Harry Potter - Spider-Man: Home Matters

A sequel to Harry Potter – Spider-Man: Broken Web.

You don't need to read Broken Web, but it would be cool if you wanted to. I also recommend listening to the Amazing Spider-Man 2 soundtrack while reading, which was a big inspiration for this! Enjoy!

Author's Introduction:

Following the events of Harry Potter - Spider-Man: Broken Web, Harry Potter is still Spider-Man and have joined the Avengers after his sixth year in Hogwarts. Although he still prefers to swing solo, in times of urgency he joins the team as they fight villains threatening Earth and the universe as we know it.

Previously Harry fought the three menacing Goblins; Wilfred Jade, Draco Malfoy and Ron Weasley. Wilfred Jade was a Death eater serving Lord Voldemort, a mastermind who turned Draco Malfoy and Ron Weasley into two twisted versions of themselves.

Wearing Harry down, Wilfred finally managed to ruin Harry's life by making Ron kill Hermione.

Harry travelled back in time to save Hermione, the current love of his life from his best friend and came out the other way victorious. But every action has a consequence, and Harry must face the potential danger he's brought upon the world.

In a world not unlike ours, ravaged by war and destruction…

He woke up from another brief dream, this one had been less detailed than the last. He had nodded off in this old ruined armchair. In pure exhaustion he threw his head upwards and let out a loud sigh.

His mind and muscles were aching, body tired, the suit was just a dusty old relic with more sewn together rips and tears than he could count. Some parts were just better to leave torn off.

Sure, he had his old wand but even that seemed to fail him these days; misfired and botched spells were almost a given.

His hand stretched out for the water bottle on the small table beside him. Empty – figures. He didn't even have the strength or will to be angry at the lack of water. The bottle just simply fell out of his hand and hit the ground with a soft thud.

Food and water were scarce because the world he knew didn't exist anymore, just destruction and painful memories. He often wondered when this old derelict building would just give away and maybe spare him the pain of having to survive. Slowly, using whatever was left of his spider-strength, he pushed himself out of the armchair and stumbled a few steps forward in his slightly groggy state.

Reaching for his web-shooters lying on the table was like a habit he couldn't shake, but he didn't need them because the web-fluid had run out years ago. His hand quickly retracted, and instead he walked towards the window. He was immediately reminded about all the broken promises, all the hurt and the death.

The clouds were dark and gloomy, casting a depressing grey shadow over the buildings and streets.

His beat and aged face stared back at him in the reflection. He remembered how Lord Voldemort had got his hands on the Deathly Hallows and killed off some of the most powerful people he ever knew.

He had collected the Infinity Stones, and combined with the Elder Wand half the Avengers had been wiped out in minutes. Harry had barely escaped with his life. It had been ten years ever since.

Ten years, ten years of misery and he was all out of options. He could still see the corpses of people closest to him, all who had died in the chaos even after he had tried to protect them; Ron, Hermione, aunt Petunia, even some of his schoolmates. Hell, the Avengers probably only consisted of the very few people that either were lucky enough to not be on Earth when it happened, or superpowered people like him.

And the Order of the Phoenix he could not say for certain but and he was furious with them; Albus Dumbledore, one of the most powerful wizards of all time could not even stop the annihilation of humanity, or maybe just protect people from it? What a god damn joke.

He clenched his fist and walked over to the table, raised his fist in the air and slammed it so hard into the table it scattered everywhere with splinters flying across the room. He kicked the armchair in a furious rage and screamed.

A few moments passed as his rage slowly subsided, but before he could really do anything else, the entire building started to shake, like it was one giant toy being shaken by an even bigger being.

And then he completely lost his footing and was pulled like attached to a string towards a sudden giant black hole, like someone had ripped away the very fabric of space apart. He was barely managing to stick to the floor as the entire building seemed to be tilting and pulling him towards the black hole like he was being pulled on a string.

The black hole started to swirl with a strange, hypnotizing blue energy – pulling him even harder towards it.

He could feel his powers failing him and then he fell into the swirling blue pool and for a few seconds there was nothing.

It was like sleeping. Pitch black. Feeling at peace.

Then suddenly he started to feel people knocking into him, all around him. Bright light suddenly showed him who, or what he was surrounded by; a literal army of Spider-Men… Spider-People.

There was some kid in the middle of it all, wearing the old classic red and blue suit. It gave him a very strange, nostalgic feeling.

This kid spoke like he thought he was insane, and he couldn't exactly blame him… "it was a room filled with people in spandex, for the most part" he thought as he stared at a Spider-Person outfitted in full futuristic armour, glowing like a freaking Christmas tree, staring right back at him.

"What?" asked the futuristic Spider.

They looked at each other for a few awkward seconds.

He shrugged and focused on the kid in the middle of it all.

The kid yammered on and on about something he honestly really didn't care about, time travel there, dead girlfriend here, big disaster and so on; "yeah get used to it", he thought.

As the kid talked on and on, he started feeling angry. He thought how stupidly naïve this kid was, and how extremely short-sighted he was. This "kid" used to be him, but he was responsible for putting him, them – it didn't matter – into this situation.

And then everything went black.

Authors end of chapter notes: I love building up this bigger world, or well multiverse around Harry. I also really love an old grizzled Spider-Harry that has lost everything, maybe we'll see him later who knows?
