Chapter 1: Familiar of Zero

Darkness, that was all I could feel traveling while my consciousness was slowly stared to fade. Memories of my past both good bad that I treasured but out of all them one voice was all I heard and It was... her voice.

"Sora don't ever change."

"This is real..."

"I told you Sora, your safe with me."

That was right her voice, her kindness, her beauty. Yes their was so much of her that he loved and knowing she felt the same.

"Don't ever forget. Where ever you go, I'm always with you."

"We'll be together everyday. Right, Sora."

"I want to be a part of your life no matter what. That's all.

"Kairi..." That right Kairi the girl I have love for years everything about would not leave my mind. She loved me I loved her more then anyone else, and before I knew it I was enveloped in a bright warm light.

Sora's could feel something soft underneath him. His eyes began to flutter a bit before opening, he was lying on the left side of his body his consciousness slowly returning, Sora's then open his eyes to see he was lying on some grass.

He started to turn over to his stomach using his arms up to push himself up, after he got up Sora looked at his left hand the feeling of his and Kairi's intertwine.

"What happened, how did I get here?" that was the question on his mind as he turned and saw a young girl who was slightly shorter then him asking him a question "You, where do you come from?"

"Huh."

Morning had come and it look like it was an institution of some kind the window was open and inside the room was a girl with long pink curly hair and matching eyes. She seem to have just woken up and was about to start her day. She brush her hair put on her clothes and grabbed a wand that was lying on top her table, with that she headed out the door.

Class had began and their was a introduced a woman that was wearing purple robe, a black dress and a pointed hat to match. "Hello everyone, and congratulations on making it to your second year of the tristain magic academy." The intro continued, "My name is my codename is the red moon Chereuse and my element is earth. I will be giving you all lectures on earth basic magic for the next two semester's."

While everyone was listening to Mrs. Chevreuse talking five of the male students were paying attention to a female student. She had long red hair with a tall buxom figure, brown skin with brownish gold eyes her uniform was the same as every else but her shirt was unbuttoned showing her breast and cleavage her name was Kirche von Zerbst.

Mrs. Chevreuse continued while her lectures, "Now can anyone tell me the four main element of magic." The teacher ask and on of the students stud up a young boy with blonde hair and blue eyes, he wore a white, ruffled-collar blouse underneath his black cloak and violet pants he even had a rose that serves as his wand.

"The four main element of magic are fire, water, wind and earth and it just so happens that my element is earth, same as yours, my lady.

"My name is Guiche de Granmont, and my codename is Bronze. I look forward to working with you." Guiche said in a somewhat flirtatious voice as he put his rose-wand in his mouth.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Mr. Granmont. Earth magic is one of the most important of all since governs all of creation, and to help you understand we'll be performing alchemy." The instructor then pulled out three small rocks and with the wave of her wand enchanted, "Lel, in, yan." The rocks had changed,

"Is it gold?" Kirche question in a surprised voice.

"No it's just brass." Her teacher corrected her while she had a look of disappointment now then she decided to let someone else try.

She look around the room and pointed to the girl who was taking notes asking for her name "Louise de la Vallière." Louise was about to walk to the teachers desk when all the class gave a worrisome look everyone was begging their teacher to not let her preform the spell. Louise was getting frustrated with how her class was telling her not to do it, so she began walk to teachers desk.

Everyone began to put their head's down or crawl under their tables, and one student a girl with blue hair and glasses grabbed her book and staff and calmly walked out the door and continued to walk way from the class. "Louise, don't do this, please." Kirche begged

"Shut up your distracting me." Louise replied back to Kirche.

"Calm your mind and visual the metal you want." said and Louise repeated the spell.

"Lel, in, yan." She chanted and the stones began to glow her strawberry color hair and eyes were shining along with rock.

