A continuation for the storyline 'toxic tea' from chapter 13 in the short stories in 'it takes John Watson to save your life.'. Sherlock is poisoned and John saves him, but it's only the beginning of his medical treatment.

It's been a couple of weeks since Sherrinford and despite smoothing things over with Molly, he can't seem to shake the feeling that he's missed something crucial. Delving into his mind palace to replay the events, he notices something this time that he didn't pay attention to before. That leads him back to Molly's door, where a well-kept secret is accidentally revealed.

Molly's family is in desperate financial need. Sherlock is desperate to outwit the terms of his late Grandmother's bequest. When the two meet, it's obvious they're the solutions to one another's problems; Molly will pretend to be his fiancee, and he'll help her find a husband after he's received his inheritence. What could possibly go wrong?

I did a crossover between the first dialogue we saw between Sherlock and Molly in the series in 'A Study in Pink' and the last one in 'The Final Problem'—the ILY scene—, to see what my imagination could do. Here is the result.

Takes place just after the phone call in 'The Final Problem'. How will Molly react and how will Sherlock face what he's done? Is everything too far gone, broken beyond repair? Or can he gather enough confidence to simply tell Molly what he feels to ensure he never loses her for real?

Molly is leaving. London is full of too many memories, too many shadows loom over her and she wants a fresh start. She wants to move on. Sherlock doesn't want her to do any of those things.

Lestrade has to conduct a thorough background check on Dr. John Watson before he can allow him to help Sherlock solve crimes. In the process, he has a discussion with one of John's ex-army friends, and what he learns about the retired army doctor's history is most enlightening! (This used to be a one-shot, but now I've added a second chapter to it.)
