The storm picked up as the night went on, shaking the clothe of the hut Desi and Thor had put together. In the middle of the night, a loud clap of thunder startled Desi awake, making her jump.

"It's okay, it's just thunder," Thor soothed as he rolled over and pulled her to his chest. "It decided to storm," he said softly.

"It just startled me; I was only half awake." Desi said softly, burying her face in his chest. "I woke up to use the bathroom... but I really don't want to go out in that rain." She chuckled.

"Hopefully it ends soon," he said softly. Thor ran his hand through her hair to soothe her.

"If it doesn't, I'm dragging you out there with me." Desi chuckled, then turned her attention to his neck, kissing just below his jaw.

Thor sighed and tilted his head back. "You're extra cuddly this evening," he murmured.

"I'm always clingy, and I finally have you all to myself." She said softly, rubbing his side.

He chuckled and nuzzled into her neck. "Yes you do," he murmured, then kissed her skin softly.

"I could always move to the other side of the hut, if it bothers you." Desi teased but made no sign of actually moving. Instead, she kissed just below his earlobe.

"I don't think I want you going anywhere," he said in a low rumble.

"What do you intend to do if I move?" She teased playfully.

"I could pin you to the ground," Thor suggested.

"That sounds exciting." Desi grinned, then lightly pushed away as if she meant to leave.

Thor let out a rumble from his throat and grabbed her tighter around the waist. "Testing me?"

"Maybe." She teased, lightly trying to wiggle away again.

Thor smirked before he quickly grasped her wrists and placed her arms over her head, pinning her on her back, while he hovered over her. "What do you think now?"

"I think I'm starting to feel that need for you." Desi said softly, breathing a little heavier now.

Thor raised an eyebrow at her. "Oh, really now?"

"You are very sexy like this." Desi grinned. She tested his hold on her wrists, but not actually trying to get away.

"Like a dominant partner?" Thor asked. He barely tightened his grip, not wanting to hurt her.

"I didn't think I would like it, but it's definitely turning me on." Desi said, wrapping her legs around his waist.

He bent down and placed a lingering kiss to her lips. "Maybe I should do it more."

Desi returned his kiss. "I think I would be alright with being bound."

Thor's eyes widened slightly as he stared down at her. "I may be able to arrange that."

"I'm sure you could." She said softly, noticing all the different ways his body responded to her. She tried to pull him closer with her legs to encourage more contact.

Thor smirked as his eyes lit with mischief. "What're you trying to do?"

"I'm trying to encourage you to be more open with me... is it working?" Desi asked, already knowing the answer based on his reactions.

"Looks like you're trying to get me to come closer," he retorted as he held his ground and wouldn't let her move him.

Desi stopped and met his eyes again. "Are you... going to make me beg?"

"No, not unless you want me to," Thor told her softly.

"I want you to relax and do as you please with me." Desi replied, then leaned up to peck his lips.

Thor returned her kiss while he ran his hands down her arms. He propped himself down on his elbows then nuzzled into Desi's neck. "I am relaxed. You make me that way."

"Maybe, but you still act nervous at times... times like this. I don't want you to worry." she said truthfully.

He kissed her neck, then her jaw. "I'm not worried. I just think of you before myself."

She gave a soft moan. "Alright, I will let it go, but you can try anything you want with me."

"That might take some getting used to hearing," he said with a chuckle, then nipped her neck.

"I will have to remember to tell you more often then." Desi said, moaning softly again when he nipped her neck. With her hands now free, she tangled her hands into his hair and tugged it gently.

Thor hissed at the feeling and captured his lips with hers. "Getting excited sweet girl?"

"I've been excited since we started this." Desi said, breathless from the kiss.

Thor pecked her lips once more before he turned his head to look outside. "The rain has stopped. Do you still wish to use the bathroom?"

"I could probably wait, but I better take advantage of the break in the storm." Desi said, but also didn't want Thor to move off of her.

"I'll wait for you right here," he said softly, then kissed her cheek before he moved to the side to let her up.

Desi sighed at the loss of contact, then got up and left the hut. She came back only a few minutes later and carried one of the small saddle bags with her. "Our food and toiletries nearly got soaked." She told him, shivering again.

"We forgot about them," Thor replied as he took them from her and sat it to the side. "I will see what we can save when I can light a new fire. Come here," he said as he held up the blanket for her, "no need for you to stay cold."

