Disclaimer: I own nothing
Izuku was with Victor. He's helping him move some of the things that are immediately important to him out of his house. They'll get the rest once things die down. There really isn't that much Victor needs from here. Just pictures of family and his guns. Can't forget those. They're almost done when Izuku sees someone standing in the doorway. That's not good.
"Can I help you?" asks Izuku.
As soon as Izuku says that Victor pulls out a pistol and slides against a wall. Izuku knows he's ready for a fight if one breaks out.
"I'm not with the syndicate if that's what you're wondering." says the kid.
"Then what are you doing here?" asks Izuku.
"I'm here for you." he says.
"You a fan?" asks Izuku.
"Far from it." says the kid.
"What's your beef with me?" asks Izuku.
"You killed my father." says the kid.
This is gonna sound horrible but, "You'll need to be more specific." says Izuku.
The kid is clearly agitated by him saying that. Though Izuku would probably be pissed if he got that treatment.
"Ben Walker. The Titanium Titan." says the kid.
"I never knew he had a kid." says Izuku.
"Would you have killed him if you did?" asks the kid.
"Yes… I would. I've killed fathers, mothers, husbands and wives. It's never stopped me before." says Izuku, "but none of this matters. A pro hero killed Ben Walker."
"Hisashi Midoriya killed my father. Your father killed my father, it's only right I kill his son." says the kid.
"First of all. Ben killed himself with the life he lived. He robbed, lied, cheated, and killed for a living. That man sold people. Sold real human beings. He was gonna get himself killed eventually." says Izuku, "Second, think of your family. Don't you wanna go home to them. You start something now and I can guarantee you'll never see them again."
"I've got no family left to turn to." says the kid.
"Fuck." says Izuku under his breath, "I turned you to an orphan, huh? Look, I didn't mean to do that but you can still stop this. I know I wronged you but you can start a family of your own once you get a little older."
"I can and I will after I kill you." says the kid.
"Christ kid. How old are you?" asks Izuku.
"Twelve." says the kid.
"What's your name?"
"Ben Jr."
"Ben Jr. I'm sorry I really am but if you want to try to kill me you will die. You can just turn around and leave hell, I can get you a place to live. I can get you a job. I can hook you up so you don't have to do this." says Izuku.
"I want to." says Ben Jr.
"Ben I don't wanna kill you. I don't like killing kids." says Izuku.
"You've done it before?" asks Ben Jr.
"... Well yeah, but I wasn't happy about it." says Izuku.
"You hypocrite. You kill bad men but you're horrible. You said it yourself. You kill husbands, wives, fathers, sons, mothers, and daughters. You hold no remorse for the people you kill. I've heard about the way you smile and laugh when killing people. You might have a good reason to kill the people you do, but you're kidding yourself if you think that's why you do it. You do it because you like hurting other people." says Ben Jr.
"I'd hardly call them people after everything they've done." says Izuku.
"There it is. That right there. That's the worst part. I saw that snuff film you made. I saw you justify your actions by calling those people inhuman. Those were living breathing human beings you mutilated." says Ben Jr.
"I'm" starts Izuku.
"Subhuman." spouts Ben Jr.
"Come again." says Izuku, he's audibly pissed.
"You're fucking subhuman." says Ben Jr.
"I'm trying to give you a way out of this, just take the out dude. Or do you wanna die that bad?" asks Izuku.
"There's that temper of yours." says Ben Jr.
"Alright, will you shut up about that dude. We just met five minutes ago. You don't know me, and no junior high psychology course lets you analyze me like your Sigmund Frued or something. Leave now, or say fuck it we're dueling." snaps Izuku.
"Fuck it we're dueling." says Ben Jr.
"Are you sure?" asks Izuku.
"I"m sure." says Ben Jr.
"When and where?" asks Izuku.
"Here and now." says Ben Jr.
"I'm not splattering your gray matter all over my buddies walls." says Izuku.
"If it's not here and now I'm letting the snakes know that Ketsueki is Izuku Midoriya." says Ben Jr.
Well fuck.
"It's cool." mouths Victor.
"Fine, but I'm going to my car to grab something silenced. Come inside." says Izuku.
As soon as he sees Victor he freezes.
"I'm not gonna shoot you. I was just worried you were someone else." says Victor.
"You work for that ass?" asks Ben.
"Everyone has their faults." says Victor.
Izuku is in the garage grabbing his silenced magnum but he can still hear this conversation. It's like people forget that he has super hearing.
"Like what?" asks Ben.
"You mentioned the temper. I've seen it lead him to making some bad choices. I think he's killed a few people that didn't quite deserve it." says Victor.
What does he mean by that?
"Then why work for him?" asks Ben.
"He's helped me with a lot. He's saved my life more than a few times. He's not a horrible person. Not usually. He's usually a good man. He enjoys helping people. It's one of the few things that makes him really happy. He enjoys hurting people too. I've seen it firsthand. I've come to distrust words like deserve but if anybody does deserve to get hurt or killed it's the people he's dealt with. Maybe the both of us do deserve to die for all the things we've done and all the people, and yes I do think they're people that we've killed." says Victor.
"I'd like a more concrete answer than that." says Ben Jr.
