Tara opens the main door to 221 Baker Street and finds Mycroft sitting on the stairs, waiting for her. She glares at him and he holds her gaze for a few minutes.

'Whatever it is, I don't want to hear it' she tells him sternly.

'I didn't it mean it...' he tried to tell her.

'You didn't mean to tell me that if I did get pregnant, you'd expect me to get an abortion?' she asked him, sarcastically.

'That is if it's your choice. But if not, I would still provide for the child's life. But financial support is where it ends, nothing more. I do not wish to be a part of its life otherwise' he said truthfully, knowing very well that this conversation was going downhill very fast. But he also didn't want to give her any false hope.

'So, you would just walk away from me?' she asked as she held his gaze. She knew his answer.

He dropped his head at that 'You know very well I do not do well with children. My job, my lifestyle is not suitable for a child' he said with a hint of shame in his voice. Nobody would have noticed it except for Tara.

'I do' she said firmly.

'Do you want to have children?' he asked, the worry in his voice was evident.

'I don't know...I don't think so' she was unsure, how she felt about the subject.

'Then why are we arguing about this' Mycroft said as he suppressed the urge to roll his eyes at her.

'It just bothers me that someday if I do get pregnant you would leave me' the hurt in her voice did not escape Mycroft's notice

'So, are we ending this relationship?' he asked emotionlessly, preparing for what he thought was inevitable. This was it. Their relationship had run its course.

'No, why would you say that?' her voice went up a whole octave as she said that.

'Because we have a difference in opinion' he stated in an obvious manner.

'Every couple has differences in their opinions. There are a lot of other things we disagree on. That doesn't mean we should break up' she explained, immediately realizing maybe that is what Mycroft wanted. 'Do you want to break up?' she asked.

'No, I do not wish to end our relationship. But the difference in opinion bothers me.' He was being honest. He didn't want her to wake up one day and realize it was a mistake all along. Resent him.

'We can work through that. I am not sure if I want kids but I am sure that I want you'

'Do you still want to move in with me?' he asked hopefully.

She hesitantly nodded 'Yes'. She reached for his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, that was the most she could bring herself to do. They both would need some time to process this new information of their relationship.

...

Tara hadn't officially moved in yet however she was already wondering whether she should stop renting the apartment and just move all of her stuff into Mycroft's mansion. She couldn't remember the last time she properly slept in her own bed since Mycroft was back in town. It had been months ago. Either she spent the night at his place, which most often was the case, or he spent the night with her. Besides she loved waking up next to Mycroft. She would study his face while he was asleep. It was surprising how utterly peaceful he looked, there was no sign of stress on his face when he slept. She wished he would always be like that. She loved the way he would smile when she used morse code and tapped I love you on his chest when they cuddled. He loved the way he never had to tell he loved her, she knew. To date, he had never said the words, but she never brought it up and she never stopped saying it herself. She wanted to be with him, but after their last conversation, she couldn't help but feel reluctant. So, she delayed her move. She always had one or the other excuse as to why her move was delayed. Mycroft was beginning to think she would never move in and so, he gave up.

Grace walked into the bar and looked for Tara and John. She found them sitting at their usual table. She made her way to them and enveloped Tara in a bone-crushing hug. 'Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you so much' Grace kissed Tara on the cheek. 'As you said, I went to the doctor and turns out I was worried for nothing. I am not pregnant' she exclaimed.

'Wait, you were pregnant?' John asked in shock.

'No' Grace laughed in excitement. John furrowed his brows in confusion.

'Well, I am glad someone's happy' Tara muttered and gulped down the entire glass of bourbon in one go.

'Oohhh, what's up your arse today?' Grace asked her boss, before placing their drink orders.

'Nothing...' Tara muttered.

'Okay' John said flatly.

'You guys are seriously not going to ask me?' Tara asked desperately when her friends acted coolly to her distress.

'Why? You're going to tell us anyway.' Grace pointed out.

Tara frowned and told them anyway. 'Fine. Mycroft and I had the Do you want to have kids? Conversation'

'Ooohhhhh' John and Grace grimaced and said at the same time.

'Yeah, ooohhhh. And now I am rethinking our entire relationship' Tara told them.

