A/N: I have never written a fanfiction before and I'm mostly trying it out so I can get a better grasp on story telling, criticism is welcomed.

"Fate is a cruel mistress"

Humans for as long as they knew the concept of fate also knew of this quote and what it meant. It was a warning, A symbolic gesture or a way of explaining why the world was so cruel to them, why certain events took a sharp turn for the worst despite every sign pointing towards a successful outcome.

Those who believed this quote would be right.

Fate was not a mystical force like many believed but neither was she a deity like others claimed. She was a being g beyond the realm of godhood, a whole league of her own where the balance of reality and control rest in her hands.

It made her powerful, almighty a being that not even the strongest god would dear to go against her wishes, her commands for what the future entailed. As life continued she grew spiteful, arrogant in her own power and strength that she toyed with the worlds and its outcomes, who rose to power and who was left in the dust.

That was until humanity began.

She hated the creatures despised them, they were the only living creature that could break her hold over their fate she set for them, alter it to what they wanted and it angered her, why would it not? She was all powerful a perfect entity that was created for the soul purpose of controlling others destiny.

As time continued and humans flourished despite her best efforts to wipe them off the earth she had begun to see a pattern, soon humans had begun to believe in her worshipped her as the true almighty, praying and begging they be spared from her wrath. Tens turned to hundreds then to thousand until eventually the entirety of humanity knew who fate was.

But that's where the pattern begun, for every millions of devoted followers she had there was one who stood in defiance of here power. She hated those humans with a burning passion even more than her hatred of humanity.

She called them deviants.

Humans that fell into one of three or if lucky all three categories.

Immortals

Reality benders

World changers

Each category controlled some portion of fate in some way, shape or form.

Immortals avoided death never giving in to the tempting offer of peace and tranquility that came with the after life.

Reality benders were those That could shape realities through just a simple action that they were not meant to make whether it be eating an extra meal or discovering something that should have been left alone altered the fate of not only their reality but many other realities across the multi-verse.

World changers were humans that were in a way the embodiment of fate able to change and alter the course of their world however they saw fit, to be a tyrant, a ruler, a villain or a hero was their own choice that not even gate's best efforts could counter.

One of the variants of deviants that had been the target of her ire was one Uzumaki Naruto, a boy that has proved time and time again to defy her wishes and fate that she placed upon him. When he was meant to die, he lived, when he was meant to fail, he succeeded, when he was suppose to fall he continued to stand up. It was easy to tell the boy belong to two category of deviants, Reality benders and world changers.

Several occasions fate has tried to end him make him give and fall into darkness, to just be a long lost memory that no one would care about whether they forgot or remember. Her will had been carried out by the villagers he sworn to protect, brothers In arms and war never acknowledged him. He was a pest, a monster, a demon in the eyes of many yet he never gave up.

But that did not matter right now, as she gazed upon the fate she had just put for the last uzumaki and for the first time in a long time it seemed her plans were going to gain the results she wanted.

How wrong she would be.
