Alright here's chapter three! I can't say how consistent updates will be, but I'll try not to go too awful long without one.

As is custom for my stories, Review responses!

Ricardo735: Oh it's much sooner than Alola as you'll see here. My headcanon is that Ultra Wormholes were opening for a long time before Alola, they just picked up in frequency around then. Besides, it's a great plot device for crossovers. Ash in this story will still be the energetic and motivated guy he is in canon, but a little less inept than he was shown to be in the show.

"Man, does this place ever end? It's almost evening already!"

"Maybe this dimension is just one big forest?"

"If so, that would be really dumb."

Dipper and Mabel had been trudging through the forest for around 4 hours, and they hadn't found any signs of it ending.

Pacifica was still perched on Dipper's shoulder, though she had stopped verbally complaining a while ago. She was still upset about her situation, but she realized that at least this way she wouldn't have to walk through the forest as well. Small upsides, but hey, she'd take what she could get at this point.

Mabel groaned and rubbed her stomach. "Man, I'm so hungry. Can't we get some of the fruit from those trees?"

"No Mabel, we don't know if they're safe to eat or not. If it comes down to it, we might have to, but for now I'd rather not take chances."

Mabel grumbled. "Why d'ya always have to bring logic up?"

Pacifica squinted as she looked up at the darkening sky. "Hey guys? I think I see some lights on the horizon."

The twins immediately perked up. "Really? Alright, we might almost be out!"

Dipper and Mabel rushed ahead, and true to their suspicions, the trees started thinning, and they exited the forest to see a sprawling city before them.

"Whoa..." The three dimensionally displaced travelers looked at the city in front of them. "Well, I guess we know that this dimension has a society now. Come on, we should go down there and see if we can't find a place to spend the night."

The twins along with Pacifica still on Dipper's shoulder made their way to the city. Pacifica suddenly gasped.

"Wait, I just remembered! What if whatever I am is considered some sort of monster?! I don't wanna be chased out of town or something!"

"If we see anything that suggests that I'll hide you in my backpack. If worst comes to worst we have some things on us that should help."

Dipper shrugged upon getting odd looks from Pacifica and Mabel. "What? I always at least carry the memory gun on me in case I need it."

"I thought we agreed we wouldn't use that anymore Dipper! You remember what that thing did to McGucket!"

"Hey, it's for emergencies only! I'm not gonna go shooting it for no reason!"

As the three approached the town, they heard a broadcast. "Attention citizens of Viridian City! There have been reports of Pokémon thieves in the area! Stay on the lookout for suspicious looking strangers!"

"Of course. Well, no one in town is gonna recognize us, and we don't have any ID. You want to run the risk of getting arrested Mabel?"

"Well duh! We're always taking risks! That's how we roll! What I want to know is what a Pokémon is!"

Dipper gave that some thought. "Maybe that's what Pacifica is?"

Pacifica bristled at that. "Hey, they said Pokémon THEIVES. Meaning these Pokémon things are considered property. If that's what I am, I'm NOT going to be treated like I'm some sort of pet. This is humiliating enough as it is."

"Pacifica, I'm pretty sure the fact that you can talk will be enough to dissuade people from thinking that."

"I hope so..."

The twins continued their trek down to the city. As they were about to enter the city proper, they saw a woman that looked like a police officer talking to a young boy holding a creature that looked just like Pacifica. They were both pretty ruffed up, and the little creature was out cold. The three exchanged glances, before they moved over to the boy and policewoman.

"Excuse me, what's going on over here?"

The boy and the police officer looked over to the twins and Pacifica. The police officer gave them a skeptical look. "I was just interrogating this young man. He claims that this Pokémon is his, but he appears to be having trouble finding his ID. Who might you two be? I certainly haven't seen you around these parts before. And where did you get that Pikachu?"

Mabel and Dipper exchanged a nervous glance before Pacifica piped up. "Excuse you! Where do you get off addressing us like that?! I'll have you know I'm with them because they're my friends!"

The boy and police officer took a step back in shock. "Wow! A talking Pikachu! My Pikachu sure can't do that!"

"Well... That was unexpected. But if the Pikachu is vouching for you, then I suppose you couldn't have stolen her. But this young man still has to provide me some ID!"

Dipper looked at the boy and what he now knew was called a Pikachu. "They looked pretty roughed up. Maybe they're trying to get medical help."

"That's what this young man said too. But until I see some identification, I'm hesitant to let you into the city!"

"I'm really sorry ma'am, but I don't have and ID! I came from Pallet town and I need to get Pikachu to a Pokémon center right away!"

The officer looked down and saw something sticking out of the boy's pocket. "Wait, is that a Pokedex? If you have one of those then our problem's solved!"

The officer swiped the device from the boy's pocket and pressed a few buttons. The device beeped before reciting a message.

