"We should read." Rhea said
The demigods nodded vigorously.
"Sooner we finish this extra book, the better." Connor said. Hermes sighed as the realization of not saving Luke sunk in again. He felt that he failed Luke again though the demigods had told him that Hermes hadn't done anything of the sort.
"Maybe we could save another son of Hermes if not Luke." Percy said, noticing Hermes' expression. Grover's eyes widened but he and Nico shook their heads.
"He wanted to pass, Percy." Grover said
"Grover's right. He was already too weak when we saw him." Nico said
"What if we rebuild the realm?" Annabeth said
"Cannot create a huge realm in so less time." Tyson shook his head.
"The most we could do is get a proper goodbye." Nico said with a pause
"What do you say?" Castor asked Dionysus and Hermes who nodded immediately.
"Then we should hurry up the reading." Travis said
"Yeah, there are only about 3-4 chapters left." Hazel said
"I'll read." Percy said and picked up the book. Everybody made themselves comfortable.
Cyrene Punches a Lion
"Nicee." Thalia laughed
"I take offense to that. I'm a Leo." Percy said with a mock offended expression. Thalia snorted with laughter.
"No. I'm a Leo. You're a Percy." Leo grinned. The seven burst out laughing.
As a demigod, I get a lot of questions… story answers all that and more!
"Well this should be interesting." Nico said
"Yep." Perseus said
She was born in Thessaly…swords to Disney movies.
"Well I've only watched Hercules." Thalia shrugged with a mischievous glint in her eyes. The demigods gave barks of laughter.
"I've watched Ariel and Finding Nemo and Dory too." Percy said
"Well duh." Triton nodded in agreement. Tyson nodded as well. The trio high fived.
"I prefer Sony but I love Hercules." Nico smirked. The gods groaned good naturedly.
"Especially the blue fire." Nico added. Hades buried his head in his hands.
"And the blue skin." Percy winked at his father. Poseidon groaned.
"And the white beard." Thalia and Jason high fived. The demigods and younger gods dissolved into laughter.
Her friends knew better…I like Cyrene.
Everybody laughed.
When she was young…(possibly aka the Hipster)
They all roared with laughter. Even Hera was trying bit back a laugh.
Became king of the Lapiths…plenty of saltwater in my system
The sea gang grinned.

Everybody chuckled.
"Well sometimes…" Nico trailed off. Percy pouted at him and then smirked and flipped him off in a fun way. Nico burst out laughing.
"That was revenge wasn't it?" He choked out. Percy nodded. Thalia, Jason, Grover and the Stolls burst out laughing while the others were clueless but the demigods still found it funny. The gods simply raised their eyebrows and the younger gods chuckled.
Anyway, Cyrene grew up dreaming of war and conquest.
Clarisse and Ares nodded.
"Well most kids dream about being an astronaut as a kid." Annabeth said
"True. Surprisingly even I wanted to be one when I was very very young. I outgrew it though." Percy said.
"Then what did you dream of?" Hermes asked curiously
"Well I'm pretty sure that I had contemplated being a merman when I was 5 but then I wanted to be an astronaut when I was six." Percy said. Poseidon, Triton, Amphitrite and Tyson chuckled.
She wanted to spend…Sheep are boring.'
"They can be amusing sometimes." Grover said
Daughter,' he said sternly…waged war against wild animals
"That's fair enough." Piper said
"And a good way to pass time and energy and guard the sheep." Clarisse nodded
She had plenty to choose…badger population to extinction.
"Damnn." Castor whispered theatrically. The demigods nodded and gave a few snickers.
"I like dragons." Leo said
"You like Festus and metal dragons." Piper corrected.
"That's fair, I guess." Leo shrugged.
Cyrene got addicted to danger…They trusted Cyrene completely.
"Well I guess that anybody would trust her fighting skills as it seems likes she kills dragons for breakfast." Jason said
"I like pumas." Thalia said
"You like the brand." Nico smirked. Thalia rolled her eyes at him and stuck his tongue out.
One cow would get a whiff of danger…slaughtered the entire wolf pack.
The romans, Percy and Jason grimaced.
"These are wild wolves though." Jason shrugged
Oh, cool,' said the first cow…two fine hunting dogs as gifts
The hunters grinned.
"Hunting dogs are pretty awesome." Percy said
"How do you know that?" Poseidon asked with a raised eyebrow
"I just looked it up. I wanted a dog for the apartment but then we couldn't buy one because I can't take care of him because of college and mom and Paul have to take care of Estelle. Mrs O'Leary is awesome but she's technically a hellhound and can't fit in the apartment." Percy said
"You contemplated hunting hounds?" Nico asked
"Beagles actually." Percy said
"Hmm. Yeah they're lovable but they can be aggressive and they bark… a lot." Nico said
"Yeah. It's a pity. They look adorable." Percy sighed
"You could look for a shih tzu or maltese breed if you want small dogs." Nico suggested
"Yeah that's there but then not guarding type." Percy said
"So you want a guard dog or a small dog?" Nico asked
"Guard and friendly." Percy said
"Get a golden retriever. There grooming is hard and they're big but they're awesome." Nico said.
