Alright so there was a review that had some questions I neglected to answer, so I'm going to answer answer here really quick because why tf not.
Nick;
1. This fic takes place after Ash came home from Alola, right?
A: Depends on when I was first writing this fic, I would assume so yes.
2. What locations are being used in this fic?
A: Not sure what you mean by that, but to answer that to the best of my ability; this is my whole made up Region with a fairly interesting storyline I'm coming up with, whenever I get the motivation to write it.
3. How old is everyone in this fanfiction
A: I made up some ages that feel right to me.
Ash - 16 (If i mentioned his age as 10 yrs old before then disregard that)
Brock - 27
Professor Griffin - 43
Aaliyah - 19
Jessie - 23
James - 22
Leonardo - 49
Trent - 48
4. Who all is in the fanfic besides the ones mentioned in the summary?
A: Besides the people I mentioned in the ages, you'll have to see in the future chapters.
5. What Pokémon are owned by the main anime characters in this fanfic?
A: Besides Ash having Pikachu, they're all gonna get some Pokémon in the new region, it's like a new adventure for Ash.
Episode four; Swept away
"Pikachu use thunderbolt!"
"Pika!"
The third day of Ashs adventure turned out great, camping out in the woods the night was cold but the sleeping bags they brought along with them were rather warm. Aaliyah slept outside again, saying that she enjoyed sleeping with Frost since it would be better to look at the stars, and so she wouldn't have to sleep in the same tent with two males. After they got up and packed everything, Ash was searching for new Pokémon along the way, so far, no Pokémon other than a few familiar looking bug types they saw along the way which Ash ignored. He was looking for a new Pokémon to capture, one he and Pikachu hasn't seen before. Why was it so hard now to find a new Pokémon? He saw tons back in the last two towns they visited why was the forest so different? Were they all hiding from them? Then he saw it, a Pokémon sitting on the ground right in front of them, a few feet away. It looked strange, it had no mouth, and its ears were long and looked very fluffy the fur was black with glowing orange holes on its cheeks and red eyes, if he looked closer the Pokémon had spikes going from the forehead all the way down to the tail. "Woah" he breathed and stopped. The Pokémon perked and looked at him in alarm but didn't run. What Pokémon was that? Ash pulled out his Pokédex and pointed it at the creature.
"Moa, the mouthless dark type Pokémon. This Pokémon is rather territorial against other Pokémon but rarely attacks trainers that come too close, they're quite hard to catch, since they're more of the cowardly type and normally give up quite easily after being put into a Pokéball. But don't be fooled it has a powerful counterattack. You can normally find them sunbathing on boulders or near the entrance of caves" Ash stared down at the Pokédex before putting it away and looking determined.
"I'm gonna catch that Pokémon!" He announced clearly, pointing at the Moa. The Pokémon started at him before getting up, lifting its head and watching him, it was a little bit bigger than Pikachu but not by much, he took a Pokéball from his pocket and chucked it at the creature. The Moa ducked and dodged easily, staring at the rolling ball on the ground Ash blink while Aaliyah burst out laughing.
"Ash you can't just throw a Pokéball at it, you gotta battle it" She patted him on the back as Brock nodded in agreement. Ash blinked before realizing his mistake, he's definitely forgot. How could he? The boy blinked when the Pokéball was thrown back at him he caught it and looked at the Moa. "Looks like it wants you to try again" she nodded to Brock and backed away so Ash could catch his first Pokémon in this region without any help.
"Pika!" Oh right, he had Pikachu, looking over his shoulder at his best buddy he nodded to him. "Alright Pikachu, use thunderbolt on that Moa!" The Pikachu hopped off Ashs shoulder and did a small battle cry as it used Thunderbolt on its opponent. The Moa hopped to the side quickly to dodge. Deciding to fight back the Pokèmon used shadow ball. Ash noticed. "Pikachu use dodge and then use quick attack!" This time Pikachu dodged on time and successfully tackled the Moa to the ground. Ash was just about to throw a Pokèball when the Pokémon recovered, hopping to its feet it skidded off.
"Darn you almost had it Ash." Brock said with a chuckle as he patted the boy on the back. "Better luck next tim- Hey wait where are you going?" he had blinked in surprise when Ash suddenly ran off towards the direction the Moa had ran towards.
"I'm not giving up till I catch it!" "Pika"
"He's really stubborn, isn't he?" Aaliyah commented, petting Frost on the head as she spoke. "Let's follow after him Ok Brock?" she than sprinted after Ash. Brock could only chuckle in agreement as he followed after the singer and her Pokémon.
"Real stubborn" Brock agreed, remembering countless times how Ash refused to give up especially if it involved team rocket somehow capturing Pikachu and getting away, most of the time they got Pikachu back but those three were troublesome.
"I'm going to-" Ash started, he was going to say 'I'm going to get you' but ended up falling face first on the ground causing Aaliyah to stop and burst out laughing along with Brock who paused with a chuckle. "Get..it's not funny!" Ash lifted his head and blinked a few times, the Moa was right up to his face, blinking curious eyes at him. Ash went quiet for a moment before lunging his hand forward pokéball in hand, the Pokémon dodged and continued running. Groaning in frustration Ash stumbled to his feet and sprinted after the creature once again.
