Geralt and Jaskier have a falling-out. This leads to Geralt returning to Kaer Morhen without Jaskier, done with the bard's reproaches and behaviour. In his attempt to get as far away from Geralt as possible Jaskier ends in a dank prison cell, exposed to torture, sentenced to death and awaiting his execution. Geralt only hears of it when it's already too late to save him. Or is it?

Everything was going on just fine. Geralt had finally taken his responsibilities concerning his Child Surprise. Yennefer was in Kaer Morhen to teach her how to control her chaos. The witchers were wary, not used to so many strangers in their keep, but none of them was outwardly aggressive. So, yeah, everything was just fine. At least as long as no one paid too much attention.

Jaskier struggles with his ageing body and Geralt's seemingly ageless appearance, his feelings for the Witcher and his role in Geralt's life, Yennefer's influence on Geralt, and life at large. Naturally, that's not going to end well... Inspired by the song "Her Sweet Kiss" from the show, hence the title.

In which Geralt gets injured, has no choice but to put Ciri in danger, and they both come out stronger because of it. (Rated T for mild language and injury descriptions)

In the aftermath of the fight at Kaer Morhen, Jaskier is struggling to fit in. N.B. Spoilers for season 2 of Netflix's The Witcher. I tend to headcanon Jaskier as bi and in love with Geralt, but this story can be read either in that way or as them being just platonic. There's nothing sexual in this story, it's all emotion.

In Oxenfurt Yennefer and Cahir share a bath together to get rid of the sewer stench before boarding the ship to Cintra. However, not everything is as it appears to be ... (Sequel to "Time to take a bath")

"Monsters don't smile." He wondered why it came back to him now.

"But know this. You, you both ... "Jaskier paused, looking Yennefer in the eye. "... smell truly awful. I mean, ..." He grimaced. "... it is like something has crawled up your arses and died. So. We'll leave Oxenfurt at nightfall," he continued casually. "Plenty of time to take a bath before then." This is how Yennefer and Cahir end up in a bathtub together from Jaskier's POV.

SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2! Sometimes, Geralt wishes he were normal. Or whatever that's supposed to look like, when one is a Witcher.

For Jaskier, it all started with a tavern... of course, another one would drag him back into it. He just never imagined it would be Yennefer that would help to do the dragging though. (or: Jaskier and his thoughts when he sees Yennefer standing there.) season two spoilers if you haven't watched it yet.

Geralt breaks Jaskier out of prison. He never stops to think why he was in there in the first place. Season 2 speculation.
