Here is the next chapter of my story. Please read and review love Sag x
As time wore on the Dursleys were stunned to get called into the school over Harry of all things something which had never happened before. What on earth had he done? They were all set to give out to him and apologise to his teacher for his bad behaviour when she stunned them. She told them that Harry was too smart for her class and that the other students were just holding him back. He'd be skipping a year. In that year however the same was true as well as he lived to read books and learn as much as he could from them. If anything had stuck with Harry from the last time it had been how little he'd known because of how little he'd read. It was quite clear that if he'd known more things could have been a lot different for him. The Dursleys hated him even more after that because he'd excelled in a way which had nothing whatsoever to do with magic and they couldn't claim it did either even if they really did want to. The truth is he spent so much time reading anything and everything he could get his hands on muggle or magical so he didn't miss out again. He'd never fail again because he was too lazy to read.
The only reason he even stayed with the Dursleys anyway is because Dumbledore had told them in their letter he'd given them at the start that Harry would need to be there each week for the first eleven years to recharge the blood wards. After that they'd be strong to last even whilst he was at school. In fact it was a lie he just wished to control Harry and his exposure to the magical world. He wished to control all he knew coming into their world more than Harry himself. Of course with Tilly's assistance he now knew the basics of runes and arithmancy. He wouldn't be taking divination or caring for magical creatures in school. He would never say that divination was a farce because he didn't believe it was he just believed that only so many people could legitimately perform it and he was without a doubt not one of them. Most people he knew weren't gifted with divination. Trelawney was gifted indeed even if she did predict things in a weird way. Luna was also a seer and he knew this even if she didn't think he did. Luna's issue was she was a seer but because she had no idea how to properly express the things she saw she often spoke using what appeared to be nonsense. He wanted to help everyone he knew and so he had helped Luna too. He had given her and her father cleansing broths and unblocking draughts so she could be fully pure when and free of anything constricting when she came to school.
Not everyone was getting help and he'd only helped Neville out because Neville had been a genuine danger to himself and others with his blocked core. Ron had needed more confidence which he hoped the luxury jumpers in his favourite colour would do for him. Hermione needed to calm down and stop always blaming him every time Ron did something wrong. She always did it on impulse and he was sick of it. Maybe with permanently nice hair and normal teeth she wouldn't get bullied for them in her first year like she had the last time and it might make her a better person. Actually he loved Hermione as a friend she was just often overbearing and judgemental where it seriously wasn't necessary. The more he thought about Cho the sicker he felt. Learning in the last lifetime that she had been the main one to take Luna's things had stung him greatly because Luna was his friend and Cho had been so beautiful. In all honesty he still didn't understand why she'd needed to do it to Luna. It had made no sense to him.
He thought about Ginny properly for the first time in a very long time and assessed what he truly felt about her and all he could come up with was disappointment. She'd not been all he'd expected. He'd waited respectfully for her to be ready to go all the way when in reality unbeknownst to him she'd given it up freely to Dean Thomas. He had attempted to respect her, holding himself back because of it and lost out. He wasn't nearly as satisfied as he'd thought he should be and wouldn't be holding back this time. This time if he wanted a girl he was going to go and get her no matter what the consequences. This whole wait and see approach wasn't working so he'd be abandoning it.
At the bank he'd found out he'd need to take a wife when he turned eighteen because of all the houses he'd inherited from. He was told he'd need to select her himself as was standard and he'd been thinking of all the girls he'd known when one struck him out of the blue. She was gorgeous and he couldn't believe he'd never noticed her before. He truly must have been asleep. Admittedly she had looked ridiculous at the Yule Ball but never did otherwise. She was gorgeous and because he'd prejudged her last time he'd missed out totally. He'd totally missed the point that she didn't have to always be the same as her sister. He smiled brightly as he thought of Padma Patil. In fact as he thought of her he had mad butterflies in his tummy. If he got into Ravenclaw which he seriously hoped he did she'd be in his year. Oh this would be great. To finally feel certain of something in your life was startling to say the least. He just knew he wanted to marry Padma and nothing would ever change that. With Lucius now dealt with the chamber of secrets would remain closed and he could finally have a normal time at Hogwarts. Harry himself was very against the killing of innocent people who never did anything wrong but if he could kill a bad guy using a light spell he'd do it. Last time around he'd killed many death eaters with the diffindo charm in the neck something they'd not seen coming.