Meanwhile in another part of the magic academy a woman who was filling out documents she seems to be in her early 20's. With long green hair that was tided in a ponytail, and an elderly person older then the woman was, he has long white hair and a long beard to go with along with all back robe with a hood.

"It seems we're off to starting this year with out any form of trouble. As the principal I couldn't be more happy." Said the elderly wizard as he smoked from his pipe only to have it levitate away from him by his secretary.

"Taking care of you is a part of my job master Osmond."

"Miss Longueville? Are you really fine with taking away what little pleasures I still have left in this world." The wizard know as osmond said walk to his secretary,

"Please stop rubbing my backside sir." Miss Longueville said as the old man quickly removed his hand from her butt.

"And please sir, stop acting like you have schizophrenia." Miss longueville said as she also swore under her breath to the principal who was acting crazy.

then remember something important, "That's right, tomorrow is the familiar summoning ritual for all the second years. A familiar is both servant and friend to their masters." Said the headmaster when a mouse came from his secretary clothes.

Osmond simply crouched down and the rodent climb to his hand "Take Motsognir here, he's been my companion for years." He said to young woman who was working although it seem he could understand what the mouse was saying, "Oh, white you say not bad. Although personally I think Miss Longueville would be better in black then in white."

Miss Longueville heard this a immediately closed her legs, and rushed to her boss with a heavy blush and veins popping out of her forehead. "Master Osmond, that's sexual harassment, if you ever do that again I'll report it to the palace." Longueville said as she was quite angry.

"Don't get so angry just because someone took a small peek at your underwear! keep up that attitude, and you'll find a man."

Now that had the green haired woman feeling upset so much so that she was kicking the old sorcerer who was begging her to stop. She then stop after a loud explosion. "Was that explosion just now?"

"Yes sir I assume it was her."

"The third daughter to the Vallière bloodline." The old man said.

Back to the class room their was a total mess no student was harm mostly their clothes were a mess especially Louise her uniform was the most torn out of everybody.

"What is wrong with you, are you trying to kill us!?" Kirche said angrily as Louise acted calmly to her

"It seem that I made a small error." That comment had Kirche growling in anger

"Like always you zero skill when it comes to magic!" Guiche shouting at the pink haired girl while red head followed up "Louise the zero." Louise acted like that name didn't bother her but internally that nickname always got to her, she then turn her attention to the teacher who was on the ground she didn't seem dead just laying unconscious twitching.

"So what happened another trip to detention, or are they finally expelling you personally I hope it's the latter." After class Louise was sent to the headmaster's office not much to her expression that Kirche was here along with the blue haired girl and another female, she had long blond, curly long hair and blue eyes with a large red ribbon tied around her hair, her name was Montmorency.

Both girls were laughing and the blue haired one was just staying silent, quietly reading her book not really paying any attention at all. "They choose to let me off with a warning this time, mostly because it was the teacher who is also to blame for having me come up, even with all the students telling her it was a bad idea." Louise told the girls and they just laughed even harder.

"I'm just having an off day alright." Louise said

"Tell me something I don't know, your always having a bad day. I mean you don't even have a real codename, Louise the Zero." Kirche said taunting the pink haired girl much to her irritation before continuing

"Tomorrow is when we summon our familiars, I'm sure yours will be another big blunder as usual." Boasted Kirche puffing her chest before the pink haired mage turned to the girl who was making fun of her.

"I have great confidence in the summon servant ritual!" She said making the two other girls stop. "I'll show you, I'll summon the most sacred, strong, and most beautiful familiar anyone has ever seen."

With that Louise walked away leaving both girls silent, "So Tabitha, how do you think tomorrow will be like." Kirche moved her head to the girl that was on her right and all she replied was, "I don't know?"

Night fell and Kirche was taking a bath thinking about what Louise said, "I don't understand at all, she never once got any spell to work, yet she still tries could she actually..." The red head then shook her head thinking way to much as she was relaxing she heard the sound of knocking.