Desi laid down and curled up to him under the blanket. "It is cold out there, really cold."

Thor wrapped his arms around her and rubbed her back. "We're safe and warm in here."

"I know and I love it." Desi said, nuzzling into his neck.

Thor continued to rub her back, trying to warm her up. "How are you feeling now darling?"

"I'm warming up nicely." Desi said, no longer shivering. "It's nearly dawn."

He kissed her temple softly just as thunder sounded in the distance once more. "We should sleep, love."

"I will try, but I can't make any promises right now." Desi said, blushing.

"What's the matter?" He asked her.

"I don't know... I can usually control my urges better than this." She replied, embarrassed.

Thor nuzzled her neck softly. "How can I help you?"

"Other than ravishing me senseless until this mood passes, I'm not sure." Desi admitted.

A chill rolled through Thor at her words. "That's rather tempting."

"I don't know what brought this on, but I suggest you take advantage of it." Desi grinned.

He chuckled before he pulled her beneath him and captured her lips. "I know clothing will be no issue."

Desi deepened the kiss, then grinned when they broke apart. "It's good I thought ahead about the clothes."

"You thought ahead?" He asked while he trailed his hands along her sides.

"Remember, I suggested we stay undressed earlier, so we wouldn't have to fuss with taking our clothes off again." She reminded him.

Thor smirked as he bent down to kiss along her collarbone. "I do, although I haven't had the chance to remove my shirt again."

"We better make time for that." Desi chuckled, enjoying the feel of his lips.

He smiled against her skin before he captured a nipple in his mouth and rolled his tongue against it. "Really now?" He murmured.

She moaned in reply, arching close to him. "You know how to drive me crazy."

He did the same to the other side before he kissed down her stomach, knowing his beard was scratching against her skin. "You do the same to me."

"I like seeing you helpless beneath me." Desi murmured, feeling herself grow wetter.

"Do you want to be on top then?" Thor asked before he kissed just below her belly button.

Desi's hips arched closer to him as she groaned softly. "This is bordering on torture..."

Thor smirked mischievously. "That's the point darling."

"It is so much worse with this new mood though." Desi grumbled, then pushed Thor over so he would be on his back.

He widened his eyes at Desi's strength before he ran his hands up her thighs to rest on her hips. "My take charge girl."

"Lay back and enjoy." Desi grinned, then leaned down and slowly kissed along the trail of hair leading down his lower abdomen.

Thor sighed and let his eyes close at the feeling of her warm lips on his skin. "That feels nice."

She smiled and kissed lower, stopping just shy of his member. "I'm glad you like it." She said, letting her lips brush over his as she spoke.

His hips slightly elevated at her touch, making him narrow his eyes at her. "Tease."

"Isn't that the point?" She asked with a little grin, then traced the little trail of hair with her tongue.

He gasped and let his hips thrust upward. "You are a brat."

"I regret nothing." Desi chuckled, then moved down to kiss his inner thighs.

Thor rumbled in his throat but opened his legs wider for her. "You're playing a dangerous game."

"Am I? What will happen if I continue?" She asked, then lightly nipped his thigh.

A practical growl left his throat as he propped himself up on his elbows to look down at her. "A taste of your own medicine."

"If you recall, you were just doing the same to me, so this is just a taste of your own medicine." Desi grinned, keeping eye contact as she kissed higher up on his thigh.

He watched her, his blue eyes alight. "How long are you going to tease me?"

"Lay down again and tell me what you want." Desi said, using a more commanding tone than normal.

Thor dropped back down with a groan. "I want you."

"How do you want me?" She asked, letting him feel her breath on his arousal.

"Any way I can have you," he breathed. "By mouth, riding me... anything."

"My handsome prince sounds desperate." Desi grinned. She moved to straddle his waist, then lined him up and lowered herself down onto him.

Thor hissed and placed his hands on her hips, helping to guide her. "Oh... shit."

"Gods you feel so good." Desi moaned, then started moving her hips to a quick pace.

"Yes... exquisite," Thor gasped in reply as he helped her ride him.

Desi braced herself with her hands on his chest, scratching him as her pleasure built. Each time she moved down, she made sure to take him to the hilt.

Thor's eyes were locked on Desi and every movement she made while he ran his hands up along her ribs then back down to her hips. "That's it Des. Let the feeling take over," he breathed.

