A/N: Hello everyone, I am back with chapter five of this story. Here, Dipper gets a call and its Christmastime.

Disclaimer: I don't own Gravity Falls

Dipper was happy to sleep in. He was missing school to be with his family during this difficult time The fact his grades where already high helped. After watching TV most of the day, Dipper went to his room to read when suddenly his phone rang.

"Hello." said Dipper.

("Dipper! Are you okay?! Is Mabel, okay?!") asked Wendy frantically.

"Yeah. I'm fine." answered Dipper.

("Oh, thank God.") sighed Wendy relieved.

"How did you find out?" asked Dipper curiously.

The realization quickly hit.

"Pacifica told you!" exclaimed Dipper.

("Yeah dude, Mabel is hurt.") confirmed Wendy worried.

"I told Pacifica it wasn't Mabel." stated Dipper.

("Pacifica mentioned that...and she wasn't exactly convinced.") noted Wendy.

"Look, everything is fine." said Dipper.

("Then, what exactly happened?") asked Wendy.

"I'm not going to satisfy you until I answer, aren't I?" asked Dipper.

("Nope.") answered Wendy.

"Someone I know had an accident." said Dipper.

("I need details.") stated Wendy.

"She...took medicine than she was supposed to." explained Dipper.

("At least it wasn't a suicide attempt.") sighed Wendy.

Dipper cringed hearing this.

("So...are you going to Gravity Falls this summer?") asked Wendy curious.

Dipper felt guilty.

"We're busy with college." answered Dipper.

("That sucks.") replied Wendy disappointed.

Dipper winced and decided to quickly change the subject.

"So, how's Portland?" asked Dipper.

("Nice, but school is a bitch. Of course, it's always been that way for me.") answered Wendy.

"Sorry to hear that." replied Dipper.

("I'm leaving Portland State and returning to Gravity Falls for the summer.") noted Wendy.

"Sorry I'll miss you." sighed Dipper.

("Is there any way to change your mind?") asked Wendy.

"I'm afraid not." answered Dipper.

("I haven't seen you since you left.") stated Wendy.

"We've seen each other." said Dipper.

("On video chat, but no in person.") noted Wendy.

Dipper heard Wendy reach for something.

("I've still got your hat.") added Wendy.

"Same." said Dipper.

("Dude, it feels like you're avoiding me.") said Wendy hurt.

Dipper winced.

("I know you aren't...") began Wendy.

Wendy trailed off.

"I'd never avoid you." stated Dipper firmly.

("Well, it seems like you're avoiding everyone in Gravity Falls.") sighed Wendy sadly.

Dipper felt guilt growing and growing.

("You promised to come back the next summer, but you and Mabel always have an excuse not to come here.") explained Wendy frustrated.

Wendy stopped hearing her tone.

("I don't want to guilt trip you; it just hurts.") sighed Wendy.

Dipper took a moment.

"I have to go." said Dipper.

("Okay, talk to you later.") replied Wendy flatly.

Dipper ended the call and dropped the phone.

"Fuck me." groaned Dipper.

It was Christmas in Piedmont, but they didn't mean much in the way of weather. The climate made sure there would be no white winter. Dipper and Mabel's parents had left getting tickets to the Christmas concert of Toot-Toot McBumbersnazzle at Paramount Theatre in Oakland. Dipper and Mabel where in the latter's room on the laptop.

"Is it all set?" asked Mabel.

Dipper finished setting up the video call.

"Yeah." answered Dipper.

Moments later; Wendy, Candy, Grenda, Pacifica and Soos appeared on the other side.

"Hey guys!" called Mabel.

"Hey dudes!" cried Soos.

"I missed you guys!" declared Grenda.

Dipper, wearing his ushanka, was focused on Wendy wearing his hat.

"Good to see that you're still wearing that old thing." joked Wendy.

"Same to you." replied Dipper.

"Yeah, but this doesn't offer much protection when winter rolls around." shrugged Wendy.

"How are you doing?'" asked Candy.

"Fine, but I wish we had snow." answered Mabel.

"Dude, we've got eight inches up here." revealed Soos.

"Oh man!" cried Mabel.

"You want snow, until you have to shovel it. Then you realize how much snow sucks." said Wendy.

"I can second that." muttered Pacifica.

"Oh yeah, you probably had servants do that for you." noted Dipper.

"Luckily, Wendy helped me out." replied Pacifica.

"No problem, dude." shrugged Wendy.

"So, Paz, how are you doing without your money?" asked Mabel curious.

"It's the hardest thing I have ever had to do. And that includes Weirdmageddon." answered Pacifica dryly.

"You dudes aren't going to believe this...Pacifica is living at my old house!" exclaimed Soos excitedly.

"Soos and his grandma sold their house after moving into the Mystery Shack and it was the only house for sale." explained Pacifica.

"Pacifica is staying my old room!" exclaimed Soos.

"Well...didn't see that coming." confessed Dipper.

"So, are you returning to Gravity Falls this summer?" asked Candy hopefully.

"You know it!" declared Mabel happily.

This got a positive reception.

