Kor's eyes slowly opened as he awoke, his vision blurry from sleepiness, he slowly rubbed his eyes and let out a small yawn, he turned to his alarm clock which was blaring loudly into his ears. He gave it a gentle smack to deactivate it before grabbing it and reading the time, 7:50 September 1st. Today was the day…
He rolled out of bed, settling his feet into his dark blue slippers before he wearily stumbled out of his bedroom and into the bathroom of the Pharaoh. Little did he know that a small golden iguana was gently grasping onto his shoulder, digging into his flesh with it's sharp claws, how Kor hadn't noticed it yet was astounding.
He grabbed the face-wash and began to violently scrub at his skin, the cold water being a welcome relief from his exhaustion.
However when he looked up into the mirror he quickly glanced at his reptilian best friend who was perched on his shoulder like an overgrown scaly parrot…
"Aaargh, Boba! Down boy!" he exclaimed in irritation, Boba accepted his command and quickly scrambled down his body, sitting on his foot and staring up at the boy curiously.
Kor sighed, before he grabbed his toothbrush and toothpaste before vigorously brushing his teeth.
He left the bathroom and slowly trekked back into his bedroom, closing the door behind him before Boba could crawl in.
He immediately grabbed his clothes and began to get changed, within a few minutes he had finished and had walked out of his small bedroom in a Green hoodie, blue jeans and black socks.
He breezed into the kitchen of the Pharaoh where he was met by his sisters and father staring at him impatiently.
"Finally you've arrived. Jesus Kor we've been waiting for ages." Xai scolded angrily.
He ignored her remark and sat down at the kitchen table grabbing his breakfast, eating in silence and gulping down his tea with vigour and silent glee. Today was the day! By this time tomorrow he would be at Hogwarts!
He had packed his bags the night before, and filled them to the brig with books, gadgets and other tools he will require to succeed at Hogwarts. Along with his Mandalorian armour and two Westar 35s.
He rose from the table and awaited his father to do the same, and after 2 minutes of patiently waiting he arose, Kor rushed to his bedroom and swiftly gathered his bags, suitcases and backpack.
He rushed out of the Pharoah and stood outside of the Car his father had bought when they first arrived on Earth and opened up the boot, stuffing his bags inside before getting in and waiting for his father
He arrived 5 minutes later they stepped into the car, his father started the engine. And they were off, rain hammered the roof of the car for the first half hour of the journey, the distant, hollow rumble of thunder echoing in the distance, grey clouds swirling above them.
After a further 2 hours of driving they had finally arrived at the carpark of Kings Cross station, Kor opened the car door and eagerly rushed out, grabbing his bags and dashing into the station, his father following behind him
As he stepped into Kings-Cross he could not help but be amazed by the sheer amount of people, looking frantically around he could see no platform 9-3/4 and he was certain he would look like a moron if e were to ask anyone if such a station existed.
Perhaps it was a spelling error? Maybe it was some kind of mistake? He didn't know. After around 20 minutes of looking he was getting desperate. From the Hogwarts letter and ticket it said it would set off at 9:45 in the morning. It was 9:20. He had 25 minutes to find the train and if he couldn't… he could not attend Hogwarts.
He went up to the side of one of the trains, trying to collect his thoughts and calm himself down. He was terrified, his father had helped him find a trolley t carry his belongings and then left. He was alone!
However he then heard a voice say,
"It's the same every year, packed with muggles of course. Come on!"
At the mention of the word "Muggle" he sprang up, trying to find the source of the voice. He looked around and saw it was a middle aged woman, late forties with fiery red hair. Alongside her was a group of 5 children, a girl and four boys. Each sharing the woman's fiery red hair.
He once again took a deep breath and began to approach the woman, however his advance was cut off when his trolley bumped into another.
"Oh sorry about that I thought." He stopped talking when he saw a familiar face, with old round glasses and wild black hair.
"Hang on…Harry?!"
"Kor?!"
The two boys looked at each other before a grin spread across Kor's face,
"it's good to see you again!" he exclaimed.
"Yeah! It's great to see you too! Have you had any luck on finding help for platform 9 -3/4?" Harry asked inquisitively, hoping that his friend would provide answers but sadly, "No. I haven't but I did hear that woman mention muggles, so I presume she would know." The young Mandalorian explained.
"I know. I was going to do the same thing." Harry replied, the two nodded at each other and walked up to the woman. She appeared to be leading the red headed boys to one of the columns In the station
, "Come on Percy you next!" she said to her eldest son, before he lined up his trolley and for some strange reason began to charge at the column wall, however instead of a truly disastrous accident, he seemed to completely disappear into the column, like he had been absorbed by it. How the people around them didn't notice, Kor had no idea.
Then she instructed two other boys, both identical and most likely twins to do the same as their predecessor, with the exact same results.
Harry then asked, "Um excuse me!"
The woman turned and smiled warmly at them before approaching.
"Hello dears. First time at Hogwarts? Ron's new to." She pointed at another boy around their age, like everyone else in the family he had the same ginger hair and freckles. He gave them a shy smile and a nod.
"Umm…Yes but we don't know-."
"Don't know how to get onto the platform?" the woman asked, the two boys nodded.
"Well now. All you've got to do, is walk straight at that wall, between platforms 9 and 10. Best to do it at a bit of a run if your nervous."
Kor smiled, "Thank you!" he said gratefully before he lined his trolley up to the wall, his eyes staring at the cold orange brick of the wall, he approached it at a speed, he closed his eyes, awaiting the sharp pain and colossal crash. But it never came… instead he found himself pushing the trolley as usual. He opened his eyes to see himself not in the Kings Cross he knew… but in a completely different area. It was a large station, no larger then the ones he had seen dozens of times before but this time instead of the sleek modern design of the average Terran train. There was a scarlet and black locomotive, a relic by modern standards but still… it felt bizarre to look at especially since it seemed to still be used. And on the front of the train lay the numbers, 9 ¾. He had arrived
