The sun slowly set behind the Domas Flou Coliseum; Zeldris continued to gaze in awe at the lacrimatrons that hovered in front of the grandstands where he sat. There stood the ten Fairy Tail wizards that reigned victorious. Natsu, Gray, Erza, Lucy, Wendy, Gajeel, Laxus, Mirajane, Juvia, and Elfman, all raising their right hands in the Fairy Tail hand signal in a salute of victory. Zeldris sighed in amazement as he watched them stand proudly, having defeated all the other guild wizards in the final battle for the overall victory. This is when Zeldris knew he wanted to join them; he wanted to join the Fairy Tail guild and to be just like them.

"And just like that folks, in their first year back since their victory in 791, Fairy Tail Teams A and B have kept all 10 of their members alive in this battle royale, and both teams tied at 60 points!" announcer Chopati Lola said over the stadium loudspeakers, followed by the roar of the crowd and waving of guild flags. Zeldris sat in simple awe of everything, a massive smile on his face.

Not long after that celebration, people began to file out of the coliseum. Zeldris was still staring in awe and spotted an older lady sitting a couple of rows below him. He shrugged and walked down, a kind smile on his face as he greeted her.

"Excuse me ma'am, do you need some help leaving the stadium?" She smiled and looked over to him.

"Young man, that would be very appreciated," the old woman responded

Zeldris smiled and helped her stand up, and the two of them began walking towards the stadium exit. Finally beginning to strike up conversation, the old lady spoke.

"So young man, you seem to be traveling alone; are you a guild wizard?"

Zeldris shook his head, smiling. "No ma'am, though after that performance by Fairy Tail, I want to go and join their guild."

She smiled and sighed. "Indeed, after that performance, no one will ever doubt their strength". She paused thinking for a moment. "Young man, my house is actually halfway between here and the town Magnolia, where Fairy Tail is located."

Zeldris froze in his tracks, quite taken aback by her words and the opportunity she was about to give him. "So, if you don't mind riding with me back there, then you can spend the night and walk to Magnolia."

Zeldris beamed from ear to ear. "Absolutely, and what's your name ma'am? I do make a point to know who I'm helping and/or riding with," he chuckled.

She smiled and said, "Ultear, and what's yours?" she asked, as they started walking.

"Zeldris, Zeldris Akuna."

Ultear sighed and motioned for them to stop, right by a park bench just beyond the coliseum gates. "Sorry for the stop. My body just isn't like it used to be, but as long as you don't mind riding with me and spending the night, I'll get you halfway to Magnolia. Does that sound fair?"

Zeldris smiled and nodded. "Of course, I'd be happy to."

A few minutes passed before Ultear tried to stand up again, and walked with Zeldris to exit the coliseum grounds. "So, besides the impressive display today, what makes you want to join Fairy Tail?"

Zeldris shrugged. "Well besides the events of today, the people of the village that raised me recommended that I head south and west to better my wizarding skills".

Ultear paused for a moment in her walking and then continued. "My covered carriage isn't much further, and to the south and west you say? Where are you from then? If you don't mind me asking?" Her ox and covered cart came into view.

"I forget the proper name of the town, but I'm from the northern continent of Giltena," Zeldris said, a little tired.

"I see. Well, that is interesting. I hope you can do well at Fairy Tail, they can always use a good wizard," she chuckled.

"Well thank you, it's nice to have someone so supportive," he smiled, "and is it that ox and cart there?" he asked, getting back to the task at hand.

"Yes, we should be back to my place before midnight", Zeldris nodded, finally the two reached the cart and climbed on.

"If you want, you can lay down in the back, I'll wake you prior to getting to my house, does that sound fair?" Zeldris yawned and began to get his sleeping bag unfurled that he was carrying and laid it out on the covered floor of the cart.

"That's fine by me," Zeldris said, climbing into his sleeping bag and began to doze off, his mind set on joining the wizarding guild, Fairy Tail.
