Author's Notes: I apologize that it took so long to get this written. I had the idea I wanted, but it's taking too long to compile my thoughts :) Anyway, here is the first chapter.

Chapter 1

Two years. Almost three years.

That is how long Nicole has been on this god forsaken ship. Regen zapped her off of the saucer section as it crashed into Meriden III. She got word that the Enterprise-D was unsalvageable. There was talk of a new Enterprise though. The Enterprise-E. Sometimes being a pirate Captain has its perks.

Nicole played with the chain that she had around her neck. She kept two rings on it. Two certain rings. A black Starfleet Academy class ring. And a golden wedding band. She never forgot the android. The love of her life. She hid the rings on this chain under her shirt.

Regen was killed about a month or two ago, leaving Nicole in charge of the ship. A stolen starfleet vessel. Not that she minded. She loved the tiny defiant class ship.

Nicole sat down in her chair. Her legs were dangling on the arm rest. She began playing with a small controller in her hand. When one of the human crewmembers named River brought three people onto the bridge. Her heart dropped and she tried so hard to not lose control.

Lieutenant Commander Data, Counselor Troi, and Commander Riker were sitting on their knees. Their hands were bound behind their backs. Data could easily break free, but Commander Riker probably gave him the order to not to. River explained that they had to kill another member of the team. Nicole wondered who it was.

"They snuck on board while we were getting supplies, Nikki." River said.

"Really?" Nicole smiled evilly. She stayed sitting in her chair.

"Nikki." Troi tried to reach her telepathically. Nicole heard her but ignored it.

"It's funny how your precious Starfleet would not forget about you." Her first officer, a Cardassian named Brerrok Tamlo said.

He was an outsider. Nicole found him fighting for survival on some planet. So she asked him to join her team. He fought his way to be her first officer.

"Can you blame them? I was one of the best Engineers they had." Nicole said, sure of herself.

Brerrok just smiled. He stood behind her chair. He glared at the officers. Nicole moved to a standing position. She put the controller back in it's hollister on her belt.

"What should we do with them, Nikki?" Brerrok asked.

Nicole smiled evilly. "We should have enough collars." She then crossed to stand in front of the android. She could sense emotions coming from him. He was happy to see her and scared that something was going to happen to him. "However, it won't work on this one."

"We could always deactivate him." River suggested. He stood behind Nicole.

She saw the shocked look in his yellow eyes. She just shook her head. "Nah. I think he would make an excellent asset." Nicole said.

"He can help out my men in Engineering." Brerrok said. They had two other Cardassians on board. They, to, were outsiders that joined the team.

Nicole nodded her head. "Get me two collars." She ordered.

A moment later, two collars with blinking lights were brought to her. She crouched down in front of the empathic Counselor to fit the collar around her neck. Troi tried to contact her telepathically again but Nicole just ignored her.

She then moved to crouch in front of her father. She ignored his whispers and pleeze to stop this. Once she was done, she moved back to her seat. She took out the controller before she sat down though.

"Let's see if they work." Nicole smiled evilly as she pushed a button.

Both Troi and Commander Riker fell from their knees to the deck. The collar sent a shockwave through the both of them. Similar to a taser that law enforcement used. Nicole and Brerrok chuckled along most of the bridge staff.

Once they were able to relax. Commander Riker glared at his daughter. He was ready to say something, but Troi convinced him not to through their telepathic bond.

"Well that was fun." Nicole laughed. She then turned to Brerrok. "Get them off my bridge." She ordered.

Brerrok glared at River who removed them from the bridge. Nicole closed her eyes for a second to regain control. She then looked out at the view screen of stars moving past at warp.

Later that evening, Nicole retired to her quarters to rest for the night. Once the door shut behind her, she found herself crouching down against the bulkhead. Taking several deep breaths, she hid her face in her arms. Starfleet didn't forget about her.

The next morning a sleep deprived Nicole, walked into the dining hall. She went to the replicator and asked for a cup of coffee. She sat down at a table to drink it.

From a distance, Commander Riker watched Nicole. Even though she was his daughter, he was ready to protect himself and his team when needed.

"Will." Troi warned. "You need to relax. Nicole was saddened by what happened."

"My daughter isn't a bully, Deanna!" Commander Riker whispered angrily.

"No, but I think there's a reason she has to be like this right now." Troi whispered.

"What do you mean, counselor?" Data asked.

"Data, you're married to my daughter. How many times do I have to tell you to call me, Deanna?" Troi said, smiling.

Data just tilted his head, causing Troi to laugh out loud. Nicole noticed them laughing as did other members of her crew. She smirked slightly.

I missed them so much, she thought to herself.

"Tamlo to Nikki." Brerrok's voice came over the comm, redirecting her thoughts.

She slapped her communicator which had a cursive S and R intertwined. "Go ahead."

"I need some help down here if we want to leave before we are found." Brerrok said.

"Understood, I will get you some help. Nikki out." She said, slapping her communicator again to end the channel.

Once she drained her coffee, Nicole got up from the table and walked over to the trio. "You, Android." She pointed to Data.

"My name is Data." Data said, as he stood. Nicole just rolled her eyes.

"Do you have knowledge about this ship?" Nicole asked, folding her arms across her chest.

"Accessing." Data's eyes moved as he accessed his memory banks for knowledge of this ship. "Yes, this is a prototype to the defiant class ship that Captain Sisco….."

Nicole tried her best not to get lost in his yellow eyes like she had so many years ago. She wanted to so desperately throw herself at him, but she had to control her emotions.

"Okay enough!" Nicole said, stopping Data's rambling.

Data stopped talking. He tilted his head. He noticed the woman before him. Her normally vibrant blue eyes were dull and lifeless. Dark circles were pronounced underneath them. He also noticed how light her skin was. His iconic memory brought up a time where she was so pale from the lack of sleep that she ended up passing out in his arms. Data became ultimately concerned for his wife.

"Report to engineering. They need help with bringing the engines back online." Nicole then turned to Commander Riker. "Will, go with him."

"Yes ma'am." Commander Riker said. He then got up and followed Data.

Nicole looked at Troi for an instant before she left the dining hall to head to the bridge.

"What do you mean it will take another hour!?" Nicole asked angrily. Every minute that they are in this part of the galaxy is one step closer to Starfleet finding them.

"The engines are fried Nikki. I can only give you impulse right now." one of Brerrok's men explained.

"We're in Starfleet territory. They'll find us if we don't leave!" Nicole exclaimed.

"We need more help!"

Nicole rolled her eyes. She then took off her black leather jacket. She also took off the chain with the rings on it so it wouldn't get in the way. Data became aroused at the sight of his wife in a black tank top. It's been too long since he'd seen her.

"Relax Mr. Data." Commander Riker whispered, noticing Data watch Nicole with lustful eyes.

"She is my wife, sir." Data whispered back.

"I understand but maybe it is best to turn off your emotion chip." Commander Riker whispered.

To his disapproval he tilted his head to deactivate the emotion chip.

"Will, I need a hand over here." Nicole called from her location.

Leaving Data's side, Commander Riker went to assist Nicole. They were only able to achieve warp 2 but it was enough to get them moving.

She put her leather jacket back on over her tank top. She slipped the chain in her pocket to keep it hidden. Nicole looked up to see Data looking at her. He was unable to see what was on the chain from his location, but he knew it must've met something, because she tried her hardest to keep it hidden. He also noticed the tattoo on her forearm while they were working on the engines. Nicole just winked at him which caused him to tilt his head.