"I'd like you to reconsider this duel." says Victor.
"I'm quick." replies Ben Jr.
"He's quicker." says Victor.
"I still want a better answer for my question." says Ben Jr.
Victor sighs, "I don't want to call him a necessary evil but it's something like that."
"If it's necessary it's not evil." says Izuku as he strolls back into the house.
"I'm sorry if you overheard that." says Victor.
"Victor, you are one of the most loyal men I know. I cannot be mad at you." says Izuku.
"You ready?" asks Ben Jr.
"Sure." replies Izuku before walking to the other side of the room.
"One last time. Are you sure about this?" asks Izuku.
"Yes." replies Ben Jr.
Before Ben even has a chance to realize what just happened there are two golf ball sized holes in his chest. He's dead before he hits the ground.
Izuku calmy strolls past the body and looks into the bullet holes in the wall.
"I think the bullets hit the brick wall in your backyard. Could you pick them up and bring them back while I lap up this mess?" asks Izuku.
"Yeah. I'll be right back."
Izuku laps up the mess, wraps the body in a tarp and stuff it in his trunk. He's gonna need Giran to help with the body.
Soon after Izuku and Victor are on the road. They're driving to a parking garage where Kurogiri is gonna portal them to Giran's place to drop off the body and they'll go home from there.
"You think it was a bad call to kill that kid?" asks Izuku.
"It's hard to say. I don't think he deserved it. He hadn't done anything wrong beforehand to my knowledge. But he came at you with a gun. You gave him chance after chance to leave. You offered him help. I don't blame him for what he did. I would've done the same. Hell, I did do the same." says Victor, "I don't blame you either. He challenged you to a duel and lost. I really think that's what it boils down to."
"I could've beat him without killing him. I could've hit his arm. Maybe I could've shot the gun out of his hand but I haven't quite mastered that the way Doc did." says Izuku, "Still he was a good teacher."
"You sure you could've beat him without killing him?" asks Victor.
"Positive." replies Izuku.
"Hmm… He knew our names and faces though. That isn't good." says Victor.
"No it's not." says Izuku.
"I think if you let him live he'd have come back with more." says Victor.
"I'm surprised that wasn't his first plan." says Izuku.
"Me too honestly. I'm thankful it wasn't but…" says Victor.
"Yeah." hums Izuku, "You think others are gonna find us soon?"
"Not if we move." says Victor, "How's that coming along?"
"My aunt has this Cabin. I've stayed there a couple times. We've talked about me buying the place off of her. Then she gets my house and gives it to a property manager to rent it out." says Izuku.
"How secluded is it?" asks Victor.
"Very. It also has room for the five of us. It's the perfect place for us right now." says Izuku.
"Good." says Victor.
Soon after they drop the body off at Giran's place for him to deal with. After that they get home. The house isn't really meant for five people but it'll have to do for now.
"How'd it go?" asks Dabi.
Izuku laughs at that.
"It couldn't have gone that bad could it?" asks Dabi.
Victor chuckles at that one.
"You fill him in. I've got some more shit I need to take care of." says Izuku.
"Like what?" asks Toga.
"Remember the hero on my case?" asks Izuku.
"Eraserhead?" asks Dabi.
"Yeah that one." says Izuku, "I'm gonna talk to him about retiring and see if I can get him to piss off."
"You think that'll work?" asks Dabi.
"I guess we'll find out." says Izuku as he walks towards the door.
"I got the door." says Victor.
"Thanks man." replies Izuku as he leaves.
Authors Note
Hey everybody. Long time no see. You've probably noticed by now but it's taking me a while to finish these chapters. I'm getting rid of any type of update schedule because I know that I won't be able to keep it. I'm still gonna keep the story going but it's gonna be pretty slow for a while.
I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. The next one will start where this left off with Izuku going to see Eraserhead.
Dsman: That's actually a pretty interesting idea. I'll be honest I hadn't considered making Dabi the mole but that would be one hell of a twist. It's not gonna happen but it would be cool. Also about Dabi's loyalty being buyable, thats true to an extent. He'll do good work to the best of his abilities when payed well but after he's earned his pay his loyalty is gone. Izuku is one of the few exceptions to that rule because he helped Dabi fight Endeavor even though he told Dabi it was a bad call. That's the main reason Dabi is loyal to Izuku.
Yeah if Izuku just went full on feral he'd lose his supporting network or most of it at least. So no Ruby would not help him.
I think bad people mourn just the same as good people. It's natural to mourn what you've lost. Unless you're emotionless or soulless or something. I think I should have phrased the question better. I'm not asking if he's full on evil. I'm just asking if he's a bad person.
Bluehellfire666: I'm gonna rephrase the question a little. I'm not asking if he's evil. I'm just asking if he's a bad person. I think the Shigiraki or Overhaul comparisons are a little far because they are actually evil. You're thoughts on the subject don't have to change I just wanted to be clear on what I was asking.
U.A. would be great for him. He doesn't really interact with people his age and he certainly doesn't hang around the best people. It would be good for him to get a new start with new friends that haven't killed anyone. All for One would certainly be a problem but he'll have to deal with that as it comes.
I am doing good actually. I hope you are too. :)
