Though exhausted from their long journey, Kong helps Godzilla the rest of the way up the slopes of Mount Doom to destroy the One Ring. And the only way for Kong to do it is to carry Godzilla on his back.

As Godzilla comes to terms about his destiny, his best friend Kong chases after him. And after saving his friend from drowning in the river, Godzilla sees just how much Kong is a good friend to him to take with him.

Alone and downtrodden, Godzilla journeys to Middle Earth to find some reprieve from his dismal life. Arriving there, he meets Sauron, and together they begin to break the shells surrounding their cold hearts.
