Zeta Halo - Halo Infinite
The four Spartans stood in their shiny new MJOLNIR modified armor (except for Jorge, who was a little dinged up from previous interactions). They were about to get on a LAAT gunship in the hangar, but something caught Douglas eye.
An elite, the one from before. He was standing almost eight feet tall, gold armor and with fancy aristocratic dress. The Arbiter, or what Jorge remembers what he was called. He approached with heavy metal thuds, and was a little dumbstruck at the sight of the four demons standing in front of him.
"Spartans," he said and nodded with a low and rough tone.
Jerome turned to Jorge, Alice, and Douglas, shaking his head in disapproval. He stepped forward, trying to look not as tense as he could, "what are you doing here?"
"To give you an item, something that you should have."
"Which is?" fired Douglas against Jerome's jolted gaze.
Lifting up his huge meaty palm, were dog tags. Only one pair, with two tags on the ball-chain. He spoke with a somberd breath, giving them to Jerome, "identifications belonging to your leader, he gave them to me shortly before his passing many moons ago."
Jerome read the tags aloud, their slight cling rang a bit, "one-one-seven… These are the Chiefs."
Douglas could not hold himself back any further, "you killed him?!"
But Jerome grabbed his arm, holding him back.
The elite recognized the concern and shook his neck, "no, we fought together, and his 'luck' came upon my shoulders rather than his own, his tag is what he gave me when I last saw him."
"How could you?!-"
Jerome now pushed him aside, "he is telling the truth… only one who fought with him would be able to put it into words… luck… that's a first."
The elite grinned somewhat, and gracefully turned around before leaving the hangar from which he came. But before he fully did, Jerome mumbled, "can't believe he would go down though."
The elite turned his shoulder and responded, hearing his murmur, "were it so easy."
As he left, and clearly out of the area, S052 spoke, "Hm… this true William?"
"Indeed, after the battle of the Ark, the Master Chief was pronounced MIA until the Arbiter was found. Crossing records with battle data, this is the likely scenario," said the AI aloud to the group of Spartans.
"Let's just load up…" mumbled Douglas.
Inside the gunship, the dark hull was quickly illuminated by the dim lights. And as the engine started, Jorge stuck out his hand. A projection of William would burst forth in its orange awe. The would be white Templar Knight stood there with hands behind his back, looking to the other three SII's.
"Geonosis is a desolate planet with many rock cliff faces and covers," Snapping his fingers, a 3 demensional map showed in front of them, and a canyon protected a giant megastructure made and carved out of rocks and stone, "this is is a droid production facility. The Banished are garrisoning the castle along with seperatist troops. Ukolom, the Banished General, is stationed here at the top of the tower. With him is the Separtist leader Poggle the Lesser. The mission is to storm the facility with the help of Republic and UNSC troops, and assassinate them both."
"Becoming headhunters are we?" Mumbled Jorge from behind.
Alice crossed her huge arms, "are the elites going to be with us?"
"Negative, the Arbiter has pulled back his forces to the Milky Way to deal with another Covenant rebellion."
Douglas sort of stuttered, "that's a first."
Jerome waved, "continue William."
"Oh right, of course, my apologies. Ukolom is a dangerous brute chieftain, one of their highest lieutenants. He uses the Fist of Rukt, a gravity hammer wielded by the Warlord Chieftain Tartarus during the Human-Covenant War. I would advise not to get in close…" showing another projection of the castle, he pointed around, "ODST drops will cover the east canyon wall, and the Republic tanks will push their way up the middle. If all goes right, the factory will be destroyed."
"Right, we will see about that," Douglas cocked the action of his modified Battle Rifle.
"Any Spartans going on this field trip?" asked Jorge.
"Not that I know of, but what I do is General Windu himself is head of this invasion, and when the factory is inoperable, you will report to him."
"Hm, ain't this new."
"What, come on Jorge, you never had a human from another galaxy you never knew as your CO?" Alice chuckled.
"Eh, this is all a bit much for me I guess."
As the LAAT gunship took off the ground and out of the hangar, Alice placed her hand on his shoulder and shook him a bit, "yea, this is a bit for everyone too."
"Oh well, we didn't just time travel eighty plus years into the future for nothing now? Let's kick some ass shall we?"
Fields of Verdun - Sabaton
The earth was scorched with hot sands. Blaster fire both red and blue rippled throughout the skies. LAAT gunships, over four dozen came from all sides. Some carried huge AT-TE tanks, some carried just troops. Anti-Air defenses from both Banished and Separatists pelted the Republic airships from all sides, exploding and sending deadly hot projectiles around. The Spartans would bob jerk in between the loud blasts.
It would only get more and more intense, and finally William broke the chaotic silence, "General Kenobi's ship has been shot down, and so has Skywalker's!"
"Where are they?" exclaimed Jerome.
"We just passed over Skywalker, and Kenobi is farther north east."
S092 turned to the front, turning on his com device, "pilot, open up the doors!"
A static response quickly came, "here?! Now?! Are you crazy!"
"Yes," he grabbed his UNSC grade shotgun from over his shoulder, "do it."
