The mission was a failure.

Your display against Kylo, throwing him out the room, had proven to him you were strong in the force. He just didn't know HOW strong you were. You had nothing left to do here. You needed to return to your masters and seek out the wisdom of your grandfather.

Pulling yourself from the shower floor you grabbed a towel and stared at your face in the mirror as you wrapped the towel around your figure. You couldn't help but compare yourself to the jedi Rey. Your face wasn't really what one would call pretty. Your family had always said you were adorable in that chubby cheeked type of way. Your nose was like a button and your eyes, well they were truly the one thing you did like about yourself.

You weren't thin like the Jedi. You always carried a little bit of weight, it was something that women in your family always had. You took after your grandmother in that way. You knew why the Emperor had married you, it had nothing to do with your looks, but what you brought to the marriage.

You knew what you had to do. It was of the opinion of those at one with the force that you were to finally bring the order and balance that Darth Vader had upset when he kneeled in front of Palptine. Sighing you walked into your closet and pulled out a pair of black pants and a tight black tunic that you layered with a dark jacket. You touched the back of the jacket feeling the raised embroidery of the House of Kenobi. If you weren't touching it you wouldn't even know it was there.

Grabbing a large bag you began gathering what you needed. You wouldn't be coming back. In your heart you knew this was a suicide mission. You would do what needed to be done so that others could live in peace.

Once your bag was packed you walked to the balcony door and threw them open. You loved Naboo, you figured it was fitting that the last Kenobi was to die on the planet that had born your family. Pulling yourself up onto the railing of the baloney you touched your belt and realized you forgot your lightsaber. Reaching out your hand you felt the force jerk it from it's hiding place. As the weapon flew to your hand, you turned it over in your palm. The double ended saber almost sang in happiness as you chained to your belt.

Looking down the three story jump you focused as you leaped into the air. Behind you, you could hear the blaster doors being opened but it was too late. The Empress was dead, long live the Gray Kenobi.

Kylo fumed as he stepped into his quarters. He couldn't believe the rage and power he felt from you. He couldn't understand why he had never felt it before. It was almost as if he was blocked but yet it felt like he knew that she was powerful all along. Yet he felt like a fucking fool after dressing in janitor closet close to his wife's quarters.

Dropping to his knees he tried to take deep breaths. He needed to center himself so he could find his grandfather's guidance. Once Palpatine was dead he found he could talk to his grandfather. All those years it was Palpatine that stopped his communication with his grandfather all those years.

Closing his eyes he centered himself and felt the pull of the force. When he heard a deep sigh he opened his eyes to find his grandfather and Uncle standing in their force ghost essence looking at him, "Grandson….why? Just why?"

Kylo run a hand through his hair, "You knew? You knew how powerful she was!"

Anakin nodded, "We did. We felt it was the best way to create a better path for you. To bring peace."

Kylo huffed, "I see how that worked out."

He heard Luke chuckle, "Well it is you. You don't have the best track record with women."

Kylo glared at his uncle, "What you about? Like you're one to talk. Had you even had sex in your lifetime?"

Anakin groaned, "STOP! Now you need to figure out what to do because she's going to run."

Kylo's head snapped up, "WHAT?"

Anakin knelt down to look his grandson in the eyes, "She is a Kenobi. She is the only way we could figure to save you for the darkness. She's why you were able to heal Rey and return here."

Kylo shook his head, "No, I healed Rey."

Luke nodded, "With her help. She was there too. She was the reason you were thrown out the pit. You didn't crawl, she caught you!"

Kylo stood up pacing, "NO! I would have felt her! He would have felt her!"

Anakin stood up closing his eyes, he nodded to someone, his eyes snapping open, "Ben she's leaving NOW! You need to stop her! If she leaves we can't see what happens to either of you."

Kylo ran from the room, his knights falling in behind him as he got to the doors of your quarters. Throwing open the doors, he gasped as he saw you standing on the railing of the balcony, your lightsaber in hand. He threw out his hand to stop you but it was too late. You jumped falling into the green forest that surrounded the Royal Palace in Naboo. Staring down he knew he had to find you.

Pulling your hood up you walked through the marketplace a small smirk on your lips at the children you saw playing there. You had contacted your masters as soon as you hit the forest and if all went well once you made it out of Theed, your masters would be waiting for you on the edge of Gungan territory.

You could hear fighters scrambling above you and knew that the Emperor was looking for you. Pulling your hood closer to your face you tighten your grip on your bag as you cut down an alleyway to try and keep out of sight. You could hear the sound of strom troopers getting closer. You smirk as you cut down a second alleyway, he was crazy if he thought strom troopers would stop you.

Before you came out of the second alley you saw Cardo Ren standing in your way, "Empress, the Emperor is looking for you."

You nodded at him, "Yes and you didn't find me."

Cardo Ren chuckled, "You don't think that old Jedi mind trick would work did you?"