"Don't want it... over that quick..." Desi panted, but a minute later, her climax surged through her entire body.

A smile came to Thor's face as he marvelled at how Desi's body reacted, which in turn made him groan and follow her in his own climax. Once they calmed, Desi collapsed on his chest, completely spent. She pressed gentle kisses to the scratch marks she had made while trying to catch her breath.

Thor sluggishly rubbed her back and kissed her cheek. "I've never seen you be that way before."

"I've never felt like this before..." Desi said softly. "I don't know what brought it on, but I feel better right now."

He kissed her temple and held her close. "Whatever it was, I'm okay with it," he said with a chuckle.

"Are you sure it wasn't too torturous for you?" She chuckled, then nuzzled his neck. "I think I'm ready to go back to sleep now." She joked.

"Yes darling. I rather enjoyed it," he said softly as he rolled them to the side.

Desi gave a soft groan when the movement made him pull out of her. "I did as well. You always feel amazing."

Thor furrowed his brow at her. "Are you sore?"

"A little, but that's to be expected after all that we did. I knew we would be together more than usual since this is our first vacation. So I did bring some potions to help." Desi chuckled, then snuggled up to his chest.

"Would you like to sleep for the night? We can make that soup in the morning."

"I think it's already close to morning, but a little more sleep does sound nice." She said softly.

Thor pulled the blankets around them both. "A nice rest will do us both good."

"Are we staying another night?" Desi asked, then yawned.

"That depends on the rain," he told her sleepily. "I didn't think it would storm."

"I thought it was nice to hear the rain so close. It was even romantic." Desi admitted.

He smiled at her while he caressed her side lazily. "It has been very romantic."

Desi looked down and saw the scratches she left on his chest and frowned. "I... I hurt you."

Thor looked down at his chest, then shrugged. "It will heal," he said softly, then kissed her forehead. "Let's get some sleep."

"Please at least let me put something on the scratches, they look painful." Desi said, feeling bad.

"Darling, they will be fine," he argued sleepily.

"Alright, go to sleep. We can worry about it later." Desi said softly, then pressed a soft kiss to his neck.

He pecked her lips then pulled her to him, entwining their legs together. "Goodnight my sweet girl."

"Goodnight my handsome prince." Desi said softly. She waited until Thor went to sleep, then she pulled her bag over and found an ointment for the scratches. Once she had them tended to, she pushed her bag away, then snuggled up to him again and went right to sleep.

Thor woke to a loud bird's call later that morning. He opened a flap of their tent to see the bright blue sky free of clouds, which made him smile. He slowly sat up and pulled on a pair of shorts from their clothes before he quietly slipped out of the hut to try and build a fire.

Desi woke up an hour later to find Thor gone from the hut. She quickly pulled on a dress, then walked out of the hut to find him.

"Good morning darling," Thor greeted as he stood by Frey, brushing her fur. "The Fire is stoked and ready. It took some time to find some dry wood to use."

"Thank you for getting it going. I will get the soup cooking; it shouldn't take long." Desi said. She walked over and kissed him before going to get the food ready.

He smiled at her and watched her walk away before he continued to tend to Frey, since he'd gotten overly wet in the storm the night before. "Thank you for the ointment by the way."

"I couldn't sleep until I knew you were tended to... I will always be a healer first." She chuckled, then got the soup in a pot over the fire.

Thor chuckled as he let Frey graze, then walked over to her and helped cut up a few potatoes. "I know you are. It's one of the things I admire about you."

Desi cut the carrots to add to the broth. "Even if I wasn't a healer, I would still take care of you."

"I believe it," Thor replied sweetly. He reached for a can of spice and added some of it to the broth. "What other veggies do we have?"

"I already added the peas and celery. I'm not sure if there's anything else in the bag. I'll check when I'm finished with the carrots." Desi answered.

Thor nodded as he sat back in his spot and grabbed a small piece of wood to whittle with.

"What are you doing?" Desi asked curiously. She watched him as she stirred the soup.

"Whittling. Father taught me and Loki both how to," he told her.

"That is very impressive." Desi said, truly meaning it. "What are you going to make?"

He shrugged as he continued with the piece of wood. "I haven't decided."

"Can you teach me? I'm fairly good with my hands."

He smiled at her. "Sure, I can show you sometime."