Immediately following, a flash of light as these huge doors flashed to their sides. Orange light reflected off the sands from below, and a large and huge battle quickly ensued. Bombardments now violently shook the gunship, and they could see other ships around having the same effect. In spite of this, Jerome ran forward, jumping straight out of the ship. As he did, Alice laughed, "there he goes again…"
"Ah Jorge, ready to experience your first battle drop?" Douglas slapped his shoulder before glaring at Alice.
"Eh, not particularly fond of heights," said Jorge.
Turning around, S042 held his arms out to his side, before leaning back into a free fall, cackling widely almost like a madman. Following, Alice just shrugged before doing a swan-dive out the side.
Jorge looked over the edge for a moment and just shook to the side, grabbing his huge chain cannon. He, doing the same, took in a deep breath before jumping out the side, following the other three.
In a complete and total fall of gravity, the four Spartans descended at least four hundred feet to the surface of this desolate wasteland. Huge balls of fire went around them, passing through and around the coming Geonosian ships and republic dropships. But, to Jorge's surprise, he saw something else with the LAAT gunships, something he did not notice firsthand.
UNSC pelicans.
They too, with warthogs attached to their bags, and some even with scorpion tanks (fresher models) flew in formation behind the republic.
In any case, the floor immediately came upon the Spartans, and Jorge braced for impact. Holding his feet forward at the particular angle, he could see the others sliding down the hillside below to cover the landing. But, he would be too far forward. Preparing for it, this Hungarian giant came into the earth with a mighty crash, leaving a crate of dirt and dust in his wake. This went high into the air, blocking most views around him.
He took a moment to recharge, vision was a little blurry. Douglas came at his side, hoisting him up, "holy crap that was quite something, Jorge you alright?"
Shaking his helmet with his free hand, then his legs, he chuckled, "I've had worse falls, but yea, thanks for caring."
"Alright, let's move," said Jerome.
The four Spartans Twos recuperated, and began at a slight jog into the sandy dunes around (granted their pace was that of a full sprinting man). With the booming sounds of enemy artillery above, and the cover fire of gunships around. Scorched earth in front, scattered hot dunes and checkered and eroded rocks.
"Where are we going William?" asked Jorge.
"Just follow the bodies..."
In front, a displaced and seared battlefield. Dead clones, geonosians, brutes, grunts, jackals, and many more. Some severed in two by a lightsaber, some pelted in the chest by blaster bolts. The dead remained, and left a clear trail.
"Jesus," mumbled Alice.
"Can't do anything about it now," Jerome continued forward, "keep going."
The Spartans would move through at a fast pace over the bodies. Clones or not, Jorge glared at every single one. He recognized them, not as soldiers, but as people. For the slightest moment, people they were. But their sacrifice, as soldiers, only a true soldier could make.
But in the here and now, they quickly came around a worn rocky bed. Blaster fire pelted the sides, General Skywalker was clearly in front, ignited blue lightsaber deflecting shots back to their senders. Ashoka, best to him, shorter and more erratic in movement had her green blade which she too did the same.
Clones took cover behind rocks and other areas for protection. Up above, the Spartans could see the enemy. A cement wall, at least two hundred feet high, with cannons on it lasering down on them. Droids, brutes, and sniper jackals suppress them fairly well. Especially the jackals, who would pick off a few clones with narly headshots from a far way.
Jorge moved out in front and in the open, revving his chain cannon. He aimed it high, to the cannon turrets first. As he did, he let out a roar of bullets to their target. Casings began to fly out of the cannon, as bullets made their target.
Turret placement after another began to explode slightly as Jorge's extreme precision even with a machine gun was immaculate. After the first volley, the droids at the top of the wall began to turn their attention to the giant SII out in the open. They did, the two Jedi forty meters in front did the same. Dashing out of the same area, the rest of the Red Team followed. Alice with dual M9 SMG's (similar model to the M7, except slightly larger for the compensated larger bullet caliber), and Douglas with a BR80 (also similar to the BR75, but larger and built for a Spartan).
The beefy shotgun spread of Jerome shredded through the metal upon the upper wall. Douglas, Alice, and Jorge move forward providing cover support for the republic soldiers.
Blaster fire ensued more so from both sides, and Anakin waved to Douglas. As such, the Spartan approached behind the cover. They both flinched as an explosion of fire rocked the rocky wall they hid behind from a brute shot grenade. Anakin smirked, holstering his lightsaber.
"Mind giving me a boost?" he said.
Douglas looked up to the top of the wall, then back to the Jedi, "my pleasure."
Getting on one knee, he held out his hands one over another in front. Skywalker, stepped on it, and immediately, Douglas thrusted his hands upwards. The Jedi Knight was sent high into the sky and quickly over the wall. Over twenty yards above it. His Blue blade deflecting shots fired at him.
Douglas looked back down and gestured to Ashoka, "your next!"
"I don't know if this is a good idea," she said, bracing as her foot was placed upon his hand.
"Yea it is, cause I'm in it," throwing her upwards with a loud grunt, she yelped a little not expecting that much force so quickly. But nevertheless, she quickly moved behind her master at the top of the wall landing perfectly on top.
