The sequel to "the Plight of the Dwarves". In this episode, Thorin and company are finding life in Lake-town to be hard. The men of Lake-town are not welcoming and the company of Dwarves have many dangers to face.

Thorin and Fili take a short trip out of town. While they are gone Kili has a really bad day which only spirals downhill when the two return. Kili angst/hurt. Comforting big brother Fili.

The original ending I had planned for my Hobbit fic 'Auburn Fire' before my best friend ordered me to change it. You'll see why. The Company stumble upon a door in a tree while they set up camp. The ever curious Kili and Fili open the door only to get the entire Company of Thorin Oakenshield pulled into the NYC apartment of three unsuspecting women. How will they adapt for a couple weeks in the 21st century? Will they get back home? Will the women join them? How can they change the fate of three dwarves?

Five years before Bilbo's adventure, two hobbits stumble across Erbor and Smaug. One of the hobbits steals some of the treasure and abandons his friend. So naturally Smaug decides to keep abandoned hobbit as his treasure. The surprising thing is that they have met before and it was not long ago. Bombur has a family and many worries ahead for them in his future. He is living a good life, he is lucky indeed and hopes that that will last.