"You are very skilled with your hands." Desi grinned, meaning it in more than one way.

Thor smirked at her and continued to work with the piece of wood. "As are you."

"I try to stay in practice." Desi chuckled.

"Oh, I know you do," he answered with a laugh.

Desi smirked then stirred the soup again, getting quite hungry.

"That's starting to smell good," Thor commented.

"As soon as the potatoes are fully cooked, it will be done. I feel like I'm starving." Desi said, hearing her stomach grumble.

"We have been quite active. I assume that would be why," Thor stated smugly.

"Don't sound too proud." Desi chucked, then checked the soup again. After what felt like hours, it was finally done and she served their breakfast, glad the servants had packed little bowls for them.

Thor eagerly ate his soup and smiled over at Desi. "This is very good."

"It did turn out very nice." Desi agreed, already half done with her bowl.

After quickly finishing his bowl, Thor reached out and filled another for himself. "Would you like to stay another night? I cannot guarantee that it will not storm again," he told her.

"I do, but I'm also worried about Laney." Desi admitted, then finished her bowl and set it aside.

Thor nodded in understanding. "We can go back today if you wish. I worry about her myself." He began to eat the second bowl of soup, lounged back on the blanket he'd spread out for them that morning.

"You wouldn't be upset about not spending another night?" Desi asked him. "I do truly want to stay longer, and if she was in a better condition, going back wouldn't even cross my mind."

"Darling, no. I don't mind. I know you care for her, and I care for her as well. She is my soon to be sister after all," he said with a grin on his face.

"Mine as well! Laney has always been a sister to me though." Desi said happily and looked at the ring on her finger.

Thor continued to grin as he watched her stare at her ring. "I hope you like it," he said softly. "Loki helped me pick it out."

"I love it, and I would have loved any other ring you might have picked." Desi said, then moved over to curl up to him. "I love you so much."

"I love you too," he murmured, then kissed her temple softly after he'd put his bowl off to the side. "I'm sorry this couldn't have been longer my sweet girl. A lot of things are going on at the palace."

"I'm sorry as well, but it has still been a wonderful time. We will plan to have more time next time." Desi said, already looking forward to the next time. She leaned up and softly kissed his jaw, only to capture his lips instead.

He smirked down at her, smug that he stole a kiss from her. "When would you like to pack up?"

"I don't know. I don't see any need to rush, but I don't want to get back super late either." She said, very content to just lay there with him for the moment.

"We can start packing up in the afternoon then. It's not past the morning hours yet," he told her.

"That sounds good. I wish it was warm enough to go for another swim, but this is also perfect... just relaxing here together." Desi said truthfully.

"Relaxing in the morning sun is perfect," Thor said softly.

"It's even better when it's so calm and peaceful. I love the palace but it's always busy, even at night." Desi replied.

Thor nodded in agreement as he moved to lie on his back and stare at the clouds. "Nature is the best therapy at times. It took me a long time for me to realize it's a good thing to just stop and relax. I used to always go looking for danger and trouble."

"What about now? Have you stopped looking for trouble?" Desi asked curiously.

"I stopped when I learned my lesson during my banishment to Midgard. Then losing Loki really made me do some soul searching."

"I didn't know you had been banished. What happened?" She asked curiously. "If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine." She added.

"It's alright," Thor replied, "I don't mind. The day I received moljinr, the ceremony was disrupted by a frost giant that somehow got in the palace. It outraged me that they came to Asgard and I wanted to fight them. I ended up taking Loki and the warriors three to Jotunheim and I threatened to fight Laufey. A scuffle happened before father interfered. It was also during that time that Loki found out his real identity."

Desi listened with a furrowed brow. "Laufey would have waged war against Asgard had you actually fought... and that must have been a horrible way for him to find out." She said truthfully. "I can't believe you were actually banished though, that seems harsh."

Thor shrugged. "I tried to start an unneeded war. Looking back on it, father was in his right to banish me, stripped of my power."

"It still seems harsh. Laufey may be quick to go to war, but he can also be very reasonable when given respect." Desi said and shook her head. "What ended your banishment?"

"I sacrificed myself to save someone from the destroyer Loki sent to Midgard," he told her. "My power was returned, and I was able to go back home."

"Both of you have changed so much, it's so hard to imagine what you like before." She said and caressed his neck. "Who were you trying to save?"

