Al and Sam end one journey and begin another. - I originally wrote and posted this 14 years ago, but never reposted it when I discontinued my old account. Today seemed like a good say to repost. This is dedicated to the memory of Dean Stockwell. Without him, there never would have been an Al Calavicci. He breathed life into him and made into a beloved character.

Sam leaps into a mechanci who will be a victim of a fatal stabbing. But avoiding fate has its own complications...

We all took it hard, finding out Sam never returned home. This is my version of setting right what once went wrong. This is my attempt to bring Dr. Beckett home.

Four months after my story “Late in the Evening” and seven months after the episode “Mirror Image,” Sam is lost in the future. Once they find him, the true horror of the future is revealed.