"I am Dexter, a Pokedex programmed by Professor Oak for the Pokémon trainer Ash Ketchum of Pallet town."

"You see? There. You're all set."

"Wow! I didn't know my Pokedex was an ID too!"

"You said that you need a ride to the Pokémon center, right? I have a way for you to get there real quick! Do you three want to come as well? You all look pretty tired. I'm sure you could get a room at the Pokémon center for the night."

Dipper and Pacifica were a little hesitant, but Mabel answered for them. "Sure we would! It beats sleeping in an alley or something."

Dipper gave his sister a nervous glance but didn't say anything.

"Alright then! Follow me, I got a bike and sidecar we can get there in!"

Dipper raised a brow. "How are we all going to fit on it?"

"Easy! Two can ride in the sidecar and one can ride behind me! The Pikachu are small enough that they won't be an issue."

Pacifica looked a little nervous. "I've never rode on a bike before. Is this safe?"

Ash gave a reassuring smile. "She's a police officer, I'm sure it'll be fine!"

It was not fine.

Officer Jenny, as she introduced herself as, was quite a reckless driver for being an officer of the law. She drove far above the speed limit and cut sharp corners without slowing down. By the time they arrived at the Pokémon center, Pacifica and Ash were quite shaken up.

"Here we are guys! Have a nice night, I have to get back to patrol!"

Officer Jenny sped off, and Dipper and Mabel walked up to the doors.

"Well, that was pretty quick."

Pacifica gave them an incredulous look. "How aren't you two fazed by what just happened?! I know you've been through a lot of weird stuff but that was terrifying!"

Mabel shrugged. "We almost died on a weekly basis last summer. This one has been pretty tame, but we're still used to this kind of stuff. I'm surprised you're fazed by that given you were there for, well, you know."

Pacifica huffed and crossed her arms. "Whatever. Let's just go get checked in... wait! We don't have any money! How are we going to get a room?"

Ash spoke up at that. "Actually, I heard Pokémon centers offer free rooms for the first night. You might have to pay if you plan on staying though."

Dipper sighed in relief as they walked into the building. "That's a relief."

Mabel and Dipper walked up to the counter and managed to get themselves a room while Ash hurriedly got his Pikachu to treatment. After making sure that his partner would be okay, he walked over to the lobby and sat down next to the twins.

"Hey. I don't think we've formally introduced ourselves. I'm Ash Ketchum, from Pallet Town. I just started my Pokémon journey, but I'm planning on becoming the best trainer there is!"

None of the three dimensional travelers knew about Pallet Town or what a Pokémon journey was, but they decided to hold off asking to not arouse suspicion.

"Well, I'm Dipper Pines."

"And I'm his twin sister, Mabel!"

"I'm Pacifica. Nice to meet you, I guess."

Ash leaned forward in excitement. "Man, you really can talk! That's awesome! I've heard stories about certain Pokémon being able to speak, but they're really rare cases!"

Pacifica leaned back nervously. "Uh, is it that uncommon?"

"Yeah! I mean, obviously Pokémon can understand speech, but for some reason it's really hard for them to learn! How'd you figure it out? Maybe I could try helping my Pikachu learn once he's better! Hopefully it'd help us improve our relationship."

Dipper gave Ash a curious look. "Why were you two so messed up anyway? What happened?"

Ash sighed. "Well, it's a bit of a long story. I just started my journey this morning, and Pikachu was my partner that Professor Oak gave me. He didn't listen to me at all though! Since he wasn't helping, I decided to try and catch a Spearow without his help, but all I did was make it angry! It called its flock and chased us for miles! Eventually, Pikachu managed to chase them all off with his Thundershock, but he got really hurt in the process! I tried to get to the Pokémon center as quick as possible after that."

Ash looked worriedly at the door to the medical center. "I hope he's okay. I just want to know why he won't listen to me."

Dipper had taken notes while Ash was explaining. Jotting down words like 'Spearow' and 'Thundershock' for later research. Mabel looked at her brother and rolled her eyes. "Well I just think you two need to understand each other better! It sounds like you were both being a couple of grouchy mcgrouchersons to each other."

Ash gave Mabel a confused look. "...what?"

Pacifica sighed. "What she's trying to say is maybe you're trying too hard to get him to listen to you. Maybe you should try to show that you need to be a team instead of one bossing the other around."

Ash scratched his head. "Wow. I never thought about it like that. Man, when you say it like that, I guess I have been a bit of a jerk to him, huh? Well, I'll just have to make up with Pikachu once he's all better!"

All of a sudden, an aggravated voice shouted out from the Pokémon center's entrance. "THERE YOU ARE! You better buy me a new bike you jerk!"

Ash looked over to see a redhead storming up to him with the charred remains of a bike over her shoulders.

"Uh-oh..."