You shrug, "It was worth a try."

Pulling your lightsaber from your belt the dark red and purple blade sang as you stood your ground, "I would suggest you walk away now. I'm not in the mood today and I'm afraid you won't leave here alive."

Cardo Ren chuckled, "I'm not going to stop you. I…..Empress….I'm your guard. When the Emperor made me your personal guard….I take that seriously. Please search my mind, I just want to help."

Standing there with your lightsaber in your hands you slowly pushed into his mind and you saw that he was being truthful. Standing down you turned off your lightsaber and nodded to him, "Keep up."

He fell behind you and the two of you ran toward the clearing. Once you stopped at the tree line Cardo looked around, "Empress, what are we waiting for."

Looking up you see a familiar dark ship lowering down into the clearing. Cardo Ren stared at the ship, his mouth open, "Empress….is that….he's dead….."

You smile wide, "My masters are here."

Cardo Ren falls in behind you as the cargo door opens to reveal a dark hooded being with four metal legs. You approach and lower yourself to the ground bowing, "Master."

Flicking off his hood Darth Maul sighs looking down at you, "You are trouble."

You smirk as you look up at your master, "You wouldn't have me any other way."

Darth Maul motions for you to get up and you can see Cardo fall in step behind him. As you enter the control room of the ship the copilot turns to look at you, "I swear the Kenobis and the Skywalkers are going to be the death of me. So what went wrong?"

Sighing as you look up at your second master, Ashoka Tano smirks at you, "Were you not given a mission?"

You nodded, "I was master."

Ashoka sighed, "We know what happened. Your grandfather has been driving us both crazy since last night. Get yourself strapped in, it's going to get bumpy."

You motion to Cardo and take him in the back getting strapped in. You sigh as you feel the ship pull away from the planet. After a few minutes the ship is clear from the planet and you unbuckle standing up waiting as Ashoka and Maul come walking into the common area. Maul glares at Cardo for a few moments and makes his way over to the galley grabbing a mug of caf, he sits down looking at Ashoka, "She's in love with him."

Ashoka sighs, "Well I could've told you that. But she doesn't even know about her hitchhiker."

Maul groans, "There will be no shutting up from Kenobi now. Can you just scatter my body to the stars, I don't want to be stuck in Force Hell with that man."

Ashoka smirks as she approaches you, her hands going to your stomach. You gasp as you feel the force flow through her to you, "What?"

Ashoka's face softens, "Search your heart."

You feel tears leaking from your eyes, "I….I'm not the one to bring balance."

Ashoka nods, "These children will bring balance, because they were created out of love."

Your heart feels like it will explode as a wave of nausea sweeps through you. Running to the fresher you fall to your knees emptying your stomach into the toilet. Ashoka kneels next to you making soothing motions on your back, "It is as it should have always been."

Looking at her you don't know what she means, but one thing is for sure if your Lord Husband finds out about the children, there won't be anywhere you can hide.

Kylo paced his quarters, his mother sitting at the table watching her son fret, "I'm sure she's fine."

Kylo growled, "If I hadn't listened to you….."

Leia chuckled, "If I had a penny for everytime I heard that from your father and uncle."

Kylo sat down hard, "What if something has happened?"

Leia sighed, "Your grandfather or uncle would've told me. We knew that getting her and Rey in the same room might be tricky."

Kylo sighed, "What I did, what she saw in my mind, those weren't my thoughts."

Leia sighed, standing up she went to the window looking out, "No, Rey is tainted. Something or someone has made her force signature muddy almost. It's why I came to you when she showed up. I just…I wish I would've known how powerful the Empress was before I started this. I'm afraid she might just kill Poe."

Kylo looked at his mother, "What are going to do now?"

Leia turned to answer him, when his com went off. Kylo sighed, "WHAT HUX?"

Hux chuckled, "I have a com from Cardo Ren, it's on a secure channel."

Kylo jumped up rushing to his desk, "Put him through."

In a matter of seconds an image of Cardo Ren appeared on his knee, "My master."

Kylo nodded, "Where are you?"

Cardo chuckled, "I don't even know how to answer that. We're on Anto 3, it's a moon of Vitaso. But we're not alone."

Kylo felt his hands clench tight, "Who is with you?"

Cardo swallowed hard, "Her masters are here and I can't even believe who they are, it's Ashoka Tano and Darth Maul. Your wife is a Gray Jedi."

Kylo looked at his mother who mirrored his shock, looking back at Cardo as Cardo cleared his throat, "Oh, and it looks like….well….the Empress is pregnant. It's why she was having trouble controlling her emotions."

Kylo nodded, "I will be there by morning. Send me your location and notify me if you move before I get there."

"Yes my master."

Cardo Ren sighed as he turned off his com. Walking out of the fresher he was greeted with the red lightsaber under his throat, Darth Maul grinned, "Want to tell me who you were connecting with boy?"