"Oh right, I'll be there in a minute Styx." The female said while still in the tub

"Kirche it's me Pelisson are you awake?" The guy behind the door introduced himself

"Oops, I forgot Styxs is seeing me tomorrow." Kirche stood up and grabbed her wand as she did her towel wrapped itself around her.

"So sorry about that Pelisson, I'll be there in a moment." The curvaceous teen said as she used her wand to grab her sleepwear. Meanwhile Louise just walked and put on her nightgown as she did she walked and flopped onto her bed thinking about what she said to the girls making fun of her.

"I have great confidence in the summon servant ritual."

"Damn it why did I say that, why?" She whined burying her face into her pillow

Today way the day, everyone had already began summoning their familiars, the teacher who was supervising the students was a man who was in his early to mid 40s. "Hello everyone my name is Jean Colbert and I'll be supervising you all during this exam now let us being the ritual."

While everyone was excited Louise still felt anxious hoping she could do it

All the students familiars began to summon from simple animals to stranger creatures.

"You know, a familiar is to represent the mage you are now and the mage you are to become." Montmorency said. "I'll die of embarrassment if mine is as strange as that one." She finished as she was looking at a student who summoned a floating eye.

"I'm sure that you familiar will be a lovely as you are my darling." Guiche said in his narcissistic tone of voice "Any familiar that appears before you is only fitting for your beauty." He went on boring the blonde haired girl.

The next person to summon was Guiche who was giving a very long and unnecessary monologue before he was told to stop my his teacher the then began chanting, "I Guiche de Garmont ask the great Burimill for your guidance, please bring a noble being to aid at my side. Hear my command and show thy self."

Guice finished the spell only to find a mole that appeared. This action had him shocked before he heard the sound of flames, he turned to see a large red lizard with a flaming tail, "A salamander. Kirche did you summon this creature?" She simply nodded at Guiche as his attention was upon his mole.

"My word... you summon quite a spectacular familiar Miss Zerbst." Said the instructor

"Thank you, it's a perfect match for my codename Fever is it not." Kirche said

"Now has everyone summon?" The teacher questioned

"Not all of us. Louise hasn't summon her's yet." It was true everybody was done summon their familiars and Louise was the last one. "With all that talk the other day you said you would summon something even better then this, right." Said the flame mage

"Of course" Louise said with a pout on her face. "Please work, Please hear me, my familiar who lives among the star's. Appear to me oh wise, divine and strong! Answer my prayers and plea to my heart! Heed my guidance and come forth!"

The students question the chant that Louise just said, as she waved her wand and another explosion was unleashed no students were hurt but they were coughing up smoke and dust. Guiche then saw Montmorency on the ground

"Are you alright, what's wrong?" Montmorency just pointed without uttering any words, Guiche, Kirche, Tabitha and all the students were shocked as well when they what Louise had just summoned.

It was a boy probably a little younger than the rest of them, he was dressed in a strange outfit that was mixed with red and black, his shoes were large, his hair looked like it was abnormally sharp, he even wore a shaped crown necklace. The students began commenting at this.

"It's...A human?"

"Look at his outfit. He look like a plebeian."

"Yeah, he does look like he is."

"Why is his hair so pointy?"

Louise left eyebrow began to twitch after see the sleeping boy, "This...this is supposed to wise, divine and strong?"

End Flashback

"Again plebeian, who are you?" Sora couldn't understand what this girl was saying to him it was like she was speaking a different language. All he could do was give a look of confusion not knowing what she asked for.

"I see you were able to back up your claim, I mean of all things who would ever guess your familiar was a plebeian." Kirche said as she tried to stifle her amusement.

"I see you never fail at meeting our standard Louise the zero." said the students who were all starting to laugh.

"I just made a small error okay!" The strawberry girl said which only made everyone laugh even harder.

"Um, excuse me-." Sora tried to talk but was interrupted by Louise.