"Jane and her friends," Thor answered honestly. "That's when I met her, a few years ago now."

Desi gave a little nod. "What is she like?"

Thor grinned at the memory of her. "She's assertive and strong willed. Jane studies the stars and has actually made the discovery of finding The Bifrost on her own. I had never seen a mortal so interested in things that weren't of her own planet."

"Would it be rare for a Midgardian to discover the Bifrost on her own?" Desi asked, genuinely curious.

"Very, I would think. She had special instruments to detect things as it was happening. I ended up telling her all about Asgard one night when I brought her friend Eric back to her. Eric had tried to out drink me in ale. It didn't end well," he said with a chuckle.

"She honestly sounds perfect for you." Desi said softly, trying to hide that she felt a little jealous. "Why didn't it last?"

Thor shrugged as he ran his hand along her side, having one arm wrapped around her. "I left to come here when I was able, then Loki fell. I didn't return to Midgard until two years later after I found out Loki was alive. I haven't seen her since I left the first time."

"Do you want to see her again?" She asked in barely more than a whisper.

He turned onto his side and gently tilted her head up so he could see her eyes. "I used to. But that was before you came into my life. I still miss her sometimes, but I love you," he said softly.

"I know you do but hearing about her... I don't know." Desi sighed, knowing she shouldn't feel jealous. "What happened with Laufey? Did he forgive your attack?" She asked, changing the subject.

"Father talked him out of it. But while I was banished, Father went into Odinsleep, which made Loki temporarily King," Thor explained. "During that time, he bargained something with Laufey but it was a trick. Loki killed him."

Desi's eyes went wide with shock. "What? You can't be serious! My father was friends with him."

"Laufey was a tyrant of a man. He's actually Loki's biological father," Thor pointed out.

"He was good to my father, that is all I know." Desi said defensively. "Does Loki know?"

Thor nodded. "I don't mean any ill will towards Laufey. But yes, Loki figured it out and I feel he felt even worse knowing his real father had abandoned him."

"Did he know Laufey was his father when he killed him, or did he figure it out after?" Desi asked, knowing it would have been bad either way. "The way father spoke of him, he was hard on his children, but he didn't seem like one who would abandon his children."

"That is a question you would have to ask Loki himself," Thor told her as he moved to sit up. "I know that Laufey wanted the casket back, which father had taken from them in the last war they had. Other than that, I don't know much."

Desi sat up as well. "Something just seems off about Loki being abandoned. There's a big part of that story we are missing. I have no idea what it might be, but I know there's so much more to it." She said, frustrated by it. "Does your father still have the casket?"

Thor shook his head. "I'm not sure where the casket is. I would put money on Loki still having it though."

"Wait, why does he have it?" Desi asked, starting to get confused.

"Loki used it as a bartering chip with Laufey I assume, and just hasn't put it back in the vault. Although I haven't been in the vault in some time. He could have put it back," Thor pondered aloud.

"At least it might be with a Jotun... that's a good thing, right?" Desi asked, not knowing much about the casket.

"If Loki has it in his possession, it is a good thing to know it is still on Asgard and not somewhere it could get into the wrong hands. But also good for a Jotun to have it, yes," Thor explained. "Although I still have my thoughts if Loki truly is pure Jotun."

"Would your father have let Loki keep it?" She asked curiously and laid her head on his shoulder. "You don't think he's pure Jotun?"

"I'm not sure if father would know if Loki has it. But he might and has just kept quiet." Thor turned and kissed her temple. "We should start packing up. We can still talk while we do."

Desi kissed his jaw, then stood up. "I can do another blood test to confirm he is pure." She said, not sure if that would help.

Thor began to pack their things that sat around them, leaving their bowls, wanting to wash them in the pond. "That would be up to you. It's just strange to me that he is so much smaller than the others."

Desi brought the blankets out of the hut and folded them before packing them away. "It can happen at times. When something like that does happen, it's usually made up for. For example, Loki is smaller, but his bone is denser than any other Jotun on record."

"Which I also find a little strange if I think about it," Thor commented as he removed the soup pot and doused the fire. "What would you like to do with the soup?"

"Should we take it back with us?" She asked, not sure what to do with the leftovers. "What is strange to you?"

"How would we take it with us?" Thor asked as he began to take the covering off the hut. "I would hate to waste good food."

