Post Book 3. As Korra's recovery begins, Mako makes a decision to travel to the fire nation and become a true master of fire bending. This story will follow Mako's journey, returning to a half recovered Korra and some changes he didn't expect to find in Republic City. Korra doesn't need a savior, but Mako will try anyway.