"BE QUITE, please let me redo the summon servant spell." simply said no leaving Louise questioning why.

"This ceremony has always been used to represent a noble's worth. Asking for a retake is basically disrespectful to the ritual itself, thus regardless this boy is your familiar."

"I can't tell what they're saying at all? Which was true it was confusing as to why Sora couldn't hear any them he was about to walk around when Louise grabbed him by his hood.

"Hey!"

"But you can't be serious a human as a familiar this is unheard of." Louise said as everyone was laughing again

"That's just how it is now finish the spell Miss Vallière." said to Louise who was complaining as she began poking Sora's side causing him to giggle. "Finish the ceremony if you keep stalling I will expel you from this Institution." Louise just gave up and sigh she then turned to Sora.

"You should be grateful, as a nobel I would never do this for someone of lower status." Louise said as she raised her wand and began reciting her vow.

"My name is Louise Françoise le Blanc de la Vallière. Oh hear me, pentagon of the five elemental powers; bless this humble being and make him my familiar."

Louise finish the chant and started to lean closer to her 'familiar' Sora, who was just standing still caught wind of this and immediately ducked his head he didn't want someone he just met stealing his first kiss, so instead of his lips Louise was kissing his forehead.

This action caused Sora blushing and stuttering incoherently, then all of a sudden he felt his whole body burn up. "What is this? What's happening to me!?" Sora shouted but they still couldn't understand him.

"It'll be over soon, the runes are just being engraved on you." Louise said but spiky haired teen couldn't understand what she said. The pain became even more unbearable, Sora took off his left gauntlet and markings appeared on his left hand. Colbert was the runes and was astonish by what was written on Sora's hand after a few more seconds the pain had stop and The keyblade wielder fell to the ground.

It was night and Sora had woken up from the pain, "Now where am I?" Is what he said out loud it look like he was in a room.

"So you finally wake up?" He looked to his left a saw Louise standing besides him with a disappointed look.

"Your that girl who tried to kiss me!"

"I thought about it long enough to make my stomach turn, but I'm done as of today you are my familiar." Louise said as the key bearer merely did a Kip-up and landed on his feet. When he got up he quickly summon his Kingdom key and let it vanish soon after, he didn't lose any of his powers but something still seems off. He tried to talk to the pink haired girl but when was about to her clothes were thrown at him as he saw her underwear.

"Wash my uniform and I want them iron as well. Even if you can't hear my language you should understand this at least right?" That was the order that Louise had given him but all Sora did was scream as he was covering his eyes with her outfit. Louise just looked at her spiky haired familiar thinking that he's dumber then a dog.

She had enough with all his nonsensical babbling, words that he was saying didn't make any sense and all it was giving Louise migraines. She then remember a spell that practically mutes people with out having them realize it now, how did it go again. "Ausul, bel, an. Answer my word and here my request, now silence."

But Instead of silencing all that happened was another explosion, Louise felt confused with what happened "...What was that a fireball or lightning." Louise gasped as Sora stood up brushing of his clothes.

"What am I going to do, she can't hear me and I can't even understand her just, what's going on?" Sora said while Louise just stood still and the next words that came out of her mouth was

"I understood what you just said."

"Wait you can hear me now, like now we speak the same language." Sora said as Louise nodded confirming that they were indeed speaking the same language.

"Say Something else!" Louise demanded

"Alright, are you speaking english or japanese to me?" Sora question as Louise just sigh at another spell gone wrong.

"You, what is your name." She then asked for her familiars name now that they can actually speak to each other.

"Right, my name is Sora, Sora Igarashi." he said with a smile, Louise was just confused at how strange his name is.

"Igarashi Sora?" Louise said back, what kinda name is that?

"So where are we anyway?" Sora questioned as he was wanting some answers.

"Your at the Tristain academy of magic, your also my familiar who I summoned during my ritual." Louise said putting her hands on her hips,

"Wait? Summon, familiar?" Sora though as he looked at the markings on his left hand.