"I'm not sure how we would take it with us." Desi admitted. She walked over and helped him take the covering off the hut.

Thor sighed softly. "I guess we'll have to pour it out. Another animal may eat on it." He continued to dismantle the hut, starting to take apart the poles.

Desi folded the fabric, then helped with the remaining poles. "What's on your mind?" She asked softly.

"Something just doesn't sit right with me about how Loki was abandoned all that time ago. I think you're right that there's something someone is hiding," he said. "I just wonder if Laufey had a night with someone he shouldn't have."

"A lot of it doesn't make sense... I know my father knew something about it, but I don't know if there is anyone else who would have answers." Desi told Thor. "Is it known who his mother is? She would know everything..."

Thor shook his head. "I don't know who his mother is, but Orin stated that she is alive. I really need to try and get answers from that man."

"If he has not left yet, you can go see him right away if you want. I don't mind, and I need to check on Laney anyway." She said, wanting answers as well. She packed up the poles, then gathered the bowls to go rinse them.

"Are you sure?" Thor asked. He walked over to Frey and began to tack her up. "I don't want to rush away from you, just getting back to the palace."

"I'm sure. This is really important, and it's not like you will be gone for a long time." Desi said with a little smile. "If Loki isn't pure, that affects the care he needs, so it's important for me to know that as well."

Thor nodded as he offered Grey a piece of apple from their bag. "If he isn't, I don't think it is by much. IT could also explain his strong use of magic."

"Even just a small percentage of a different race can affect certain treatments." Desi explained. "The magic has confused me as well. The Jotnar have great control over ice and water, but they don't usually excel with other forms of magic."

"Loki is one of the strongest magic wielders I have ever witnessed. I know mother taught him most everything he knows, but the inherent ability had to come from somewhere." Thor tightened the girth on Frey, then began to put the full saddlebags on her back.

Desi helped with some of the small bags but couldn't lift the two larger ones. "I haven't seen much of his magic, but from what Laney has told me, it is very impressive. The other Jotnar I have seen, if it doesn't involve ice or water, they can't do more than some simple tricks."

Thor turned and gently pulled Desi into his arms before he stole a kiss from her. "I will have a talk with Orin, maybe see if Loki wishes to speak to him as well if Laney is well enough."

Desi smiled into the kiss. "If she is, I will stay with her so she is not alone." She promised. "I wonder though whether he would be more comfortable talking with or without Loki there."

"I'm not sure. Orin mentioned Loki's mother was alive, knowing Loki could hear him say it. There has to be something to it," he stated. "Are you ready to start back?"

"He made that announcement to the entire room, but never once made any attempt to address Loki personally. Please just trust me on this and go to him alone first," Desi asked, hoping he would. She stepped closer to Frey, then mounted the horse.

Thor nodded, then mounted up behind Desi and took the reins, his arms wrapped around Desi's waist. "I promise. I will talk to Orin first, then ask Loki."

"Thank you for trusting me." Desi said softly and leaned back against Thor's chest. "I'm happy you're being more open with me."

"I will always trust you," Thor replied softly, "I just hope that you trust me in return."

"I trust you with my life." Desi said truthfully. "Do you think your father will give his approval for us to be married?"

Thor smiled and kissed her hair as he got Frey to move forward at a walk. "I know he will approve. Mother will too," he assured her.

"I already knew your mother would. I have spent a lot of time with her during my more recent studies... your father though, he seems far less fond of me." She said, still worried.

"Don't worry about father. Both of my parents are happy about your work and love what you do." Thor turned Frey back onto the trail.

"Your father won't be so happy about my work after our meeting next week." Desi chuckled.

Thor furrowed his brow as they turned back down the trail the way they had come the day before. "Why will he be unhappy?"

"The only way I can continue my work is for your father to allow the Jotnar open, safe access to the clinic in town, and when needed, the palace." Desi explained, knowing it would not go over well.

"That would take debate for it to happen. But I know that father knows you have helped the Jontar a lot," he told her.

"I worry about what will happen if he refuses. I have had so many write to me, asking for my services. There just aren't a lot of healers who know anything about them, so I can't exactly send them anywhere else..." Desi said, quite upset about it.

"I will talk to him. You will get to see your clients again," Thor assured. Soon enough they made it back to the creek and Thor let Frey get a drink before they crossed through it.