"I'll think about it." Percy grinned. Nico nodded. "Take me along when you want to get a dog." He said. Percy nodded.
Hades looked proud of Nico for knowing about dogs. The others watched this exchange with interest.
"That was fairly informative." Will grinned. Nico grinned back.
Percy continued the book.
She tried to recruit Cyrene…just in case you change your mind.'
Everybody chuckled.
With her two new hunting dogs…they wouldn't get into trouble
Everybody laughed and chuckled.
"Poor bears." Frank said as he tried to hold a chuckle.
One day on Mount Olympus…'Oh, I'm thinking about it,' Apollo admitted.
The Apollo kids face palmed.
The next morning…you ask a question like that?)
"I swear that is soo weird. I mean it's obvious. Of course we use the restroom." Katie said. The demigods and gods nodded.
"Also, I hate it when people ask 'do you have a restroom.' I mean- No we don't. We pee in the damn yard." Percy said. There was silence for barely a second before everybody burst into laughter.
"I'm so using that next time." Travis choked out. Percy continued reading after two minutes.
Cyrene's dogs were guarding…heroic line you hear very often
A few snickers.
The lion sprang…She punched the lion in the face
"Hence the chapter title." Annabeth chuckled. Percy nodded.
Then ducked as he…fight was getting serious
"My friend, it didn't seem like a joke at first." Pollux said.
"That's true. It was just getting more serious than before." Percy said
The clouds opened over a nearby…he was related to several of them.
Athena glared at Apollo who ignored it.
"She did look good." He defended himself.
He watched as Cyrene…He was happy to be a spectator
Artemis nodded and she and Apollo grinned at each other. Apollo's kids high fived him.
Man, I just wish I could share…Um, hello ...' said Chiron.
Everybody chuckled.
"Chiron's like 'Uh excuse me?" Travis laughed. Apollo grinned sheepishly and Chiron chuckled.
'Dude, sorry to interrupt…you don't see every day.'
"Definitely not. That's unique." Zoe said
That lady has game, right?...whisk her away to somewhere else?
"Smooth dad. Very smooth." Lee laughed. Apollo grinned sheepishly at him.
Chiron tugged thoughtfully… raised high in victory.
"Whoa damn." Leo said
"Agreed." The demigods chorused as their jaws hit the ground.
"She seems like Apollo and Ares' type. I'm not surprised that one of them liked her." Chris said.
'See ya,' Apollo told…'I have a girlfriend to abduct.'
"Abduct?" Will squeaked in a high pitched voice.
"Not literally. Just like from her family but she would know." Apollo said. Will sighed in relief.
"Well that's better." He said
Cyrene had just finished…Cyrene would kill
A few chuckles.
Apollo stepped out of his chariot…light flickered around him.
"Well, you dressed well for asking her out." Hazel nodded. Aphrodite agreed as well.
"That sounds like a good outfit. Good job, Apollo." She said. Apollo grinned.
Cyrene frowned…enemies and also date a god!
"That kind of sounded like you were offering her a hotel deal but sounded like a good one." Michael said. Apollo chuckled.
Cyrene thought about it…was a sweet ride
"Yep." Apollo said
'I'm willing to go on a first date,'…suppose Africa works
The demigods chuckled at that.
"Italian is awesome. Good taste in food." Nico said
"And me." Apollo said and grinned at Nico who smirked back at him. Apollo chuckled.
Can I take my hunting dogs?'…when we get there.
Everybody laughed.
"The mental image of sheep and cows in Apollo's chariot…" Grover shook his head as he laughed.
With a shrug, Cyrene whistled…they were probably okay.
"As far as she's concerned." Theseus nodded.
Apollo took his new girlfriend…became a hot item.
"Percy-" Lee started
"I-I- Why? Like why?" Will and Rachel said
Percy grinned at them.
"At least I didn't go into the specifics." He said. The Apollo kids paled.
"Yeah, that's good. I'm glad about that." Michael said. Apollo turned red but grinned.
They hunted together in the hills…always good for a laugh
Hermes pouted at Apollo who chuckled.
"Hey!" The Hermes kids complained playfully. Maia chuckled.
Back in Greece…dedicated to Apollo, also obviously
"Yeah, that's kind of a no brainer." Eros said.
The city of Cyrene became…send me pictures.)
"We can disguise ourselves." Connor said in a mysterious voice. Grover snorted.
"All your scents are so dam powerful." He said. Thalia and Percy snickered lightly.
Connor, Travis and Chris smirked.