After a few minutes of explaining Sora began to understand what was happening, he remember all the warnings about him using the power of waking. In his mind he was in another world, was this the price of the power of waking, just ending up in another world, no that couldn't be it could it?

"So, we are in the kingdom of Tristain on one of Halkeginia mainlands, and you a study here too right?" Sora replied, as he was leaning against the wall with his hands behind his head still feeling embarrassed about the girl who was still in her underwear.

"You shouldn't show such disrespect to a noble, especially one that is your master my name is Louise, Louise Françoise le Blanc de la Vallière. She introduced herself with a dignified tone.

"Alright, Louise, so that's your name huh?" Sora nodded "And I'm a 'familiar', a spirit creature that helps out mages and assist them with their magic, right."

"Yes, that is correct." She said with a bored expression sighing as well, "But why is my servant a plebeian with strange hair I wanted a griffin or a dragon or something even cooler." Louise complained shutting her eyes but the minute she opened them she saw her familiar disappear. "Wha!? Where did he go?" She looked and saw the window wide open, "Are you joking he ran away?"

Sora returned to the courtyard appeared he thought about the price he had to pay, if it was just appearing in a new world then all he just have to do is leave. The kingdom key appeared in Sora's hand, as he was preparing to open a gate... nothing happened, "Alright I know something is wrong here, I don't feel weaker then before and I still have my keyblade so, why can't I open a gate?"

Sora started as he question out loud as he thought back to his last conversation with everyone who warned him about misusing the power of waking, Chirithy included.

"What do you think the Power of Waking is?" The voice of is sworn enemy the young version of Xehanort entered in his mind.

"It's for traversing hearts to reach worlds. Not traversing through worlds to reach hearts. There's a high price to pay for wielding such power foolishly." He tought it was just a mind game he was playing. But, maybe not.

His mind then went to King Mickey also telling him that he should not use the power of waking to search of Kairi. "Sora, listen. The power of waking isn't to go chase hearts around! Even if you do locate Kairi, you might never come home to us again." And finally Chirithy's who's message was the most directs out of every one else.

"That's not how it's supposed to work at all. The power of waking is meant to be use to wake and restore sleeping hearts, not to restore them after they've completely faded away from existing." Sora train of thought continued remembering more of Chirithy's warning about how he had broken a taboo, to save his friends.

"Well you'll lose your powers, you won't be able to use the power the power of waking.You yourself...will vanish from this world, and without your powers you can't return to the world you came from."

Sora lowered his head and his hair was covering, his eyes but if you could look very closely the look of hopeless and fear were in them. He was trapped in a world, and his power of waking was gone, and now he had no way to return but he remember something important even if couldn't go home, his heart was still connected to the people back home.

His eyes that were once clouded were once again brimming with light again. Knowing that he'll find away home to his islands again... and to the girl who's on his every thought.

"There he is!" his inner monologue was broken when he saw Louise, Guiche, Kirche and some guy who was close to the fire mage.

"What the? What is this a zero gravity spell?" The spiky haired brunette said as he saw Guiche waving his rose,

"You know this is the second time I had to bring you a float."Guiche said with Kirche laughing a familiar running away from it's master. She couldn't stop it was so funny to her.

Sora was starting to feel sick from being constantly suede back and forth, he then looked at the two moons one blue and one pink thinking how is he going to handle this world.

Meanwhile at the far entrance of the school there stood a tall man who was wearing a all black coat he pulled back his hood to reveal his face, he had long hair which he had in a ponytail, he had a jagged scar on his left cheek as well as an eye patch on his right eye. With a slight motion of his hand a keyblade, the gazing eye had appeared.

He the turned his attention from the school to the dark keyblade in his hand. "So looks likes the fate is going the way it should be, alright kid show them as always what you can do." After that he opened a corridor of darkness and vanished with out a trace.