Aaliyah noticed something, blinking she once again ran after him. "Ash wait, something isn't right-" he ignored her, going straight after that Moa, the Pokémon took a quick glace back at Ash, Unfortunately the perks for not paying attention to where one is going has consequences, and this consequence ended up in the Moa tripping and rolling into a river with a rather violent current. Ash took notice of this and before Aaliyah could stop him, the young male jumped into the water, grabbing hold of the poor Moa, trying to keep them both afloat as they were swept down the steam. "Ash-" She turned to the Pokèmon breeder behind her. "Brock, Ash just jumped into the river"
"Pika!" Pikachu, a bit worried about the current could only follow his trainer from land.
"I noticed" he jogged next to Aaliyah, then ran down the river in the direction Ash had been swept. "Darn it Ash!" he yelled. Aaliyah and Frost shared a look, mentally speaking to one another before she hopped on the dragon like Pokémon's back and they quickly made their way down the river, Frost having to pick Brock up by the back of the shirt so he wouldn't be left behind.
"Ash!"
"Ew, James what are you doing?"
James glanced up from what he was doing, slime dripping in-between his fingers. "Investigating" he responded simply, shaking his hand a bit. "Seems like we had some type of visitor in our camp last night"
"Must've been the most disgusting Pokémon in the region then" Jessie scrunched up her nose. "It smells disgusting, worse when you're looking at it. James's stop touching that and wash your hands for god's sake"
"I have gloves" James responded but regardless pulled his hand away and shook the slime off of his hand. "Maybe I'll find something in the book I got from the local market" They had went shopping earlier, a bit of thievery never hurt anyone; he found a notebook with most of the Pokémon in the region and preferred to flip through that then a Pokedec.
"Well, if you're touching it, you can at least clean it up and get it out of here, it's disgusting" Jessie pinched her nose and wondered off, James rolled his eyes and wiped the rest of the slime on his pants- which in retrospect wasn't a good idea but he could wash it off later anyway. he flipped through the book, trying to find the peculiar looking goo and what Pokémon it could've possibly belong too. Eventually he found out it belonged to a water type Pokémon, Schroon, they looked like a scuffed version of a Raptor from Jurassic Park. (Not that any of the characters would know what that was). And was quite big, it was known to grow when in water but not any bigger than a human, they could be in all sorts of sizes and were very fast swimmers, their scales were a round and rough, blue and dripping with goo, it looked like their pads were made out of the substance, and it was rare. The boss would like this type of Pokémon.
James stood up, looking at the trail of goo he glanced behind himself, it might be more fresh prints then they thought it was and Jessie was too busy trying to fix her hair to notice he was following the trail, maybe he'd actually be able to capture something before the day ended.
Ash did his best to keep his head above the water, he had managed to grab hold of the smaller Pokémon that had fallen into the river because of their battle and was holding the Moa above his head, he inhaled too much water when he accidentally went under for more than five seconds. Eventually he did crash land on the beach of sand nearby, possibly miles away from where he was originally, but he didn't remember how far he had gone down, the young male sat up with the small Moa on his head. "I'm ok!" he called out, and got no response, other them him looking down with the Moa falling onto his lap.
Exhausted he fell on his back and closed his eyes, he got lucky he didn't pass out while in the water, but his legs and arms felt like they were on fire. "You, ok?" He wheezed, The Moa sat on his chest and surprisingly didn't run away like he would expect it too, it stared down at his face before sticking its nose in the pocket. "Hey-" he sat up, then blinked in surprise the little guy brought out the Pokéball and dropped it on his chest, motioning for him to use it. Did it want him to catch it? He felt pride well up in his stomach, had this Pokémon chosen him? He grabbed the poke ball and went to tap it on the nose, but the Moa jumped out of the way, Ash blinked and then tried again but the little Pokémon evaded his second attempt.
"You're tricking me" Ash fumed, he scrambled to his feet, he had just saved its life, why was it acting like this, the little Moa backed away from him, a little hyena laugh emitting from its holes, actually were those its mouth? it didn't look like it had one. "It's- not funny c'mon" The thought of being separated was way behind him, Ash wanted to catch this Pokémon, so he chased after the Moa as it bounced away.
Ten minutes after he left that location Aaliyah and Brock found their way to the beach, Frost melodically hummed and sniffed a footprint on the ground, "Nice find, Brock he went that way" Aaliyah hopped off of her Pokémon's back, looking at the footprints that evidently disappeared in the grass and into the forest, but they now had a direction to follow off of. "Let's go" she jogged off.
"Wait let me get off before you- WAH!" Brock couldn't get off of the dragon like Pokémon before it darted after Aaliyah on all fours and holy shit was this thing fast, how could Aaliyah keep up with Frost most of the time this was insane, he was glad he kept his Pokémon in their pokeball because they would have been left behind. Though he wondered, If Ash washed up on the beach, how come he didn't wait there for them to catch up?
You guys can tell there is a raptor theme to this fanfic :)