The Spartans continued their firing, and heard one of the clones from behind shout, "focus on the ones at the top of the wall!"
So, they did, and these pelted individuals, alien and droid alike, could only watch as both clone, Jedi, and Spartan decimated any who were left. Grunts squealing, jackals cackling with hoarse tones, and brutes grunting with thick ape voices. It did not take long, and soon there was no one left to fire upon, and the shooting grew silent.
Alice never hesitated throwing a large device to the top where the two Jedi were, "catch!" She exclaimed.
Using the Force, Skywalker grabbed it, causing it to levitate in the air and fly to his hand. Realizing what this device was, he nodded and smiled before pressing a few buttons on it. When this happened, he jumped off the wall, straight to the bottom. His padawan followed suit, a little hesitant at first.
In any case, a ball of fire erupted from the wall, causing it to crumble into cement chunks and dust. Sending out tremors like that of an aftershock, it vibrated the whole canyon which they were in (and echoed due to the cavern itself).
Car sized boulders collapsed onto them, and the two Jedi once they made it to the floor stuck up their arms, reaching out and into the force. When they did, it stopped the falling rock. The thunderous smashes came as the dirt was wiped upwards into the air. Many stones and dust particles above them began to levitate and cease their fall, as the two Jedi moved out from under them. Once cleared, they dropped them, causing another crash.
"Damn," Douglas shook his head, "I'm still not going to get used to that."
The Jedi recovered, and moved back to their men. The clones heeded them, and approached the Spartans.
"Thanks for the support," said General Skywalker, "your reinforcements in yet?"
Jerome turned to Jorge, which Noble Five nodded, "how we lookin' William?"
"The Banished and Separtist AA are making it difficult for support to land, but, a pelican has made it through, sending transport..."
Up in the sky, somewhat blocking the sun, a UNSC pelican, with a ginormous mass attached to its hull. As it slowed, and the engine grew dim, both clone, Jedi, and Spartan came about in excitement. It dropped its load, forty feet above with a mighty slam into the gravel and dust, much louder than any of the rocks from earlier… This was near earsplitting.
A Scorpion tank.
Similar to the M808, the M811 had similar features. Except, thicker armor, and longer and larger caliber main cannon, and two support chain cannon position pits rather than one. Douglas immediately got onboard (metal clings and all), and opened the cockpit, looking and absorbing the freshness of the inside,
"Commander," he said, "this is gonna be a fun day."
Chapter twenty oh my god wtf!!!! I feeelll soooo olllld!
Bro this story has snowballed into something wonderful that went beyond what I could imagine...
Thanks y'all for the support almost 500 followers! Whhhhhattttt! I NEVER SAW THIS COMING! Hooooow! Lol, idk what to say guys. This story is one in the makin, and y'all make it that much better.
I understandI changed my gamer pic, which I have a reason for. I did this because the original ownerof the picture... We don't get along very much anymore… And he found out that I still use this image, and he threatens to report me. Granted I didnt feel very threatby it, but I thought you guys over a stupid picture lol. You guys are worth much more than me being banned... or something…
Anywho, I hope you all liked the interaction so far, the UNSC will be involved next chapter, so stay tuned. Let's seeee...
Comment time!
FIRST AND HOLY LEGENDARY SHOUT OUT GOES TOOoooooo... Helljumper206 !!!
Yea... this interaction will be the first of many to come, and I love the insight man!
DojoYoyo - indeed, this was more or less the thesis for their whole argument. And tbh, I have mixed feelings on Halo Infinite, it's good... but not as good everyone was trying to make it BEFORE back in October lol.
nantono - yea... do not worry, I have something special for that... :)
zanzara - yea, the political interactions I have considered for a long time. There is much to do, plan, all your ideas are just more stuff for me to ponder. Thank you for the invite though, I will take it into account. I plan on route with the champions collide Sorry wine and going into more detail in the future collages.
Mandalore the Survivor - yea, thanks for the spelling notices, I notice my big of a notice, but it's always good to have somebody watching my back lol. Into your thoughts on Clone and Spartan/UNSC interactions, I totally agree with you. One of the biggest reasons why I got into this in the first place, it was because of the directions… I thought they were very lackluster. This is why I wanted to take something in a row I thought was just and right, and more realistic if they actually got involved. But yea, love the ideas man thx!
CT7567Rules - I went from Seattle to Leavenworth, so a bit of a ways lol. The first class seat was much worth it, it was 20 more, but gave you a free alcoholic beverage of your choice, and a free dinner (which btw was actually pretty good, I was expecting plane quality food lol). But you are all the future encounters with me Coco, I have already started to ponder how it may or may not play out.
CallMeCayde - well… How about you figure it out yourself lol… I kind of just revealed at least one portion :) hope y'all like it...
Dragon lord Syed 101 - yup, I have much planned for that possible in the next 3 to 4 chapters… It might be pretty controversial.
Quite a sum of comments this chapter, I've always loved your guys feedback... thx! AnyWho I understand this chapter was a little late, but eh here we are! I hope you guys like it, and honestly I love where this is going, and the next chapter it will be a very interesting one to be sure.
As always, stay safe, stay healthy,
~NoXXiMillioN
