stolls looked at me. Travis said, "Welcome to the Hermes cabin Rosa. Watch where you step by the way." Connor grinned.

I frowned and they laughed. Connor said, "Don't worry. We don't prank new campers until they've been here a week. But I can't make any promises that you won't accidentally step on one."

Piper smiled and handed me a backpack, "Here's some supplies."

Travis said, "Does she have a weapon yet?"

Piper slapped him, "Obviously not. She just got here-"

"Actually," I said, pulling my dagger out of my own backpack (A/N: not the one Piper gave her) "I do have a weapon."

The three of them stared at my dagger. After a few minutes, Piper said, "Could you let me see that?"

I handed her the dagger and she examined it. Connor said, "Where did you get that?"

"My dad."

"Is he mortal?" Travis said

I nodded. Travis and Connor's expression turned into pure shock. They pulled each other inside and started whispering to each other. All I heard was, "Rosa… mortal dad… celestial bronze dagger… impossible…"

Piper handed me my dagger back and said, "Connor, Travis, get her settled into your cabin and answer her questions."

They nodded and Piper walked off. The Stolls led me inside.

Travis smiled, "Everyone meet Rosaleen. She's an unclaimed demigod, so we won't have to deal with her for very long. Make her feel welcomed please."

Then we heard a conch shell sound. Connor smiled, "Line up everyone! Dinner!"

-Time Skip:The End of Last Chapter-

I stared in shock. I was wearing a long, white, sleeveless dress that went down to my ankles. The dress was decorated with white, gold, light pink, and light gray flowers. My black and white Nike shoes were now golden sandals. There were golden bracelets on my arms and a golden flower necklace. My wavy hair that was once in a ponytail was now let down, perfectly brushed with golden strings in my hair. I wasn't completely sure, but I had a feeling I was wearing makeup. Thankfully, I had left my backpacks in the Hermes cabin, otherwise I bet those would have been gone, too.

Chiron smiled, "It seems our new camper has been claimed." He knelt down, "All hail Rosaleen Walker, Daughter of Aphrodite."

Everyone followed Chiron's lead and knelt. I spotted Casey in the crowd with that boy Nico. Casey caught me looking at him and smiled. I smiled back and everyone else stood.

Piper stood up in the crowd, "Come on Rosa. Welcome to Cabin 10."

I walked over to sit with her. I said, "When does this stuff come off? Why did Mom do this?"

Piper smiled, "She does the same to every female child of hers. It can last up to a week."

"A week?!"

She nodded, "Don't worry. You can change clothes, your hair and face will just look that way until the blessing ends. Trust me, Mom stole my favorite snowboarding jacket when I got claimed. It could be worse."

I laughed, "So what now?"

Piper smiled again, "Now I'm your head councilor. After the campfire we'll get your stuff from the Hermes cabin and get you a bunk in Cabin 10. Do you have any clothes?"

I nodded, "My dad sent me here with some clothes. They're in my backpack."

"Good. You can change into some clothes when we get back."

We turned our attention back to Chiron, "Tomorrow, we will be having a game of Capture the Flag with the Hunters of Artemis. The goddess sent the Hunters here to have a friendly match with us so her Hunters could do some training and so could our campers."

Some mumbling and groaning started up among the campers. I guess they didn't like having matches against the Hunter, and they probably weren't very "friendly."

Chiron chuckled, "Don't worry campers. From what he told me, we should be aided by Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase-"

"Somebody say our names?" A male voice from behind said.

Anddddd that's all for today? Who guessed that Rosa's mom was Aphrodite?

So what do you think will happen now?

Also, I'm thinking about either making next chapter Casey's POV again and having Percy and Annabeth hang around him since Percy is his brother and Casey needs a weapon, or having Rosa just follow them around all day, which at the moment I think the only thing that could really happen is her hoping to have a relationship like Percabteh or something. I don't know. You decided
