Summary: Iseabail Bochanan had been friends with the Holmes brothers when she was younger, but now as an adult and meeting Sherlock again along with his brother Mycroft. Do things change between them? Book 1 of the Detective Bochanan series.

Authoress Note: I know that I shouldn't be writing another series, but I wanted to try and write as much as I could before I got laid up from surgery that I would be having on July 1st. So this gives me a chance to get stuff out as quickly as I can without having to worry about everything later on. Without further ado the Prologue of Supposed to Be.

Prologue

Returning home wasn't easy for Iseabail Bochanan. She had been away learning how to become a Detective Inspector and it caused her to lose contact with her two friends that she had grown up Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes.

Mycroft being the slightly older brother supported the fact that Iseabail wanted to become something much more in her life and he knew that she would be the sharpest in the New Scotland Yard. He knew that she would do very well there cracking cases open easily.

But Mycroft's younger brother Sherlock didn't like the idea of Iseabail leaving him behind. He felt like she was abandoning him. He yelled at her the day that she left, to not bother coming back into his life if she walked out that door, which caused Iseabail to cry. She honestly thought that Sherlock would support her in wanting to become a Detective Inspector, but she had been sorely mistaken. True to Sherlock's wishes, she never bothered him again.

She left and went and studied to become the best Detective Inspector that she could be. She had worked her way up the ranks and to the point that she got paired up with Detective Inspector Lestrade. A man that was polite and kind to her and had along the way of working together the two of them became friends. Which was something that she would cherish while being out and about on the job. Until everything was turned upside down for her.