"Thank you. Do you think you could arrange for us to talk to him sooner than next week?" She asked, knowing how badly some of the care was needed.

Thor nodded. "I can try. I know Orin is the main person of interest right now, but I will do my best."

"I should have brought more potions with me; I didn't realize the ride back would be sore." She chuckled.

"Are you alright darling?" Thor asked. He moved one hand to rub her thigh gently. "I don't know how to make the ride easier."

"I'm fine, it was just a lot more enjoyable to ride you." Desi teased. "I'm just still a little sore, it's nothing to worry about."

Thor chuckled as he turned Frey to the left. "I enjoyed it as well."

Desi looked down at the ring again. "This has definitely been a trip I will never forget."

He looked down at the ring that sat on her left hand and smiled. "Neither will I."

"What do you think our wedding will be like? Weddings on Yamir and nice, small events." Desi said, curious about the differences.

"We can make it small if you want to, or it can be a very grand affair."

"What is it normally like? And what would you like?" Desi asked curiously.

"Normally feasting goes on for a week or more although it is expected for the newlyweds to sneak off to their chambers," he said with a chuckle. "The ceremony is grand and all of Asgard is able to attend if they wish, though I'm not sure I would want something that large."

"I do like the sneaking off to our chambers part. We should definitely keep that tradition." Desi chuckled. "While I would be fine with something small and more personal, you are going to be their king. I think it should be somewhat to their expectations." She said truthfully.

Thor kissed her cheek softly. "I don't want to overwhelm you darling," he said softly just as the palace came into view in the distance.

"You won't, I promise. Your mother has been holding lessons for me, to prepare me for all of this." She admitted softly.

"I did not know that. Are you enjoying them?" Thor asked.

"We decided to not really tell anyone, just because no one was sure who you would pick for queen." She admitted, blushing.

Thor kissed her cheek, then her neck. "It's alright darling. I'm proud of you for thinking of them."

"I just wanted to be prepared as your mother was fairly certain you would pick me." Desi said, blushing again.

"Well, she is intuitive, that's for sure," Thor commented. "We're getting closer to home."

"She is, but even she wasn't sure this time." Desi said, then turned to kiss him softly. "I miss our little hut already."

He returned her kiss slowly and caressed her thigh once more. "We will return soon, I promise."

"I can't wait, and it will be for longer next time." She said happily and placed her hand over his on her thigh.

"Yes it will. It will be nice too." Thor turned Frey to the right as they reached the trail that would lead them to the stables.

"Thank you for planning this for us, it was absolutely amazing." Desi said, sweet and sincere.

"You're welcome my sweet girl," he answered, just as they reached the front of the barn. Thor dismounted Frey and helped Desi down as well. "I have to brush down and feed Frey, if you want to go see Laney, you can."

"I'm not walking back to the palace without you." Desi said cutely.

"I can tend to Frey, if you want." The stablemaster said from the door of the stable.

Thor turned and looked at the stable master. "Thank you. That is much appreciated," Thor told him.

He gave a little bow. "It is no trouble at all." He said, then led Frey into the stable.

"Are you ready to go back home Dess?" Thor asked as he turned and held out his hand to her.

Desi wrapped her arms around Thor's arm like she always did to walk with him. "As ready as I'll ever be." She joked.

Thor bent down to kiss her cheek before he led her towards the palace. "Are you nervous?"

"No, I'm excited to see Laney. I just miss having you all to myself." She grinned.

"You'll still have me every night sweet girl," he replied softly just as they walked back into the palace.

"Don't you forget it." Desi grinned. The palace was every bit as busy with the daily routines as it was when they left. "Where do you think Orin is?"

"I'm not sure, I will have to ask mother," Thor replied. "I would assume Laney and Loki are in their chambers most these days."

Desi's arms tightened around Thor's arm, knowing they would be parting ways when the hall split just up ahead. "I am just going to hang out with Laney until you're done. Unless she wants to sleep, then I will go back to our chambers."

"Alright darling." Thor stopped them at the split in the hallway and bent to give her a lingering kiss. "I will see you soon."

Desi deepened the kiss before taking a step back. "Don't take no for an answer." She said, then reluctantly turned and walked down the hallway towards the sleeping chambers.

Thor smiled and watched her go before he turned and walked in the opposite direction, towards his mother's study.