He'd been so proud it had been done with a light spell which wasn't a stunner either. He also planned to be more involved in politics this time around and planned to get a new law passed which stated that all aurors were forbidden from ever casting the unforgiveables only. This would mean that they could use any spell as long as it wasn't one of those and as they were all so dark he doubted anyone would disagree with him. I mean no one wanted their aurors torturing people with the crutiatus now did they? Things would be better this time for sure. Thanks to Tilly many death eaters who'd gotten off including her old master Antonin Dolohov had been found dead with their marked arms removed. She was essentially causing them to bleed out but insuring they were all knocked out first. They deserved nothing less. This way many torture sessions, murders and rapes could be stopped before they even began. The Ministry was very confused as everyone who had gotten off for being under the imperious curse had died. A horrified Tilly who had also removed the arms of Bellatrix, Rudolphus and Rabastan Lestrange whilst they'd been in prison was relieved she wouldn't need to do it anymore. That was the worst of the death eaters dealt with.
A subtle word or warning to the goblins and a location for Fenrir Greyback saw them tracking him down and assassinating him goblin style. This was happening all before he even attended school and Albus Dumbledore who was only just hearing of all of these things assumed Voldemort was already back and exacting his revenge on everyone. He was scared and very cautious. He'd keep a close eye on Harry what with his headmaster duties allowing him to enter Gryffindor house his old house whenever he wanted. All headmasters had the right to freely enter their old houses just as Dippett before him had; had the freedom to enter Ravenclaw at will. He could have had no idea of course that Harry wouldn't be going there or Slytherin either. To be entirely honest Albus liked the other houses he just didn't think much about them in his daily schedule. They were there and they were fine. That was enough for him. He'd always had a soft spot for Gryffindor and did favour them above all other houses because he was one and he'd been the best in his day. People still spoke of the Grindlewald situation with reverence even today and he preened each time they did. He much like a peacock enjoyed the attention being on him far too much.
Harry was learning a lot about how to be a man from Sirius something he never would have thought possible the last time but this time was different indeed. It would seem with proper health care he'd gotten much better and wasn't as insane as he'd been before. He'd shown Harry how to shave, select the right perfume for himself and be a gentleman. If Harry was honest with himself he wasn't all that sure he would have believed Sirius could know how to be a gentleman until he saw it. The tips were all to do with dining and how to get a woman. It was clear what Harry had told Sirius about his strong views on pranking had impacted the man so much he'd made it his mission to make Harry someone Lily would be proud to call her son. Harry had learned how in the dark he'd been before and how rude he'd probably come across to Cho when he'd asked her to the ball. Having remembered how awful Cho had been to Luna though he wasn't all that cut up about it. He'd also make sure Luna had a better time this time as well. She'd been a good true friend and he'd loved how little she cared of what others thought of her. He knew no one else like that and it was refreshing.
Padma was gorgeous and although for reasons better known to herself had looked terrible at the yule ball he still adored her. Learning that you love someone can be very frightening especially if you're only now realising what you didn't realise then. Hermione had never liked Padma claiming she always had books she wanted to read and wouldn't give them to her when she asked for them. When Harry had suggested they shared she nearly bit his head off saying she was better than the Ravenclaw girl any day of the week and wouldn't wish to be held back by her slow reading. He rolled his eyes when he remembered that. Hermione had this annoying habit of wrongly judging others because she'd always been so judged herself. Hopefully that would now change. In a few weeks Harry would be getting his Hogwarts letter and he was very excited about it. Sirius would be taking him to get his stuff. As he slept that night he dreamt of Padma and smiled deeply when he woke up in the morning. She was his dream come true with her gorgeous pure skin and shining black locks. He knew it would be a great day for sure.
