Chapter 16: the gathering

Both of the fires of Team Magma stepped forward and Courtney's Camerupt stomped forward and let out a roar. Me and Tank stood our ground with the treat before us, I couldn't help but think of the girl who fought the admin. The admin, a fire of Team Magma, didn't care about her life and was more than willing to kill her, not even showing any kind of remorse for her actions. The sky had gotten brighter, and this confused all of us, until we all looked up. The fire that Camerupt released with its eruption attack was dropping onto Camerupt, with Courtney guiding it down. This was surprising until we thought about it. her swallow used double team and all with boosted speed channelled the fire and got it to follow the copies, making it curve and direct itself down. The copies disappeared not too far from the ground and the fire crashed into Camerupt with such a force that level heavy burns on the Camerupt and bush everyone back off our feet. The fires of Team Magma were not so lucky, they were pushed back enough to fall off the edge of the bank and into the river below. Unfortunately, the Camerupt that was with the fires of Team Magma perished in the collected fire.
For now, we were safe, although I could handle myself in the battle and Tank isn't exactly a push over, the situation was averted, and Courtney was alright. "We should head to the next town or city and rest up there after that battle" Courtney suggested. It seemed like a good idea since Courtney put up a good fight against one of the fires. Thankfully, the next city wasn't too far away, roughly a thirty-minute walk at most away and there was Fortree City. We made our way from the weather institute and crossed the bridge; it was a rope bridge with planks of wood, so it rocked as we walked across.
When we arrived at Fortree City, we were surprised that there was a giant air ship above the tallest treehouse. The city is known specifically for their treehouses, they're very well designed and the people seem to avoid the biggest tree. I can guess to why that was, my guess wasn't confirmed when I looked and saw the gym leader walking to that tree and up the staircase up to the big house above. "What do you think is going on?" Tank questioned. Courtney answered "before we met you at Meteor Falls, we were at the Lavaridge Town and told the gym leader, Flannery, what has happened with Team Magma and Team Aqua. This could be in response to that since last time they moved was a big event" this shows how seriously they were taking the situation when Team Magma and Team Aqua are involved, guessing last time wasn't exactly a good time. A voice called out "hello down there, what you waiting for? Come on up" when all three of us looked up, it was Flannery, and she was waving us to join her. We walked up the tree and to the big building at the top where there was a platform, guessing for people to fly onto using pokemon when travelling from long distances. When we walked inside and there was a long table with gym leaders on either side. Starting on the left was Flannery, Wattson and Brawly while on the other side was Roxanne and other gym leaders I haven't met including the gym leader from Fortree City. "we're missing the gym leader from Sootopolis City and the gym leaders from Mossdeep City" Roxanne informed us with a smile, and she continued "they're one of the last ones to arrive to these meetings because they live across the sea on their own island. I usually come with Brawly so he's here earlier than he would be, he'd be late too due to location too"
"They were the ones who brought up the information that Team Magma and Team Aqua are making their move to Flannery. I appreciate the information, little as it might be, but we need to gather trustworthy trainers to help combat both teams. Why do you think you're trustworthy?" Winona asked. Before me or Courtney could answer, Tank stepped in to answer "out of the four people who was responsibly three years ago for Team Galactic for being disbanded and ultimately prevented the collapse of nature. Two of those four people are in front of you right now and we fought against them to aid the region that was much larger in scale compared to Hoen" he was right, and Winona looked to him and sighed. Tank continued "both of the teams seem to be posing a possible problem and if they really are as dangerous as they are then we'd be the best help you can get" he was interrupted by a message. He continued "and we've got someone on the inside of Team Aqua who'll be able to give us relevant data and accurately" he showed the message from Lace which read "infiltration was successful, don't expect too much right away and by the looks of it, they're working on something to do with computer work. Message again when I can, don't message me or it'll blow my cover"
They seemed surprised by the news from Tank as well as how quickly she had been able to infiltrate the team. "Team Aqua is about the seas, so why would the be looking at computer work?" I asked as Tank and Courtney thought. "Last time, they both were stopped near the cave of origin because they needed a submarine to get to that level under the see. The developers to the submarine said it needed onboard navigation to traverse the sea like that. That explains why they'd be focused on computers to work on navigating the sea" Flannery speculated. Tank thought aloud "then because of that, they might plan a theft job on Team Magma, if what I heard was right, since they're moving parts to Lilycove City. Team Magma is building an advanced submarine and Team Aqua is working on the internal mechanisms to it by stealing it from Magma to the use it to get what they want, Kyogre, and Team Magma to get to Groudon"