"We can't wait for summer." added Dipper.

"Can't be crazier than last summer." shrugged Pacifica.

"Yeah, visiting a haunted convenience store." said Wendy.

"And watching Mabel get possessed by a ghost." thought Dipper.

"Battling to get the shack back from Gideon." continued Soos.

"And nearly being killed by a giant robot." thought Mabel.

"Putting on your own sock opera." said Candy.

"And getting my body taken over by Bill." thought Dipper.

"We got to attend your birthday after all." stated Grenda.

"Which almost got ruined by me giving Bill the rift." thought Mabel.

"Heck, we stopped the end of the world!" declared Wendy.

"Weirdmageddon." thought the twins.

Dipper and Mabel tensed up.

"What's wrong guys?" asked Soos concerned.

"You look like you've seen a ghost, and we had met one that at our party." added Pacifica.

I THINK I'M GONNA KILL ONE OF THEM RIGHT NOW, JUST FOR FUN!

Dipper and Mabel shook their heads.

"We're fine!" exclaimed Mabel.

"We were just thinking about all the fun memories we had." added Dipper.

"Yeah, it was an awesome summer." said Wendy smiling.

While they didn't know it, but twins wanted out of this.

"Guys, we've got to go." said Mabel.

"Yeah, gotta spend the holiday with our family." added Dipper.

Totally get it hambones." shrugged Soos.

The friends said goodbye and the call ended.

"Dip..." began Mabel.

"Mab..." began Dipper.

The two stopped.

"You go first." said Dipper.

"You." replied Mabel.

"So...can't wait for summer." began Dipper, playing it cool.

"Yeah." agreed Mabel lying.

The two took a moment.

"Um...so you're okay." said Dipper.

"Why wouldn't I be?" asked Mabel confused.

Dipper felt flustered

"Oh...no reason." answered Dipper quickly.

"Yeah, I'm dying to go back!" declared Mabel.

Dipper forced himself to nod in agreement.

"I mean...we did go some through crazy things." noted Dipper.

"Not many thirteen year olds can say they stopped the end of the world." shrugged Mabel.

"It's a lot for anyone to go through." stated Dipper.

Mabel chuckled anxiously.

"You can say that again." agreed Mabel.

Dipper put his hand on his sister's.

"You know, you can tell me anything." noted Dipper firmly.

Mabel smiled.

"Same to you bro." said Mabel.

"Awkward sibling hug." proposed Dipper.

"Yeah." said Mabel.

The two shared a hug and patted each other on the back.

"Pat. Pat." said the twins.

Dipper and Mabel went about the rest of the night as normal. Dipper took time to help Mabel with her math homework. Soon bedtime came and the twins went to sleep. Dipper fell asleep soon awoke in a black void. Dipper felt his heart drop knowing exactly what was happening.

"HELLO PINETREE." said Bill.

"Bill." said Dipper angrily.

"DID YOU MISS ME?" asked Bill.

Dipper didn't answer.

"ADMIT IT, YOU MISSED ME." added Bill.

"What do you want?!" asked Dipper enraged.

"EASY PINETREE, I'M NOT HERE TO FIGHT." answered Bill.

"My family beat you before and we will do it again!" declared Dipper.

Bill laughed.

"YOU'RE REALLY NOT THAT BRIGHT." stated Bill.

"Why are you here?" asked Dipper demanding.

"IT SEEMS YOU AND SHOOTING STAR ARE HAVING A ROUGH TIME." answered Bill.

"I wonder why." muttered Dipper.

"DID I DAMAGE YOU THAT MUCH?" asked Bill, feigning concern.

"Yes!" exclaimed Dipper.

"YOU HUMANS ARE SO FRAGILE!" laughed Bill.

Dipper balled his fists.

"I'LL YOU IN ON A LITTLE SECRET..." began Bill.

"What is it?" asked Dipper, hiding his rising anxiety.

"I'M COMING BACK." answered Bill proudly.

Dipper felt his heart stop.

"YOU'RE EXCITED, I CAN TELL." said Bill.

"You're dead." noted Dipper worriedly.

"I AM ALIVE AND WELL, PINE TREE!" cried Bill happily.

Dipper shot up in his bed.

"I hope Mabel is doing better." sighed Dipper flatly.

Unfortunately, this was not the case. Mabel found herself wandering around Gravity Falls. Mabel had no idea how she returned, but what she did know was that something was wrong. The sky was a blood red. The town was empty and an eerie feeling filled the air.

"Mabel." came a faint voice.

Mabel turned to see her brother. Dipper was missing his hat and covered in his blood.

"Dipper!" cried Mabel horrified.

Mabel ran to her brother.

"Why?" asked Dipper faintly.

"I don't know what happened." answered Mabel distressed.

"Yes, you do." stated Dipper.

"I don't understand." replied Mabel confused.

"Why did you give Bill the rift?" asked Dipper.

"I..." began Mabel.

"This is your fault." said Dipper angrily.

"Bro..." began Mabel.

"You're not my sister!" declared Dipper.

Mabel shot up in her bed crying.