'Here we go again?' John exhaled

'What do you mean?' Tara asked, her voice becoming a little pitchy.

'Does Mycroft want kids?' John asked.

'No' Tara told them

'Do you want kids?' Grace asked

'I'm not sure' Tara murmured

'Do you want to be with Mycroft?' John asked

'Yes' Tara whined

'Do you love Mycroft?' Grace asked

'Yes'

'Does Mycroft love you?' John asked

'Yes'

'You see where we're going with this?' Grace asked her

'No' Tara frowned in confusion

'Do you want to take this?' Grace asked John

'Naah, I'll let you get this one.' John told her

'Thanks' Grace told John and turned to Tara. 'For two people who claim to be in love, you both have serious commitment issues' she told her.

'I am moving in with him' Tara pointed out.

'Oh. My God. Do we have to spell out everything for this girl?' John exclaimed.

'Oh, come on. Not you too, John' Tara whined.

'Both of you keep trying to sabotage your own relationship. Look at all your relationship milestones. The first time you two got together...' John explained

'You blew him off' Grace continued

'A week after you met his parents...' John raised another point

'He stood you up and ghosted you for 3 days.' Grace finished for him

'And now just before you two are about to move in together...' John continued

'You two decide to have the most dangerous conversation in history and now you're rethinking your entire relationship' Grace finished.

'Actually, he straight up told me he expected me to have an abortion and gave me an out' Tara told them and looked away.

John nodded in understanding. He had expected Mycroft to do something as stupid as that.

'What do you mean gave you an out?' Grace asked.

'He asked me if I wanted to break up over this' Tara told them

'Hence, our case.' John told her.

'Look, you love him, he loves you, you two want to be together, don't let something that you're so unsure about get in the way of that. And maybe you don't want to have kids or maybe someday you do, maybe he'll come around, or maybe he won't. Maybe you two will just end up as one of those couples who just have a bunch of dogs...' Grace explained but was cut off by John.

John slightly worried about the direction Grace was taking. 'Thank you, Grace. I'll take it from here.' John said to Grace and then turned to Tara. 'The point we're trying to make is, STOP TRYING TO SABOTAGE YOUR OWN RELATIONSHIP, EITHER BREAK IT OFF ALREADY OR BE TOGETHER. Don't put us through this Will they, won't they thing...' John scolded Tara.

'And stop ruining Thursday Nights' Grace added

'Yeah, that too...' John agreed

'You two are right...' Tara admitted

'See, what did I tell you...' Grace told her, throwing her hands up in the air in victory, she high-fived John.

Tara picked up her bag and coat and started walking away.

'Where the hell are you going?' Grace yelled as Tara started to walk into the crowd.

'I am going to go get my man' Tara yelled as she disappeared into the crowd.

'Well now that we've fixed that, I say it's time to polish off our drinks and head home.' John told Grace.

'I don't know it looks like there are some hotties in here' Grace said and looked around the bar.

'One pregnancy-scare a week isn't enough, you want to make it to a hattrick' John asked sarcastically.

'No, I am serious. Look around this bar, it's overflowing with hot, single people. Come on, man, have some fire' Grace winked at him.

'Darling, that's just the booze and your bad taste talking. Come on, let's get you home' John got up to pay their check.

'Okay, if we're not getting laid, let's just finish Girls' Night with some spice.'

'Okay, for the hundredth time this is not girls' night and I am not singing Spice Girls with you' John told her. He had let himself go to Girls' Night, he was not going to follow Grace and Tara's tradition of singing Spice Girls.

'Well, then we'll sing Sinatra' Grace smirked and pulled John by his collar to the stage.

As Grace sang and danced to Nancy Sinatra's These boots are made for walking, John contemplated why he chose to hang out with the girls and how on earth was it any better than hanging out with Sherlock. He was brought out of his thoughts by the crowd booing Grace. They were not wrong to boo her. She was ruining the old classic.

'Oh, what the hell, I am not going to remember any of this in the morning anyway' he muttered to himself and went to rescue Grace. He snatched the mic from Grace and started singing himself. The crowd cheered and whistled as Grace and John, danced to the song.
