"Hey Peter," came the usual cheerful voice of his young friend. "You busy?" "A little," Peter said. In his many years of having conversations over the phone with M.J, he had learned how to handle situations like this. "Go ahead, but just know that you might have to talk at me and possibly repeat a couple details in a moment," he added, finally landing on the roof of the truck.

In the aftermath of the events of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Peter offers Miles a little guidance.

The fact was, he was here to meet with Rio Morales and confess his part in Miles keeping his own activities as the new Spider-Man a secret from her. Apparently while he'd been away, the woman had found out the truth, and had handled with it with all the grace he could hope for and then some, according to the young man.

"Everything alright?" Peter asked. The boy ran up to meet him; looking at him now, Peter guessed he was probably no older than 10 or 11. "Spider-Man!" the boy said excitedly. "My teacher told me I had to interview a superhero for a project; can I interview you?"

Suddenly, Miles eyes went wide. "Oh man!" "What is it?" Peter asked. "I forgot to put my suit on underneath," Miles explained. "Well, my OTHER suit." He walked towards the closet that had his Spider-Man suit, but Peter grabbed him gently but firmly in the arm, guiding him back in front of him. "Uh uh," Peter said. "Remember, I'm covering patrol tonight."

"Where are you?" Peter asked, his body tensing up as he heard a loud grunt from Miles. "Some back alley near 3rd and Grant," Miles said. "Thought it'd be a simple drug bust, until..." Then the line went dead.