"Masters of disguise honey. Masters of disguise." They said. Grover raised an eyebrow and Hermes grinned and laughed.
Apollo and the huntress Cyrene…made Aristaios a minor deity.
The demigods cheered.

Cyrene's younger son…he foresaw his own death
"Oh that's messed." Rachel winced.
That kind of knowledge…but Idmon took it in stride.
"Huh." Nico tilted his head.
"Good for him." Hades said approvingly.
Years later, when the hero…That's dedication for you.
"Might as well die a hero." Clarisse said
"True." Frank said "Might as well burn bright if he is to die." He said. Ares smiled proudly at his kids.
"Wise words." Percy said.
Cyrene was happy in Africa…Apollo visited less and less often.
Apollo grimaced.
Gods are like that…Do I have to?'
All the gods winced. The demigods just sighed and shrugged. They'd gotten around to accepting that and it didn't bother them as much.
Cyrene never thought she'd get homesick…Lapiths lived a pretty harsh life.
"Oh that's depressing." Dakota said
Cyrene ventured into the wilderness…sword into the hard ground.
"That will dull your blade." Every single demigod said at the same time.
Percy burst out laughing as he read the next line.
That will dull your blade,' said a voice at her shoulder.
"Dad." Clarisse said. Frank nodded. The demigods all chuckled and Ares grinned.
"Exactly the same line." Connor said.
Chris suddenly whooped.
"What's up?" Clarisse asked him
"I was right about her being both Apollo and Ares' type." He grinned. The demigods laughed and whooped.
"Matchmaker in making." Eros said. Chris chuckled.
Standing right next to her…'You're Ares,' Cyrene guessed
"Bulls eye." Lee said
"The archery part of it in this story just makes it even better." Silena grinned. Lee returned it.
The war god grinned…You need a real man.
"Oh, she does eh?" Clarisse said. Percy shook with laughter as he read the next line again.
'Oh, I do, eh?'
Clarisse face palmed and everybody laughed good naturedly.
Cyrene yanked her sword…and make me a queen?'
"Technically Ares didn't do anything to her." Jason said
"She hadn't met him before. She figured that he would have almost the same approach." Aphrodite said
"Right." Jason said
Ares laughed. 'No…shouted encouragement.
"Reminds me of Otrera." Frank commented
"I'm more on the fact of shouting encouragement?" Percy said
"I did encourage you too." Ares said. Percy snorted
"Sure you did. You said 'Not bad punk.'" Percy said. Ares shrugged. Everybody snickered.
Finally, exhausted, Cyrene threw…kissing instead of fighting
"Ugh." Clarisse said playfully. Everybody laughed. The demigods cheered and wolf whistled. Ares turned red and Aphrodite shook her head.
I call that a lapse of judgment…always the best choice
Ares glared at Percy but there wasn't much heat behind it.
"Not exactly my opinion anymore." Percy said without looking at him.
But Cyrene was vulnerable…Diomedes their king.
"It'd be like a blessing to them." Leto said
The guy was a real sweetheart.
"Which means that he was not a sweetheart at all." Leo said
"Exactly Leo. Exactly." Percy said
When he wasn't waging war…couple more chapters.
"A real sweetheart indeed." Piper wrinkled her nose. Everybody snickered.
Eventually Cyrene grew tired…together is ending, Cyrene.'
"That's nice of you dad. Well, the forgiving part." Will said. Apollo smiled
"She did nothing wrong." He said.
I know.' Cyrene felt relieved…'I belong here,' she said
Everybody nodded.
Apollo nodded…right prescription glasses.
"I wonder if she had eye power then." Jason said
"Maybe. Maybe not. It might be possible that you can see clearer with glasses even if you don't have eye power. Though, it would cause a headache I think. I'm not too sure about that though." Will said
"Maybe." Jason shrugged
Suddenly the world was in higher… clear, beautiful voices
"Whoa." The demigods said
"If I'm not wrong. Apollo made her a naiad." Triton said. Apollo nodded.
'What have you done?'…And thanks for the memories.'
Silena and Aphrodite cooed. Apollo gave a small smile which was a little sad.
I'm not sure what Cyrene…publisher any more ideas.)
Everybody chuckled.
Nobody knows whether Cyrene…never again looked back
"She had a peaceful end." Nico smiled. The demigods smiled.
That takes guts…how he screwed up
"Damn, Percy." Beckendorf said. Percy shrugged.
"Done." He said
"Honestly, one of the things that I learnt from this chapter and the Otrera chapter is that if you want Ares to like you then be a warrior who likes to kill for defense and when he shows up, fight him and done." Jason said. Everybody laughed
"Well Percy." Nico said to him
"Oh shut up." Percy said to him.
"Yeah no." Ares shook his head.
"And I'm his cousin brother as much as I'm yours." Percy said. Nico nodded and laughed.
"I'll read." Zeus said. Percy tossed him the book.
